I am giving a 1 Star Review to Bobby Gibbs at Edward Jones based on how my account was handled. I…read morewas recommended by a friend to try Edward Jones in Kapolei. His Rep was Kevin but I wanted to give Bobby a chance to earn my business. I had funds at Fidelity and Charles Swab and was looking to move my Fidelity account with someone closer to home. I made an appointment with Bobby Gibbs and we talked about what I was looking for. I wanted to mirror what I had at Fidelity and have my new accounts at Edward Jones be the same and then make changes later. On our second meeting, he had a selection of funds for my Traditional IRA he wanted me to invest in. I went with his recommendations. As soon as my funds went into these funds/stocks everything began to drop rapidly. I was disappointed because he is the expert. The drop continued for months. I wanted to open a Sep IRA account, instead he opened a Roth IRA. I wanted to switch to a CD and told him I would take a loss. He said he would watch it daily but never called me to let me know when the stock would go up. There were times when I could have lost much less if he would have called me or acted on it. The opportunity came and went. I finally had to go back into the office and insist he moves everything into a CD. I had lost trust in him. Some of the information he gave me was inaccurate. I visited his office several times relay my discontent but he never caught on that i wanted to sell. He does not act or respond quickly on my interests. In the end, I could no longer reward him with caring for my account. My mistake was I trusted Bobby. I should have transferred my Fidelity account to my Charles Swab account and never bothered with Edward Jones. Don't make the same mistakes I have made. If Bobby is handling your account make sure it's what you want and not something he recommends because, in today's economy, his strategy is a Big Mistake. He even closed my account while my fund was not completely transferred. I received emails with notifications of new documents, but I was not able to access them because he locked me out. "Update" I received a letter from Edward Jones Corp with their finding, which was as expected. They said they went by his notes. The truth is Bobby and I had talked for over 72 hours in regard to my account. Edward Jones never reached out to me. They performed a mild review of my account and are wrong in their findings that Bobby Gibbs did not misrepresent my needs as an Edward Jones Client. My advise, you would be more successful using Chat GBT. Don't make the same mistake I made, trusting Bobby Gibbs. If you do, you will be disappointed. The good news, no thanks to Bobby, I was able to recover my losses with the help of a friend and Chat GBT.* Save your money and go to Charles Swab
