Worked real hard to get a loan approved. Unfortunately vehicle approved didn't meet criteria

I filed a police report against this "business" that acted illegally. They did not like that I parked there and instead of doing things the legal was like towing/police (which isn't registered with the police and they can't legally tow anyways) they blocked me in and demanded cash. They threatened me. They tried to intimidate me physically. They yelled about "what it is like here" and even made light of the fact I was returning from a funeral. They are simply unprofessional and do not know the law and try to enforce things through theft and implied threat of violence. Nobody should support this abomination of a business. I will see them in court, first time I am ever suing someone. They are simply sick people. Twisted. Additionally, towing companies are legally required to accept credit/debit, which they did not which was their reasoning for not towing/citing due to th whole property being a tow yard. If it's a tow yard, obey towing rules and accept credit/debit. read more

It's been almost 3 weeks since I got my car from Lane Auto Group & I finally have the time to write my review.. I've been turned down numerous times and almost gave up looking for cars. After looking on yelp and seeing good reviews, I decided to call and inquire. My first intention was to do in house financing, since I was unable to get a loan at other dealerships.. When I arrived, I was greeted by Kawika and told him my plan to in house finance and what kind of car I was looking for. He had me fill out an application and I waited for a response.. within 20 minutes he had me test drive a car. After I came back, he asked me how I liked it and had the best news ever. He told me that he was able to find a bank that I could get a loan with. He expressed how he really wanted to help me get with a bank to build my credit. BUYER BEWARE. My elderly mother with the help of a friend went to the John Lane Auto Group last Novermber 2019. To survey purchasing a used auto. Somehow she was swayed into buying a 2012 Ford Fusion Hybrid. In early September 2020 - 10 months later, ABS brake system completely failed which fortunately she did not get hurt. Analysizing codes derived from two independent assessments both pointed to this brake failure which only could be repaired by a Ford dealer. At considerable expense due to its "hybrid" nature. This could have been a disaster for my mom. It was not lack of "brake fluid". Besides, an elderly woman should not be driving a "hybrid". In addition, she was overcharged in price, not informed about the operations of a hybrid, and not given a copy of the bill of sale. This deal was a piece of shit and a shameful way to take advantage of an elderly woman. You are strongly urged to never go to the Lane Auto Group. Buyer beware because you will buy vehicle "AS IS".
