I've been making my own pizza for 30+ years now, and it's good in its own way but more so really inexpensive. I wish I could duplicate the Jersey pizza I grew up on a love but hope springs eternal. From time to time I splurge and make my way to Salernos. It is everything I remember and love about pizza growing up in the area. I also enjoy the warm family atmosphere, quality food and reasonable prices, I've had other pizza in the area, not of my own choice, but I can say with all certainty that Salernos is the better option in the area. I ordered 3 hero's to go. Chicken parm, eggplant parm, and meatball parm. I've always had great experiences at Salernos but this was not one of them. It's not that the sandwiches were bad but they fell flat. They didn't have enough sauce and were overly salty. While we will return to Salernos we will definitely not be getting sandwiches there again. read more

While on business in the area, my coworkers and I decided to grab lunch here. It's a long time staple in this area. There were several tables & booths so you can dine in. The decor could use some updating. It was a bit dark, albeit clean. There were too women who appeared to be servers that came over to bring us our menus, which is quite extensive, and take our beverage order. Neither spoke much English, nor understood it very well. One indicated she was new. This place is owned by a husband and wife who are very much Italian. Accent and all. Maria, one of the owners came over to verify our orders since the waitresses were slightly unclear when presenting our orders to the kitchen staff. Our salads that came with the meal were fresh and good. You could also get the soup of the day. Two of us ordered the chicken francaise. One got the veal francaise and the other got a turkey wrap with french fries. Overall, the food was very good. I encountered a slight issue with one of the pieces of chicken. It was still slightly pink on part of it. I let the staff know, and Maria came out and apologized. She had us pick a dessert no charge. My coworker who had the veal said it was slightly tough, but still flavorful. Had my chicken been pounded thin it would've alleviated any under cooking. I digress. It is what it is! Very good food, served hot and in a timely manner. Our server took good care of us, refilling drinks, bussing as needed and checking out how we liked the food. The place was clean, not noisy and not too bright, very comfortable! This my go-to pizzeria when I need a pizza delivered. Fast friendly service. And when you have the time, stop by, Wawa-Wewa very nice! They aren't afraid to make the pizzas well done. This restaurant is a stone's throw from the TCNJ campus. The dining room is good size and we visited on a Sunday night. we were the only people inside the establishment but they're looks like there was a good traffic of takeout orders. The staff was very accommodating and met our every need. The parking lot isn't very big but we were able to find one spot. I was very impressed with the diversity of foods offered. It was almost like a diner menu. My wife ordered the pizza and really enjoyed it. the cook made some with garlic and some without as requested. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with onions and cheese that was slightly overcooked. The fries were good. Overall, we enjoyed this establishment and would visit again. read more

This has recently become my "go to" place whenever I need a fix of a good pizza pie, or meatball sub, or chicken parmesan sub. I had gone to Salerno's from time to time in the past, but until recently, I was happy with another place nearer my house. That relationship has pretty much ended. No idea why people give this restaurant 4 stars and then provide stellar reviews without explanation why they left a star off. Honestly this place is great- and this is coming from someone who ordered delivery. Food came here within 20 minutes of ordering, and it arrived at perfect temperatures. Their house dressing is amazing, as is their chicken Caesar wrap, steak sandwich, pasta and meatballs and Italian hoagie. Usually places will charge you extra if you ask for modifications to something.... I asked for 3 different things to be changed/added to the Italian hoagie and they complied with every one without charging extra. Wish I had taken pictures prior to writing this but the food was good that we dug into it before I could get photos. Also s/o to the super nice delivery driver. Great job guys! read more

Haven't ordered from here in years, and decided to give it another shot today via Grubhub app. I ordered at 12:55, pizza was delivered around 1:15 (I live less than 2 miles away but I'm wfh so couldn't pick up). Fresh, hot, and extremely satisfying, plus you can't beat the price. Large cheese pie for $14.85, wowie! No one charges that anymore on the apps. Crust isn't my favorite, but I'm picky so it's no big deal. The cheese and sauce are spot on. Will definitely order again next time I'm craving a pizza. read more

I have family in the area and almost every time I visit I have to get a slice of Salerno's. Out of all the pizzerias I've tried in the area, I have come to appreciate this one the most. Feeling particularly lazy I decided to try the delivery and ordered dinner for my son and I online. The delivery arrived earlier than expected which I was glad because the estimated over an hour. When it arrived I was sort of shocked and disappointed at the size of the pizza. looking at the menu I realize it doesn't state how big the pizzas is or how many people should serve. I grew up in Ewing and moved to Florida for work about ten years ago. When I come back I do not visit without a mandatory visit to Salerno's for a tomato pie and a chopped antipasto. It is a requirement. It's a religious experience. The sauce and crust are incomparable. There's nothing in Palm Beach County that could ever come close. As a policy, I never like to leave negative reviews because of the incompetence of others who aren't the owner nor the chefs. with that said, a restaurant will not be able to learn from their mistakes without these reviews. So today will be the first. Working at a large company near by, we usually do large take out orders from this restaurant. Food has always been good, and never had any issues. Today we placed a decent large order for our department. However, I guess that didn't go well with the girl taking our order. As she puts her phone down, we can hear her talking negatively about us to her co workers. First of all if you're going to speak negatively of us on the phone, I do suggest you put yourself on mute. This hostess then just informs us to place our orders on grub hub next time. There is no policy in place stating than any customer must place large orders online. If there was, I do suggest you put that on your menu / website. Coming from a family in the restaurant business, one would assume that the ownership would be quite pleased that they are receiving this much business. A few weeks ago, I organized an event that my company in the area does jointly with a local non-profit. It's an event for kids, so we usually order pizza for everyone there. This restaurant was recommended, so I looked at the menu and decided to order from them. It was a pretty big order, and the guy on the other end of the phone was very friendly and understanding. That non-profit was going to have an event the next day as well, and so someone else had made a big order from Salerno's for that, so he was great about making sure that it wasn't a duplicate order. The pizza came on time and was good quality. Both the adults and the kids loved it and ate plenty. If I'm organizing the event again next year, I'll likely order from them again! read more
