    Chicken Tortellini Soup

Tortellini was disintegrating and broth was watery. I'm never impressed with the soups here.

Today I had the pleasure of visiting Vito's with co workers for lunch and I have to say that from the second I walked in to the second I walked out I was treated with exceptional professionalism and service. As I approached the counter I was met with a bright smile from a young worker. She proceeded to ask what I would like and took my order while maintaining a smile. This is important and I believe she knew it. I ordered a small meatlover calzone that was prepared to the T. The dough was cooked to a perfect crisp which in turn helped all interior ingredients reach the perfect temperature for a perfect bite everytime. Thank you much! To the cooks we appreciate you guys and girls for the hrs spent in making sure all food is prepared to satisfaction EVERYTIME. Consistency is key! I am excited about my new hat purchase. The color is perfect. Thank you Vitos for being a great example of how day to day food service business should run. I hope to see you all again. Humbly Submitted, Andre Watts - Beigene

Very good pizza. Not the best and not the worst. The large pie is more like a medium. The sauce is a bit on the sweeter side and the crust is thin and crispy. They have other options on the menu that are all decent as well. You really can't go wrong with anything here. When I'm in the area it's my go to place but nothing to go out of the way for.

Cardboard circle sprinkled with cheese and tomato sauce....

When I moved back to Lawrenceville, the search was on to find a great pizza place. Vito's seemed to fit the bill. Lately, the quality of the pizza has gone down hill. Last night, we picked up what was basically a flat cardboard circle sprinkled with a bit of cheese and tomato sauce. This is completely unacceptable. I should have looked at it, but I was coming back from a trip and the family was hungry. We called it in, picked it up, and came home to this. I'm afraid the search is back on for a good pie.

Vito's Pizza at the corner of N. Main and W. Delaware in the heart of Pennington, NJ, looks nice enough and has friendly staff, but it failed to make a good first impression. I stopped in for a light dinner before crossing the river to home in Bucks. Great location and a decent layout for a pizza parlor. I just wanted to try their eggplant parmesan submarine and a slice of regular pie as an app. I found a seat at a small table in the dining room, and watched families coming in and out. Seemed like a wholesome crowd. I could see why Vito's was a popular place. It just may not have been my night, or I made bad choices, but my food wasn't what I hoped. The slice had good firm crust and a balance of sauce and cheese, but was overly salty. The eggplant looked great on the plate, with lots of melted parmesan cheese and red gravy atop that, all cradled in a toasted torpedo roll. My approach to big sammies is to go at them with fork and knife first, to clearly taste the contents and separately chew on the bread afterwards. I found the sliced nightshade heavily breaded to a thickness greater than the encased eggplant. Although sauteed, the coating had little taste, yet overwhelmed the intended star of the show. I couldn't taste anything but sauce and cheese. I took a bite of the roll. It was average, and not worth the calories. I felt the heaviness in my stomach for hours, despite consuming only half. Inauspicious beginnings.

I was meeting some friends for a bike ride on a cold January Sunday afternoon. After the ride, we stopped in Vito's for quick lunch. Vito's is clean and pleasant inside and has a lot of seating. The staff was very friendly and efficient. I was pretty hungry and just went with two slices of the plain cheese pizza. The pizza had very good flavors and the crust was on the thinner side and crispy. It was a not the best pizza I have ever have ever eaten, but still very, very solid. Vito's has hot and cold sandwiches and some salads. It is a really good place to stop by when your in the area and want something fast but decent. Pennington is also a cool little town. 3.5 star for Vitos.

We often have odd dining experiences, from our first date 20 years ago to last month. This is my second time at Boro, my wife has been there a couple more times. What sets this restaurant apart is not just the food, but the service. Genuine smiles when we arrived and left. We were sat next to a couple with 4 kids. Not a big deal for us as we have two. The kids were great. As they were leaving, only 15 minutes after we sat, our server said they paid for our first round. It was such a nice gesture even though they were no problem to us. Ok, the food and drinks. I've been hooked on this cocktail recently, a Paper Plane. I asked if they could make it and they sure could. It requires one specific brand of Italian spirit so I was really impressed. My wife had a cool cosmo with white cranberry juice and elderflower liqueur. The reason I will come here for one thing and one thing only is their Crispy Chicken Appetizer. It's everything that you ever wanted sesame General Tso's chicken to be, and more! Just enough so that you'll lick the bowl clean and order some to go...I did. The lobster risotto and chicken we had for entrees were fantastic. My second drink was a seasonally warm take on an old fashioned that was served with a flaming sugar cube and had me saying mmmm after every sip. The Zeppoles....theyre gluten free!! My wife loses her mind over these every time. Well done, Boro. I can't wait to come back.

We started by ordering the crispy chicken, and I ordered a drink from the bar. The crispy chicken was the highlight of the night--very flavorful. The drink arrived 15 minutes after ordering, when we were halfway through the appetizer. I could see the bartender moving slowly, and I heard other patrons complaining about the wait time. It happens, and if the rest of the experience was good, I wouldn't have even remembered that. Our waitress brought us some bread, which was a bit stale, but the butter was fantastic. Our main courses were very average--I had the grilled branzino, which is a simple dish but just lacked flavor or anything to make it stand out. My husband ordered the short rib pappardelle, and the pasta itself was good. The sauce was very, very heavy due to too much truffle. By the time we finished eating, we were fully sweating because the restaurant was so hot. It was a very hot day, and maybe the air-conditioning was not working. Again, forgivable, but on top of everything else, it made for an unpleasant experience. Overall, it felt overpriced for the food and service.

The minute I walked in I knew I came to the right place. It really took me back to those nostalgic days with those familiar smells I grew up loving. Everything is made fresh, and to order at K&S Italian specialties. I wound up buying their pasta salad, fresh Italian bread, imported dry pasta and cookies. This place was busy and I saw many people ordering their different types of sandwiches which are large. I love that they have a sandwich with chicken cutlet, broccoli rabe and fresh mozzarella. They make all different kinds of pasta dishes and they do catering too. As I walked around I noticed they have wonderful imported soppressatas, ( dry cured salami's) fresh pastas, and dry pastas, imported olive oils, balsamic's , Italian cookies, delicious Italian breads. When you walk in, they have various goods (e.g., olive oil, pasta) on the right wall and the meat and cheese cases on the left. There were several workers behind the counter so I did not have to wait long to place my order. I ordered the sub with lettuce, tomato, onion, oil and vinegar. It's normally a 20 minute drive home but because of the rain, it took nearly 30. When we got home, the sub was not soaked to the point where the bread was falling apart, which shows they add just enough and the bread is sturdy. It was just as good as I remember it. I wish I could find someplace similar closer to home but don't mind the drive back to K&S.

I typically never leave negative reviews because I know how difficult customer service and the…read morerestaurant industry can be. We all have bad days, and I truly understand that. However, after witnessing how my elderly father and his group of friends were treated during lunch on Wednesday afternoon, I felt compelled to share this as constructive feedback. My father and several of his friends, all gentlemen in their 70s, 80s, and 90s, met for lunch. There was some confusion about the final size of the party. Initially, they thought there would be six people, but as more friends arrived, the total ended up being eight or nine. One of the gentlemen immediately apologized for the mistake. I completely understand that changing table arrangements can be frustrating. However, what upset me was the way the hostess handled the situation. The first group of gentlemen had already been seated when additional members of their party arrived. Rather than simply moving them to a larger table, the hostess appeared visibly annoyed and began squeezing more and more chairs around the small round table they were already sitting at, repeatedly reminding them that they had said six people. She rolled her eyes, rushed them along, and spoke to them in a curt manner that made these older gentlemen seem like an inconvenience rather than valued guests. What made the interaction particularly confusing was that the dining room on that side of the restaurant was largely empty at the time, aside from people coming in for takeout slices. From my perspective, there appeared to be plenty of room to comfortably accommodate everyone, which made the frustration and lack of patience all the more surprising. As I dropped my father off, I witnessed this interaction myself. I was honestly shocked by how little grace and patience were shown. When the hostess later laughed it off to me and remarked that "they didn't know how many people there were," I simply replied that mistakes happen and that these are older gentlemen who deserved patience and kindness. Before leaving, I even asked that they please take good care of my father and his friends. When my father returned home, I asked how the lunch went. He mentioned that while the server did her job, she and the hostess were both rather rude throughout the experience. I wasn't present for the entire meal, so I can't speak to every interaction, but I can speak to what I personally witnessed, and it broke my heart. If you have an elderly parent or loved one, you understand why this upset me so much. But honestly, this isn't even about age. No one should be made to feel belittled or like a burden. My father taught me to respect my elders, and I was disappointed to see so little respect shown in return. The reason I'm giving two stars instead of one is because the food itself was enjoyed, and thankfully my dad's friends have a wonderful sense of humor. By the end of the day, they were actually laughing together about how mean the ladies had been. But that doesn't change the fact that kindness and patience are just as much a part of hospitality as the food itself. This review is meant as constructive criticism. Service is hard, and everyone can have an off day, but I hope management takes this as an opportunity to remind staff that a little patience and compassion go a long way. For the record, I watched these gentlemen arrive, and there was no complaining, arguing, or rude behavior from them whatsoever, just an honest mistake about the headcount. People remember how you make them feel, and unfortunately, that is what will stay with me most about this visit.
