Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of parking available behind the building. Of course this was during a late Sunday afternoon. We received impeccable service from Travis L. I never once had to ask for a refill of my drink. We shared an order of the fried mozzarella sticks. They were perfectly toasty and served with deliciously chunky marinara sauce. We also split the spinach pecan salad, which included tasty blueberries. My favorite was the creole delight, which I plan on ordering again. From the street, this building seems small. However, it's pretty long, and the interior is fairly spacious and comfortable. The patrons here seemed to be from all walks of life. The prices for foods and drinks were quite reasonable. After an absence of many years, I will very likely return.

I think we all know that Venice is that girl!!! I have never had a bad experience while dining here. We recently came in for a GirlsMas dinner in the private room. Peach Lemon drop: I dont know who was bartender that evening but omg the lemond drops were phenomenal. Perfectly made and the peach puree really is the perfect addition. We went to Venice Kitchen for the first time tonight! It was busy and we did have a short wait, then were seated at the bar. We started with a classic Caesar salad and the veggie wings! The wings flavor was great especially paired with the house ranch. I got the Shell-A-Brate for my entree; I loved the two sauce combination, but I wish there had been a little less spinach in each shell. This restaurant seems great for a date night, girl dinner, or a family meal! I enjoyed the food and would eat it again but it did not wow me!

I have heard a lot of good things about Venice Kitchen, so my friend and I decided to try it out. When we got to the restaurant, we just noticed how amazing-looking the place is. We were immediately seated at a table when we walked in in. Our waitress Nevaeh was amazing and took care of us. My friend ordered the Rasta Pasta and I ordered the Hog Wild Pizza. While we were waiting for our foods I just looked and noticed how clean the restaurant is. Once our foods arrive, I can't wait to dig in. The Pork Tenderlion on the pizza was just excellent. Also adding bacon and caramelized onions with it was just fabulous. I also tried a little bit of my friend Rasta Pasta and it was really good as well.

Venice Kitchen has quickly become one of my go-to spots since moving to Memphis. It's the perfect date night restaurant -- cozy, welcoming, and always consistent. Every time I've been, the service has been incredible. The staff go out of their way to make you feel taken care of, and the food is always fresh and delicious. What I really love is that it feels like a "nicer night out" without being overly upscale or intimidating. You get great quality dishes, a relaxed but elevated atmosphere, and a perfect setting whether you're on a date or just want to treat yourself to a good meal. If you're looking for a place that strikes the balance between casual and special, Venice Kitchen is it. Highly recommend!

Me and my wife stopped in for dinner. First thing first they dont do reservations, its first come first serve. I approached the desk out front and gave my name and number and was told it be 30 mins. It was actually about 35 mins before we got a table ready text. So we where seated and introduced to our waitress. She brought us waters and wasn't seen again for about 15 mins. Wifey was on the verge of us leaving before the waitress popped up again. We ordered an appy and wifey got a drink, so we could get the whole experience. We ordered Mozarella stick, a Strawberry Lemon Drop and I got a Modelo Negra.We skim the menu and I got a BBQ chicken pizza(I cant remember the name of it) and wifey did a BYO pizza(Pepperoni and Bacon). Wifey said the Lemon Drop was ok, and here pizza was heavily sauced which she didnt like much my BBQ was ok. The mozzarella sticks where "Trash Can", but the pizza we ordered weren't terrible. Very edible actually just not to die for to me. I would come here again if someone wanted to visted but not off of my own power tho. I'm never disappointed at Venice Kitchen. The service is always pleasant, the food is hot and fresh and I always have a good time. I ordered the spinach dip, loaded fries and the creole delight pasta. Those are my go to meals when I go. Never disappointed.

It's pretty consistent. The menu offers decent Italian dishes and pizza. The cheese stick are off the charts. Service is usually pretty good, casual place to dine.

I love love love Venice Kitchen. It's one of my favorite spots to get dinner in Memphis. We got the S5, crawfish egg rolls, and chicken tacos this time. The S5 is a unique and delicious pizza creation. The crawfish egg rolls are creamy, perfectly seasoned, and stuffed with just the right amount of crawfish. I like to get the house salad with lemon vinaigrette to feel healthy lol. The staff is always friendly and the restaurant is a beautiful casual dining spot. Other things I'd recommend: the lemon drop, southern Cobb salad, creole delight pasta, and fried chicken chipotle tacos. You really can't go wrong with much here.

This was my first time here, even though I past by quite often. My daughter took me for Mothers Day this past Saturday. We had a small wait which was great considering it was Mother's Day weekend and lots of graduations. Everyone was friendly and our waiter(Prince) explained everything and keep checking that we were good despite it being very busy. We got the crawfish rolls, mozzarella sticks, deviled eggs, southern Cobb salad, my daughter got the bacon cheeseburger pizza, the chicken fettuccine and I got the mighty meat. The stars were definitely the egg rolls, the salad and the pizzas. The salad was huge and fresh, the egg rolls were so tasty and I don't like crawfish and the dipping sauce. The pizza was chewy crunchy in all the right ways and all the toppings were fresh and delicious. The deviled eggs needed a touch of sweetness that's just my history talking, still very good. I will definitely be back. It's not a big restaurant but felt big in a good way, we weren't on top of each other. It was very welcoming.

This place is very overhyped. This was my first time hear and I was excited to try it. I wanted to start with something you shouldn't mess up which was the mozzarella sticks and even tho they look good. The breaded was either seasoned weird or the oil was really old. Not sure which. I got a mocktail mojito which was really tasty 10/10. For my entree I got the chicken parm with a side ceaser salad. But the parm was more like flakes instead of melted cheese. Wasn't a fan. But wasn't nasty. While sitting at the bar I witnessed this encounter between a customer and manager. And the manger was not friendly or helpful at all. She was kinda rude in the tone she was talking in and wasn't giving great solutions on helping the customer. Would I be back probably not.

The food as always was great. It just happened to be my birthday lunch with my daughter. Hostess super sweet. Sat down waited over 10 min to even see our server (we went at 11:30am it wasn't busy). She walked up, no hello, just a "what do you want to drink?" Took our order the same way. We never got a chance to even speak with her let alone say hey it's my birthday. She did refill our sodas but honestly it was shocking to receive such bad service there. It has never happened before just really bad timing as we were there to celebrate. It was the first time my adult daughter was taking me out for my birthday. Have to admit it did bring down the mood. But, to the server we got, I am sorry your day wasn't going well. Mine was. I hope your days get better and you learn to be friendly. Cuz all of your fellow employees are. I hate that your day wasn't good. I really do. Just wish I had a different server for my special day. read more

My hubby and dined there to celebrate our 47th anniversary on a gift card from our son......from the time we walked in until the time we left, it was one of the most memorable experiences we've had in a long time. The visit date was Saturday, April 20th, 2024, around 5 pm First off, Venice Kitchen will text your mobile when the party is ready to be seated, which is very efficient. I was seated at a table and enjoyed an espresso martini while I waited on missing members of my party. The coffee flavor was smooth, and the vodka kind of snuck up on me. I would order it again! My server, Sydney, offered water for the table while I waited. I ordered the "ultimate cheese fries," and they came out fairly quickly. I was suspect at first, but they were hot and cheesy with bits of green onion. The GM greeted me and made light conversation. Later, she brought a dessert version of an espresso martini. It was served in a metal martini style glass (to keep it ice cold). It had a caramel and white chocolate addition that really made it dessert forward. I don't know if it was chocolate liqueur or plain chocolate syrup, but it was tasty. She explained that she was a sommelier as well as the GM and was testing out new cocktails. Cool with me because I like cocktails. I must admit I was impressed that she was an expert because it is not easy to be certified as a sommelier. Especially a black female sommelier! Bonus points for that! When my family arrived, we were not rushed to order, and Sydney was attentive and patient. I like giving servers their props when they are on top of the game because I will also rip them to shreds when they are lazy! Sydney was cool. We finally decided to do a family style dinner, and we shared the chicken Alfredo fettuccine, Pasta Maria, and a Deluxe pizza. The four of us could not finish the large portions, so we had plenty for leftovers. The chicken Alfredo was decent, but the pasta Maria was our favorite. The pizza was full of meat and veggies, but the green peppers were chopped too big. Overall, I think the food was a 4, service -5 and atmosphere-5. I 'm going back to try the Creole Delight pasta and Hog Wild pizza. Hopefully, the next dining experience will be just as pleasant. read more

I am aware that Venice Kitchen has probably been around ever since I was in high school! It's interesting that I finally got around to trying this place out and as a result, I'm kicking myself for waiting for so long! I arrived prior to the start of Happy Hour and sat at the bar. The bartender was friendly and served up excellent Lemon Drops (not an happy hour special). I loved the fact that this restaurant offered a great variety of options to choose from. I was told that you couldn't go wrong with anything on the menu and that statement was correct! My friend and I tried the crawfish rolls as an appetizer and they were delicious! We decided to go with the bacon cheeseburger pizza afterwards. Although we ordered an individual-sized pizza, we were able to easily split it because the portion size was perfect! The flavor was outstanding. Overall, the service was great and I am eager to return soon! read more

This used to be a sleeper pick for brunch, but I guess the word got out. LOL! VK is a good place to get a good meal. The drinks are always solid and service too. The parking is...struggle. Also, the location being on a sharp turn that you will drive past the place 9 out of 10 times. LOL! The Crabby Crawdaddy pizza is special. I'm not a fan of seafood but I will get this every time. The food is normally excellent, especially if eating there or picking it up yourself. Uber eats sometimes causes heat issues but that happens with all delivery services. My faves are the Rasta Pasta, Angel Hair & Meatballs & pizza. I'm sure other dishes are good as well. If you've never been it's time to give them a try. read more

So let me preface this by saying the food is too good! But sometimes there are little things that make you say umph. The pizza is crazy good and seasoned to perfection. Seafood doesn't usually stand up to some twists but this one does my only issue is I requested cauliflower crust but received regular crust. The next photo is of 'bacon' that comes on the cobb salad and the quotes are because this was a mound of bacon crumbs in grease. It was over powering and not bacon as described for this dish. After removing this, the salad was very good. I also got crawfish chowder and it was amazing and very well seasoned. And saving the best for last I also enjoyed crawfish rolls... GET THEM! read more

Sunday brunch here is a MUST. The service is fast and friendly and the food is delicious! I had the breakfast tacos and breakfast potatoes which were delicious and the crawfish rolls for an appetizer. The crawfish rolls were amazing! The prices are very reasonable as well . The only downside is parking .,there is only back lot parking which doesn't feel like the best for safety purposes. read more

This is one of my go to restaurants. The Caesar salads are always fresh and the chicken Parmesan will always be one of my favorites. If you can get a bar seat please do so it has a nice comforting feel. I can't remember my favorite server at the bar but her hair is usually a nice mix of auburn blond color and wears glasses. read more

I love the atmosphere of this restaurant. It's beautifully decorated and the vibe is chill, but classy in my opinion. It is a good spot for date night, family time, or just with friends. On to the food, it was a while since my visit and I wanted to try a few things. I had a few appetizers including Crab Chowder, Crawfish Rolls, & Hickory Smoked Salmon Bruschetta! Everything was super delicious. The chowder was a perfect blend of ingredients and very filling. The Crawfish rolls was something I never had before and I truly enjoyed those. The sauce that comes with them adds extra goodness to them. Lastly, the Hickory Smoked Salmon Bruschetta was a delight. It's a very filling and light dish that everyone should try. Great experience. Our first time to eat here and celebrating a 60th and a 24th birthday. Our party of 5 arrived at 6:30 and was told that they just sat 2 large parties and it would be at least 40 mins wait. They took our number so we walked outside. 30 mins later, I walked in just ahead of another party of 5. They were seated immediately. I asked why we were still waiting and they were sat ahead of us and we were not texted. I was told that my whole party wasn't here and that was why. I said they are here but outside because we were told to wait. I was then told that we should have not been told there was a wait. They had no answer but just said we dont know. There were 3 host/hostesses and they were all on a different page with excuses. It was an "oh, well" mentality. Needless to say, we were not happy with our visit to Venice Kitchen. read more

Great place for lunch or dinner! They also have delivery on Uber eats. Good for walk-ins at lunch, but come on the earlier side because it does start to get crowded. Toms of options for food! Most recently, I went in for lunch. They have their own parking lot behind the restaurant (it can get a little crowded when the place is full though). Very spread out seating inside. On a Thursday lunch, they were very full around 12:30. Got the meatballs to start to split between two. I love this app!! It comes with three meatballs and some garlic bread. Tons of salad options - I got the Walnut Grove salad that has chicken, some veggies, and goat cheese. Salads are the perfect size for lunch. If you are looking for something heavier, the chicken fettuccine is my favorite entree - chicken, pasta, tomatoes, and broccoli. They also have good pizza options. read more

This was fun. I have been here before but never during brunch hours. Still got regular things. We ate on the patio to avoid the wait time. The service was just as good as I remembered. The only thing that beat their awesome service was the food. The Pizza was some of the best I have had in years, and my wife is Italian so I have had some great pies. Atmosphere is nice, comfortable. Always very good food! Ok service. They forgot my 2 orders of shrimp. Therefore, I had to reorder them and sit back down and wait, again. So in love with this plate. It was plated so well. The crawfish sauce on top was just mouthwatering. So creamy and smooth and just complimented the other sides on the plate. Now one thing that may bother some people is how the steak may come out. I ordered my steak to be medium well and it came out at medium rare. After trying 3 times to order online (all fail to connect at payment) I called the store to place my order. It included a Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza. I drove over and pays and noticed the amount was too low so I asked for them to confirm the order and they did. I advised something still seemed off. I then waited for the order( 10 minutes after my estimated pickup time). I check the pizza, it's a simple Cheese Pizza, no Alfredo no toppings. I tell the staff and they say they'll make me a correct pizza. I advise that my other good will be cold over that wait. I was told my other option was a refund for the pizza. No offer to remake my full Order for their mistake. Very disappointed in the staff. The pizza was ok. Just marinara and cheese, nothing special (like I ordered). This is the 3rd time in our last 4 orders we've had an issue. I should know by now to look elsewhere. This restaurant has a website to place online orders . On the website is a place for add on if you would like too . There is also a special instruction column to place any instructions you may have . We did that I'm allergic to marinara sauce so I clearly placed all allergies in the special instruction section . Got my order home and marinara was on my dish . I called and my daughter took the order back to get it made correctly . We were refused a new order and was going to be charged 25 percent . The reason given by the person that wasn't pleasant (I'm being nice ) was they can not see the special instructions on their website . So I asked why am I being penalized because your website doesn't present the full instructions ! She said that's the way it is. So here are my thoughts REMOVE the special instructions column on your site . OR inform people to call if they have allergies or special dietary needs . For her to tell me THATS JUST HOW OUR RESTAURANT DOES THINGS was shocking . So I refused to be forced to PAY for the wrong order and charged 25 percent for the new order !!! The portions were perfect! And the food was amazing! We started with the crawfish rolls and some drinks (I forgot the names lol) the appetizer was so flavor with the right amount of spicy and savory. In my opinion the kids plate was way too much for my kid but definitely worth the price. I had the pasta and my husband had the steak. After leaving a nearby bar, our group stopped in simply looking for food. The restaurant was virtually empty, yet the manager, Charles, insisted that if any of us sat near one another, we would be considered one large party and could only have one check. I explained that we had no problem sitting at separate tables, and each table would gladly have a single check. That should have solved the issue. Instead, Charles instructed an inexperienced and unprofessional server to scatter us throughout the restaurant and warned that if we interacted between tables, we would still be treated as one party. From a management standpoint, this decision made no sense. Rather than maximizing an opportunity to generate significant revenue, leadership chose to create unnecessary obstacles. Ironically, spreading us throughout the restaurant would have required opening multiple sections, increasing the workload on servers and support staff instead of simplifying operations. Leadership sets the tone for a business. Good managers solve problems and create positive guest experiences. They don't create barriers that send paying customers elsewhere. At the end of the day, every business has one primary objective: to generate revenue while providing excellent customer service. Unfortunately, this experience demonstrated poor judgment, inflexible leadership, and a missed opportunity to earn the business of 24 guests who simply wanted a meal. I hope Curfew reevaluates this approach because customer service, common sense, and hospitality should always work together.

Both the gumbo and turnip greens were so flavorful. I highly recommend both dishes! My coworker ordered the ribs and catfish and the rib meat seemed to fall off the bone! I had a bite of her catfish and it had the perfect amount of breading on it. Service is kind and they always kept my water filled. The atmosphere is everything I would want from a diner in Memphis- it's divey without being too dirty and decorated with rock n roll memorabilia.

Shortly after we were seated, the restaurant manager stopped by our table. My sister asked for cocktail recommendations... if you're a cocktail fan, you're in for a treat. Their signature cocktails were thoughtfully crafted and exceptionally well-balanced. We went with their spicy margaritas. As for the food, I could have easily ordered a second helping of the Cajun Abita shrimp appetizer and called it dinner. The shrimp was perfectly seasoned, and the sauce was outstanding. The accompanying beer bread was equally delicious...slightly reminiscent of cornbread but with its own unique flavor. My sister and I weren't huge fans of the She Crab Soup. It was simply too rich and creamy for our tastes. One bite was enough for us although my dad seemed to enjoy it. The Blue Window Wedge Salad is their take on a classic wedge which was spectacular. It will be hard to find another wedge salad that measures up. The sweet potato pecan casserole was good but it felt like it was missing something that we couldn't quite put our finger on what. The maple bacon Brussels sprouts were a table favorite...perfectly cooked and well-seasoned. My dad and sister both enjoyed the braised beef, which was served with mashed potatoes and asparagus. To finish, we shared the white chocolate bread pudding and it was absolutely delicious. In fact, the table next to us seemed to enjoy theirs just as much. Overall, this was a wonderful dining experience with great service, a memorable atmosphere, excellent cocktails and standout dishes. I'd happily return the next time I'm headed downtown.

Love the speakeasy entrance off the side alley steps. It's everything you would want in a dining experience. Get the she crab soup!

Venice Kitchen is one of my go-to spots--I've honestly lost count of how many times I've been! The vibe is always fun and welcoming, perfect for a chill night out or catching up with friends. I usually try something new each visit, but the Creole Delight Pasta is always a solid choice--creamy, flavorful, and loaded with seafood. The crawfish egg rolls are a must-try too--crispy on the outside with a spicy, savory kick on the inside. Their drinks are consistently amazing, but my personal fave is the Beauty School Dropout--super cute and dangerously good. I can't even remember all the drinks I've tried from my photos, but trust me, the whole cocktail menu is worth exploring. The service is always attentive and friendly, even when they're busy. Definitely one of the best spots in the city for good food, good drinks, and good vibes. read more

I wanted to give less but it wasn't an option. Bad customer service. I went there for a to go order after a long work week. The young lady told me to go to the bar. There was a man at the bar who kinda acknowledged me but really didn't. After waiting for a while, with no service provider , I went back to front to inform her that the bartender that was there didn't acknowledge me or ask me if I needed anything. She said that's the Manager, I will go find the bartender. Bad customer service from management, it can't get better if management is bad.I walk away and said no thank you. read more

we came for lunch today. The hostess, I believe her name was Lanay, was incredible! She greeted us immediately with a huge smile. They were busy, but she assured us it would not be a wait. She asked us how our day and told us about the daily pizza Specials. I can't remember the last time a host/ hostess went the extra mile to tell us the specials.
