He is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely cares about making sure you're comfortable and informed every step of the way. He never once made me feel pressured, and instead made the entire process feel easy, smooth, and actually enjoyable. He took the time to answer every question thoroughly and made sure we felt confident in our decision -- which says a lot. I also have to give a huge shoutout to the sales manager, Gi, who was just as phenomenal. You can tell immediately that he runs a great team. I give Kiet a 2.5 stars. As a business owner, I don't have time to waste. I had a goal of purchasing a car that day as I have other obligations to attend to. I let them know I rented a car for only 1 day and that I need to return the car by 2:30pm. I asked him to give me their best number on a new 2025 Sorento because I don't have time to waste and that number will determine if I buy or not. They didn't listen and so I left to go to Honda. While I was at Honda, Kiet text me that he spoke with his manager and they will agree to my number. I was happy but frustrated because they didn't hear me when I said I don't have time to waste. So I left Honda to extend my rental car another day. Since we wasted so much time, I took my son to grab a late lunch before purchasing the car. After lunch I had the clarity of mind that since I extended my car rental; that I don't have to rush now since I had already rescheduled my viewings with my real estate agent. It was a blessing in disguise because I ended up going to a few more dealerships and landed at Jerry V's just down the street. I told them the same thing I told Kiet. I don't have time, and I asked, if you can give me this SUV for this price out the door, I will buy it right now. The manager came out to speak to me directly and asked if I had any wiggle room. I said no. As a result, I was able to buy my son a brand new 2026 Santa Fe with black leather interior for the same price cash out the door for what I would have paid for on the 2025 Sorento. So lesson for all, not every set back is a bad thing. At least the nightmare is over. It took almost two months for a simple fix. When I first brought my Kia in, I was told after a lengthy 5-hour wait in the lounge that they didnt have the part and that it'd take 3 weeks for it to arrive. Later, I went down to the Aloha KIA pre-owned lot and was able to speak with Kiet after a wait (he was with another customer). I was transparent with Kiet, he was transparent with me, I felt like we understood where we were both coming from. We had another car being serviced that we were willing to trade in, so Kiet and I went to the next door lot so he could assess the trade in value. I appreciated that he was upfront that the car I was buying did not come with a spare. As far as what happened, we decided to get the car. I disliked that emailing a day later to confirm the name of something took an extra day to get back to me. Terrible customer service, condescending and unhelpful staff (especially some of those on the management), and just a waste of time. I purchased a vehicle from this dealership. It was not too long ago, and I had needed the car looked at for what I deemed was a minor issue at the time but wanted it looked at anyways since it was still well within the warranty. Prior to the appointment, I had tried calling the dealership multiple times but they are hard to reach. Finally, they answered after weeks, so I booked an appointment and was told it would be about a month from the time of the call. When I had gotten there, they checked me in and took my car to be looked at. Nearly 4 hours after my SCHEDULED appointment time, I inquired if they were nearly done or had even looked at my vehicle. I was met with a very confused, "which one was your car? I think we forgot about it." How could you folks forget about a car that an appointment was scheduled for??? What is the point of booking an appointment and checking in early, just to have my vehicle forgotten 4 hours after my appointment time? When I was approached and spoken to by a supervisor or manager, he was not helpful either and was just rude -- he told told me I could just take the car and go and not have it looked at. If you can't handle taking care of cars, then don't even bother letting people schedule an appointment and waste their times. Very disappointing. I will not get a KIA after this which is a bummer since I do like my car. It feels like the warranty is just fluff and practically nonexistent. TL:DR; 1 Star for the Service department (More so their troubleshooting steps to resolve an issue), 1 Star for the difficulty of making a simple appointment (it's easier to make an appointment at an Apple Store than it is to get on the phone with a live person or make an appointment here), and 5 Star for the Parts department. Details below. The one issue I do not like about the Service department is the need to run diagnostics and charge you that fee no matter what. My issue is not with the people there because they were very friendly and helpful; my issue is with the company's standards of charging for a diagnostic for something that doesn't need it. I went in today knowing there was an issue with the brake lights not turning off. Typically, that tells you that the problem is either the rubber stopper between the brake light switch and the brake pedal broke, or the brake light switch itself needs to be replaced. Because the diagnostic is mandatory, it costs $205, up ~$60 from what it used to cost, just for them to look at your vehicle. It's a mandatory step and a quick way for the service department to make a buck off of you. Now, just for the sake of running numbers, the rubber stopper is less than $3, and the brake light switch is less than $41. Here's the issue: after going home and finding out that the rubber stopper broke and the pieces were on the ground, I would probably have spent over $240 just for a $3 rubber stopper IF I had checked in my vehicle to be looked at. Tell me, how does a mandatory diagnostic justify a $3 part? After finding the broken rubber stopper, I called Kia's Parts department, and I have the part coming in next week. Until the part comes in, I picked up a cabinet rubber bumper from Home Depot as a temporary solution. My suggestion? Please don't assert a mandatory diagnostic for problems that don't need it. Troubleshooting steps like these are reasons why I suggest to others to visit other repair shops. Just do an honest job and not try to charge your customer base for every little unnecessary thing. 3/17/26: UPDATE ON SERVICE -- Z E R O STARS. It's been impossible to schedule an appointment! I tried scheduling an appointment online but couldn't because my problem did not apply to anything on their list. Even though there's a box to enter what the problem is, it would say "No capacity" and I could not go any further so I had to call. For over one week, I called several different phone numbers several times a day, left messages which no one returned my call and even tried to schedule an appointment through their Chat who just said they would relay the request to their service department and someone would get back to me. After a couple of days of not hearing from anyone, I decided to drive to the airport location was finally able to get an appointment. Even though my car is fairly good and was very affordable, I will never buy another Kia! I would rather pay more for a car and not have to deal with constant problems getting it serviced. read more

My initial experience at Aloha Kia was fine, purchasing my 2022 Kia Soul new. My recent experience, however, has trashed whatever good feelings I once had. My car needed service so in July I took the soonest appointment available - in November! A ridiculous and unacceptable amount of time to wait. But then my car began stalling, totally losing power each time. After a few days of this it died completely yesterday and would not start again. (And reading online reviews I discovered that this is common for Kia vehicles.) I called AAA for a tow, then called Aloha Kia to let them know I was coming with my non-functioning car. There was no answer so I left a message. On arrival via the tow truck I was informed by a service guy that they would give me zero assistance, as they only do work by appointment. In anger I asked what I was supposed to do with a dead car for the next two months till my appointment and he said I would have to just tow it to my house. So now I am forced to take my currently-unusable car to an independent repair company and pay for the repairs - even though my car is still under warranty - or have no transportation for two months. This very negative review now joins the MANY other similar ones on Yelp for this shoddy dealership. I wonder if anyone in the national Kia organization is aware of this terrible customer service and the damage it's doing to the brand's reputation - not that they'd necessarily do anything about it, which they probably wouldn't. Late post but feel you all need to know the kind of experience I have had with ALOHA KIA. NO STARS FOR REVIEW. On Jan 28th 2025 my 2016 KIA SEDONA was towed to ALOHA KIA NIMITZ. My vehicle stalled on me MID WAY on the freeway heading home, my check engine light came on and vehicle started to desilorate, I pressed on the gas nothing it just was stalling i had to pull my vehicle over, They couldn't look at my vehicle for two weeks they said they're back up or I get a no technician to look at it. When the technical looked at it my starter was faulty and needed my fuel injector replacement because that to was faulty. My fuel injector was on back order for about 2-3m so they couldn't fix my vehicle until that part comes in. I also ask them to look at my cooling fan because it will stay on and kill the battery on my vehicle. I told the technical prior to this issue when I brought my vehicle in and spent 800 something dollars on the coolant hose replacement but the issue wasn't resolved. They finally fixed that problem when fixing that problem they found another issue with my ac tension belt lose as well. I asked for an update and this what I get. May 24th: Sorry Paisi. It's been a hectic week. I'm loosing my mind... As for your vehicle. Technician had started working on it from Thursday and he will returning on Memorial day to finish up. Vehicle will be ready for pick up on Tuesday. I'm still working on the final numbers. The math is not mathing, I need to talk with parts dept when they return on Tuesday to work out the final numbers. On Tue May 28th I went to see if my vehicle was ready for pick up, when I got there the JACKSON he is the service manager told me I need to purchase a tire my sales advisor didn't tell me that. So I told JACK yes I'll get the tire, he told me it will take 30m but instead it took 4hrs because my tire was at ALOHA KIA WAIPAHU, also the plastic on the right side by the tire and under the front of my vehicle was hanging they didn't put the pins back in so I told them about that a tech fixed it and paid a little over $500 take my vehicle home my left blinker was going crazy though my light was out so ill fix it but the technician didnt plug WIRE IN. The next day I noticed on the left side in the front of my vehicle the plastic is hanging they didnt put the pins in. I opened the hood to find my cover that covers my RADATOR MISSING it was all there when I had the car towed into ALOHA KIA NIMITZ. So attached are photos of the cover missing and the plug unplugged I plugged it in myself, and the right front plastic hanging oh and found screws under the hood, also by the windshield whipers. By far the worst experience I have had at aloha KIA like the service department rushed my vehicle when parts came in. This is unacceptable. Every step of the way has been filled with headaches, missed deadlines, and blatant lies from the staff. We were told the detailing was finished two weeks ago, and they were waiting on new tires. Then we were told the wrong tires had been ordered, causing another delay. After being assured we could pick up the truck once the correct tires arrived (this point we were promised 3 deadlines), we waited again--only to be told after the tires came in that the detailing wasn't even done yet. So which is it? We've called countless times, been bounced between multiple staff members, and none of them seem to have a clue what's going on. Every time we speak to someone new, we're told something different. The lack of communication and professionalism is staggering. This was supposed to be a happy milestone--finally getting a work truck for my husband. Instead, it's been weeks of stress, frustration, and lies. Not a single person has taken ownership or offered a real solution. Everyone just shrugs and agrees it's "ridiculous" we've had to wait this long. I worked with two different salesmen (they even sent in another one to "seal the deal"), and they quoted me an out-the-door price that I agreed to. Based on their word, I allowed them to pull my credit and start the purchase process. However, when I reviewed the paperwork (after they had already pulled my credit), I realized the out-the-door price they gave me wasn't accurate--it was higher than what they initially told me. I should've done this a long time ago but it's just been so exhausting that I haven't taken the time. I bought my brand new Kia from this location in 2022. Within a few months of getting my new car, my vehicle was in the service department permanently for a month. Lots of trouble shooting. Lots of 'were unable to duplicate' prior to and during that time. Ultimately my brand new vehicle had to have its entire transmission replaced. Over the following few years I had just a few encounters due to minor issues since they never seemed to be able to duplicate so I stopped going. A few months ago one of my tail lights stopped working. I took it to Firestone and they took one look at it and said it was LED so I'd have to take it to the dealer. I called the dealer to make an appt for it and also called several times to see if they could verify if it was LED or bulb, so I could make sure they had the part they needed. The couldn't tell me what it was. Even though id bought the car there. I talked to 3 people and no help. So the day came I brought my car in. I asked again. Guy went out and looked and said he couldn't tell so he checked with the computer and a coworker. They were certain it was bulb. I left my vehicle for that 8:30am appt, being told just a few hours to change the bulb. I called back 4 hours later after no one called me to finally reach a manager who said they were sorry, it was actually LED and they don't have the part. They figured it out a few hours prior but no one had called me. They ordered the part to replace and I took my vehicle in a few weeks later to finally have it done. After I took the car home I noticed there was a 'garnish' piece missing down the center of the new light. I called and they didn't have it. Had to reorder. No apologies. 2 more weeks and it finally came in. I said I'd put it on myself instead of leaving my car all day for this 5 min job. Went a few days later and they had to look for about 20 mins to find the part. It had been put under someone's computer. I went home to put it on and they'd gotten the wrong one. The one I got was for the left side and I need it for the right. There have been many more instances of issues I've had. These are just a few. And unfortunately a good friend has had very similar experiences at the Leeward Kia. It's been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. The only 'fix' I e been offered is to purchase an extended warranty in case more things happen. But that doesn't help if the service center is and has been incompetent for the 3 years we've had our vehicle. read more

I don't care about brands but safety...extra strength in the body frames, cameras, and engine dropping in a front end collision, not in your lap. That's more for my buck than luxury...practical wise. However, there are some luxury items that come with a new 2021 Sorento like 360 cameras cathedral sun roof, heated seats and Bose speakers to mention a few. The customer service manager Jack personally took a look at my tires and found a small piece of metal in one that was originally missed and a screw in the other. He even gave me a discount on the tire repairs. I've never paid for a tire repair for any of my other cars, but this was my first Kia. Michael the sales manager really went beyond the call. I called them on an off day, but he listened to my issues and made sure someone followed up with me. When I came in for my tire issue, he remembered the issue I previously had with my key and went out of his way to track me down and took care of the issue. To be honest I was a little worried seeing the negative reviews about this place prior to taking my car in for recall work and AC occasionally not working. The process to get the appointment through the app was a little frustrating as there weren't many days open depending on what options you picked but that might not be under their control since it looks like a corporate controlled app. But once that was set up, the reminders via text and email were nice (though a call back that was requested never came). Checked in the car a little before the appointment time and everyone was very pleasant and helpful. My service agent, Charlo, came out not too long after checking in and went over the service request. This is the part that was a pleasant surprise. He explained what they were going to do and even gave an estimate of how long it would take. He then asked if I needed a shuttle to work or home (which wasn't available on the app) which was even better. The last car I had (not a Kia) when these kind of problems came about, the service tech often just brushed off the issues brought up (half the time, they never seen the problem so couldn't fix it, only for the problem to return not long after taking it in). Here, they were actually going to diagnose it and try to see if they could find the same issue. Charlo called within the estimated time for the service and scheduled for the shuttle to bring me back. The courtesy shuttle drivers were both nice and tried to be as accommodating as they can (looks like they were service techs as the usual driver was out today). On return, he was busy with another customer but the checkin desk went over what was done and what the next steps are. While I do have to come back, I'm hopeful the experience was as smooth as this one. Some areas for improvement would be to make it clearer where you need to go for the service. The signs don't really tell you where to go, and because there are a lot of cars that could be serviced, you're not quite sure that's where you're supposed to leave the vehicle (basically you're double parking in the lot). The courtesy shuttle service is great, but the particular shuttle I had was a bit dirty and had a weird smell; but I can understand this might be difficult to control depending on what they had available and who is taking the shuttle. In all, Charlo made this service experience great and hoping ones in the future can be this smooth. read more

Honestly wouldn't even give a one star. The only good thing about my experience was with the guys who do the servicing department in the back. My rep was Senichi and at first thinking everything was going good but soon as things were signed all of a sudden waiting for the license and registration sticker with it instead of 2 weeks took more than 4 months. Couldn't get a hold of him, no return calls or emails and it was a back and forth with managers trying to get ahold of them and a bull excuse when I did as to the paper must of got lost in the mail and me having to show up at the shop more than once because no one would contact me back. At some point debated on getting a lawyer involved after I was pulled over by hpd with no license plate and expired temp registration. Don't do it! If I could give NEGATIVE stars I would. Took my BRAND new Kia Carnival in at the beginning of Nov. due to rat damage. They "attempted" to fix it once and the problems still persisted. After months of waiting and barely any contact with insurance or ourselves they "found" the problem and ordered more parts. It's the end of April and I just got my van back. There is sun damage around the window trim, fallout from the airplanes, a scratch with paint missing on the front bumper and underneath the door handle, a hole at the top of my steering wheel, and was dirty both inside and out. I'm currently in contact with my insurance again bc like I said it was a brand new car!!! DO NOT GO HERE if you can avoid it. read more

I informed him what happened and without hesitation he stopped what he was doing on his day off and told me to send my location and he will be there in 20minutes. I was nervous because people say a lot of things and never follow through but no this man arrived. He checked out my car and told me to let's drive it to Kia and he will be right behind me and sure enough he did that. I got to Kia save and checked in my car. I asked him where was the closest rental place because he said they don't have any cars available and the service center was closed. He then went out of his way and drove me and my granddaughter around looking for a rental car place but most of them were closed so he drove me to the airport where I got a car. If wasn't for his great customer service I would have been stuck because I have no one to call. Yes I could have called a tow truck but he saved me money. He is a great person and I wanted to inform you that he goes on and beyond to bring this company great customer service. I am forever grateful for this man. He deserves to be acknowledge for the hard work and dedication he brings to Kia. You have a great manager working for you and I hope you notice that. I worked with Kiet to lease a 2025 Kia Sportage. I love the vehicle and the entire staff could not have been nicer.

I had been trying to schedule service for my Kia but could not seem to get someone on the phone to schedule. I figured I was calling on a busy day so I used their chat service on their website to schedule instead since it did appear to connect me directly to a live person, "Lani". I was told in the chat by Lani that someone would be calling me to set up my service appointment. 2 weeks go by and no response yet, so I try to call but again struggle to get someone to talk to on the phone and have to go back to their chat service. I am told that they apologize for the wait and that someone will call me back this time. I asked if there is an ETA of when I could expect a call back, but was told they couldn't tell me that. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited. Yet another 2 weeks passed and still I haven't received a call back. I message again in the chat expressing my frustration and receive another apology and am told a manager will call me back this time but they still cannot give me an ETA of when that will be. Another week passes and I am too frustrated to try the chat again and so I try calling again and somehow managed to finally get someone on the phone to talk to and set up my appointment. I am not typically one to leave a negative review and always try to give the business some leeway, but this experience caused me 6 weeks of follow-up and waiting to finally get an appointment. read more

Saw a car I was interested in. Used their chat to ask which dealership had the car. Did not get an answer--was asked to provide personal information and then they would get back to me. I provided no information but they addressed me by name in the response. Sweet! Guess I need a VPN. Red flag #1. Agreed to meet the salesman at the Airport dealership. Once there, he finally told us the desired car was at the Windward dealership. We live in Kailua. We took a 40-minute drive each way to NOT see a car that is 10 minutes from the house. Red flag #2. Agreed to drive similar car. Was told the trade in I had driven to the dealership had "negative value" but they would "take it off my hands" for free and we should be grateful. Red flag #3. Asked to make offer on desired car. Made offer. Their "counteroffer": dealer's list price, PLUS $1295 for what amounts to a Kia-branded AirTag for the car. They had installed a tracker in the car, had not listed it in the sticker price, but were going to charge extra for it. Red flag #4. We walked. One hour after leaving the dealership, the automated text messages started. read more
