Cool place to stop in after visiting Sesame place. We visited for our toddler sons birthday and I ordered one of the most popular meals the rice chicken and shrimp bowl. Husband ordered the tush push and said it was cooked to perfection. Kids ordered cheese quesadilla and they said it tasted stale. I asked waiter if they did anything special for birthdays and he said no but he came out with a dessert and I thought that was really nice until I read that all kids meals came with a drink and dessert. So he actually shorted us a dessert since we had two kids meals. Waiter didn't really check in. On us as he did others. We needed refills but didn't hassle him but would have been nice. Beans took excellent care of us from start to finish, which immediately set the tone . It can get pretty busy here, but service stays quick without ever feeling like you're being rushed . Parking is decent , and the full liquor bar is a real bonus, not just PA spirits iykyk , so rideshare was a must for me to fully enjoy. We ordered the zinger mountain melt hot and topped it with the shrimp feature, basically a mashup of two menu items and absolutely worth trying . The flavors worked surprisingly well together and felt like a fun upgrade . What stood out most was being able to sit, talk, and actually enjoy the meal, just like a dine in experience should be . I had two great experiences here while in town. The first was in the dining room area with server Aidan. Very attentive, food was served promptly, no awkward delays anywhere. As a chain restaurant they have a great food selection. The beer selection is a bit pedestrian but they have a good number of pulls to choose from. They're opened the latest in the area so we went back a second night with the very friendly Mikey behind the bar. He was very pleasant and friendly to talk to and though we were from out of town made us feel like one of the locals. Great guy and he was super attentive to make sure our drinks were flowing and our food arrived in a timely manner. He was working the front bar. We only saw the back bar from outside but it looked quite pleasant and rather cozy with a fireplace. Perhaps next time we're in town we'll check out that back bar. A couple friends and I had a hankering to try out a new (to us) eatery, so we ventured out to the Oxford Valley Mall area in Langhorne, PA to try out the Miller's Ale House chain. The place was packed and very energetic on a Saturday evening, which is always pleasant for a dinner outing. Miller's has a fairly extensive menu, mainly consisting of American fare and plenty of options for alcoholic drinks. We started off with chicken zingers, nachos, and mozzarella sticks, and had a burger. Sadly, all the food items we tried were all very underwhelming and average at best. The chicken zingers were tender, but the coating had zero flavor and was the blandest coating I've had in a chicken tender/finger in a long time...I thought perhaps I was being a bit harsh and it was just me, but my friends agreed about the lack of flavor. I think Miller's is betting on the sauces providing flavor much like buffalo wing places do rather than put some seasoning or spice in the coating. The nachos were ok, but similarly lacked any sort of distinguishing flavor in either the cheese or chicken. Mozzarella sticks similarly lacked flavor, and were a very run of the mill frozen variety and below the quality of those you'd find at Applebee's or TGI Fridays. The burger was better than the appetizers, but pretty average in taste. Honestly, we know Miller's is a chain, but we weren't impressed with the appetizers or meal since nothing stood out. The best part of the meal was the Jack's Buried Treasure dessert we had; it was a triple layered vanilla ice cream cake with Oreo crust, Heath bar crumble, caramel, and hot fudge. Although I'm not a Heath bar fan and I didn't taste any caramel, the combination somehow worked to make an above average and pretty decent (not to mention unique) dessert. The service was friendly and atmosphere pretty upbeat, so despite an underwhelming food experience, I wouldn't mind giving Miller's another shot on a future visit and trying out some other menu items. read more

The web site menu was confusing, and the online ordering process even more so. They wouldn't take an order by telephone. Flavor and doneness were OK. Extra sauce on the side was missing. ($22.99) ONION RINGS (2/5) -- Too much batter-to-onion and served cold. ($1.99 side dish) PORK OSSO BUCO (3/5) -- This used to be one of their best dishes. Pork shank was overcooked. ($18 49) FRIED SHRIMP (2/5) -- Tasted good but shrimp were limp and cold. Little bit disappointed to see that the spacing between customers is no longer enforced and tables are being back to back occupied. Unfortunately customers have their masks off and are talking &talking and coughing . The only place that was not available for sitting was at the waiting area in front of the hostess stand , which is nice to keep them safe. So it was a full house tonight even though I came in at five which is usually pretty early to eat, the place was packed and ready for a hockey game and that's probably why there were so many people in the restaurant. We came for my husband's granddaughters birthday. The service was not good at all. I'm not sure if it was the servers fault, the kitchen or both. We sat down at 5:30 and didn't get served until 6:40. I ordered a 10oz sirloin and got an 8oz filet. I guess I shouldn't complain but I purposely ordered the 10oz. sirloin for the extra protein. I also asked for double veggies but was only given one helping. Dessert was served by the manager without utensils. She promised to come back with spoons but after 5 minutes (and rapidly melting ice cream) we gave up on her and flagged down a server. Getting coffee was also a challenge. The food was ok however, the presentation was non existent. It's been a while since we've been to Miller's. It'll be a long while before we go back. read more

We had a great experience here! My husband had French onion soup and fish and chips. There was a lot of fish and it was crispy and delicious. I had some diet restrictions and they worked with me. I had a burger on a bed of lettuce tomato and pickles. The burger was well seasoned, as well as the fries. As you can see from the empty plates, we loved it! read more

This place has a local bar feel to it .... and was pretty busy even for a Thursday night Our waiter was great with taking our large order and we all got what we ordered Wine and beer ... standard . Can't really rate that Food was ok. American bar food. I had the Zinger Salad. Zingers are their boneless chicken tenders and you have various options for sauce . I had the original hot sauce with blue cheese dressing on the side. Food was average - 3 stars. Why I gave it 4 stars was the service and accommodation for our large group after a wake for our beloved co-worker. 49 minute wait to dine in at Miller's Ale House this evening. The hosts and waitresses were friendly. The table was clean but under the table or a couple the seats hadn't been cleaned where we were seated. The floor had debris from the last customers. I mentioned it to waitress and asked if they had any cleaner so that I could at least clean the seats. She came over and sprayed the one seat and cleaned it off because it was the worst and the others had food crumbs. We just brushed those off. My mind then began to wander whether we were possibly being exposed to COVID-19 due to the lack of cleanliness. I looked around at the other tables that were not attended and they appeared to be clean top and bottom. I was ready to leave but my husband convinced me to give it a chance and besides he and my children were so hungry. The waitress was attentive taking my party of 5's order patiently. We had garlic Parmesan wings and traditional buffalo style. They were super yummy! The bacon cheese burger and chili fries looked good, but were almost room temperature when my daughter received it. My husband tried the pork osso Bucco with mash and broccoli. I was able to taste it. It was tender, juicy, and good flavor. My husband said the mash was super salty but otherwise good. I had the meatloaf, mash and broccoli. The meatloaf was okay, but not as good as the Millers Ale house in Mt. Laurel, NJ. I have to agree with my husband they heavily over salted the mashed potatoes. If you didn't have high blood pressure before you certainly would after eating those mashed potatoes. The broccoli was fresh and perfectly cooked. If it weren't for the cleanliness factor and food not being hot when we received it this would have been a good experience. It is very difficult to be at ease during these times especially if you see the ball is being dropped when it comes to cleanliness. I hope this was the exception and not the standard of care required to keep the staff and customers healthy and safe. read more

We took a bar seat and the bartender was conversational despite being very busy. Zingers and nachos are a safe choice and will not disappoint. The mega nachos are as the name entails so make sure you have room! I barely touched the cheese sauce in the middle of the nacho ring since they were so generous with the toppings. I love when the toppings are spread out evenly on nachos! My husband had the People's margarita and I had the Prickly Pear margarita. Both were sweet and we each preferred our chosen flavor. Me and my mom went to this restaurant for dinner. When we sat down are waitress came over and asked what we wanted to drink. We both ordered sprites, and when they came they tasted like seltzer water so we returned them and got new ones and they still tasted bad. So at that point we just got cokes. We ordered zingers and ribs and when they came out we could obviously tell that they weren't gonna be good. When I touched my zinger there was no sauce on it, and when my mom took a bite of her ribs and they were cold. So I asked for some more sauce and it took 5 minutes to get a pea sized amount of sauce. read more

I treated my folks tonight for dinner at Langhorne location. We were seated right away by the nice manager. Our server, Mary Kate, was friendly, responsive and the wait was perfect timing. We haven't even left the restaurant's parking lot and I had to submit this review. Tonight was our first time at any of the Miller's Ale House locations and it will be our last. We tried the Langhorne location, as were on a family vacation and it was recommended by the hotel front desk associate. Now, we wish we would have researched other locations. When we arrived, we have a 25 minute wait which was fine as we just wanted a great experience and great food. Based on the fact that it was a Tuesday, I was hopefully that it was a sign that we had picked the right place. The text message came that our reservation/table was ready and we were escorted to the cold patio bar area with a 6 year old. The reservation definitely indicated that we had a child, why was that the selection. I declined and requested a table within the restaurant over at least 9 open booths. We were relocated by the hostess who made it a point to inform us that it was only her second day and she didn't know if they would allow us to move. Well, I explained that if "they" had an issue, we would be fine with finding another dinner location. Table 31 was our new dining home for the evening. Not fond of being right at the bar and kitchen pick up location; we dealt with it and was just ready for a great meal after a fun-filled day at Sesame Place. Our server (will refrain from naming) game over with a mediocre greeting and never introduced himself. He took our drink orders and I then asked him his name, though I could read it on his name tag. Being accustomed to restaurant service at home, I don't think it's hard to say your name during the intro. Got passed that and then added appetizers. Even when asking their recommendations on items after indicated that this was our first visit, the response was no help. Moved on and still worked to make the best of the situation. Drinks came and were a 3 out of 10. Never complained, just ordered another menu cocktail for me and everyone else kept the original pitcher. Apps came and were a 6/10. At that point we were skeptical of ordering the entrees. But with a hungry child who had already selected their entree, we ordered. Food was a 5/10 and that was after I had to remind the server that a requested item was never brought or added to one of the entrees. Finally we were over it and asked for the check. Bagged what we wanted, paid and left. Even upon the our exit the TWO hostesses standing at the front check-in desk looked us dead in our faces and never said a word. No, "Thank you for coming. Have a good evening." Or, "Hope you enjoyed. Good night". So, I made it a point to share this experience. Crazy thing, there's a location close to our residence that we looked at while we were waiting for our table and said we would try. Nope. I'll research better options. Disappointed. read more

My friend and I came to this location around 9pm and was promptly seated at the very first table, right next to the FOH hostess podium. 10 minutes go by and no one stopped by our table--no server and no water. My friend had to go up to the hostess up front and ask if we were going to get a server or not. Then the girl goes and gets us our server. So it took at least 15 minutes to get just water. Took half an hour for dumplings and zingers to come out. Top that off, no utensils. We weren't really sure why it took half an hour to bring out fried foods in an empty restaurant. It seemed like the table next to us were waiting for their check for quite some time. I guess one of the employees is pregnant since all the servers were swarmed at the front signing a card. The quality of the food is lackluster and the kitchen prep is poor. I wish it wasn't. It's our experience that there are 2 kinds of restaurants in close proximity to Oxford Valley Mall: those that strive to have a great dining experience for their patrons, and those that are still in business only because of their proximity to the big children's theme park on the back side of the mall. This restaurant fits in the second group. It was mid-day on the weekend, and the parking lot was half empty. So, as you can guess, the restaurant was not very crowded. When we entered, there was no one waiting at the hostess station. When we told the hostess there were 2 of us, she told us there were no clean tables, and we'd have a 15 minute wait. (Insert gratuitous eyeroll here.) Well, her shift ended right then, and she picked up her handbag & left. The arriving host seated us in 2 minutes, and we sat at a table next to the bar watching servers buzzing up & down the aisle with no one stopping for about 10 minutes. When our server finally arrived, and even though we were ready to order, only our drink order was taken. After about 15 more minutes, our drinks arrived, from all the way over there at the bar 4 feet away. NOW, our server was ready to take our order. What happened next was our server was largely absent for the next 45 minutes, except to see if we wanted another round of drinks, which we did not. The food eventually arrived, more than an hour after we were seated. We had steaks. One was cooked correctly, and the other was overcooked, even though they were both to be medium rare. The taste was unremarkable, given the $21 price tag. To say the broccoli was cooked was an understatement. It was steamed for maybe 3 minutes, just enough time for the color to be that beautiful green, but incredibly undercooked and very hard to bite into. To say the baked potato was cooked was also an understatement. It was rock hard, the skin was brown and black, and the inside was a medium yellow color. This potato had been overcooked by several hours. We've visited a number of area restaurants in the past few months. This one, absolutely fit into the column, 'exists only because the theme park tourists don't know better.' There are good restaurants in this vicinity, but I can't say this is one of them. read more
