At first, I was worried about the service I was going to receive when I bought my Range Rover but was only amazed at how well everything went. When I first drove up to the service area for my appointment, I was greeted by the valet and directed to my service advisor, Conrad Belmes. This guy was super cool. He listened to all the issues I was having with my vehicle and had me taken to work with shuttle driver, Al. Al's friendly and kind character made the ride to work delightful. While at work, Conrad called me to let me know that my vehicle was going to take longer than a day to repair. He set me up in a nice Jaguar that I drove for four days before my car was ready. We were warned by a friend who has purchased Lamborghini's & Ferraris as well as Land Rovers from this place that the service was poor but we bought a Range Rover Supercharged anyway. I am sad to report but its true. Service is POOR! SALES was great of course to get you to buy the car but since our experience with service and parts is terrible. They don't return calls (Service Manager!). We waited weeks and made reservations for a loaner to put my wife's car in and when she got there today they gave her loaner to someone else. They said it was an emergency. I said well rent them a car I had a reservation! The first time service had it they were supposed to wash it and they returned it filthy dirty. I was searching for a license plate cover for my Jaguar XF so I headed to Velocity one Saturday morning and upon arrival was greeted by a friendly smile from concierge Chien. She immediately asked how she could help me and after I explained what I was needing she promptly escorted me to the 2nd floor parts dept. via the elevator. Chien remained with me until my needs were met and then walked me back down to the lobby and handed me a bottled water on my way out. I could tell that customer service is a top priority for them. Having worked in the NFL for a top notch organization on the mainland and also as a human resources executive in the hospitality industry for many years I am always observing and grading the level of customer service of the places I frequent. The new building is big and fancy with restaurants, coffee bar, wine bar, and shops. If you're coming here to have your Land Rover/ Range Rover serviced your going to turn into the driveway and go to the end and turn right going up the ramp into the garage and follow the signs. I traded in my older Ferrari for the F-Type SVR convertible and I could not be happier with my choice. I received VIP treatment from all of the staff, and the facility is really something to see. Made an appointment online to check out the Land Rover Discovery sport. There's valet service and a person from the valet area escorted us to the Land Rover section while giving a mini tour of the velocity showroom. Sergio was the brand specialist that sat down with us to learn about what we were looking for and talked about the different options and trim levels that were available. Took a test drive to their vehicle storage area where Sergio showed us a number of models in different colors, trims, and interiors, and demonstrated some of the available features. We decided on a car and drove back to velocity to work out the financing. Sergio was not pushy at all and was able to get us a great deal. Ron, the finance guy, was also great to work with. The car was not ready to drive off the lot, so we made arrangements to pick it up the following weekend. The next week I got a text from Sergio 2 days earlier than expected with pictures of the car saying it was ready to pick up! When we got there, he showed us in detail how all the features worked and helped us set up the Land Rover remote app for our phones, even though it was way past his normal work hours. The team at Velocity transformed their showroom into Kapiolani's Grand Prix Soiree, a racing theme fundraiser. The staff was incredible to work with throughout the entire planning process and very accommodating to all our requests and provided us with recommendations for maximizing the venue. We had support from the operations and marketing teams throughout the entire planning and execution process. The unique space provided ample space for cocktail hour, seating for dinner on two levels and a dance floor. The location is perfect! We were looking for a venue outside of Waikiki and something nontraditional. The valet parking service made it easy for guests to enter and exit the event quickly. There were small details like using some of the cars in the cocktail hour space and changing the exterior color of the building that really made the venue stand out. Brad and his team at Velocity are fabulous to work with and continue to generously support our not-for-profit mission through our philanthropic partnership. I can't say enough good words. My fiancée wanted a Range Rover as a pre-wedding gift. As a surprise, I took her car shopping a few weeks ago. I seriously question the honesty and integrity of this company. I was made promises for hours and then after wasting my day I was told that they made a mistake and didn't actually know what they were talking about so the offers were no longer gong to be applied. I would never buy a car from them after my recent experience with Eric at Jaguar. I really feel like this company jerked me around and wasted my time on numerous occasion. This is why we need more competition in the islands to stop this sub standard treatment in what should be a luxury car purchase experience and service. The way I was treated by Eric does not reflect this industries standards and Jaguar USA has done nothing about it so I no longer support this local dealership or Jaguar USA, the brand.
