First of all the internet service is terrible. They guys they hire are on commission and don't train have no idea what they're selling. They're just told to sell as much as they can and they will tell you anything you wanna hear including the wrong cost of service. I was told my bill would be $72. It was $189 and the explanation was that we told you it would be a little higher the first time the Internet is very very slow. It was obvious salesmen knew I was a senior woman and could be lied to without any retaliation. They promised Netflix and HBO Max and HBO Max does not work. Don't read this as a flame mail but a cautionary tale. We've historically purchased 1 phone from this store & loved the process & the product. This time around the service, communication, and results were awful. We purchased a phone for my son on 12/31 with the understanding that it wasn't in inventory & would be shipped out as he's away at college. This understanding was confirmed 3x with the salesman Cody before ordering the phone, and again when it arrived in their store on 1/14 saying the phone would be sent on 1/17. Not seeing the phone 10 days later I've tried to get in touch with someone in charge 7x. Finally Kristopher returns a call and promises to look into it as Cody is out on extended leave again (which has happened twice). Kristopher doesn't keep his promise to call back the next day, and 4 days later I call back to speak with him. I'm hung up on three times. I finally speak to a team lead Chris D who says what Cody had promised multiple times is all wrong, they won't ship a phone and somebody needs to pick it up in person. Apologies galore from them and I'm guessing they may even respond to this review with one, but no phone, one frustrated customer who will *NEVER* use this store again and warn others. read more

They have good customer service, but here's my problem, when I got my new phone I just asked if they had a screen protector, the gal said "yes, i can put one on for you real quick", it took her about 15 seconds to put it on. She was really good. Then I paid for the screen protector. then I looked at my bank transaction when I got home, I was charged $50 for that!!! screen protectors are about five bucks anywhere. That's absolute bullshit. People are struggling already and for VERIZON to pull that is absolutely atrocious. When you get your new phone, go to Walmart and buy your cases and screen protectors. Simply came to upgrade my phone. The guy that was helping me had no clue what he was doing and had to ask the person behind him to walk him through every single step after 45 minutes of waiting they did not have the phone I needed and now they need to order It definitely does not make me want to stick with Verizon and will be taking my husband's business account elsewhere..... meanwhile my son in Boise also had a problem with his phone and it has been a nightmare to try to get it all squared away. My experience as a business owner at this store today was the worst customer service experience I have ever encountered. I first visited this store in Nov. of '23 where I was eagerly helped, given a device so I could run internet for my business (I had just relocated to a rural location where high-speed internet was not readily available) using a cell number, and told it was free for one month trial and then $50 something/month after. During my in-person meeting it was not conveyed to me that I was entering 24 month contract if I didn't return it in 30 days and that would be binding for $400 and a buyout would be needed if I for any reason exceeded the one-month trial. There was not a follow-up e-mail nearing the one-month time frame that conveyed this either. Nor was it conveyed that I would also incur a fee every month for the device or what that fee would be. The implicit non-disclosure is something I have not ever encountered with my current service provider AT&T for over 20 years. None of these details were explained to me. I'm a competent and successful business owner who prides myself on keeping track of the details. The device was slow and didn't work for me, after about one month I unplugged it and quit using it, and thought I was paying the $50 something/month until I returned the device and cancelled my service. When I went in today to return it and cancel the service, I was told I was in a contract and would need to buy-out the device for $360 (They kept referring the cost being associated to the device but in reality it was not). Furthermore I was mansplained that perhaps I didn't understand how subscriptions/contracts worked as he began to talk about his own personal HBO contract in a condescending tone as if I were an idiot. I have never been so furious by such poor and unprofessional customer service in my lifetime. On further review after paying $366.63 because I could get no actual customer service except programatic speak, I came home and on deeper review noted my business account had been charged $83.21/month not the $50/month promised on top of failing to mention the device fee and the contract. Business owners beware. I will take this up with Verizon corporate and definitely will not be taking my business wireless to Verizon. read more

I recently switched to Verizon again from Mint Mobile. I was nervous, but the Salesman, John M., took amazing care of me. I also ordered a phone case for delivery that, unfortunately, got lost in the mail. Not only did they refund my credit card, but they ordered me a new case, absolutely complimentary! PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: Don't come to this store for anything unless you like dealing with people who don't understand their own plans, pricing, billing, promotions, etc. If you need a new phone, an upgrade, or change to your plan, etc. then just do it on www.verizon.com where you can clearly see all the accurate information and pricing upfront instead of relying on someone who will give you mis-information and waste your time! Also, keep in mind this store is NOT an official Verizon Wireless store. They are "Cellular Sales" staffed with "independent contractors". It is BETTER to deal with Verizon directly! We came in here to add a new line/phone to our existing plan. At the same time we also updated our existing plan. All of the billing, fees and charges explained to us in-store were either WRONG and/or not fully disclosed. We were told the new phone was FREE. WRONG! I'm now paying a difference between the monthly credit and monthly payment! We were told the only extra charge would be the $35 activation fee on the new line/phone. WRONG! In addition to the $35, I also paid an extra $80 fee the first month due to changing the plans on our existing phones! I wonder how business practices like this are even LEGAL? Is it lying or just incompetence? I learned the hard way dealing with these "independent contractors" so don't make the same mistake. Just go online with Verizon directly to get what you need and avoid wasting your time with these clowns! read more

They will offer you deals that they can't actually deliver on, and then you will get double billed by Verizon. In particular, watch out for Tony. He is less than worthless. Another great experience working with Loren! Just upgraded my old iPhone to new iPhone 12-pro, and what an easy process. Seems like others have had negative experiences here and I'm no lover of cell companies, but I had exceptional customer service thanks to Loren! We added three new phones and a new line with a buy-one-get-one-free deal (plus a killer trade-in deal). She knew all the deals, was cool with me price checking what I could sell our old phone for, and then found the trade-in that beat all that. Beyond fast, knowledgeable, and efficient service, Loren was cheery, funny, and clearly knew her stuff. She also facilitated easy activiations, handled it all over the phone, and made curbside pickup easy. Maybe some sales reps at Cellular Sales aren't getting it done, but my experience was fantastic. read more

My senior dad went in to replace a phone and asked for the cheapest one they had. They charged him $300 (265 + 35 fee) for a 2021 model phone - the exact phone I have the 2022 model of and paid $100 new (no fees, plus tax - at least you guys don't have sales tax). My dad didn't know any better. Plus they somehow slid him into unnecessary financing (I won't say tricked because maybe he's fine with that part, but to ask for the cheapest phone and end up with financing is absurd). When I went in early October, the store was absolutely slammed, and they were very short staffed (I understand that part, all of that is outside of the employees' and managers' control, and we remained patient). Once our turn finally came around, we thought the woman helping us was doing great explaining everything, but it was so loud, I was having a hard time understanding, so I either missed a ton of information, or missed the fact that I was not given all of the information. After the fact, I realized I was not told any information about our phone plans, that my new phone's price was contingent on me having the most expensive plan, for over $100, which provides worse service than my $35 straight talk plan provided. We ended up having to go back in to bring in my trade-in phone, and got some of the other information that was left out previously, but the representative that helped us that time was very unaware of the service area we are in, and gave us incorrect information (by no fault of his own, we live in a small town most people overlook). Neither of those two representatives were particularly friendly, and it was very obvious that they are paid commission based on their attitudes, behavior, and the information they provided and withheld. the first time we went in, I was also helped by two other gentleman who were absolutely fantastic, one was fairly new, and the other seemed to have been the person who trained him, but they were both super friendly, and very helpful. I wish I could remember their names, because I would highly recommend talking to them over the others I encountered, but I overall do not recommend Verizon at all, as our bill has changed every month over the last two months, the first month was expected, but this month, it's claiming that I have an unpaid balance, while my bank says that the payment has posted. We will be calling the billing department when we get time this weekend, but the second my contract is up, and my phone is paid, I will not be using Verizon again. Everyone claimed it was so much better, but so far it has been nothing but trouble and a massive migraine. Never in my life have I ever had to communicate this much for a phone plan, nor have I ever had to pay so much for two phone lines that get worse service than a $35 plan. We went in to buy a new phone and discuss the Gateway internet box. The " head of the sales department" found a good phone( no problem with the phone) but when we came to the discussion about the Gateway box he initially told us we would get 300 gigs for $40, then he said he could get it down to $30 a month. We are looking at our bill and see the Gateway box is over $83 a month!! We will attempt to resolve this with the Verizon store in Bend Oregon but we were lied to, don't let them victimize you too!!! Avoid these lying salesman, they will tell you anything you want to hear to make their commission check. You can't do business with liars!! Very unhappy with servi e at this location. We're sold a lemon phone, replaced it with another phone that lasted 1 month. Then got the third phone and was charged $35.00 by sales clerk to hook up the replacement phone. I have never been charged for basic customer service by Verizon before - is this new? I have been a customer with Verizon for 20+ years and pay over $300.00 per month for service. Not to mention nee phones every fewyeats that cost over $1000.00 each. Ben is the best. I'm sure the other sales staff are too but Ben has helped us on our last 5 phones. He's always finding ways to save me money. Wouldnt buy from anyone else. Only downside is that the store's inventory is always lacking, esp on color of phone that we want. Usually don't have what we want so either take the weird color or wait for it to be shipped. Lets fact check: They will tell you it is the best ever (better than I Phone 7 plus I had)..NOT TRUE They will tell you there is 14 day guarrantee policy where you can return it no questions asked TRUE (Only if you ask) There Is No Stocking Fee...FALSE (They neglect to tell you there is a re-stocking fee of $70.00) There is no exchanges..FALSE... (They also neglect to tell you "Free Guarantee Period" which is a comparable phone they will exchange for you for free) Beware, when you do catch them in a lie, they will try to exhange a phone for you that is not comparable to the one you have... I went in the location located on San Jose Blvd. in Jacksonville Florida to transfer 6 phone lines from AT&T to Verizon. My representative promised me and my family all these discounts and credits for transferring the phone line; however, when our new phones came in, we learned our sales rep had lied and most of what we were promised we did not receive. I contacted the Corporate office and was basically told, "sorry, we are not going to do anything." This company is run like a shady use car lot, I would stay away! He just sat there looking at me like I was just another inconvenience in his work day. He didn't do a damn thing. He just sat there like a jerk. His only words were, "oh well". I have been with Verizon since 1999 and always thought highly of them, but I guess that doesn't mean anything. I am just another fucking number. I would stay away from this store. This was by far the worst experience imaginable. I went in to swap my iPhone for an upgrade, the guy that was supposed to "help" me walked away from me as I was explaining to him what I was there for. He then comes back to ask again what I needed. As I was explaining that I was there to pick up a phone he goes into the back, comes out with the phone and sits down at the desk without saying anything to me. He said that there will be an "activation charge" I said that everything should have been paid for and I only wanted to purchase a case and a screen protector aside from the already taken care of trade-in. He said "Oh well I'm not gonna watch a customer set up their phone in front of me. That's a waste of my time." I said that I could take care of it myself and he replied, "well I'm here to work and me watching you set up your phone isn't me working bro." Total invasion of privacy and no I don't need your help "bro". He then hands me an iPhone 15 to leave the store with along with my other purchased items and said "You're good to go." I was under the impression that everything was paid for and good to go. BUT THE PHONE WASNT PAID FOR. So, he almost gave a customer a free iPhone 15. He should for sure be fired for that. Luckily after I realized I didn't have a shipping label for my previous phone, I returned to the store and had to speak with customer service for an hour and a half to fix their mess. Went in July to do a phone trade-in to get 800$ off the iPhone 13. I was helped by Kendall and he told me it would take a few billing cycles for the discount to go through. Finally by the end of October I was still getting billed way more than the discount said, so I went back in to the store to see what was going on. Apparently Kendall never had me sign an e-document, and I was no longer eligible for the discount. The best they could do was 400$ off my phone for the billing cycle. If I knew that I wasn't getting the 800$ off, I wouldn't have upgraded my phone, and I now have a much higher phone bill than what I was expecting. The representative helped my mom with the process, which isn't an easy feat as she is not tech savvy whatsoever. I approached this dealer to get a new battery for my smart phone. The sales rep told me batteries cannot be replaced in modern phones, my Pixel XL among them. So I left, having read to the contrary in the Wall Street Journal. Subsequently, Batteries Plus replaced the battery for $70 and my phone now processes faster and holds its charge longer. They had the battery in stock and it took about 90 minutes. Call first for an appointment. As the WSJ pointed out, a lot of people spend $800 or more when they'd be just as happy with a new battery. read more
