Five Four Bar & Grill has a large U shaped bar, stage for live bands, pool tables, booth seating, table seating and an area to have a catered event in a private room. They can hold 20-500 people for private events according to their website. The inside is dark and could use a bit of a refresh, but I wouldn't say it's close to the level of dive. It's certainly on the larger side compared to most bars in the area. The staff has always been nice, but service can get slow when the crowd size grows. Just the nature of things. Food wise the menu has a typical mix of pub grub - apps, soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers and several entrees. A friend was eating their jumbo Buffalo Shrimp off the starter menu and raved about them. I stuck to a Cheesesteak which was average but a deal at $9.50 -- the chopped steak was decent, cheese was good just needed a bit more. Hot peppers gave it some kick and the long roll was fresh. Their beer menu has around a dozen beers on tap. They dabble in more mainstream big beer/craft beer like your Goose Island IPA's/Lagunitas IPA, but do have a decent show of locals like Yards, Victory, Troegs and Weyerbacher. Bourbon wise I had a Knob Creek neat which was average price wise. The pour was on the generous side. Each time I've been here the crowds have been friendly and having a good time. Awful service every time. Jasmine is by far one of the worst bartenders/servers I've ever had. She always has an attitude when serving my friends and I. A couple weeks ago she had the nerve to comment on my face in front of the entire table. She claimed that I "always give her dirty looks" and "always look so angry when I'm here". I was stunned and so embarrassed. For one, I don't know her personally, we have never had a conversation outside of her taking my order and quite frankly it's none of her business how my face looks anyway. Second of all how embarrassing is it to be called out in front of a bunch of people like that? I couldn't believe the words that came out of her mouth. Before I left I politely told her I didn't appreciate her calling me out like that and she got very defensive. Not an apology from her, she didn't care one bit. She started arguing with me and acting like I was overreacting and like she didn't do anything wrong. She should take a look at herself in the mirror and think twice before she speaks. The staff are all so wonderful, and the food is great! I recommend the BLT or Chicken Ceasar wrap with French Onion. The roast beef is also a great choice ( my husbands favorite) with cheese and a side of auju and horseradish - chefs kiss. The owner, Joe is one of a kind. He takes pride in making sure his employees are happy, attentive, he likes to keep empty plates off the table to guest do not have to sit with dirty and empty plates taking up room and he's a hands on owner. Joe personality wise is okay- but owner wise he will do literally anything to make sure you have an exceptional experience at "The five four bar and grill". The five four was on our list for a bit and the outdoor seating made it a possible option for our lunch during the COVID crisis. High tops as well as tables scattered about the patio area adorned with umbrellas to protect from the hot August sun. The staff was eager to please and our glasses were full at all times. Our food was served hot and promptly. Today's choices were chicken nachos that were large enough for a few, served on a pizza tray with salsa and sour cream on the sides. We live nearby and frequently go to The Five Four. They have about 8 tables outside where we typically sit as we are able to bring our dog. One of us usually pops in and let's them know we are outside (and we just order drinks then as well). They offer a good selection of beer and food. They always offer a bowl of water for our pup. They have pool tables inside, plenty of seating and typically have bands on the weekend and lots of tvs for watching sports. The beer is always cold. Everything I have ordered to eat is good. I really like the BLT. My most recent trip, I tried the Buffalo chicken tender wrap (team blue cheese so I switched out the ranch) and it so good. May be my new go to. The bar is massive and there is a ton of available parking, this business would be extremely successful if the waitstaff and bartenders weren't miserable. From the moment my group of friends and I arrived we were ignored, overcharged, and treated like a nuisance. If you're a non-smoking bar you shouldn't clear guests' drinks and plates if 1-2 of them step outside and the other 10-12 are there playing games. John and I were in the mood for a good burger and scanned the yelp reviews for a few local places - then decided on the Five Four. We arrived around 7pm on a Friday, and the place was crowded with folks working on wings. Desiring a booth, we seated ourselves in the only available ones remaining - on the far side of the pool tables. John ordered a plain burger with lettuce and tomato and I opted for a "Black and Bleu," which came with bacon and bleu cheese. Both plates came with fries. I wasn't drinking alcohol this evening, but noticed that there was a good choice of craft beers on tap and in bottles. Our burgers arrived. They were a generous size, on good quality rolls, however, I found the bacon and bleu topping a bit underwhelming. I could barely taste it. The burger itself was a bit on the greasy side and did not have a noticeable char on the outside. The fries started out crispy and hot. Unfortunately for us, we had some incredible bad timing on a cold night. About 10 feet from where we were seated, there was a back door/emergency door. Just as soon as our food arrived, a couple of musicians who were slated to play that evening began bringing their instruments and sound system into the restaurant, occasionally leaving the door open for minutes at a time. This door opened and closed at least a dozen and a half times, admitting a frigid blast each time. Within minutes, our fries were ice cold and the burgers became only lukewarm as we ate them - not helped by the cold lettuce and tomato on top of the meat. We, too, were chilled by unexpected polar wind. So, this was a rather uncomfortable dining experience. Just as we finished our meal, so did the musicians with their unloading. All we could do was chuckle at the timing! We realize that our less than enjoyable experience was an anomaly due to circumstances. Had we known that the disruption was going to be prolonged, we would have changed or seats. The Four Five is indeed a nice, clean, establishment with attractive and otherwise comfortable seating - and the service was absolutely fine. We'll have to give this one another try - and keep that door in mind if it is a cold night on a live music evening :) read more

The Five Four Bar & Grill takes its moniker from the local zip code for this part of Levittown, Pa. It is a fairly new house with large rooms for the bar, dining and even two pool tables for those so inclined. Friday and Saturday nights starting around 9:30 local bands rock the casbah. The crowd is a mix of ages and interests, but have found a neighborhood spot where everyone is welcome, the drinks are not expensive, and the kitchen turns out reasonable good bar food and a few higher end dinner specials. It is a non-smoking establishment. We sat in a booth near the green felt tables, a little distance from the bar, but close by the stage. We didn't mind when the pool cues invaded our space. We just moved the beer bottles and pint glasses to the other side. Sharing is caring. The Labatt Blue Draft was cold and refreshing, and the Coney Island Orange Vanilla Cider tasted like Brooklyn summer on the beach. The prices from the multi-paged beer list were surprisingly low, especially after patronizing some other bars up county. Dinner consisted of a Burger, Chicken Tender Wrap and Chicken Parm Sandwich. All came with crisped French Fries. They were all good, if not outstanding. The Plain Burger with Cheese, Lettuce, Onion and Tomato was on a decent fresh roll, and came out slightly beyond the Medium requested. Still good, but not memorable. The Wrap disappeared quietly without complaint, and my Parmesan was also tasty on another good roll and enough red gravy. None of these dishes were large, but given the price range, were more than enough for a light bite. Service was very friendly and prompt. We were satisfied, but did not understand why silverware was not provided for the meals without request. No biggie, but seemed odd. This place never disappoints! The food, atmosphere and staff bring us back week after week. The menu includes typical bar food with a twist (like their nachos served on a pizza tray!) as well as fresh seafood and pasta dishes. We come here for quick weekday dinners and Friday nights out. They have 2 bars and plenty of space to spread out. There is always something going on between open mic, karaoke, pool, darts, quizzo and more. Brittany, Jess, Ali and Jocelyn make everyone feel welcome while the security guards make everyone feel safe. We love The Five Four. read more

They looked a little short staffed but it didn't feel it at all. They were rocking and rolling. First impression of the menu was it was smaller. More of your generic pub food, apps sandwiches, wings, and small amount of actual dinner plates. Again, I expected it. I wasn't expected a long list of pasta dishes or anything. We ordered Jalapeño poppers and wings (sweet and spicy). Poppers seemed like frozen ones but didn't taste bad. Only got 5 of them, but they were good. Wings were pretty good, they weren't breaded or anything, which was nice. They were definitely fried but they were meaty and pretty big. Very clean pub and it reminded me of Cheers as the bartender greeted multiple arriving patrons by name and high fives as they were obviously regulars. Made me think of the line from the theme song "Where everybody knows your name, and they're always glad you came." I ordered a BLT and while it was good, it had a problem that most BLT sandwiches suffer from - not enough bacon. Still, it was a decent meal and the fries were fresh and crispy. Just as I like them. I'm so glad my school is next to the Five Four! Every Thursday night(sometimes more than just thursday) my girlfriends and I go over on our 30 minute break for at least a cup of soup! The food is crazy fresh and delicious. It's always hot, and made fresh. Sean "Hollywood" Fallon is the King in the kitchen. Every time we get our meals, they are perfectly prepared. The fries are crispy and HOT! My BLT last week was so good, I plan on ordering it again this week. The crowd favorite in my group is the PIZZA SOUP! We hope and pray it's the Special of the day every Thursday because it's so delicious. The Bartenders are so accommodating to us girls on our 30 minute break, and always have our food and soda to us quickly. They know the Beauty School girls need to be in and out as fast as possible, and they definitely take care of us! The bar is smoke free, which I love. It's always clean, the football game is always on, the crowd is mixed, and the music isn't too loud. It's a very chill atmosphere, and I look forward to my dinner every thursday. The Five Four bar is the best place in town. Non-smoking (can smoke at the outdoor patio, and can bring drinks out to the tables as well), spacious layout with a mix of tables, booths and, of course, seats at the 2 bars. Great food (delicious wings, and Joe's Bangers & Mash are to die for!) , great drinks served up by talented and friendly bartenders (James and Natalie are the best in the area), great atmosphere, along with a caring and accommodating owner who wants the best for his customers. They have lots of flat screen tv's to watch the games and it is very nice and clean inside. They have great bands every Friday and Saturday night, an "Open Mike" night every Wednesday, 3 pool tables, and 2 electronic dart board (where one can play against competitors in person or on-line) and a VERY nice outdoor patio where one can enjoy their food and drink while having a smoke (or just enjoying the weather). This is my favorite place to go, and it's easy to see why they were voted "Best in Bucks 2017" by the Courier Times! read more

I went to this bar for the first time this Friday night with some friends and was pleasantly surprised. The inside is fairly large, larger than it looks from the outside and everything looks brand new! Both my friend and I ordered nachos, I got them with the addition of chili which was amazing and she got chicken which was also amazing! Around 9:30pm they had live music, a band named Jumper. They were awesome and played songs that I knew practically every word too. I noticed the date the bar opened is recent and there weren't as many people as I expected there to be, but as the night continued it did get a bit more active. Overall I had a great time. Im grading this by my Tuesday night happy hour experience when the place had five total people at 5pm. I came in here to meet with some clients and was really hungry. I ordered wings which were 1/2 off today after 5pm. They tasted really fresh and I really enjoyed them. The bartender was really friendly and we has a great conversation about the local area. The one thing I was dissatisfied with was that my wings took 25 minutes to come out. The place was empty and it took this long. What happens when its packed?
