Making my favorite pie from Brooklyn! Thin crust, crispy, well put together, golden and a great returned from Covid exodus, pizza maker!!

We booked their party room for our daughter's communion luncheon so we wanted to actually try the food, haha. I think I found a new spot and sad I slept on this place for years! Their pizza, penne vodka, chicken parm all delicious!! I have to go back and try other items! Their restaurant is really pretty, a pick up area with a small eat in for casual, and a dining room for sit down service and they have a party room in the back. I shopped around for the best value for a luncheon and their prices are decent. Definitely recommend!

We've heard about Villa Francesca's for sometime now and finally decided it was a good opportunity for us to test them out this past Saturday night. Google maps actually were a little bit off so we called the restaurant for a little bit of navigation hopefully they finally got us set us at one table little cold by the windows so we have to be moved into the center restaurant which they gladly did and we were off to a good start. Upon reviewing the menu and some yelp reviews on a wife and I were ready to start placing our order we opened up the night with the anti-pasti di mare, Jumbo shrimp clams muscles scallop and grape tomatoes in a garlic wine. A very nice start, all the muscles were open, certainly was a jumbo shrimp and a jumbo size scallop to share, And a very tasty broth. Before the entrées we were served with a Health Salad nice mix greens of fresh. For our entrées my wife ordered veal cardinale, prosciutto spinach mozzarella shiitake mushrooms in a marsala wine sauce with grilled vegetables. For my dish I had the chicken rapini, roasted peppers broccoli Rob fresh sun-dried tomatoes I passed on the smoked mozzarella and it was in a light marinara atop orecchiette. Both are extremely tasty very fresh and filling dishes I actually took part of mine home. To wrap up the evening my wife took home a slice of homemade Italian ricotta cheesecake which she said was fabulous. A testament to this restaurant we arrive and seated by five and by time we left a little after six the place was packed.

The three Gonzales brothers claim to love cheffing Italian food at their Villa Francesco Restaurant on Rt. 31 in Pennington, NJ. After an initial visit for dinner last night, it is obvious they speak en veritas. Their dining room is spare, but simply elegant with very high ceilings under which a 10' ramada fit easily over our table, a long bar graced the southern wall, and a small pizza parlor inhabited the front (back) of the house. Too, there is a large patio with umbrellaed tables for al fresco dining. The primary entrance is from the parking lot behind the 3 building complex. Overall, an excellent first impression, enhanced by our Valpolicella red wine selection from home. This night we dined alone inside, while the exterior tables were full. Given the heat and spacing, we made the right choice. We ordered Vitello Sorentino and Chicken Francese for entrees. They were accompanied by small house salads and bread plate & olive oil dipping plate. Must say that the veal was tender, and the grilled eggplant, prosciutto, mozzarella in a white wine reduction and side of colorful veggies, really engaged the senses both visually and gastronomically. Delicious. The Francese was likewise a pleasure, with the egg/butter/white wine/lemon sauce over pasta and two medallions of egg wine dipped, breaded chicken breast also a home run. Service was friendly and efficient without cloy. Soup to nuts, we were out in about an hour. Not bad for a weeknight with work the next morning. Prices were also competitive with similar menus this side of the Delaware, and a few bucks better than most per dish, providing a strong value proposition. Are you sure those Gonzales guys aren't Italian? It sure tastes like they are!

Just had another amazing lunch here ! Sat on their outside patio - such a great space and beautiful day. Service was excellent and the food - even better !!! Everything is amazing but the scallops and asparagus appetizer is my all time favorite to start with and you can never go wrong with the gnocchi !! The paninis come with little side Gorgonzola pear salads - such a nice touch. Will be back soon !!

Solid pizza and a few good pasta dishes, better for takeout as opposed to in dining. A family favorite is the paparadelli gypsy.

I've heard good things but they did not hit it out of the park for me. I have dietary preferences that I found very hard to make work here. I had looked at the menu beforehand and identified two options that would work for me. The crispy wings and the burger. It turns out I could try neither of those options as they were out of both. It's a Wednesday dinner service and the restaurant was empty so imagine my severe disappointment. I ended up getting a Caesar salad which was fine but let's be honest a Caesar salad is lettuce, cheese, dressing and croutons. There was nothing to write home about with this one. The other three members of the group got pizzas. Here comes the next disappointment - it took more than 45 minutes for the food to come out. There were only two other tables with people so I cannot understand why it took so long. All this to say I waited almost an hour for my sad plate of lettuce, which was not my first or second choice. I was annoyed and still left hungry. The rest of the group seemed to enjoy their pizzas, but I will not be returning.

Upon entering the nicely cooled place, we were warmly greeted and promptly seated by a window adjacent to the wood fire oven. This was our first visit. The room is very lively. Thankful we were seated in the corner which helped with the acoustics. With the dining room mostly full at lunchtime, it was difficult to hear my bride on the other side of the table. We were in no hurry so overtime, the place thinned out a bit and the volume subsided. Could be a real issue on a busy night. Might try the bar room side next time. (Some decorative acoustic ceiling tiles would greatly reduce the noise.) There were menu additions as well as a limited but decent selection of value wines. We decided on the Shrimp Mango Avocado Tower and a Shrimp Caesar salad and a bottle of Villa Antinori. The Shrimp Mango Avocado salad is one of the best salads we have ever had. Really. Blueberry, strawberry, arugula, candied pecans, feta cheese topped with a limoncello dressing and aged balsamic with a few grilled shrimp. Was hoping for more shrimp, but the salad is very filling. The interplay of the various flavors was very tasty and the wine was a good paring. The Shrimp Caesar salad was also very good. I loved the anchovie and dijon forward flavors with just the right amount of garlic. The homemade croutons with just the right flavor and crunch. The pace was perfect. Server (manager?) was attentive but not overbearing. We had a nice relaxing and delicious light lunch. Exactly what we were looking for. We will definitely be back to try the pizza and some desserts.

We ordered apps off the dining room menu but they let us order large pizzas instead of the 12" ones. We had calamari and bacon wrapped shrimp. I love that they offer the calamari in both fried and grilled. I was outvoted on the grilled but I have to say that the squid was perfectly cooked. Not chewy or fishy at all. Very tender. The breading was light and not greasy at all. The bacon wrapped shrimp were interesting. The shrimp were huge. They were drenched in BBQ sauce. I thought it was ok but I'm not sure about the flavor combo. We ordered a large plain and a large pepperoni. I thought the plain was delicious. The dough was good and not too much flop. The sauce was a bit sweet, which I like. The only issue is that the cheese and sauce didn't stick to the dough so it slid off while cutting. Overall, I think they did a great job with a large group during weekday lunch.

We often have odd dining experiences, from our first date 20 years ago to last month. This is my second time at Boro, my wife has been there a couple more times. What sets this restaurant apart is not just the food, but the service. Genuine smiles when we arrived and left. We were sat next to a couple with 4 kids. Not a big deal for us as we have two. The kids were great. As they were leaving, only 15 minutes after we sat, our server said they paid for our first round. It was such a nice gesture even though they were no problem to us. Ok, the food and drinks. I've been hooked on this cocktail recently, a Paper Plane. I asked if they could make it and they sure could. It requires one specific brand of Italian spirit so I was really impressed. My wife had a cool cosmo with white cranberry juice and elderflower liqueur. The reason I will come here for one thing and one thing only is their Crispy Chicken Appetizer. It's everything that you ever wanted sesame General Tso's chicken to be, and more! Just enough so that you'll lick the bowl clean and order some to go...I did. The lobster risotto and chicken we had for entrees were fantastic. My second drink was a seasonally warm take on an old fashioned that was served with a flaming sugar cube and had me saying mmmm after every sip. The Zeppoles....theyre gluten free!! My wife loses her mind over these every time. Well done, Boro. I can't wait to come back.

We started by ordering the crispy chicken, and I ordered a drink from the bar. The crispy chicken was the highlight of the night--very flavorful. The drink arrived 15 minutes after ordering, when we were halfway through the appetizer. I could see the bartender moving slowly, and I heard other patrons complaining about the wait time. It happens, and if the rest of the experience was good, I wouldn't have even remembered that. Our waitress brought us some bread, which was a bit stale, but the butter was fantastic. Our main courses were very average--I had the grilled branzino, which is a simple dish but just lacked flavor or anything to make it stand out. My husband ordered the short rib pappardelle, and the pasta itself was good. The sauce was very, very heavy due to too much truffle. By the time we finished eating, we were fully sweating because the restaurant was so hot. It was a very hot day, and maybe the air-conditioning was not working. Again, forgivable, but on top of everything else, it made for an unpleasant experience. Overall, it felt overpriced for the food and service.
