I'm such a fan of this rite aid and that fact that it's within a mile of my place! Nothing like being able to satisfy a thrifty ice cream craving with just a drive. I'm not a huge fan of having ice cream from the counter since the prices have significantly gone up, but I love coming here and buying a little bit of everything (food, snacks, supplements, ice cream quarts for friends, drinks, seasonal products and even dog toys and dog treats). I've been here quite often (we come here about 2x/month) especially because this location is dog friendly (your dog has to behave though or they can ask you and your dog to leave) and because I've bought a little bit from each aisle in this location (over the total amount of times that I've been here). I love that this location is open until midnight (I'm pretty sure they stop serving ice cream before midnight though) and there's been plenty of late nights that I've come here to buy something I need for late at night or last minute. There's usually always customers in this location shopping for something here and the employees have always been friendly and even talkative, at times. You can't tell that this location is located in Huntington Beach because they don't have a bunch of Beach items perpetually for sell or tons of clothes items with "Huntington beach" on them. read more

Worst customer service ever! I went in to return items I bought online and the cashier was really nice but unable to do it so he called for a manager. I waited for 3 to 4 minutes and and then watched the manager leisurely stroll up to the front of the store pushing a cart all the way from the back, like she was in a park on a Sunday afternoon. She got to the cash register and didn't say anything to me and tried to process the return but was unable to as well even though I had the online receipt. She told me she could only give me store credit and asked for my driver's license, even though I had the receipt right in front of me! When I refuse to store credit because I had my receipt, she had to call another manager who came up and processed the transaction and refunded the money to my American Express. Although he was finally able to process the refund, he had zero personality and customer service skills as well. I explained to him that I would have taken the store credit if the first manager had any customer service skills at all and is only reply was "oh ok sorry"... CVS is way better, I definitely will not be back to this Rite aid. read more

I have been coming to this rite aid for about 6 years now. I have many medical issues and needed a lot of prescriptions filled. I've had pharmacies in 4 different states and in many cities and have run into a lot of problems with insurance etc getting scripts filled over the years the last 30 years. The pharmacists at this rite aid on Warner Ave. are the best pharmacists and assistants I have ever had! Samantha and Jeven and the rest of the crew are so amazing that if I had to move 50 miles away I would still come to this pharmacy on Springdale and Warner to get my prescriptions filled. I don't know the names of all the pharmacists but they know mine! Before I even get in line they see me, grab my prescription, and have it ready to go! They even remember by birthday so I don't have to punch it in! I hope someone from Rite Aid corporate sees this review because the associates you have working in the pharmacy on Warner and Springdale are THE BEST pharmacists I've ever had. Best. Pistachio ice cream. Ever. I've tried so many different ice cream places. And so many different kinds (liquid nitrogen, gelato, custard, etc) and I have to say that my favorite ice cream is the pistachio ice cream from Rite Aid. They only put pistachios which is nice because sometimes I just want pistachios only and the ice cream itself isn't bitter and tastes really sweet and creamy. I like it because it has this really great pistachio flavoring and scent but it's not overwhelming. I love Rite Aid ice cream forever. read more

I've been meaning to leave this feedback for YEARS! This is my favorite pharmacy. They always remember my name in sight and actually ask how I'm feeling. They work very good as a team as well. The Asian man pharmacist is super nice too and the black lady as well. Samantha always helps me and has a mom-like nature. (She always looks put together too.) I wish they had a drive thru but that is not their fault. The CVS on Warner and Bolsa Chica pales in comparison. That CVS is wack and they know it. They admit to being understaffed and don't let u know if something is out of stock and just lets your scripts sit there unfulfilled. read more

Wanted to give a thank You to the pharmacy staff here! My grandma went in for her first round of the COVID vaccine and has been raving about her experience. She asked me to write in to say thank you. She has never been a fan of doctors and doesn't get the flue vaccines, so she was a little hesitant to get the COVID vaccine. She was struggling to figure out how to get it at other places and happened upon your site and easily got an appointment! This Rite Aid has been incredibly disappointing year after year. The store remains unable to accommodate Thrifty Ice cream for years and even when the station is open it leaves the customer ashamed by the amount of, or lack there of, ice cream flavors available. Random Flavors that nobody wants and a team of employees and managers who don't seem to care for one of the main attractions of their store. Would not serve ice cream after 10 all of a sudden. How hard is it to scoop ice cream. VERY DISAPPOINTING

Hubby and I stopped by Rite Aid to pick up some items. I typically don't shop at Rite Aid but it was on my route and convenient. The store is large, needs to be remodelled, but seemed well stocked. As I was at the check out counter, our nice server Miguel told us that my witches hat costume would be $4.99 if I had a Rite Aid customer card. Hubby told him we wanted to sign up for the card and Miguel typed and typed and typed in all of our information. You would have thought Miguel was getting clearance for launching a nuclear weapon. Then, it gets even better.....Miguel had difficulty processing our information and asked for assistance from Theresa (Shift Supervisor). Theresa's reply to Miguel was, "I don't know what to do. Just follow the directions." Umm, Theresa wasn't helpful and she needs to "Shift" her tired and grouchy attitude to Florida and join the retired peeps. Hubby's patience finally hit it's limit and he asked Miguel to please process our discount so that we could get home to drink our 50% off wine. =) I won't be returning to Rite Aid.....CVS, here I come. read more

What a joke! 6 months later and I stop in for a couple items to use my plenti points on and employees are still rude! Not to mention, my purchase was small and I had 73.00 left in plenti points and the cashier tells me that I owe .21 (?) I challenge him on it and he tells me that he understands that I have 73.00 but I cannot use them for my entire amount of 5.27. Um, ok, why? Does not make sense to me. Knowing that I am clearly upset by his incompetence I was like "whatever" paid the .21 and walked out the door. The jerk (cashier) has the audacity to shout out to me to have a nice day and is rude about it rather than trying to offer assistance in trying to find out the reason why I cannot use the plenti points. Everyone here is so nice. This is definitely my fav pharmacy. The clerks are fast with friendly faces. The ice cream I've loved since childhood. But this last visit really prompted me to write a review. I dropped by the other day with my sister; we had stopped by CVS previously and she had asked the CVS pharmacist for consultation and the pharmacist on duty said that she needed to see a doctor. Nothing else said. So I suggested we try our neighborhood Rite Aid since it was on the way home. Todd was the pharmacist at Rite Aid when we got there. I was in the area where you are suppose to wait for the next cashier & guess what there were at least 2 other customers who formed their own line & did not follow your store's instructions. I have been coming here for three years and it has always been one issue after another with their pharmacy. From not having certain medications in and not informing me when I call to messing up insurance information. Today I couldn't pick up a prescription,that was ready for an entire day already, for a topical cream that I couldn't have because "the pharmacist" was on lunch and has to be present... We use this Rite Aid often, while if I personally have an issue with the the store, they are minor. However, it seems every time my boyfriend goes there, he has an issue and it's always the same cashier. This cashier is named Amir, his first problem with him was at the ice cream counter, where this kid couldn't give a normal sized helping of ice cream and when something was mentioned to him about it, the kid got indignant. Recently he went in to purchase beer, there was no one in line but, Amir refused to break away from stocking the ice cream counter (something he could have gone back to doing after helping a customer) to help someone, kept saying he'd be there in a minute. He finally decided to help my boyfriend, while I know the rules about carding people, there is no way my boyfriend even looks under 40. Amir asked for ID, doesn't matter if it's expired or not, it's ID. He said, "It's expired", my boyfriend told him he has an extension. Then Arie called the manager over, the manager asked my boyfriend's date of birth and did an override on the cash register. Amir then indignantly mentioned again that my boyfriends ID was expired, when it had already been handled. My boyfriend left the beer on the counter and walked out. Then he turned around, returned to the store and asked the kid for his name, he gave his first name and rudely asked my boyfriend if he wanted him to write it down. When asked for his last name, Amir rudely said they don't give out that information. All this while the manager was standing there and said nothing. My boyfriend has dealt with him a few times in between these two visits. There is an issue with Amir's attitude, always acts if he is being bothered. People like this have no business dealing with customers. With that being said, we will no longer be patrons of this Rite Aid and will get the word out not to do business here, until this punk is dealt with and fired, he doesn't deserve a job. What is sad, with the exception of this kid, everyone is so nice and helpful. I know Rite Aid doesn't want this image representing them, as the employees closest to the door when you enter are required to say hello. It's about customer service, get back on the ball. read more

I had to stop and pick up ice cream and ice for a friend's get-together. I had always heard that Rite Aid's brand ice cream (Thrifty) was very good. So instead of just going to Ralphs and getting some known brand, I decided to stop at this Rite Aid. The store was pretty big for a pharmacy, and the Thrifty brand was prominently featured. There was actually a little ice cream parlor station (though it was unmanned) as well as freezer cases of packaged ice cream. I wanted chocolate and vanilla, but surprisingly, they were out of chocolate so I had to settle for strawberry and vanilla. I wasn't a big fan of the ice cream. The flavor wasn't anything special, and I didn't care for the consistency, which was kind of taffy-like. I prefer the smooth, creamy texture of Haagen-Dazs. Maybe it is a matter of preference, but for me, I probably won't be getting Thrifty ice cream again anytime soon. read more

Me and my family get all of our prescriptions at Rite Aid and have for years. Every time I come into this ride aid, the staff is very unfriendly, they never smile and I leave feeling very awkward and unpleasant. They barely make eye contact and when they do it's almost a stare down. It seems to be the older personnel that are the less friendly, although it just depends. The store is well lit and has more selection than most rite aids don't but honestly I rather go to another rite aid just so I didn't have to deal with the staff. read more
