Do not trust them with your car - or manager Miles Miller. I brought my car in for warranty work - as the Elantra's light housings are known for collecting condensation. One side was approved- but the other tail light was denied due to external damage - which occurred while the car was in their service department. The delivery pictures show no damage - and then suddenly there's broken lip on the tail light they inspected. Manager Miles Miller denied the photo evidence and was extremely rude about it. The pictures don't lie - but Miles Miller does. He said he "can't tell" - so I'd have to prove it did happen While I agree they took a low quality picture - the damage would still show if it was there. The complete lack of responsibility to cover work that is under warranty and deny damage which they caused during inspection - is about as low as it gets. This experience and the attitude from this manager has absolutely ended my plans to buy another Hyundai - and I would never return to Jerry V for service when they break more than they fix. (but the service manager Lei has always been the reason I went there - so sorry Lei - always felt you gave 5star customer service) read more

Called 2 days ago to check on my car license plates and spoke to Lei Tanuvasa about the problems we are having to get our license plates and it is pass due the date it is supposed to be in! She informed us she gave them the license plates and will check and get back to us on why they couldn't find it and will make sure to call us back and get us the license plate, she was very apologetic and sorry that we have to go through all the hassle and wasted time and gas and offered to fill our gas tank when we come to get our license plates. I've lost count of how many times I've called for the status of the registration only to be informed the problem is the State of Hawaii's DMV system being backed logged. Recently got a vehicle from here. First to start the trade in a had wasn't in great shape and gave me a value for it. Come back text day to talk numbers on a specific vehicle I was interested and then they're giving a lower amount for the trade in. Said it was never talked about unless I can prove it. Still went ahead with the process. Next was talked to (not by the sales man. He was absolutely great and helping me) by the owner or manager making it seem like I wasn't understanding anything. Went ahead and got the car after being explained and shown they did an inspection and serviced the used vehicle. Month and a half goes by (maybe drove 1-2k miles tops) and I need to get my front tires replaced. Go in to see what's up since I just purchased the vehicle and have tires for life. Didn't get much help but got told half off because of tires for life. Asked when was the cars alignment done since that explained that it's been serviced prior to purchase and no one could give me an answer. Talked to one of the managers about it said they do an alignment every time with purchase of new tires so went ahead took the L on the tires but had to wait for the tires to come in to replace them. Didn't get a call back every so over a month goes by I call and they say oh they got here we just didn't reach out. My significant other takes my car in to get the tires replaced and they say oh that's an extra fee to do the alignment. Manager was supposed to call me back so we can talk after he said they'll do an alignment with the new tires but hasn't reached back out yet. Also within the few months of owning the car the car has already gave me a message to service to car. All and all thought the first time I got a car from a dealership would be a a pleasant experience but wasn't the greatest for me. read more

My experience with Jerry V was abysmal. They wanted to charge me a second diagnostic fee for the same problem. They replaced a part in my car and told me "yeah sorry it didn't fix the issue but to continue diagnosing, we will need another $235". What??? (I got my diagnostic papers back and they actually state that after replacing the new part, the car's misfiring problem got worse) So I cut my losses and ask if I could sell my car to the dealership. They're very enthusiastic and give me an initial quote of $5k and assure me that they buy cars "of all different conditions, running or not". I go in, interested in trading in my car but the first car I test drove, had a broken visor clip, a broken volume knob, a dirty cup holder, and it smelled like someone went to the beach and the seats never dried properly. I respectfully decline buying any car from a dealership that would even think to show me a car in this condition. I express my concerns and a Mark said "oh so the issue you have with the car is aesthetics? Did you actually want to buy a car today or you wanted to drive it around for fun?" Classy. I call back a couple days later because I would like to still sell my car. They tell me, we can't buy it but you can trade it in. I say no. The sales dept calls me and says actually we have an offer for you! We will call you back with numbers. I say awesome! I get another call saying that the sales manager actually doesn't want to buy my car. I say damn. Last call, they tell me "let me transfer you to Uncle Mike". He tells me straight up, they do not want to buy my car. Finally, a proper answer. It only took about 5 hours of my time, many call backs since their phones kept hanging up on me, and so much miscommunication from all departments. I won't tell anyone to avoid this dealership since I understand we all are trying to make a living, and some of the people I talked to were quite sweet and seemed like they genuinely wanted to help me. **Warning About Hyundai Nimitz Service Department** I had a frustrating experience due to their misinformation about proof of insurance for a safety check. The service department insists that the only acceptable proof is a "downloaded app from the insurance company" (e.g., Geico App). However, according to the City & County's rules, an emailed copy from the insurance company is also valid. You do *not* need to have a downloaded app on your phone. I advised the manager of this and showed them the official regulations, but they refused to accept my emailed digital ID card from Geico. They insisted I must download the app, which is unnecessary and a waste of time. When I asked what to do if someone doesn't have an iPhone, the staff responded, "Everyone has an iPhone," which is simply not true. **Advice:** Avoid Jerry V Hyundai Service Department to prevent unnecessary hassle and wasted time. read more

I had a positive experience at the time of purchase/lease and left a great Google review. The service department however needs improvement. Both the sales rep and the dealerships "Drive Sure Benefits" plan suggest a 6 month vehicle check up. First service rep agreed to do the check up even though she found it unusual given my car is electric with very low miles. Upon arrival the second service rep refused to do any inspection without a paid service. She refused to believe my report of what the first rep had stated. No inspection. I hadn't even refused to pay something. A wasted trip with an attitude far fro "the customer is always right". The sales rep graciously apologized but I had no beef with him as the first service rep had agreed to do the inspection and scheduled the appointment. I am editing the review and adding a star as Lei the service manager called to apologize and explain that drive sure benefits don't apply to electric vehicles notwithstanding the sticker on my windshield and that they should have performed a complimentary inspection. Lei was quite knowledgable and customer centric. I can see why she is the manager. read more

I would give it a 0 but I can't, see letter drafted to Jerry himself regarding my experience. Aloha Jerry, I purchase a used Hyundai from your Kia dealership on Nimitz from Dustin Loesche in 08/25. Registration and safety check would expire 09/25. We made a deal with sales manger to renew tags and he would notify me when ready. I initially was told to come back for a failed safety check in order for registration to be completed. I did this and sales manager said he would notify me when updated tags were available. I emailed him on multiple occasions and finally received a partially paid registration and told to go to satellite city hall to collect my safety check. Personnel at satellite city hall told me I would have to pay remainder of registration which was $278 and to hot get my own safety check. I have already received a citation for expired tags. I have reached out to the sales manager with concerns and am still being ignored. I have reached out to action line and if not addressed soon, I will reach out to the better business bureau. Got my first brand new car and it was such a great experience! We are so happy with our purchase! You can't beat the warranty and the extra Bells and whistles this place has to offer for the value. We were first initially going for the brand 2023 Kia but it was so basic for the price we wanted to pay. Hyundai offered way more for the value and had inventory so we could actually test drive right away. A lot of car dealerships we visited didn't have any new cars for us to see. Dealership marks a $24,000 car up to $28,000 then claims it's giving you all kinds of discounts only to get right back to the same amount or more! $4,000, that you'll never get back, for a 3 year lease and your payment is almost $400 for a Hyundai? That's not affordable! Even better how about a car that's 2 years old $4,000 down $350 a month for 78 months! You end up paying $30,000 for a used car who's MSRP is $24,665.00 Are you telling me there are people who can afford this?
