Had the best service by Javier Alonzo today at Verizon Baldwin Park store to activate my business phone. I had been trying to activate this phone for months over the phone with customer service unsuccessfully. Kept getting transferred to the wrong dept and wasted about 6 different hours and 3 different people's time. Very inefficient. I finally called the Baldwin Park store and got Javier. He patiently listened to my problem and complaints, understood the issue, looked up some info for me and confirmed that he would be able to help me activate the business phone if I went in person. I went to the store right away. Luckily no wait at the time. Javier assisted me right away and successfully activated the business phone in 15 min when I've been struggling with this for almost 3 months!! Javier was professional, knowledgeable, detail-oriented , and took care of the activation swiftly and accurately with low stress. I confirmed the activation by placing a call successfully. Javier was a total lifesaver today cuz I was dreading having to waste another hour or two waiting on the phone for customer service. I can now finally give the activated phone to the employee who's been waiting for months for this phone. Thank you Javier!!! He definitely deserves a promotion and a raise! read more

Signed docs in my name to avoid disclosing that I would be charged $70 dollars in activation fees from Verizon for changing my plan. Misquoted my new monthly charges. I was told I would be at $120 a month but am at $140. Meaning I'll pay $240 per year extra! Not a small amount Gave me nothing in writing until my new phone was already setup. Not the best experience. Came in ready to buy products the rep who was assisting me wasn't knowledgeable enough to be in sales. I was ready to upgrade my phone and get a air or pro and additional products. Note for the store manager, as you review monthly, weekly and daily goals and numbers/ service, it's your team who's not knowledgeable and taking the initiative to map out products so customers can finalize on a decision. Service should always be top priority and I didn't not get that experience today unfortunately. More work for me to now go somewhere else and wait to get products that I want. I was buying a sandwich next door, and thought I'd come in to check to see if they have any promotions. After greeting me, The lady working there received a phone call. Instead of helping the person right in front of her, she continued talking on her phone, helping the person on the phone instead of me. No wonder the store is empty, the service is horrible here. I've been with Verizon for over 15 years, and have never been treated like this before. After waiting about 5 minutes for her to talk on the phone about nothing, I walked up. STOP, GO TO WEST COVINA MALL LOCATION!!! Don't come here, this is the worst representation of the Verizon brand, as this is a franchise, and their employees don't care. Upon coming in I had a deadline due for a report on a project, and my phone wouldn't charge, mind you it was down to 15 percent... So I went to this location, as it's by my house; there were four employees sitting at the counter/cashwrap, who didn't acknowledge me until I made the effort, which I found odd, they just stared at me. All I needed was a wireless charger, but I thought to see how they'd react to my situation considering no salutations... Of course, they did the whole warranty run around, and just call customer service line to go from there, sitting and staring at me while I was on hold. Everyone acted like they didn't care when I was concerned, and I voiced my opinion up to threatening to leave Verizon for another service, they were that rude. This location is run by manager, Israel, whom is inept at his job, as reflected by his staff when questioned for assistance for upper management's contact information, as I wanted to make a formal complaint, and everyone claimed they don't have that information, and to just call customer service. The staff here is complacent at best. VERIZON CORPORATE: shut this location down, and/or train this staff, they are tarnishing your brand image with this franchise. Literally the WORST. Whoever put anything more than a 2-stars rating is a big whopping stinking LIAR. This place makes me seriously wonder how these people even have jobs. Why are they even getting paid for this? Verizon, you guys need to do a check up on this location. You're wasting your money on people who disappear on their customers in the middle of helping them to go on a lunch break instead of being helpful. My visit took over 4 hours. OVER. FOUR. HOURS. For something that should've taken 15 minutes. Just to give an example of what a waste this entire operation is. Went in to check on my dad's phone (SIM wasn't reading so phone wasn't working). They said it's probably the phone being busted, upsold me to a new one on their current promo. I was fine with that, but then they wasted my whole day waiting for the new phone to do a system update/file transfer (which took FOREVER because service is basically nonexistent there), even though they said "WeLL, We'Re oN tHe VeRiZoN WiFi aNd OuR cOmPuTeRs ArE wOrKiNg FiNe"--ok, 1. Did you connect the phones to your wifi? I bet not, cuz it was taking an eternity. 2. They could've just told me to do system update and data port at home, cuz clearly it wasn't working at their store. Instead of just lying to me and kept saying "just 30 more minutes". 3. Worst part: I thought they were properly porting my number onto the new phone and my dads number onto my old phone. They didn't. They didn't do anything. What did they do? Open and turn on a "new" phone (and put on the new screen cover crooked). 4. Hours. That's it. Literally. I literally could've done more and better in less than half the time. I don't even know what else to say. If you hate someone, send them here. LATER EDIT: Honestly, I don't even think the phone they brought out to me was new. By the time Christian took my "new" phone out, the box was already opened (not in front of my eyes, but seemingly opened in the back storage area). MOST SUS PART was when I looked at the photo gallery later that evening, it wasn't right. The formatting was reversed with newest pics at the top and old pics at the bottom. I thought that was a weird Apple update, but I was so frustrated with this whole ordeal that just looking at the phone was triggering me. I returned this phone and got the same phone at another Verizon store, saw them open the new box in front of me, got the phone stuff in order, went home, updated and ported everything, checked the photo gallery, and it was the way it should have been (newest pics at the bottom, old pics at the top). I DON'T KNOW WTF THEY TRIED TO SCAM ME WITH, but I am SO glad that stupid phone is not in my life anymore (and they charged me a restocking fee of $50). AND guess how long it took me to return the scam phone, drive elsewhere to get a new phone, get the proper numbers on the proper phones, do a system update and port over all the info from old to new phone: less than 4 hours total. I don't want anything more to do with this store. TL;DR I think they tried to scam me with a refurbished phone and then charged me $50 for taking it back. Lesson: Only go to corporate Verizon stores. Walk in, ask if it's a corporate store, if they say no, ask where's the nearest one, go there instead. Or just call first and confirm before going. Save yourself the misery. (Or send an enemy to this location). read more

The girl that works here has very bad attitude. She was extremely stuck up and talked down on me with her tone of voice. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! My mom when to get a new phone to this authorized Verizon store. He had been going there for years and every thing was good until she came across store manager Jonathan!! Keep in mind she's been a Customer for over 15 years. And in all of these years she had all good thing to say about this specific store. She went in on the weekend of Black Friday to get the iPhone XR. She was going to buy two. She got the phones and Jonathan told her. Hey do you want a free iPad? She said no I already have a one. He keep insisting that it was free she would have to pay a thing to just taking it. After him insisting on the free iPad they said fine only if it's free. He reassured them that it was. Once he gave them the copy oF the completed transaction there was a high remaining balance. He said oh it's for the refinancing of the phones. Don't worry bout it once you get your rebates its the price I told you. They went home and reviewed the bill because it didn't sit right with them why the price was so high. She called customer service and at that moment she realized the "manager JONATAHN" scammed them. He didn't give them the "free" iPad that he promised he instead refinanced the iPad making it seem like they were refinancing the iPhones. She went back to the store to return the unopened iPad. Keep in mind it was the next day. You have at least a 14 return policy on everything. They didn't want to accept the return. They said all iPads were finally sale in fine print. She still has the union Ned Ipad paying for the iPad and paying for monthly services. I don't understand why he would do this to my parents. I drew up with morals and I know right from wrong. I would never trick anyone especially a someone's elderly parents to buy an iPad just to meet sale expectations. Horrible! read more

Please have your employees explain their return policies. Have them print a receipt. From what I was told by the manager they don't represent Verizon, they can make their policies because they are a third party. Apparently, I have 30 days to return my Apple Watch, but because of their private policies tablets and watches are final sale. Be aware of this! They never explained that to me I'm very disappointed at Verizon, my advice to you is; if you would like to buy anything and have them respect you as a costumer and appreciate your loyalty and expect you to go back GO TO A CORPORATE STORE ONLY. read more

The entire staff was very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend this location for all of your Verizon needs. There was no wait time and my transaction was quick and easy. I was so disappointed to hear about my parents experience at this location. They came home so upset. My dad needed his phone fixed and a pair of headphones. He was pressured the entire time by Israel to upgrade his tablet. He ended up being told that only one pair of headphones would work for his phone. He purchased them and when he got home they didn't work on his phone, they had the wrong plug. When my mom tried to return them, they said no because it was an opened box. Well we trusted Israels recommendation and it was his fault they didn't work. Why do we have to take a loss? In the end they only took them back with her upgrading to a more expensive headset. I am disappointed after being a 4 month newly client to Verizon. I came in with my mom on Valentine's Day decided to leave T-Mobile. Julio helped me out he was very nice guy, but the reason for my one star is because when I trade in my black iPhone 8Plus as a down payment to my new line, I thought he would know what he's doing. Randomly yesterday I took a look at my bill statement and it said on my iPhone XS Max that I owe a lot still, even with a deal buy one and get other discounted because I realized where did my $325 down payment go??? I called customer service, and guess what?? It was never credit towards my phone balance at all. I'm an VERY UPSET because this should have been done in the first place and I shouldnt be paying so much on the phone if I used my 8plus as a down payment. Well customer service gentlemen name Jeff did everything he could for me and the fucking best thing he can do is put it to my phone bill cycle, not my phone balance. It's pretty upsetting because as a new customer this shouldn't have happened to me. For all the new incoming clients make sure you keep every statement towards what your getting because you want to make sure everything is going according to how you want it.
