We are extremely disappointed with our experience purchasing a used BMW X5 from Jaguar Land Rover Honolulu. We are a military family stationed here in Hawaii, and within the first 90 days of purchasing this vehicle, we were faced with thousands of dollars in unexpected repairs. Among the issues, the windshield washer reservoir was leaking and required significant disassembly to access and repair, and the A/C compressor was failing. These were not minor cosmetic concerns. These were significant mechanical issues that, in our opinion, should have been identified before the vehicle was offered for sale. After experiencing such substantial expenses so soon after purchasing the vehicle, we contacted the dealership and asked whether they would consider providing some form of goodwill reimbursement to help offset a portion of our losses. We were initially told by the General Manager that he would discuss the situation with the company management team. After waiting several weeks, we were ultimately told they would not be providing any assistance and that we should have brought the vehicle back to them for assessment. That response was particularly frustrating. When a vehicle develops multiple significant problems shortly after purchase, the burden should not simply be placed back on the customer. We purchased from a reputable Jaguar Land Rover dealership with the expectation that a used vehicle being sold by them had been appropriately inspected and was in reasonable mechanical condition. We understand that used vehicles can require repairs and that dealerships cannot predict every future mechanical issue. However, needing thousands of dollars in repairs within the first 90 days of ownership is not what we reasonably expected when purchasing from a dealership of this caliber. What made the experience even more frustrating is that we are now dealing with a DMV paperwork issue involving the vehicle we traded in as part of this transaction. We were contacted because an additional form needs to be signed due to an issue with the paperwork from the original transaction. This is not something we failed to complete--it is an issue with how the dealership processed the paperwork, yet months later we are being asked to help correct it. As a military family stationed on the island, this was an extremely disappointing and costly experience. Based on how the vehicle was sold and how our concerns were ultimately handled, we would not purchase another used vehicle from Jaguar Land Rover Honolulu and would strongly encourage others to have any used vehicle independently inspected before purchasing here. read more

I would like to say this 5 stars for Mr. Eric. He was an amazing sales person and I couldn't ask for better person to sell me a car with this company. He was attentive and he definitely listen to everything and any concerns I may have. I would 100% recommend him to anyone in the industry for selling a car. I was straight forward and he was the same. He was upfront and I felt great with the deal which is not easy when making a big vehicle purchase. Unfortunately , I cannot say the same for their finance department. I did get an extended warranty, which is probably needed nowadays, but was not fully explained to me, and I did not receive all the documentation upon leaving so when I got home and reviewing everything fully, I feel that I was misled or not completely told all the circumstances which almost caused me to cancel the whole deal. Luckily Mr. Eric was very accommodating and reached out to the financial department and we were able to come to a satisfied conclusion. Honestly, I feel like if the finance department was upfront from the beginning, this would've went a lot smoother for me. I also feel when I called to get more clarification I I was belittle which I did not like but at the end of the day, we both came to a common ground to make the transaction happen. I wish I could give a 0 star rating here - 1 star is generous. I dropped off my car with Audi service before Thanksgiving 2022 and still haven't gotten it back, now mid January 2023. Most of my calls go unanswered. When they do return my call I get excuses (we've been really busy), or "we have to order some parts", or "the parts are delayed", or "there's just one more part that's supposed to come in today", and then some seemingly believable assurance that the work should be done "soon". On more than one occasion I've been given the assurance "I'll call you tomorrow to update you" - and then no calls, week after week. I'm tired of giving them the benefit of the doubt. In the old days your word was your bond, and businesses were known by their quality and reliability. This is a new age with new age businesses that don't know how to take care of their customers or don't care about taking care of their customers. read more

Rented out the Bentley from Velocity and had fantastic customer service over the phone from Gloria Vuto. She answered all my questions and was very knowledgeable about the whole rental process. I was greeted like I was part of the Velocity aloha by Gloria Vuto and Carley Egger. They showed me all of the amenities they offered and I was blown away. The rental went fantastic but we ran a little late due on the return date. We barely made it back to Velocity before they closed, but Gloria made sure to take care of us. Jessica Li picked up the Bentley and was very courteous, even though she was working after hours. All these ladies took very good care of me and made this an unforgettable experience! Just thought I would leave a note regarding our expieriance with Mark/Mary Benson. It was a true blessing that we were able to meet Mark Benson & Mary Benson. We had our eye on a car an Audi that Mark helped us with. It wasn't that he was a nice guy it was more that that. He understood what we were looking for and it was a smooth transition When we took delivery of the car and they went over every facet of the car, most of the things I knew but quite a few wasn't aware of. Horrible experience. Manager (Richard) took deposit then I had to call and email with promises of call backs and communication which I did not get. You would think spending upwards of $280k on a vehicle you would get basic customer service. Made to feel like he was too good to help and that your my was not worthy. Just asking to be updated on allocations and the process was a chore, with false promises of getting back to me. He really could not care less. Sergio, my sales assistant really tried and was very respectful. Just a total let down by a manager with no integrity and no customer service. Stay away from this company! They will defraud you and attempt to rip you off in any and every way possible. They will lie to you about what you need for your car. They will attempt to fraudulently charge you for damage to their loaner cars. They will overcharge you then when you call them out a manager will service you and adjust your invoice.
