Ghetto. Drove up to pharmacy drive thru and theres a sign saying it doesn't work and to come inside store. I went inside and there is a pharmacy tech helping someone at the drive up window! Female pharmacy tech looks me up and down and walks away. Several people behind the glass and no one seems to care I'm waiting with others in line. When I give info the tech tells me its not ready & there will be a text sent when they're available & just walks away as im asking for an approximate amount of time. The store is clean and the staff are very nice. They always welcome all the guests walking in. The store has a good selection of everything. The prices are reasonable as well. We always stop by to check on their sales after holidays. The Easter candies and baskets are very good prices. Remember to check out the toy sections. They have cheaper seasonal toys than other stores. read more

Says it's open 24 hours but yet randomly closed from who knows how long until 2 am? I get off work pretty late and got to this Walgreens around 1ish and there was a sign on the door that said it's closed until 2 am and when I looked inside all you see is two workers just sitting down not doing anything. Waited more than 1h in the drive through because the pharmacist had an emergency and decided to leave the store. Now let me get to the worst part, after the long wait, I come home to seeing that I received the antibiotics for my 4 year old but no damn syringes were provided!! I called back to speak to them and the pharmacist says "oh I'm sorry, it's the other girl's fault. The one by the window, she is new". HORRIBLE PLACE. Excuses left and right. Not only was there a line after dinner time but i start hearing yelling coming from the pharmacy counter and i notice a name tag Eric. I will never forget the harassment and mistreatment I endured at this Walgreens. After being loyal customers (my boyfriend for over 10 years and myself for nearly 3 years), we were wrongfully accused of stealing, had the police called on us, and then were banned from the store for life -- even though it was proven we had not stolen anything. On the morning of this incident, my boyfriend, a friend, and I went in around 5:45 AM. After realizing we couldn't load money to Cash App until 6 AM, we briefly browsed and then waited in line to check out. Our friend bought a snack and completed his purchase with receipt in hand. Suddenly, police officers entered, grabbed him aggressively, and accused him of theft. He was searched on the spot and nothing was found. When I tried to record what was happening, I was tackled and handcuffed despite standing 10 feet away. My boyfriend was then also detained and handcuffed before he could even purchase the items in his hands. None of us had stolen anything. We were treated like criminals, physically assaulted, and banned from the store instead of receiving an apology.The Garden Grove Police Department ended up apologizing for it all and admitted that the situation got out of handed and wanted to make sure we were okay afterwards. This was traumatizing and unacceptable. Regular customers can walk in one day and be treated like this for no reason. Walgreens should be held accountable for how their employees handle situations and for how they escalate incidents with no evidence. read more

I love Walgreens as a company but unless there is no one in line in front of me, it is always a ridiculously long wait for the pharmacy. The reason is that there seems to only ever be one person working at a time, having to manage both in store pickup and the drive thru. The location is 24 hours which is nice, especially since the other location near me is only open the same eight hours that I work, but I wouldn't recommend coming to this location unless you have half an hour to kill. read more

Do not come here unless you have all the time in the world. I booked an appointment for a vaccine, I checked in and waited to be called. The employee took my information and told me to wait in the waiting area. 30mins later, I get called up again and was asked for my insurance. At this time, he tells me they don't take Kaiser. I wish I was told this from the start. I decided since I been waiting, I'll go ahead and pay for it out of pocket, it came out to $127.99. After paying, I expected to be seen soon since I been waiting over 40 mins now. I ended up asking for a refund and leaving. I understand they're busy, but I had an appointment and waited almost an hour. The employees were nice, nothing bad to say about them, but the service is so slow. Very frustrating experience and a waste of time. To administer a vaccine would probably take less than 5 mins, so I don't understand why it wasn't a priority, especially since it is a service that they offer with an appointment system. read more

I needed some medicine desperately after my ER visit. BAO the pharmacist here at Walgreens is i professional and expert on what I needed. The service so amazing. I am very grateful to him. It's hard to find good customer service now at big chain pharmacy with the volume that comes into the store. I travel 5 miles out of my way just to come to this location to get my medicine. The inside of the pharmacy is clean and staff who work here are very nice. Please come by and say hi to BAO and Micheal too. Micheal Ali helped me all through the years a this location. To the rest of the staff and MANAGEMENT PLEASE RECOGNIZE these two nice GENTLEMENmen are the example of the attitude needed to make people feel human and not a number or a financial transaction. I don't like leaving bad reviews, but I have to speak my truth. Honestly, I did not have a problem picking up my prescriptions here in the past, besides the long wait-time which is expected. Although, the wait time can seem outrageous, but I just wait for the text notifying me my prescription is ready and go on the off hours. In the past, I had great service from the staff. They were nice to me on the phone and in person. However, this last experience with them was not too great and I am not planning to go back here anymore. Why? Well, I was picking up my prescription that is given to me through women's reproductive rights and the pharmacist judged me for it. Here is the story: It was Sunday afternoon and I saw my prescription was ready. I went in and was greeted by a male pharmacist, I told him I am here to pick up my medication. When he got my medication from the parcels he showed his co-worker (a female pharmacist) my medication in a gossiping type and she giggled softly to herself. Then he handed me the medication and told me that she (the giggling coworker) will tell me how to use it. Now I have been using the medication and having it shipped to me online, but I was running low and needed sent to a nearby pharmacy. I told him that I already know how to use it. Then he told his coworker and she bursted out laughing. Professional much? I do not think so. This is 2023, and we are in a progressive society. If I could give a negative star I would. Went to Pharmacy to pick up prescription. The lady said it was out of stock. I asked when might it be in stock, she said maybe tomorrow. I asked what time she answered maybe 2pm. I then asked if she could see if the medication was available at another Walgreens, she said she couldn't! So Walgreens doesn't know their own inventory?! She told me I could call other Walgreens. Why would I call?! It's their network, that's not my job. I then asked if there was a generic version and she was like no there is no OTC version. I was like that's not what I asked. Are the people working in the pharmacy even pharmacist?! This Walgreens also has a UPS, but when I tried to drop a package off on a different date, it already was packaged with a label they told me they couldn't send it out because they had too many packages. WORST PHARMACY EXPERIENCE EVER. I'm usually very sympathetic to retail pharmacists as they're just the middleman, but in this case they fully deserved the earful they got from my husband. TLDR; attempted to get our kids vaccinated, had appointments and everything, but ended up leaving without the vaccinations because the pharmacist wanted to "preserve" his vaccines and didn't want to open up a new batch for one of my kids. Told us to "come back tomorrow". You'd think they'd be clamoring for anyone wanting to get vaccinated. We made two appointments for our kids to get them vaccinated on Monday 11/8/2021. Went out of our way and drove up from Irvine because I wanted them to get their vaccines sooner than later, and saw that there were time slots later in the day here for 9 PM, which worked perfectly with our busy schedules. When we arrived, there was already several people waiting/loitering about. We were unsure where to go or what to do - but saw the sign that said "vaccine appointment line" and stood there. This "line" wasn't very well sectioned off or visible by the way. It really is a big mess here. Nobody acknowledged us at all - after 20 minutes of nothing, I went to inquire and finally got some attention. The pharmacy tech gathered our info, asked some questions, and told us to wait by a side window for the vaccine administration. Then the pharmacist on site told us that he only had one available vaccine and could only vaccinate one of our two kids. I asked for clarification. What do you mean you only have one vaccine - what was the point of appointments then? This was the first week of vaccines opening up to kids aged 5-11 after FDA approval - how can you not have vaccines?? He clarified by saying he had more, but he'd have to open a brand new batch and waste 9 doses. He asked us to "do him a favor" and come back tomorrow. Are you freaking kidding me right now?? At this point we had already been waiting around for 40 minutes. We dragged our kids from Irvine to GG during bedtime hours to get them vaccinated, and isn't the whole push to get EVERYONE vaccinated??.... and here you are trying to create barriers to that goal? GTFO of here. If you want patient-centered care - this place is NOT it. Go elsewhere. read more

I went to pick up a prescription they said it wasn't ready come back in an hour. Came back in 2 hours still not ready. Came back next day and still not ready. You use their app to scan prescriptions and I'm told they go through and when I can pick up. I go to pick up and pharmacy tech shows nothing was ordered. WTH?!?! Constant calls at early morning hours. Calls for pills that we don't need refills on One person seems to be working drive thru and front register and filling up prescriptions. One woman talks over the speaker which is really low and outdated and can't hear her and she gets mad when she's talking low and the speaker system is old and all I can hear is traffic. Update: Added another star for the good service. They're able to refund me because I couldn't use their passport photos. Went here for passport photos but were rejected by the passport processing place because Walgreens edited it. They should know better since it's a passport place. Whether it is drive through or counter service you can be guaranteed at least a 20 minute wait irrespective of how many people in line.
