I got an amazing massage and facial for my first visit I wasn't disappointed. I felt taken care of and it was extremely clean and everyone is so friendly. I came back a week later for another amazing session for a massage. I've had both a male and female therapist and both were absolutely a 10! Front desk is always helpful and able to accommodate me ! I'll be a Regular don't forgot to bring cash to tip like I always do ! They work hard and have earned my business and helped me feel so amazing ! Thank you Venus Spa! read more

The ruddiest people I have ever came across! I was very disappointed with my experience. While the massage itself was acceptable, the customer service completely ruined the visit. After my appointment, the staff complained about the tip I left and made me feel uncomfortable and embarrassed. A tip is meant to be a voluntary gesture of appreciation, and it's inappropriate to pressure or criticize customers over the amount they choose to leave. For a $50 dollar massage a $10 dollar tip is fair and it's (20%) read more

Leaving this review for my girlfriend. Do not buy gift certificates here! My girlfriend tried to use their gift certificates for a massage and they would only give her partial credit for the massage. They said the price had gone up. This is not what the gift certificate says. No disclaimer, no time limit. So beware of buying any gift certificates here and expecting to get full credit. This is a scam. Being reported to BBB and State of California Consumer Protection. If you've been scammed like this before, please post. read more

ok, I have to write this for the owner of the spa to know. I called you 2 times . to make sure my friends , son , and daughter- in - law got good service. I requested Larry and Lily ( I got) but my son got a sucky masseuse. My DIL got a decent one , but 1/2 way through you guy change the good masseuse on her to a person who did a sucky job. I read the precious reviews. I saw some with 1 or 2 star star rating, but I still decided to give your place a try any way ( I don't mind about the price and the TIPS issue) But I just want to find a clean place and some masseuses who know what they are doing . your place really disappointed me. out of 4 people , I the only satisfied with Larry service. My friend said she did not like Lily massage , because she got better masseuse at other place. so we won't returned . read more

My massage was horrible! The lady that gave me my massage came in late, massaged me for like 5 mins and then took off somewhere, she came back shortly after but still my massage was interrupted. I told her on multiple occasions to go softer and she would for like 5 mins then rough again. She pressed on my neck so hard that I was pain free when I came in and now I left with neck pain. I came in for a relaxing massage with my girlfriends and instead we were roughed up. None of us enjoy our massages. To make matters worse, I tipped her 20% and she got the audacity to complain and told me it's not enough after giving me the crappiest massage experience. This was my first time here and needless to say it's also my last. The only reason I tried this place in the first place was they have openings to accommodate our group on short notice. They can see now why they have plenty of openings. read more

My second time here for facial, they put the mask in my nostrils I could hardly breathe , she barely understood me when I told her, then she was massaging my face pressing my nose down so I had to keep my mouth slightly open to breathe, then she got something in my eyes I rinsed under water for a minute as soon as I got home and used half a bottle of eyedrop to rinse. Never going back. read more

OK, I'm not gonna lie. I honestly think I just had the best massage of my life. I had 90 minute deep tissue massage with a girl named summer. She really got into all of my knots. I didn't even realize how much stress I was carrying in my body, I'm a bodybuilder and also working as an engineer so it's so important to give yourself the self-care. I'm not even sure what oil they used but the lotion smelled great. I will definitely be coming back this is probably like my third or fourth time coming thank you again summer you are so good! I felt muscles. I didn't even know I had. read more

I've never been to this place before and wanted to try it out, and while my mother and I were told by the front desk lady, wearing glasses, that we would be able to do 3pm (we came in at 2:30pm), we decided to wait out the 30 minutes for our massage. I was highly disappointed when I returned to be told by the same person that they moved a few appointments around in replacement of our original booking of 3pm, meaning that our appointment was cast aside entirely. Not the best impression, and I certainly will not return. read more

I attended another one hour massage and Christine was my massage therapist. She was very good! I look forward to seeing her again next week the office and the rooms are very tidy and serene. I love coming here. read more

We were pressured to tip after we had an okay massage and our masseuses swapped people between the session. After we left our room one of masseuse kept asking us for tips and we didn't know how to respond as she followed us out to the lobby. The front desk even chimed in saying we needed to tip more (over 20%). Very disappointed and hope no one else has a similar experience. read more

I always bought gift cards here for my family members to get their massages and they always loved it but I have never been until now! We got the couples massage in a private room for $100! They charge a few more dollars if you use you card. We called ahead and made a reservation for our couples massage. When we entered they just showed us a room and gave no instructions. Basically when you enter the room, they provide a box for your belongs and you strip down to your underwear and lay face down on the table until your masseuses' arrives. The room was slightly cold so we were able to ask them to turn on the heat. They went ham on my back and shoulder blades. It felt reallly good but man I was sore after my massage. They might look like small ladies but they have strong hands. Overall, the massage was nice and good. I wish they worked more on my front and not focus most their time on my shoulder blades but that's my problem area. It's nice that the front has a chart of how much to tip the masseuses' also. I usually have a hard time seeing what is a good amount (aka $20 at least for their hard work) read more

Tipping amount is a customers choice. Service is sub par, no communication during massage.

Tipping is based on the perceived quality of service... Today's massage was not up to par but I know the job of a masseuse is tiring so even though it was not up to standards and I had to ask her multiple times during my massage to give more pressure, I still tipped 25% which is higher then the recommended tip that was written in the front. My masseuse threw a hissy fit and complained and said she wanted more! Well if you wanted more which I'm more then happy to give if your work warranted more! But obviously if I had to ask you during the massage for more pressure and you didn't meet standards then you will receive what you have earned. Before leaving, I asked the front desk if the amount I left for the masseuse is good and front desk said it was and I quote "GREAT!" I've been coming here for years and am seeing a definite decline in services and quality while an increase in attitude and demand from staff! What should have been a relaxing experience has turned into a shake down that's left me not ever wanting to come back. read more

"This was my first massage in over 2 1/2 years, and as a new mom with no support, it was my only chance to do something for myself. The massage itself was excellent, but after tipping $10 -- the most I could afford -- I was confronted about not tipping enough and pressured to give more. You never ever know what someone is truly going through in life -- you just never know. Instead of leaving relaxed, I left feeling guilty and upset. A massage should leave someone feeling cared for and renewed, not judged or shamed. I hope management addresses this so all guests can feel safe and respected." I've been coming here since 2010 and I would come two or three times a month because I had a job that was hard on my body and once a month I would bring a group of girls from my job about 5 to 10 girls and we would make it a girls day thing when you had the open room ,I loved it. I had the best experience every time I came sometimes we're better than others , but I loved it so I've been coming for years. Sadly this possibly could be the last time I come. read more

The facility looked nice from the waiting area versus the actual building itself on the outside. I called probably 2 hours ahead of time when they opened and I was able to make a same day couples massage appointment for 90 minutes. When you enter, it's upfront payment. If it's done in cash, the 90 min massage is $75/person. If you're doing with card, they charge you an additional $3 per person which is $78/person. They were quick to guide us to our rooms after we used the restrooms. They had a nice little cubby to place all your personal belongings so it's not out in the open. It was nice and dim inside with music playing overhead to set the calming serene mood. The pressure applied was very hard so if you're not used to almost like a deep tissue type of feel, I suggest you go elsewhere or tell them to apply lighter pressure. Occasionally, there would be other customers on the other side of the door walking through the walkway and you can hear the workers guiding them but it was mostly muffled out by the music playing overhead. So the walls weren't thin where you can easily hear what's going on outside. Majority of the focus was on the upper back but there was decent amount of focus on the rest of the body which was nice. Once done, they leave so you can get dressed. Then the masseuse kind of wait right outside the door for you which was kind of weird in my personal opinion since other places I've gone to they wait at the counter and offer water. So I had to awkwardly take the tip out then and there. One other thing I would like to mention was that I wasn't a fan of the massage lotion they used. It just didn't provide as smooth of a coverage as I would like. And the fact that hot stone is an additional $10 and not automatically included was a bummer as well. Would definitely come back again another time. read more

I used to go here a lot to get the combo of massage and facial but they keep raising the price which isn't reasonable because 1: the massage is routinely and they only do tapping like i tell them to add more pressure or show them how i want them to massage me and they get mad because i dont like how they're massaging me by just doing the minimum. As for the facials i like the extractions and i tipped them 25% but they came after me like is that it? Like yes i tipped to what was reasonable but they expected more. That's why i stopped coming here. Their attitude towards tipping and the minimal massages doesn't deserve good ratings. The prices isn't worth coming here read more

I've been coming here for 10+ years. I can't gatekeep him but the best massage therapist here is Larry, hands down! No knot is too knotty for him. He's always on time, very professional and does great work on my shoulders and back. I can't quit this place even if it's not the closest spa to me. I'd be Quasimodo, the hunchback of OC, if it weren't for him. Owners have came and went but Larry has been there since the beginning. Front desk staff is not the most efficient or friendly but as long as they have Larry I'll keep coming. read more

It's cheap and clean. BUT, they don't massage quads. Very odd. My friend and I went for a massage (we specifically asked for a women since we are women). The lady failed to massage my quads. She did my hamstrings though. I asked about my quads and she just squeezed them 3x and said she was done. My friend's masseuse did the same to her. WTH? I likely won't return since quads are a big muscle group and they hurt after squatting. Not cool. read more

It was $53/hr per person ($3 pp if paying with card) for deep tissue I believe. The lady that did my massage has arms of steel because I felt like my entire musculoskeletal system was being rearranged for an hour straight. I should have spoken up and asked for her to be more gentle but sheeeeesh, I did not expect that at all. Was sore the day after as expected but man these people here have arms of steel. read more

We went in for a massage and a body scrub after reading on their website that tipping is not mandatory but recommended. That's a bunch of bull crap. My mom has gotten plenty of massages at this location that she was satisfied with, but she and her friend got a massage almost 3 weeks ago on January 26th, and she has been experiencing a sharp pain from her ribs to her back ever since then. The guy who worked on her seemed young and new to the job and used his elbow and his entire weight on her a lot of the time. He focused on her right side where he claimed had a bump that he was working on, so she endured the pain for a while but at one point, the pressure was too much for her. She now had to seek medical attention since the pain has persisted for so long and ended up with bruised ribs. She understands that he may have been new to the job, but the staff should be mindful of how much force they're using and adjust accordingly to their client by communicating with them to ensure their comfortability. She will not be returning. read more

I was recommended to this place by a coworker and family member. This place is great, I asked for a strong, 1 hour massage. It was a gentleman, boy was it worth it. He got the knots in my neck and shoulder blades out. He massaged me from head to toes. The back of calves too, the massage on my temples and back of my neck amazing. It's definitely worth the $50 I will definitely be back read more

My family and friends have been going here for years. They no longer do the big open rooms. All are private or for couples. Many of the same staff are there but many have left as well. Prices are higher now, as is everything in the last few years. Massage are good and sometimes a little too deep but I think they understand enough English to adjust. I have a favorite person and know what to expect but when it's not Wei than I have to communicate as best I can what I'm looking for. My husband has someone he likes too so upon occasion we crawl out of there and go to dinner. read more

I've been coming here for over 5 years. I have always had a pleasant experience. However today was not a pleasant experience. I usually tip cash, today the receptionist asked to add the tip so whatever I agreed. She then said they recommended 15% and although I have no problem tipping, I prefer to tip after the service. The person massaging me today was extremely rough. I had to tell her 3 different times to please lessen the pressure. The 4th time I told her she was hurting me. I should not have to tell her that many times and it truly infuriated me. She did not massage my quads at all. The massage felt half assed. I was unable to relax the whole time and at some point I contemplated leaving mid service. The fact that she continued to ignore my requests is truly unprofessional. After the massage, the massage therapist waited outside. I told her thank you and proceeded to leave. They stopped me and pointed at the sign that said they recommended 15% tip and I was definitely not about to pay her more than what I had already tipped after she kept being rough and I did not enjoy my massage. I explained my reasoning and she walked away from me while I was talking. Truly, this was very embarrassing for me and so unprofessional. The girl at the front desk even kept emphasizing the whole recommending of a higher tip even after I just said I was not happy with how much pressure she kept applying even after I kept asking and it seriously pissed me off that they have no regard for the actual satisfaction of their clients. It makes me sad because I really like going here but over the years the quality in service has changed. read more
