I have been coming to this spa for at least 5 years now. I have tried almost all of their massage therapists (male and female) and while they are all good, my favorite has always been Larry! I just finished getting an hour and a half massage with him and I am a NEW woman. He knows how to target all of your sore spots and find ones you didn't even know you had. They wouldn't let my mom leave out the door for not tipping. Banning someone from coming here for not tipping is truly unprofessional. I gifted my mom a session for her birthday. She walked in by herself but I made sure to call ahead to set her up with an appointment and told Narely the front desk girl that my mom would be coming in. She paid ahead with the money I sent her and after she was done they didn't let her walk out and told her she needed to pay an additional $15-$20 for tip. Mind you, this is not a regulation, rule, or requirement nor are there any signs saying a 15% or more is required for tip. My elderly, Spanish speaking mother didn't know what was going on so she called me so I could translate. The way Narely demanded for my mom to tip rubbed me the wrong way so I told her she wouldn't be tipping and to allow her to leave immediately! She went on saying how my mom doesn't speak English and that a tip is required and if we didn't tip that we could never come here again. I don't understand the need to mention she didn't speak English but what I do see is that she was trying to take advantage of an elderly non-English speaking woman and that's not okay! I told her she can't demand people to give a two digit tip especially if they're not satisfied with the services it's our money and we paid for the service! Prohibiting us from coming here ok fine it's your business but demanding someone to tip when we weren't satisfied with the service and for the way she came about it is not okay! Do not come here. Read the other reviews it's seems like them demanding tip is a frequent problem here!!!! If you want people to tip, don't demand and threat customers from never coming here again and make it a damn rule &make sure to post a sign so your customers know ahead of payment! I've been going to this place for over 10 years. This spa used to be warm, relaxing, and extremely welcoming, with a very fair price. Not only have prices doubled, but the service has gone to complete shit. Our massages felt rushed, lots of abrupt movements, and the exact opposite of relaxing. At the end, after giving a generous 20% tip, they trapped me, pointed at the tip sign and basically didn't let me leave until I left more. Wtf! I am beyond offended by this action and disgusted with their demanding demeanor. After 10+ years, I will never step foot back into this place again. She is the lovely lady at the reception desk, She sends me reminders about my appointments and she always goes above and beyond and always tries to look to get what meets each persons's requests. I really hope the owner reads this. Who you placed in the front desk to handle your customer service reflects a great deal on your business. I have been coming here for nearly a decade and many changes have taken place over those years. the auto expectations of tip from the therapist despite they are good or not is one thing but your treatment of customers who have supported you through the thick and thin of your business is appalling. I called while driving to make an appt and they request all my personal info then a credit card for the hold. I ask her to hold it and when I am not driving I will call back with my cc. I live 1.5 hrs from this place and when I called back after arriving in the area, she tells me she gave my appt away and they are fully booked. She has my phone number, she could have easily call me to say a customer is calling for that slot and what my status was...instead she just gave it away. Her response, "it's our policy". Masseuse: All the great ones have slowly left one by one and there are only a few left I would consider using. Facial therapist: They use to have 2 great ones. Linda and Tracy who are both amazing. Neither one are still there. Instead the person doing the facials now was once the receptionist there for a few years. Turns out to be the same rude person who answers the phone. Facility: Nothing fancy, it's your very basics. They try to stay on top of keeping it clean. They no longer have the large community room which is good and all massages are now in individual rooms. I came in here for a facial massage and like all previous times before being here. I always specifically asked and requested for Donna. I had been to many other places but never could be as great as Donna from this place. She is truly a professional and her styles and methods really outstandingly great!!!!! She also does pimple extraction removal. With all her great skills, she is really good with everything she does that would leave you feeling refresh, rejunvenate, younger and definitely whole lot better than before you come in. You ought to try the facial massage from her. Whenever you pay for any services, you always wanted the best. Well, she is definitely the best. Great vibe, attitude, caring, great quality from her. This place has rude customer service I was a regular customer for years and one lady ruined it for me and all the people I referred to go here. Don't waste your time. They don't even clean the massage beds after a massage I took a picture and it was so dusty and dirty between the edges of the chair. I'm pretty sure they do not even clean the part where your face sits after another customer has used it. And the bathroom is disgusting. We each had a private room and i had a massage with a man named Li. The massage was very inappropriate and sexual, the language barrier did not prepare me at all. Thank god i did speak up for my something before things got REPORTLY inappropriate (ie sexual assault).... i honestly hear of stories like this and didnt think these places existed.... he felt me up multiple times that i would not consider a massage.... ibe had many many massages in my life and nothing like this... My bf made us reservations here for a private massage room for the 2 of us. Upon arrival check-in was quick and they asked if we preferred male or female. We had no preference and were set up with 2 female masseuses in our private room. The room was clean and there was low relaxing music playing. They started promptly and worked hard for the full hour. We didn't specify any preferences and they were really rough, but I didn't say anything because I figured I needed to get some knots out. This considered, it definitely was not a relaxing massage but it was probably good for my body. The cost for the 2 of us for the private room was $40 each, and they have a sign out front stating that the standard tip is $10. We had a 90 minute massage and paid before we have started. After our "just ok" massage, we gave $15 tip to split into two (as we were not so contented with the quality of the massage given. To our surprise, the Chinese masseuse was so furious because he is insisting that we need to pay $20 tip for each of them. We felt harassed by the way he talked to us so we just gave him what he is asking for. For us, a tip is supposed to be given freely if you are happy with the service. We always give good tip if we are happy. A tip should be a prerogative, not insisted. If you are looking for a good place, good massage and a courteous service-- there are a lot more options than going to this place where you will end up paying almost the same as the other massage center. read more

Updated Review for January 5, 2019. I called the receptionist Rosa and reserved my appointment today at 1:30 pm for a 90 minute massage in the VIP private room $60 dollars. The staff and management here are very professional and I was served in a timely manner with exceptional massage and treatment. Thank you to my Favorite masseuse for grinding away all the big knots in my traps and neck and back today. I call him Mr Beijing with hands of steel to pound away all that muscle and hard fatty adipose tissue not an easy task. All staff very well trained and friendly with good communication skills and the boss was there today if anything needed to be fixed as his English is perfect. Book your next appointment on the weekend and get acquainted with your new massage therapist and speak with the owner in English before your treatment with all your concerns and recommendations here. Came here with my 7 month pregnant sister-in-law for a private room massage. We made the appointment around noon for a 2pm appointment and requested for two female masseuses. We finished lunch early and pushed up our appointment. We asked for 1:30 but it turns out that their time increment is by 15 minutes because our original time would have been 2:15 and the new time is now 1:45. We parked in the lot next door and walked over. The spa is located upstairs. We arrived early at 1:30 and I expected to be in the waiting room but the girls at the counter collected payment upon entry. NOTE: Paying in cash is cheaper by a dollar. Then we were shown to our room. After using the restroom and undressing, it was now 1:35. So far the experience was quick, the girls at the front counter spoke fluent English. They didn't try to upsell and only stuck with our appointment request which was full body private room. I wished they did upsell because I didn't see the full price poster until we left and we would have upgraded our package. Anyways, the massage experience was different than I've ever had. Just to be clear, they don't specialize in maternity massages or have special maternity tables/chairs. As long as you can lay on your side then you can enjoy a massage that way. It seems like my sister-in-law got the more experienced masseuse and I got the newbie. I lay face down on the table and she pulls the sheet up to my neck, place a towel over the back of my head on my hair and a pillow under my legs. She began to massage my back through the sheets. Aside from having a heavy right thumb and using her forearm like a human foam roller, here are some uncanny moments that I never experienced before: -A pillow is placed under my head. I'm used to lying flat with my head over the hole. Having a pillow was comfortable but I couldn't relax when she tried to support my head while massaging my neck. I felt like I had to hold up my own head weight because the pillow was in the way. -She positioned my arms to dangle both side of the table instead of having it relaxed by my side. -She sits in front of me and position my arms in front of me like I'm swimming to massage my arms. I'm used to having my arms by my side. -Usually the sheets are neatly tucked and only areas that are being worked on, are exposed. Well, she wasn't great at this and the other lady said something I don't understand but I think she was training her on how to tuck because she came over and tucked me. - When I flipped around, I usually close my eyes but she placed the towel over my eyes to block all vision. -While on my tummy, she climbed on the table to straddle my leg to apply pressure to my back. She inserted her knee between my legs which caused a bit of a skin pitch because my legs were not widely spread. -I appreciate that she avoided my face and just massaged the tip of the hairline. Most places massage your face leaving that oily residue and make up smear. -When it was time to wipe off the lotion, a hot rag was placed on my body and I received a wipe down. You can tell she was an amateur because I was freezing with goose bumps since she didn't tuck the area and moved onto the next leaving me all exposed. Despite all the differences compared to other places, I'm willing to come back because this place was clean and you can't beat the price (compared to San Diego). I wish I had came to Yelp to read the reviews carefully before booking. I'm new to the area and first time trying this place for a $60 body massage. It was the worst I've had. At the end I still tipped the guy $10 which was for the effort (that's 16.66%). He looked at the bill and demanded that I must tip him $15-20. I was a bit shocked. It was late in the day / towards closing time. No one else was in the office. I actually felt threatened and decided to give him $10. Next time I called and talked to the front desk about my experience. I felt that it would have been fine if they told me explicitly that they are expecting a certain amount of tip, at the time of booking or before the session started so it would've been up to me to agree to the tip amount and move forward. The front desk is very rude and became very defensive. I would not recommend any of my family / friends get any services here. read more

This place has been my go to spot for a quick and quality massage for over 6 years. It is good but due to COVID, there are no more communal rooms for a cheap price. Everything is done in private rooms which isn't bad and more hygienic that way. I'm just not used to this new experience, and you have to wear a mask the whole time which gets difficult to breathe when they put a towel over your head towards the end of the session. Also it got more expensive and not the best bang for your buck anymore. I would carry cash here to tip them well too. read more
