Spacious interior with plenty of tables as well as seats at the bar. We sat at the bar, and the bartender (Chrissy) was super friendly and also a fellow teacher! The beer was good with one standout - the Kalapa which is a coconut milk stout on nitro which was absolutely delicious. I'm a big fan of German beers and Germany in general, so it was also nice to see they had quite a few German style beers on tap as well. We live an hour away so I can't say we'll be back anytime soon, but it was a very nice place to spend a few hours and can definitely recommend it to other beer lovers.

If you headed over on a night with trivia arrive early. The parking lot is small and once it fills up there isn't anywhere else to park. They do offer a significant discount on your first drink if you uber over because of this issue which is a nice spin.

On a Sunday night, we were surprised to see so many people enjoying the evening. This place is popular with folks enjoying time with their family and friends and it even looked like a couple of small celebrations were taking place, which made our hearts happy. We enjoyed a flight and chose the Rustle dunkel, Tightrope schwarzbier, Resting Grinch face winter warmer, and the Boo-Yah porter. Loved them all and they have much more on tap, including hard seltzers as gluten-free options. Play a board game, watch sports on their TV, bring your own food, shoot some darts, and do a toast to what a wonderful year 2024 has been! The server wasn't too friendly, but it's all good brother. I had a Hazy IPA while enjoying some food from one of the restaurants within the market. They recently acquired MD brewery DuClaw as well and continue to brew their beers and distribute under the same name. They distribute widely across NJ, PA, NY so it's pretty easy to find at liquor stores and restaurants, and I've had their beers many times over the years. Their beer is pretty solid with some fun and inventive offerings. My girlfriend and I stopped into their taproom for the first time on a Sunday afternoon and it was quite possibly the worst taproom we've ever been to out of 80+ NJ breweries we have visited together. It looks like they concentrate all of their time and effort on production and distribution and have not spent any time creating a decent place to hang out. Almost no decor. All plastic cups (a personal pet peeve of mine in breweries). Not even a permanent bar of any kind. There were only four other people the whole time we were there so the atmosphere was pretty dead. We ordered flights, and the names of the beers were written in abbreviations right on the cups which made it impossible to read on the darker beers. But the beer was very good! We really enjoyed our flights and bought a six pack of the imperial pumpkin ale to bring home with us. We'll continue to drink their beer, but I don't recommend coming to the taproom at all.

I brought Drusband for my birthday and the next week I brought my 2 best friends. Each time it lives up to the hype due to the friendliness of the staff and the tastiness of the beer. I was extra delighted last Sunday when I met up with my besties on their way back from PA to their home in Long Island. There's nothing my friends love more than books and beer so to finally be at the place where I enjoy both was very nice. They brought their 11yo daughter who also had a good time. It seemed like half of book club was there too lol which to me says a lot about this place - people CHOOSE to come here even when they don't "have" to. Special shout to owner Billy and bartender Nicole. I am typically quite introverted and due in part to them and others they work with I feel quite at home and talkative. I love it here!
