I'm pretty sure she felt embarrassed because surely after she was assisting me and told me how beautiful I looked. Then once I was there to purchase when I needed to because I only had Apple Pay, she said that there was a minimum purchase dollar amount for Apple Pay. So I looked at her and I just walked away. Moving forward any type of cosmetic things that I need. I'm going to a different store. I give zero stars matter of facts witnessing Rodeo Cosmetics's employee pushing a chart away from a legally, blind, elderly that is handicap this is serious she could've hurt the elderly lady badly. There was no remorse or apologetic after this incidence, I have contacted the owner of Rodeo Cosmetics Facebook and phone calls there was no response. Such clear racism, went in here to look with my siblings, we are clearly Mexican, as soon as we walked in both ladies, an older one with a reddish short bob haircut and a younger lady with long black hair came out from behind the counter, did not greet us all and just followed us throughout the store, two Asian ladies walked in, they were greeted and not followed, I was looking at a display lipstick and the older lady was on my back, that's what caused me to leave. As soon as we left both of them went behind the counter. I have never experienced profiling and as a person who works to catching people who steal this was just such an unpleasant experience. I would not recommend this store to anyone who isn't of Asian descent. read more

I went in there to look around and immediately the employees got up and started following me. They didn't introduce themselves or provide any customer service they were just staring at me and my boyfriend. Me and my boyfriend could feel their eyes following us. The products prices were marked up, I don't mind paying those prices but the employees didn't even say anything to us. One of them moved a product aside just to get a better view of my boyfriend who has tattoos. Just left the store we were only browsing with my sister and cousin (we are not Asian btw) and one of the older ladies came around the counter didn't even greet us or anything but kept watching us and tailing us. The second employee stood near us as well. Finally we're looking at samples and she's breathing down our neck not even saying anything just staring and has yet to even introduce herself. Two other girls, Asian, walked in and we felt uncomfortable so we left and when we turned around we saw the two employees return behind the counter as the other two guests browsed without being monitored. Talk about racial profiling and not even trying to hide it. DONT come here, selection is super limited and a shameless cash grab. I shop here once a month. It's my go to cosmetics store for Korean branded lashes. They have a good deal 2 boxes for $7. It's a small one stop shop for your beauty and skin care needs. They carry a huge stock of Shiseido products as well as Guerlain make-up. The ladies here are really nice although they are hard to understand sometimes because they are not fluent in English. I always receive friendly and helpful service. If you like premium make-up and skincare brands then, come check this place out! read more

While I do admit they have a good selection, there's a reason why this shop is empty. I decided to browse around surrounding areas while waiting to be called for Kaju. This place was inside Hmart so I figured, why not? I could use some more makeup and skin care products. First off - the layout's a freaking maze so you have to go around in circles to really browse the selection. I wouldn't have had an issue with this if it wasn't for one of the workers following me and my boyfriend around like a hawk. Like what, are you afraid that people will steal? That's why you set up security cameras so you can be secure while not destroying a customer's shopping journey. Indications of lack of business and management experience. It's rude to stare down your customers and extremely rude to be making faces while they're looking at things to buy. I always replenish my Sheseido skin care here. For every 200 dollars purchase you get a free facial, no expiration. I didn't realize my 10 yr purpose of probably 5 k earned me so many facials. I was in 7th heaven. Granted they don't speak English perfectly, you know what you want. Mother's Day is May every year. On Fridays , Saturdays & Sundays they have English & Vietnamese counter ladies who will demonstrate their products appropriately. All trained by Sheseido Corporate office, certified by Japanese Sheseido. I don't really stock up on make-up. A little lip gloss and I'm out the door. When I do spend money on make-up, I tend to buy just a few brands. I come here for Shiseido lip gloss and Guerlain lipstick. It's a smallish cosmetics boutique right next to the California Market. They have boxed sets, perfume, and soaps. They have a variety brands that I usually overlook. I get my Shiseido and Guerlain, and I'm out. Most of the saleswomen speak limited English. Usually English isn't their first language, but they try. If you don't speak Korean, be patient and speak a little slowly. They're all very helpful. read more

Asians are extremely racist towards each other, and Rodeo Cosmetics is the prime example of this sort of deplorable behavior. I've worn sweats into an Hermes store and gotten better, more courteous service. The ladies here will literally stalk you and haunt you, and the instant you don't respond to their "Annyong haseyo," you automatically out yourself as a non-korean, and from that point on, prepare to be stalked within an inch of your life. Whether you're looking at a $90 bottle of fairy maiden virgin honey dew extract or a $1 sheet mask, you're going to be observed by a sales lady standing 6 inches from you. You will not be allowed to simply browse in peace. You will be observed as closely as a black man inside a Sak's 5th Avenue. I'm not exaggerating. There are a lot of excellent cosmetics selections, including brands most people won't be able to find in stores. But in this day and age, there's really no reason to go to a store that treats its customers so shabbily like this one, unless one has a need for instant gratification (which, sadly, I sometimes do). I'm korean-american and the lady said her daughter was my age. so I guess that gave her all the reason to talk down to me, not look me in the eye, not answer my questions, ignore my comment that "I already have that product and I don't use it because I don't like it" as she basically blames me for not liking it and carries on about how I should use the samples of the product in question. I even asked her to give me a different product sample and was simply ignored. I was not done shopping but the lady carried over the item she had retrieved for me to the register and rang me up. I guess I was done.. I have been having bad eczema on my face and it's getting embarrassing. I asked her to give me suggestions but I guess she forgot or maybe she wasn't listening .. I worked in a korean cosmetic shop for many years.. the best lesson I ever learned in customer service -- a happy customer does a business good. I will not return. at first was feeling guilty for feeling so upset because I know a little about standing on the other side of that counter.. but I broke my butt to treat customers with respect and I see no reason to expect less when I am the one purchasing. read more

The reason I went here was because it was only close to home, most Korean high-end cosmetics get a thorough price, so I know the price of any cosmetics store is the same. Each store is competing with each other for customer care and service. When I visited for the first time, they made me a point card that was dropped upon purchase, but after every purchase they said they couldn't find my point card, and said if they find it later, they will earn it. Honestly I really don't matter the point card, all I want it, better and continuous customer care. Seems that's not good customer service. Not just one time, but every time. if they can't do the right point control, shouldn't do that anymore, I stop by and bought cosmetics today and got the same happen again. On the way home, I got angry and went back and returned, and when a formal protest was made, the man who appeared to be the owner was behind counter, he saw at everything, but he just seemed to have no interest. These Korean ladies were super sweet and helpful when I told them I wanted to purchase a set of Ohui product which costs about $150. I was told each dollar I spent I get 1 point and for 200 points I get a free foot massage voucher or 20% off or something. The Next 2 times I came in I bought a bottle of sunscreen for $40 and something else for $30. No one asked for my name and birthday to write down the points for me. I was a little upset but I let it go. The last time I came in and made a purchase of $50. The lady did NOT ask for my name and bday. I had to ask her: "do I get points for this purchase?" Then she pulled out my record and wrote down my points. At this point I am pretty sure I have enough points for the voucher but guess what? I am not coming back to this store because these ladies are pretty rude when they notice you're not buying a lot. Rodeo Cosmetics located at 322 N Rodeo Drive and dba ADORE Cosmetics...BEWARE! This is a TOTAL SCAM and buyers beware. We were approached by a salesperson outside of the shop on Rodeo Drive telling us they are having a special. Normally they only sell to the rich and famous, but today they are allowing consumers to try their products and buy for half price. The person put something under my right eye that made the bags disappear immediately. Normally selling for $1199...today only it is $599. The only problem is that is doesn't work. I don't know what she put under my eye, but before leaving (after I bought it), the bags came back. The product that I bought didn't do the same thing when I put it on. I took it to my doctor who laughed and said it should be $5.99 not $599. They stamped on the receipt "ALL SALES FINAL". When I called American Express they advised that I try to return it and if I don't receive a credit to dispute it. I sent it back registered and it was refused. It sounds like there are a lot of others in the same situation. The credit card company is backing me up. I am also contacting the Better Business Bureau and the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce. If you didn't buy it...you're lucky. If you did buy it, they have a no return policy that the credit card companies have to honor until they get enough complaints, which are starting to mount (check the YELP reviews under ADORE). I am presently contacting the Better Business Bureau, Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce, and in process of taking them to small claims court. read more

Honestly, reading these reviews here are outrageous yet... hilarious. I've been to rodeo cosmetics every Monday for a month because I want to pick up some high quality skincare and literally, everyone is so nice. Especially Jenny Kim! She introduced me to O HUI and gave me so many samples, I can literally get by one month with these samples. Despite the language barrier, she understood what my dilemma is which was acne scars and unbalanced complex on my skin and got me items that would help me and it did! When I saw something that would catch my eye, I would ask her if I can have a sample to try it out and she gladly gave it to me no questions asked. I'm so grateful for you honestly because as a college student with all nighter and working, she basically saved my skin. I came in today and looking for some news products to try. Since I have been using shiseido for almost 10 years, I just want to switch up to something news. For some reasons, I don't feel like the skin care I use is not working for me anymore. Anyhow, when I came in the lady ran from outside in and greeted me. She asked me what do I need. I told her that my skin feels dull and I want somethings news to replace my Shiseido kit at home. She kept asking me what do I need, so I thought she didn't understand what I said, I told her I need a new skin care products, something with cleanser, toner and moisturizer etc...she said"Oh clean eh" then show me the section where they have all the cleanser. I was like okay, I asked her what do you think I should use? (Since I can't speak or read Korean)I told her I have combination skin and a bit of redness on the cheeks and is there anything to treat that. She said "red go to the doctor, this is all we have" I was flipping out. Did she just tell me to go to the doctor? Okay well thanks for being very helpful.
