Maria was great. Beers were special (Firestone-PasoRobles) and great. The pizza - OMG - get the mustard pie with pork roll. Olde time vibes, intimate but older (in a good way) -

mmmm mm mm! firstly.. very friendly staff! very nice ladies had pleasant interactions with them all! it's quite cozy of a place with all the wooden pieces and tvs lining the walls, with a bar in the center. i'm sure it would be quite fun to be there during a game! we ordered some hot buffalo wings & a plain pie, both came out hot! the wings had a nice and flavorful spice and were crisp, but juicy! they weren't dripping in sauce, which made them easier to eat and kept them from getting soggy. the pizza was mmmm so thin and crisp and greasy YUM. great sauce to cheese ratio. and delicious!!!!! the taste was all there.

Came for their bar pie and I wasn't disappointed. I ordered a bar pie with hot peppers at $10.99. The crust was crisp and crunchy, with a sweet flavor in the dough. The sauce was lightly sweetened with a perfect cheese to sauce ratio. The cheese itself was fresh, lightly salty and nor greasy or stringy. Hot peppers had an average kick to them. I thought it was a great deal for the price. The tavern itself is a neighborhood spot. I was there just before lunch, sat at the bar and before I knew it I was surrounded with regulars. (One was an annoying slurper of soup and loud chewer and the other sat so close to me he could have shared my pizza with me). I kind of wish the TV's were turned up louder! Having said that the bar seating can get tight, but not to worry there are plenty of tables. I liked the way they had their TV's spread out along the walls so you could catch whatever sports were on pretty easily. The Christmas decorations made it feel festive. The bartender was attentive and nice. The beer menu had a lot of classics and an above average offering of craft beer with some variety of styles. I enjoyed a fresh Maine Lunch with my pizza, but the $9 asking for a small pour was a bit more than I'm used to. Parking was found easily in their large parking lot behind the building. Most people were ordering bar pies as an app and quite a few people popped in for takeout while I was there so I think it's safe to say the pizza is good! Thanks guys!

Bravo JoJo's! I have seen many posts in local food groups on social media suggest this establishment. My family and I just wrapped up a delicious lunch! After hearing the place gets pretty crowded I called ahead to inquire about a table. They kindly offered us a table outside. 15 min later and we're enjoying our own little VIP section on a beautiful autumn afternoon. All of the food we had was excellent - pizza particularly. Blue cheese here is incredible too. Thanks folks for the enjoyable afternoon. We shall be back soon!

Finally was able to return two years later. Food tasted exactly as great as it was the first time. Service was even better. Updated drink and food menus had some awesome new items (stuffed rigatoni with their killer vodka sauce, y'all! And the Golden Door Mango Lager was stellar). Seating still cramped. But hardly one table in the joint seemed to mind. Just a good place with good eats that everyone looks happy to enjoy, you can trust will be good every time, and you look forward to going back to. Can't wait to return!

Always a fun stop when visiting this part of Jersey. Definitely a local favorite for go to bar food, great beer selection as well as cocktails. Loud, energetic crowd, great service and always packed. Tough to forgo the pizza here, but we opted for apps as we were having dinner that night in Princeton. We choose wisely as the app portions were huge and spot on. The wings were cooked to perfection, meaty with the right amount of heat. As you can see, the nachos could feed a small army (though the 3 of us managed to clean the plate!). Lots of protein amongst beans, salsa and cheese. Looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend, if you have to wait...its worth it!

Located at Five Points in the Hamilton area, Jojo's Tavern is one of those places with decent reviews that I had overlooked eating at over the years. It's a modestly small local pub with a very loyal local customer base. While not a fancy place, compared to Bill's across the way, Jojo's interiors seemed cleaner, much brighter, and more inviting in general. We wanted to try out a variety of items, so went with mozzarella sticks, a plain cheese bar pie (pizza), a chicken parmigiana sandwich, and a side of waffle fries. The mozzarella sticks were a hearty breaded kind, but a standard frozen food service type that weren't bad, but just very standard without much flavor in the breading. The bar pizza was pretty average and underwhelming, and any of the Hamilton area Italian owned pizzerias can do much better in the taste department, as none of the ingredients stood out in flavor or quality. The chicken parmigiana sandwich was probably the best part of the meal, with a hearty portion served with yummy tasting potato chips, but otherwise average with regards to recipe. The waffle fries which were recommended by the waitress were also quite underwhelming (Chick Fil A does better waffle fries). While the service was extremely friendly and decently paced, the food quality left quite a bit to be desired. I'm glad to have checked Jojo's Tavern off of my places to try out, but with the mediocre and average at best food experience, it's probably not a place I'd be recommending to others or returning to anytime soon.

Time flies!…read more I was driving by this morning after court, having skipped breakfast at home in order to get a jump on traffic going into the city. I saw a new sign out front on a Bud Light white board that breakfast was now being served 7 days a week! Hot diggity! I parked out back and walked in to a mostly empty bar (2 customers who looked like they were regulars). The bartender approached and we engaged about their breakfast menu. It was pretty wide open if my desires had anything to do with eggs. They did. I opted for a sausage, egg and cheese on Kaiser roll, and mug of java. While it was being created in the kitchen I watched a show about exotic car auctions. A Borgati opening at a cool million bucks was an eye opener. Another black transport used by John Lennon around London was also put up and sold. Pretty cool entertainment. The sandwich was great! Double patty, fried egg, American cheese and a fresh, quality roll, made for a tasty and fun meal. The side of homefries was likewise excellent - hot, crisp and spicy with sautéed onions in the mix. Coffee, strong and kicking. The only shortcomings were the lack of a joe refill offering, and lack of utensils. Luckily, I had a spoon from the coffee, which was fine as a shovel. Afterall, Marty's is still a wonderful corner dive. It was made for comfort, not for speed, nor etiquette.

Rossi's is an area institution. In Trenton from 1933-2014 and then in Mercerville for the past 11 years. It has tons of old photos on th wall of the OG Rossi's and the people that ate there, like Joe DiMaggio. It was huge space with a bar, tables and booths. With the girth of the burger and at the price (May 2025, $16.68 with tax), it should have been presented with fries or a side salad, not just a la carte. Nevertheless, I'm a big fan!

Years ago I took him to the original Rossi's in Chambersburg after they won WIP radio host Glen Macnow's best burger contest. The place felt smoky and cramped and alive, a beating heart of the local community. So he came back to town and said, Take me to Rossi's. I want that burger again. The new Rossi's is bigger and brighter and very aware of its own legend. The website still shouts proudly about the award winning burger, the kind of pride that lingers long after the parade has packed up and the confetti has been swept into the gutter. The official burger of Polk High. We ordered the famous burger. It arrived on a soft roll, thick and respectable, cooked properly enough. The beef had that loose packed texture that once made it special, a little craggy, a little juicy. It was, in a word, fine. It didn't part the heavens, and it didn't cause my friend to close his eyes and whisper my name in gratitude. It was just a hamburger. The fries were plentiful and hot. There is still a sports bar soul here, sort of. Televisions glow and beer flows, albeit very VERY slowly. The menu stretches wide with wings, sandwiches, steaks, things for people who want something other than beef on a bun. It feels like a place that knows how to feed a crowd after a Little League game or a retirement home on an afternoon outing. The service was friendly in the way a distracted and rarely seen cousin is friendly at Thanksgiving. Smiles, sure. Refills, eventually. Our server moved with the gentle chaos of someone juggling too many plates and not enough time or help. Nothing disastrous happened. Nothing especially polished happened either. We waited, ee watched and we ate. When my friend took a bite,he nodded politely. He said, "It's good." This is not what he said all those years ago in Chambersburg when grease ran down his wrist and he declared it the best burger in the state with the certainty of Biff Tannen with a Sports Almanac in his back pocket. Restaurants age and legends settle into routine. Rossi's feels like it is living comfortably on stories of past glory. There is nothing wrong with the food, but there is nothing thrilling about it either. If you are nearby and hungry, you'll be fed and you'll leave full. If you're chasing a memory, you may just find that memory tastes better than the present.

The room we sat in was covered with retro signs on the walls and a couple of TV's with sports playing. The waitress recommended a bar pie with sausage and their cheesesteak. My son and I split both. The bar pie was sizeable, fresh and had a wonderful snappy crust. The chunked tomato sauce was good, but could have used a little more flavor, cheese was fresh and had just the right amount. The small chunks of sweet sausage were delicious. As for the cheesesteak, well the roll was fresh and the meat was alright, but the quantity of meat was disappointing. I would say it's just about average if that, but the bar pie made up for it. Speaking of pizza, the kids pizza pie is huge and a great price (in addition they have a few other options which we love). As for drinks, the bartenders make a good drink, especially their summer sangria. And if you are a beer drinker, they also have a decent selection. Overall, we are big fans and have considered moving to Hamilton just to be closer.
