My massage was horrible! The lady that gave me my massage came in late, massaged me for like 5 mins and then took off somewhere, she came back shortly after but still my massage was interrupted. I told her on multiple occasions to go softer and she would for like 5 mins then rough again. She pressed on my neck so hard that I was pain free when I came in and now I left with neck pain. Today's massage was not up to par but I know the job of a masseuse is tiring so even though it was not up to standards and I had to ask her multiple times during my massage to give more pressure, I still tipped 25% which is higher then the recommended tip that was written in the front. My masseuse threw a hissy fit and complained and said she wanted more! Well if you wanted more which I'm more then happy to give if your work warranted more! But obviously if I had to ask you during the massage for more pressure and you didn't meet standards then you will receive what you have earned. They charge a few more dollars if you use you card. We called ahead and made a reservation for our couples massage. When we entered they just showed us a room and gave no instructions. The facility looked nice from the waiting area versus the actual building itself on the outside. I called probably 2 hours ahead of time when they opened and I was able to make a same day couples massage appointment for 90 minutes. When you enter, it's upfront payment. If it's done in cash, the 90 min massage is $75/person. If you're doing with card, they charge you an additional $3 per person which is $78/person. They were quick to guide us to our rooms after we used the restrooms. They had a nice little cubby to place all your personal belongings so it's not out in the open. It was nice and dim inside with music playing overhead to set the calming serene mood. The pressure applied was very hard so if you're not used to almost like a deep tissue type of feel, I suggest you go elsewhere or tell them to apply lighter pressure. Occasionally, there would be other customers on the other side of the door walking through the walkway and you can hear the workers guiding them but it was mostly muffled out by the music playing overhead. So the walls weren't thin where you can easily hear what's going on outside. Majority of the focus was on the upper back but there was decent amount of focus on the rest of the body which was nice. Once done, they leave so you can get dressed. Then the masseuse kind of wait right outside the door for you which was kind of weird in my personal opinion since other places I've gone to they wait at the counter and offer water. So I had to awkwardly take the tip out then and there. One other thing I would like to mention was that I wasn't a fan of the massage lotion they used. It just didn't provide as smooth of a coverage as I would like. And the fact that hot stone is an additional $10 and not automatically included was a bummer as well. My mom has gotten plenty of massages at this location that she was satisfied with, but she and her friend got a massage almost 3 weeks ago on January 26th, and she has been experiencing a sharp pain from her ribs to her back ever since then. The guy who worked on her seemed young and new to the job and used his elbow and his entire weight on her a lot of the time. He focused on her right side where he claimed had a bump that he was working on, so she endured the pain for a while but at one point, the pressure was too much for her. She now had to seek medical attention since the pain has persisted for so long and ended up with bruised ribs. She understands that he may have been new to the job, but the staff should be mindful of how much force they're using and adjust accordingly to their client by communicating with them to ensure their comfortability. I usually tip cash, today the receptionist asked to add the tip so whatever I agreed. She then said they recommended 15% and although I have no problem tipping, I prefer to tip after the service.
