Okay, I'm going to do it, I'm going to give them 5 starts. One of the few...... My shout out is to Colton. Unbeknownst to him, his assistance with all of these phones was HUGE. Super professional and incredibly helpful through the whole process. It's a process, a system. But, if you work the system, it works!! You park, get in line, get on the list, told when you are going to get help and help comes!! I got a new phone for myself with Colton's help, then a few weeks later, got phones for my daughter and father and again, with Colton's help. I was easy for me, my daughter's situation was moderate, my dad was complicated. Colton didn't skip a beat and we have three new phones in our home and three happy customers. If you are up to it and are willing to work the system, their system does work. If you are impatient and crabby, I get it, but it's going to take a lot longer to resolve. So, my advice, be patient, realize that we are all in this together, that the staff is just doing their job and doing it to best of their ability with the resources available. read more

I went in to buy an upgraded Apple Watch. I initially tried to do so online, but after seeing the options, decided I needed to se them in person first. The Verizon website said they were in stock in the store. The guy who helped me did t know much about watches. He told me I could get it cheaper at Best Buy or Costco (except I knew more than he did, those cheaper options did not come with cellular service). Once I finally convinced him to sell me a watch, when me ordered it (none were in stock), he didn't provide me the options. Find out he ordered a S/M watch bad size when I needed a M/L. Also didn't ask which band option I wanted. Basically, the employees are zero help. It was completely ineffective to shop this store. read more

We went in the store to add something to our plan. We put our name in and were told the wait would be about 45 minutes, go run some errands and we'll text you when it's time. We did that, received a text, went back and the manager told us they already took the next person and we would have to wait for the 8 people ahead of us. Or we could come back 4 hours later or make an appointment. We wasted two hours of our day waiting around for this. This manager needs to up his customer service skills and learn how to better treat customers! Perhaps it's this store's policy? It's not ok to waste people's time Verizon! read more

I had an appointment today at the Bend OR Northside location, but they refused to help me because I am not the primary Admininistrator on our family account. Even though I had my cell and my pass code with me, and I'm the one who pays the Verizon bill, They would not help. They also refused to speak with the primary account holder when I tried to call them and hand the phone to the Verizon Agent. That was the most frustrating part. It was ridiculous. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. All I wanted to do was ask if my cell service plan will work on my trip to Europe next week. I ended up having to leave. They would not answer any questions about the Verizon service I pay for, or the Gallaxy I bought from them. On top of all that, there was only 1 black cell phone case left, and it was on display, and they would not sell me the display case because of their "Policy". Time to switch carriers! read more

I went in to the store with a less than enthusiastic attitude but much to my surprise I was greeted at the front door and helped immediately. I went in to straighten out our business account and although it did take a bit of time I am pleased to say that all my issues were handled and I walked out with a cheaper plan with more benefits. It's not often you can say that. Jeremy was my specialist and fixed everything for me and answered all my questions. I was truly losing faith in Verizon because their phone support leaves a lot to be desired but if you have an issue that you can't resolve by phone take the time to go in to the store and let them help you. read more

Unfortunately, after 10 years, the last one has been a nightmare. Speeds seem to be slowing. So I switched carriers. When I switched just my phones back, they added all 5 tablets back to the account as well when I have service with another for them. They can screw up but they aren't allowed to fix their mistakes at the store. Now on hold for over an hour with a number they gave me so I can fix THEIR mistake for them. Came in today and there was a long line. I am trying to return a brand new phone that they sent to me in error and to pay a bill that somehow is not tied to my account so I am unable to pay online??? They keep putting me in the back of the queue of people, I'm guessing because I am not purchasing a phone. Once I was helped they told me 1) phone can't be returned because it isn't associated w a phone # 2) phone to be returned for upgrade credit is also a problem because it is not associated with the phone they told me to keep, rather it (in their system) is associated with phone that they sent me in error Bottom line... big mess caused by horrible Verizon customer service. Terrible terrible terrible experience. We visited the store 1 day before thanksgiving to get my husband's number onto a new account. They processed it (or said they did). We are now a week later and the sim card does not work yet--even though my husband repeatedly visited the store to try to get this fixed. After being on the phone with customer service for over an hour and visiting the store 2 more times, it is still Not yet done due to an issue. Secondly, when we visited the store yet again and the greeter (named Hannah) at the front was anything but helpful. When I asked to speak to a manager she said "But I can't leave the front of the store". Lady--your job is to assist customers. Hire folks who offer good customer service and use their brains. I'm so disappointed in Verizon and their lack of customer service abilities to solve issues that are not even the customers fault. I was waiting in a bundle deal that was botched from the beginning when ordering devices from Verizon online. I had to go to the Verizon store on 3rd St in Bend to pick up one of my devices and it all went downhill the rest of the way from there. As of today, I still have not even received the second device I ordered after7 months of waiting! That's how long I've been fighting Verizon to correct their errors! I ended up having to go to the corporate store on Hwy 97 who did absolutely nothing to help. What a fiasco! I ended up losing $900 to them in a phone that was never even used! That doesn't count the probably 6 hours in the stores and the 8 hours on the phone with them trying to get their error that they would not recognize corrected. I'm switching to T-mobile because, guess what... their 5G coverage way out preforms the coverage of Verizon! Take it from me, don't waste your time and lose your money to a company that will not uphold their customer service promises and bundle deals and who can't even offer the same cellular coverage area as the other provider! read more

I went into Verizon Wirless on South 3rd Street, Bend, Oregon to upgrade from a flip phone to an iPhone. That was all I needed and wanted - Paid cash for the phone and all the accessories, not requesting anything with regard to service upgrade or phone "protection" . After paying just a few dollars less than $600 in cash and upon downloading the Verizon app and reviewing my account/billing, I immediately saw that my next bill would be $132.50 ($72.50 more than my regular monthly billing) and all following monthly bills were to be approximately $85, $25 more than they had been). I then found that they were charging me $17/mo. for "Mobile Protect" and another $20/mo. for the "New Verizon Plan Small", neither of which I had requested nor been even told about. The sales person I dealt with had said only that my monthly billing would not change. NOT a good experience and VERY POOR customer service!!! I was also told that I had been charged $100 extra for the phone because I paid cash rather than financing the cost of the phone - "because people sometimes then go to another cellular provider after phone purchases", which I had NOT even considered - until NOW! So, check your account billing as soon as any changes are made with this company! read more

The two stars are for friendly employees. While smiles are nice, it's a shame that they use it as a trick to get you into expensive plans you don't need. While I love the idea of throttling my wife's internet usage, I think a family plan is better used for teenagers or non-adults using a phone line. You could be asking for a glass of water and they will try to upgrade you to a water plan with small monthly payments. Friendly, but only to sell you more things you don't need. Oh, and did I mention the wait times? I recommend shaving before you visit, because you may just have a beard by the end of it all. read more

Went it with a simple question, wanting to sign up for Early Edge, which I was told by a retailer two days before that I was eligible for. The associate that I asked to help me seemed as though she had no idea what she was doing. She looked in the system and said that I wasn't eligible. She didn't seem like she was willing to ask any of her fellow associates, either. Her only suggestion was to call *611 to talk to a customer service representative... because apparently they can offer you more customer service than the actual store can... Interesting... Called customer service and found out that the retailer was correct and that there was a note in my account that confirmed my eligibility. Really, the details don't matter. It just surprised me that the retailer and *611 had more information than the actual store. My suggestion is to go see the Verizon retail folks on 3rd instead of visiting this store on Hwy 97. They're a million times more helpful and will do what they can for you then and there instead of referring you OUT of the store to someone over the phone. read more

My elderly mother went in with her phone because the speaker was muffled and she couldn't hear it ring (hell, I could barely hear it). The so called MANAGER went right to work trying to sell her a new phone! When she said she couldn't afford it, he told her to use some canned air into the holes of the speaker. My mom pays extra for insurance on her phone and there's no reason why they couldn't work on fixing it or giving her a replacement at no cost. Then when I try to call down to this store to ask what she needs to do to get help.... I can't get through to a live person at all. Their phones are completely automated and I couldn't get a live person without a pin #. Ridiculous!! This is the worst customer service I have ever witnessed. read more

Worst customer service! Back in Dec 2019 we switched over from ATT after being with them for 15 years. Huge mistake. We were promised 5 gift cards of $200 a piece from Visa for switching lines. AND we bought 4 new phones for $1000 a piece. We've been into the store 3 times to talk with managers about this and STILL no gift cards and our bill is $200+ more per month than ATT. read more

They will also help you choose the most economical option - not like some other places that just want to sell you the most expensive thing. If zero stars was an option, that's what I would give the Verizon on N. Hwy 97 in Bend, Oregon. We had one phone that needed looked at because it was no longer getting service and another one that needed a screen protector replaced. Hannah had poor customer service and communication skills. She had attitude when I inquired why the SIM card would just randomly stop working. If she was unsure she could have said that or asked someone else. The screen protector that needed replaced on the other device was one they installed. It bubbled when they first installed it and I called and they said bring it back when I have time - no mention of a time frame. Hannah informed us with her attitude in tow that if it was over 30 days I would have to send it in to the vendor or I could buy a new one. I ask to speak to the manager which was Daniel. He reiterated what Hannah said. Why would I purchase another one for them to install after they initially created the problem the first time? They also said that the customer service does not make their store policy. Instead of just replacing the screen cover for good customer service, they opted not to. If you're looking for subpar customer service and employees with an attitude, I highly suggest visiting this store. read more

They will pass you off to tech support and leave you standing there. When you try to find your rep, they disappear to the back of the store and never come back to wait on you. These guys are fabulous! After spending two days wasting time at the Verizon Authorized Retailer on 3rd St., we decided to stop by here and see if they had what we wanted. Bingo! They had the phones we wanted in-stock and were able to give us a better deal on everything that we wanted. Steve Buck got us all set up and spent a TON of time reviewing our billing and making sure that everything would be just right. As a side note - the Verizon store on 3rd and Reed Market is an authorized retailer. They are NOT a corporate owned store. They are also significantly more expensive than Verizon. They wanted to charge us for SIM cards and other things that Verizon took care of. Beware imitators, I suppose. read more

While there was a wait to meet with an in-store clerk, when I finally did - the experience was worth the wait. Jasmine (unfortunately, I didn't get her last name) was incredibly pleasant to work with. She was knowledgeable, efficient, well versed in Verizon products/services, friendly and willing to go in the stock room and dig deep for random items. Kudos to this young lady! I just left this store after waiting for 25 minutes without being helped or even checked on. I was greeted at the door and checked in because there were a few people being helped in front of me. About 15 minutes later two of the sales people were no longer with customers and I was still waiting. I would have thought these people would at least care enough to sell me something! I guess they really aren't very aware, or they just don't care. I waited a little longer before I left mad and annoyed by the crappy service that was being provided by these people. I will try to avoid this store from now on as I just cannot expect that it will be any different in the future. Based on other reviews it sounds like Verizon needs to do a checkup on employee performance. It needs to change. read more

I was so disappointed in the inability of Best Buy to help me with a problem I had with my brand new Samsung Galaxy S8+ that I almost didn't bother to appeal for help at the Verizon store with which I usually do business. I was tired, thirsty, hungry, and sad. But I stopped by, anyway. After the first few minutes working with Ryan, it looked like I was doomed to disappointment. But once the phone stopped working altogether, Ryan said, "I can't let you leave without a working phone. Let me make a call...but you have to promise to do business with this store again." I replied, "I'll make that deal in a heartbeat." A few minutes later, Ryan emerged with a new phone. At first, I couldn't let myself believe Ryan had solved my problem, but then my wife called...and I picked it up on the new phone. That reality-check brought me back to...well, reality. Ryan had actually done it! So, Bravo Zulu, Ryan. You have restored my faith in human managers empowered to solve problems for clients. As Dante notes, the sign above the entrance to hell reads, "Abandon hope all ye who enter here." I felt, last night, as one would if, upon entering perdition, someone took down that sign. My husband and I were going in two get him a new line of service. This was a chore that I didn't feel comfortable in having him do alone as anyone knows going into a cellular place is no fun and it's best to have backup. I planned on just getting him started then heading back to work. I peeped him the way there, advising him this is a lot like buying a car. Long and drawn out but worth it in the end. When we walked through the doors that the employee opened for us we were greeted immediately. The sales associate was very nice as well as super knowledgeable. No pressure just information and helpful information at that. We were opening a business line which is a little more complicated. But she helped us step by step. I ended up getting a line as well because we got a free samsung TV. The ironic part of this story is I called my current mobile provider (Sprint) to cancel and they hung up on me once and couldn't hear me the second call. Glad I'm no longer dealing with that. The customer service was friendly and just plain perfect. They even sent me a text message the next day to see how we were doing with the new service. You will have a great experience in this store just remind yourself its like buying a new car and is all worth it in the end. read more

I went in for them to help troubleshoot since I am not savvy with phones- and figured if anyone could help it would be Verizon. I walked out of there upset after his solution was to call Verizon and let me sit on hold with customer service. I decided to call Apple when I got home and within 2 min the phone turned on.
