My experience seemed nearly too good to be true, so I've waited until everything that was supposed to happen did so that I could write a complete review. I bought the original Droid 6 years ago and was quite happy with it. I'd been out of contract on a Verizon plan that suited me, so I wasn't looking to get into any new contracts. Additionally, I was contract-averse because 3 times either I or my daughter found ourselves with the unexpected opportunity to live abroad for a year or so while in the middle of a contract. That was a hassle I didn't wish to repeat. Recently I had been admiring all the new Android and iPhones and their big print and amazing graphics. I was ready to entertain the idea of getting a new phone. Because of past positive experience at this place of business, I decided to go there again. Jon Cermak greeted me and listened to my situation, including my aversion to new contracts. He offered me something that Verizon customer service did not offer, and that the Verizon kiosk workers in Costco did not offer me. I liked his option. He offered me a choice of an HTC or Samsung phone, each with a rebate equal to the initial cost of the phone. I would have to sign a new 2-year contract, but he explained how even if I had to bail on it within a few months, the eventual price of the phone would be less than if I bought the phone and stayed out of contract. And, the new plan was as good as what I had and didn't cost me any more! I decided to sleep on it, and get the advice of my tech-savvy daughter before deciding. Three days later when I went back in for my appointment with Jon, he told me that the rebate on my chosen phone, the HTC, had gone from $100 down to $50. That was disappointing, and I wondered why he hadn't told me that it might go down soon. (I didn't ask.) But Jon had a solution. He said the rebate sometimes went back to $100, so if I wanted to go ahead with the sale, he would provide me with all the paperwork for the rebate, but that I could hold onto it until the next week when the new rebates came out. If it went back up to $100, he would reprocess my sale so that I could get the $100 rebate. I went ahead, and he called me as promised on the day the rebate could change to tell me it had gone back up to $100. He made an appointment for me to go back in and redo the sale. It went smoothly. He gave me the new paperwork, complete with an envelope appropriately addressed. All I had to do was cut out the UPC info from the box, add a stamp, and mail in the rebate. The rebate came a few weeks later for $100, which means I have a fabulous new phone at no cost. I love love love the phone, especially the large print and the great photo editing options! Jon was an outstanding salesperson. He listened to what I wanted and didn't want. He addressed everything in his mild-mannered way. My grandmother (Karen) and I (Mathew) recently came into the McMinnville Verizon store next to Domino's for two tasks: 1) to transfer my line from her account to my own and 2) to upgrade me, for the first time in my life, from a Samsung flip-phone to a smartphone. The Sales Representative that we worked with for several hours was named Tyler. If you come into the store and see a smartly dressed gentleman with a bow tie named Tyler make him your go to person; he will not steer you wrong. Tyler did a phenomenal job at helping us understand the process and all the tasks and steps required to meet our goals. Tyler, along with wearing a killer bow tie, was very kind and clarifying when tending to our questions and concerns. Tyler was very knowledgeable and gave me great advice on what type of phone would best suit my needs and personal liking. I will admit he even talked me into an iPhone 7 whereas my original choice had been an iPhone 6; but he did so cordially by systematically walking me through the pros and cons of both phones. While sitting in the uncomfortable chairs, which were difficult on my grandmother's back, he kept our spirits high by making allowances for our horrible joke attempts and "witty" banter. Tyler seemed to do all in his power to make the process as convenience and simply for us as possible which was helpful because neither of us are very good with technology. Furthermore, my grandmother has worked with Tyler in the past when she has come into the store and she has never been disappointed. Tyler has always respected and treated her as a valued customer and has always ensured that she was given the highest customer sales experience possible. Overall, I found Tyler to be integral to the Verizon experience and would definitely take my business elsewhere if he were ever to leave. read more

I subscribe to Verizon because they have the best coverage out in the sticks where I live, but I've never been a fan of Verizon itself. (pricey - pushy) Dealing with sales was something that simply had to be endured from time to time much like a prostrate exam. This last Visit to the store on Reed Market Rd. was a pleasant surprise due to the help of a capable consultant. It was time to upgrade my phone and past time to get my wife a smart phone. After a short wait James Heigh came to our assistance. I can't remember when I have been helped by a more capable or congenial consultant. He knew his products, and led us to what we wanted even when we weren't sure what that was ourselves. He told us about the costs and made sure we understood about the rebates. He even filled out the rebate forms for us. Since is was my wife's first "smartphone" experience James gave her a good starter lesson and even set her up with her own e-mail address. All of this took a couple of hours and James worked with us cheerfully through what I'm sure must have been his lunch. He chuckled at my puny jokes and took care of us as if we were old and valued friends. My opinion of Verizon's Cellular Sales will never be the same. If your in the market for a Verizon Cellphone. June 4th 2015 I am writing to state our pleasure with Alex Nase.. We met Alex in Bend last April while on our anniversary. I wanted to update my wife's phone. Alex was not only helpful but VERY knowledgeable about what was and was not a good deal. He not only set us up with a new phone but a tablet for my wife to have at a very good price as well. Since then, we have had the need for his help a few other times. While we live just outside of Salem, Oregon, Alex is the one we contact when we need help because we have not had as good an experience with Verizon Representatives in the Salem Area. We were returning the first of this week from my mothers funeral in Boise Idaho. We were both having problems with our phone ear buds so we stopped at the store in Bend and spoke with Alex. He acted very glad to see us again and sat down with us, fixed our phone ear bud issues with no attempt to sell us anything or try to convince us we needed something else. It was an awful morning because I had problems with my phone and [some other provider] made me feel even worse ( I made my mind to switch to Verizon. Luckuly, I entered 859 Broadway! Aziza Patterson, a Solutions Specialist, greeted me with a friendly smile. Although my problem was not so easy to solve, she did her best and showed herself to be both a high professional specialist and a customer-oriented, friendly person. As it took long to deal with all my problems, she offered me her sitting working place and was standing herself! At last, I got the most suitable Plan, saved my old telephone number, which was essential, and left the office in the perfect mood, being sure that Verizon is the best company!! Besides, as I spent rather a long time there, I noticed that the staff at 589 Broadway is really a Team - professional, friendly to customers and to each other! I've been in several cellular sales stores and I have to say that I always dreaded walking into the most recent that I had been using because of poor customer service and basically being told to "take a number and wait an hour". Not so with the SE 3rd St. Verizon store. The friendly, relaxed atmosphere is noticed from the time you walk in. Katie is the rep who helped me the first time I went in, and I will forever request her. She is absolutely the best! So knowledgeable and explains everything easily and in terms that I can follow the first time. She was amazing when I made an appointment to find out about adding a line and buying another phone for my husband. She had thoroughly researched my plan and device prior to my arrival, was completely ready for me with phones that she had pulled for me to look at, already knew the differences in cost that each option would add to my plan. My 92-year-old mother was looking for a new flip phone because the old one was failing, and was dreading the long lines and high pressure sales tactics she usually encounters at Verizon. She asked if we could please find somewhere else to get her a new phone. I searched online, and found Cellular Sales, among other places. We figured we would spend the whole day going from place to place to get this done. We needn't have worried. Jessica at Cellular Sales did a great job of helping her. She gave my mother exactly what she asked for, and got it set up quickly and easily. She even took the extra step of increasing the font size so it would be easier for her to use. Jessica took the time to answer all her questions, and made her feel so comfortable. She was patient, kind and professional. My boyfriend and I needed help getting off of our parents plans and onto our own as well as upgrading my boyfriends phone. Benjamin took us right away and helped us with such kindness. I've never experienced such a smooth and fun experience getting a new phone in a timely manner. He was extremely knowledgeable and had an answer for all of our questions. He was so incredibly nice and extremely funny. We did not feel uncomfortable or pressured threw the whole process. It took us less than an hour to switch both my boyfriend and I over, back up his phone, set up his new phone, pick out our plan and both leave with a new case and screen protector. He was just there to help us and guide us with every move which was exactly what we wanted. No pressure to upsell or upgrade. Do NOT work with Brad! There are two Brads at this location, I am referring to one that is probably in his early 30's. He is simply a used car salesman that will give you false information in order to get you to contract. He sounded nice and professional so I decided to look into the contract details online. Found out he is just making pricing/rebates/discounts up to get you to sign. I am glad I didn't sign anything with him as he would have earned commission. If you want to use Verizon just go online to purchase your phone and plan. Do not let this type of business benefit and take advantage of you. I question if the store owner/manager is the one teaching these tactics to their employees.. Just read all the other negative reviews. It seems like it revolves around this individual! read more

My complaint is with the Iphone insurance Cellular Sales writes for its own company. I cancelled in one week and rep mistakenly reinstated me after terminating. This resulted in an additional charge to my credit card after I was advised I would be getting refund on the monthly rate already charged to my card. When I saw charge, I confronted Cellular Sales and rep admitted mistake on their part but they could not correct. I was advised I had to file a "complaint resolution form" to be considered for overcharge refund. My advise: NEVER DEAL WITH CELLULAR SALES AT Verizon for anything. Verizon should have some control over these reps but they advised they did not. It is solely a contract service selling at Verizon Stores. Buyers Beware!!! read more

We recently went into the local Verizon store to see if we were eligible to upgrade our cell phones. We met James Heigh at the local Bend, OR Verizon store right off Reed Market and 3rd St in Bend. James was awesome to work with - very knowledgeable and very personable. We had an awesome experience purchasing 3 brand new phones at discounted prices, signed up for a new plan with more bells and whistles and walked out very happy and excited about our new phones. We highly recommend anyone shopping for new cell phones or service to visit James for a great experience!!! I have been with verizon for many years and have been a fairly happy customer. My issues in the past have always been the same though when upgrading devices. The salespeople are not trained that well for new product information. However my new upgrade buying experience was really great. I worked with Alexis Eudy at the store on south 97. she was excellent on follow up and totally knew the iphone6 plus info front to back. She was polite and prompt with all my questions even when the store got busy. She called and followed up when ever I had questions and did so promptly. I live in New York but I am on a business plan originating from Bend, OR. I needed help getting my new phones set up and shipped out to the East Coast. Loren, The sales rep that assisted me was outstanding. I had many questions along the way and even ran into a few challenges with shipping. This resulted in me texting Loren continuously for about a week. She responded to my texts immediately and was extremely helpful throughout the entire process. I walked into this location feeling frustrated and upset! I was having issues with my phone and needed help. James greeted me at the door and welcomed me in to his desk. He went above and beyond to help me when dealing with the warranty department. He wouldn't take NO for an answer. After being recommended to Best Buy to deal with a Samsung tech and no luck, I returned to Verizon and waited for James to finish with his current client. Lowest form of human scum are the sales people in this Verizon store. I have been in business for 35 years and sat down with my wife and listened to the two rookie liars give their verizon pitch. I pointed out each of their lies as they were told and then we stood up laughed in their faces and left. I went in and wanted to get off prepaid. And I only had 40 to spend. I walked out with free s3 which I love and a otter box for 35 $ they matched the price I found on Amazon. The lady was very helpful. And I have amazing service. Only thing I don't like is I have to wait until my prepaid plan expires before I can use my new smartphone. Which is only until midnight.
