I ordered a Moscato, and my husband ordered a Michelob Ultra. Since we had already had plenty of time to look over the menu, we placed our dinner order at the same time. A few minutes later, our waitress returned to tell me that they were out of Moscato. I have to admit, I found that pretty surprising. This was a Saturday evening, and I would expect a restaurant and bar to be well stocked heading into a busy weekend night. My husband had also ordered soup before his meal. Interestingly enough, his soup arrived before his beer did. I'm still not quite sure how a bowl of soup made it to the table faster than a draft beer. When our entrées finally arrived, neither of us was particularly impressed. The food wasn't terrible, but it was average at best and certainly didn't make up for the rest of the experience. We finished our meals, paid our bill, and left. Between the slow service, the bar not being properly stocked, the unusual delay in getting a simple drink, and food that was nothing more than average, there simply wasn't anything about our experience that would give us a reason to return. Unfortunately, Killarney's will not be a place we revisit.

The coffee was good and strong. My only complaint was there was no real creamers, only mini moos. Our meals arrived after about ten minutes. Two over easy eggs, hash browns, buttered rye toast and a side of bacon. The bacon was flimsy and greasy--definitely needed work. The eggs were cooked to perfection and the crisp delicious potatoes complimented them perfectly. After our meal it seemed like the staff opened up to us and we really enjoyed our meal. Very affordable at about $13-$14 for two plus a tip. I would come here again solo on my day off.

Double patty, fried egg, American cheese and a fresh, quality roll, made for a tasty and fun meal. The side of homefries was likewise excellent - hot, crisp and spicy with sautéed onions in the mix. Coffee, strong and kicking. The only shortcomings were the lack of a joe refill offering, and lack of utensils. Luckily, I had a spoon from the coffee, which was fine as a shovel. Afterall, Marty's is still a wonderful corner dive. It was made for comfort, not for speed, nor etiquette.
