I was in town for a high school reunion event, staying at the Ewing Marriott. The Firkin is minutes from the hotel and a great place. I first went here many years ago and had a good time. This visit was better. I tried the Oklahoma Burger and what a treat. Raw onions are cooked inside the burger and it's topped with cheddar cheese. OMG.....delicious. Served with fries and ice cold Yuengling. Great neighborhood pub. I'm a NY Giant's fan and the Firkin is clearly an Eagles pub. I didn't care!!!!!

Stopped in for a light lunch. We sat at the bar which was not overly crowded and listened to the bartender have conversation with customers whom clearly were regulars without even being acknowledged. After what I felt was an unacceptable amount of time we decided to grab a table. The hostess was kind of enough to inform us we could eat which we declined. Overall the food was fine and our server was nice. However the place needs a good cleaning.

Terrific lunch at Firkin's. I was craving short ribs and they did not disappoint. Short ribs French dip was absolutely delicious. The meat was plentiful and so tender. It definitely satisfied my craving. I hope they add short rib grilled cheese to the menu! My husband had the Thai boneless wings and Mahi Mahi tacos. He loved the sauce on the wings and said the tacos were stuffed with perfectly cooked fish. Service was excellent. We'll definitely be back.

Burger with American cheese. No bun.

Best Firkin burger!! And not just a "burger" but a sirloin, brisket and chuck burger! I will never order anything else! A great chill bar. Love this place.

The Firkin Tavern has it all. Great bartenders, excellent food and menu choices, a phenomenal beer list, good crowds, and great prices. We've visited here a few times and tried several dishes and everything was excellent. This is a "can't go wrong" spot with something for everyone. They even have a game room with pool tables, darts, and more.

Classic pub atmosphere with good menu selection. Bar area is lively but there is quieter dining available in separate area. Food was excellent and service was efficient and attentive. I will definitely go again when I am in the area.

The Good: great prices, awesome customer service, and variety of food items. Plenty of parking. Food was very good. Ordered the fish tacos, bang bang shrimp, and a chicken salad. All which were flavorful and plenty enough portion size. The Cobb salad I ordered had fresh lettuce, plenty of avocado, and egg, and grilled seasoned chicken. The bang bang shrimp and tacos were also very well seasoned. Although the fish taco was a bit crispy, it still was tasty. The shrimp was the best I've had..even better than bonefish which is their signature. The bad: nothing. There wasn't anything I could pinpoint. I didn't have any beer or mixed drinks and since this is a tavern it's probably an important piece but I'll be sure to give my business here again.

This location is in an unassuming strip mall. Don't let the exterior fool you! We were in town visiting family who live nearby, and this is one of their favorite places. They have a good menu and a good kids menu. However, the Friday before St. Patrick's Day they were serving a very limited menu. Ugh! We still had good food and good service, but might have picked another place to eat had we known that prior to getting there. I enjoyed a Guinness and fish and chips. Some of the best fried fish I have had in a long time! We also enjoyed a brownie sundae for dessert. The brownie was huge and it would have been perfect with double the ice cream.

Do they still have a happy hour? If so, where can I find the hours and the menu specials prices?

happy hour Monday through Friday from 4-7pm at the bar. They don't list what they are. I would suggest calling or emailing.

It had been more than a year since my last visit to Marty's Place. Time flies!…read more I was driving by this morning after court, having skipped breakfast at home in order to get a jump on traffic going into the city. I saw a new sign out front on a Bud Light white board that breakfast was now being served 7 days a week! Hot diggity! I parked out back and walked in to a mostly empty bar (2 customers who looked like they were regulars). The bartender approached and we engaged about their breakfast menu. It was pretty wide open if my desires had anything to do with eggs. They did. I opted for a sausage, egg and cheese on Kaiser roll, and mug of java. While it was being created in the kitchen I watched a show about exotic car auctions. A Borgati opening at a cool million bucks was an eye opener. Another black transport used by John Lennon around London was also put up and sold. Pretty cool entertainment. The sandwich was great! Double patty, fried egg, American cheese and a fresh, quality roll, made for a tasty and fun meal. The side of homefries was likewise excellent - hot, crisp and spicy with sautéed onions in the mix. Coffee, strong and kicking. The only shortcomings were the lack of a joe refill offering, and lack of utensils. Luckily, I had a spoon from the coffee, which was fine as a shovel. Afterall, Marty's is still a wonderful corner dive. It was made for comfort, not for speed, nor etiquette.

Stopped in to try their breakfast. Got waited on pretty quickly by new bartender Nick. We sat up at…read morea big table new the kitchen. We ordered a French toast to split and then the cook came out and I asked him what's BFO mean on the menu? He ( Bill ) said BIG F Omelet lol he was Very personable! He even gave us upon greeting us 2 tiny tiny mini eclairs that were delicious! I asked him IF he does poached eggs he said I'll make u Anything u want! So my husband and I split a BFO and check this out-u get to pick as many meats and vegetables in yr omelet that u want! For the same price of $ 11 00! Comes w 6 pieces of yr choose of cheese! He brings out 2 plates and its Allready split for us! And we Both got an order of toast! The omelette was delicious I just Didn't care for the tiny cubed potatoes bcz they were too well done like deep fried! Afterwards he bought us tiny little samples of homemade poundcake like pineapple upside down cake, caramel, and even a strawberry cheesecake flavor! Bill Really impressed me with his sharing of how he makes his stuffed cabbage since I'm Hungarian and told him how I make mine! I've been in the restaurant business for 40 years ( Retired on my bday 3/13/20 at the start of Covid ) but I have NEVER tipped a cook until today! Charles and I Can't wait to go back and have Bill make Us lunch!
