This is for the photo department. This is the second time they have saved an event that either Amazon photos failed to ship ( even with expedited shipping) in time, or my Printer took a dive. I put in an order late Friday night and Darlene had my 16x20 board print ready for the party hours in advance right after 9 am. I'm super impressed. Solid 2 stars. The people seem overwhelmed and if you can get through to them they jump to their canned answers and were unwilling to wait for my question. Had to ask my simple question 3 times to get the guy to stop answering the wrong question, wasting both our time. The biggest problem is Walgreens as a company. Try calling to get basic info and they will trap you in a convoluted phone system. The most illiterate group of people I can possibly encounter. I have had so many issues with this location - from printing one page PDF (driving back and forth three times) and ended up cancelling to my most recent experience with their pharmacy. The pharmacist that helped me was so incompetent and kept claiming that my insurance was not valid even though I have just left the ER and they were able to verify my insurance and the fact that I have had no issues with my current pharmacy at Costco.. but had to come here because Costco Pharmacy is closed Sunday. So when I finally got a hold of my insurance company to verify everything is correct.. she tells me that I need to call Costco to cancel the prescriptions that I never received so that she can issue it to me at Walgreens. Just incompetent and doesn't even know what she's talking about. Wasted my time and I went without my antibiotics until I was able to go to Costco the day after. Honestly would never come to this location unless you just want snacks. No one knows how to work anything past a register here. read more

I went to pickup my Rx at the drive through. Alter waiting about 7 minutes behind a truck, I was told that my Rx was ready but I could not get it because the pharmacist was on break. This being a new medicine apparently i needed to be educated by this pharmacist on how to take it. It was no where near their posted break time. I was told the pharmacist would be back in 15 minutes. Being the reasonable gentleman that I am, I return to the pharmacy after 20 minutes. This time I returned and went inside the store. After getting snyred at by the old lady who works at the front register, I preceded to the pharmacy. I was promptly charged the required amount of money and handed my medication. No instructions on how to take it!!!!! I am now looking at home delivery pharmacys. This is why Walgreens are being closed across this great nation. Store was very clean but my review is mainly with the Pharmacy. Happened to be in the area running errands and stopped to get a couple of vaxx. I was told I needed an appointment. I told the Pharm that the location on 6th St and Long Beach Blvd told me only Covid vaxx appt were required. He looked at me very puzzled and went to ask. Horrible management, it took over 30 minutes to process 3 cars through the drive through. When I came to the window I sat there for 10+minutes before they finally told me I couldn't get my items because a pharmacist was out for lunch and asked that I wait an additional 15 minutes. There parking lot was not busy, and from looking inside there was no line for the pharmacy inside. Very poor management and oversight. read more

Employees are nice and helpful but WHY does it always feel like a hot-ass swamp in the store?? The employees are sweating and look absolutely miserable and I can never spend more than 5 or 10 minutes in there without feeling suffocated. It's been like this for a couple years now. The only reason I'll go in there is to grab something quick... if it was at least tolerable, I'd shop there more often. I brought this up to the employees and they agreed with me saying they were very uncomfortable a majority of the time but that corporate controlled their a/c remotely so they were unable to do anything about it. I went there to pick up my daughters medications because they have pneumonia they told me we need two hours to fill them up and we will text you but of course no one texted me.. then when i went i had to wait half an hour in the drive through and then when i got there the pharmacist REBECCA closed the wind shield on me after she rolled her eyes on me and she sat inside talking and laughing with the other pharmacist TIAM and drinking coffee.I stayed there waiting for 10 minutes knocking on the window. The pharmacists are nice and helpful. The manager and the supervisors are so nice at the store but Vanessa, whatever her role is in the Pharmacy she needs to go honestly. Her voice is awful. You pull up you're sick you're trying to get your medicine and she gives you so much grief. Walgreens: when I asked her for her name, she didn't wanna give it to me because she knew she was wrong. Vanessa flat out said she was rude because she didn't understand my situation. WHAAT? I have been going to this particular Walgreens for years and only in the past month have they completely plummeted into a a place with such lousy service. No communication, no patient care . I am talking strictly about the pharmacy. In the past when my physician sent in prescription refills , they were prompt and let me know per email when my scrips were ready . Now , nothing !!!!! You have to call them and remind them that doctor sent refill request days before . And empathy of zero when it has anything to do with pain medications . And to be totally honest , if I called in prescription refill a couple days early because I went thru a couple of tough "pain" days , they would oblige and fill . Not anymore . I went 3 days without pain medication before they would refill a prescription that was sent from doctors days before . I understand the ongoing opioid crisis but don't understand why pharmacy is rude and non- caring to their loyal patients. Maybe that's why most pharmacies have such low ratings . read more

ZERO STARS BEWARE OF FRAUD AT THIS LOCATION. Late last year, I went to buy a Nordstrom gift card at this location. The next day, when I went to use it at Nordstrom, they said that the gift card was not activated. Luckily, I kept the receipts and took it all back to the same location to return/exchange it but the cashier at the time said she couldn't do refunds on gift cards and I had to contact the store manager. I reached out to both the Store Manager and the Assistant Store Manager and they kept directing me to Walgreens Corporate. Corporate would do NOTHING about it but suggest I reach out to Blackhawk (the company that provides the gift cards to Walgreens). When I tried calling Blackhawk, they said that they only work with the vendors and not end users like myself. In other words, I was sent on a wild goose chase. I went back to the store to try to figure out a solution with the Store Manager but he said there was nothing he could do. Corporate would not stand by it either so I will never support a Walgreens ever again. I will also be filing a complaint with the FTC and BBB for this as well. read more

I have been coming to this Walgreens location for years. I have a chronic disorder that require a number of medications to control pain etc. One medication is on a 28 day refill cycle from my dr who I've been under his care for 12 years, and all of a sudden, a pharm tech last month started questioning me about personal info regarding my medication. They also seem to be forgetful lately that 28 days is 28 days and that I shouldn't have to feel judged or interrogated for checking the status of a medication my dr prescribes and them challenging me that my days aren't up...im a day early. Then, once again I have to say check the calendar...its the 28th day. It's totally unpleasant and unprofessional! They're forgetting that there's other pharmacies around, and why, especially now, would they risk losing customers and business. They are terrible with filling prescriptions. Making you wait until 29 days are up before allowing you your 30 day prescription that your doctor wrote you a prescription for on the 25th day. When I have a legitimate prescription from a legitimate doctor for a legitimate medical reason, I should be allowed to fill it when the doctor prescribes it, not when the pharmacist who has nothing to do with my treatment says it's ok to fill it. So what if it's a schedule 2 drug, it keeps me out of pain and it keeps me from having to rush to the e.r. since I can't stand the agony. I wish they could show some compassion for someone who was hit by a moving vehicle as a pedestrian. Instead they stereotype me as a drug addict. Newsflash Walgreens, they have other pharmacies that I can take my $1000/month prescription to. read more

ZERO!!! This pharmacy has created such a nightmare for my boyfriend and has been absolutely NO help at all. We turned in his prescriptions as usual [have been getting the same for about a year at this location] only for them to tell me when HE CALLS THEM the day they are to be picked up that they will no longer help him. We already had to wait for the items to be ordered and delivered. He is a chiropractor and suffers from multiple issues that cause extreme pain and is unable to work without his medication. Now, CVS is unable to order one of the medications from their supplier. We are BEYOND frustrated and will absolutely be letting people know about our experience here. Worst pharmacy in California. Several times have been given pick up times only to show up and asked to return later. Then, when I return, they ask me to wait while they fill the order. Also, multiple times refilled via phone and was given a confirmation of the medication name and dosage along with a pick up time. When no text or email confirmation was received, I called back and was informed there was no such existing order. So I placed the refill order multiple times and received a confirmation each time, but when I called the pharmacy they said "Oh, it must not have gone through". How flippant! My medication is not critical, but it can be for others. Would not someone who cared just a tiny bit have expressed concern that phone orders were not going through? Clearly that location does not care about patients or customer service. I know Walgreens is a giant and they could care less about a poor review, but the company and pharmacy leadership at this location should be ashamed of themselves. read more

I WISH I COULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS because this places doesn't deserve any stars at all this pharmacy should be shut down they do not care about there patients or anyone as a person. I called for a refill on a prescription on 9/30/19, I didn't have any refills left so they sent a request over to my doctor to get a refill. I called on 10/4/19 to see if the prescription had been filled yet, the pharmacy tech said " We have not received anything from your doctor yet" ( time I called Walgreens at:12:25) I hung up with Walgreens and called my doctor's office they looked into it and informed me that they responded to the refill request on 9/30/19 in a very timely fashion. Once I got off the phone with my doctors office I called Walgreens back and spoke to the pharmacist and she stated that they were processing the refill right now. I asked her how can they be processing the refill when less then 1 hr ago they had not received anything from my doctor yet? She had no answer for me, My next question was why wasn't the it refilled on 9/30, 10/1,10/2,10/3.10/4?? She also had NO answer to that. So if the pharmacist has no answer as to why a prescription was delayed 5 days to get filled who does? This is medication no groceries. (THE REAL ANSWER IS: THEY FOR 5 DAYS DID NOT DO THE JOB THEY GET PAID TO DO and no one in the pharmacy wants to take responsibility for that ) We as patients don't choose to have the diseases we have but we have to take certain medications that our doctors prescribe to us to live as healthy a life as we can. I'm currently trying to reach the District Manager Claire Marshall to get answer and try to prevent this from happening to other patients because this is a BIG BIG case of PATIENT NEGLECT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
