I can't get enough of Dominic's. When I bite into a slice I transform into a dove and fly all the way to Italy. The sauce pumps through my veins and brings me back to life. I just like the texture of the dough. It has a bit of Neapolitan in it. It's still, ya know, your local pizza joint but it's a little bit different. Also the place is clean. It's a little bit of Heaven as I'm walking out I wonder if this is where angels eat. They also sell David's cookies which are bomb and they have some games on nice HD TVs. I would like to bring to your attention a concerning incident that occurred at Dominic Pizza in Lawrenceville, NJ, where a staff member handling my pizza order failed to maintain proper hygiene practices. The staff member was observed scratching his scalp and ears before handling the dough without washing his hands. When I requested that he wash his hands, he responded abruptly, claiming they (hands) had already been washed despite having recently used the restroom. This raises significant concerns about the hygiene practices in place. I would advise customers to consider alternative dining options where staff prioritize proper hand hygiene. I love this place so much. I work in the area and often order take out for lunch. The food is consistently delicious. The large salads are huge and last me two meals. TWO SLICE LUNCH REVIEW ONLY Dominic's Pizza sits out on Brunswick Pike (Business Route 1), right next to the Route 1 Diner. It has a large menu of standard Italian fare available for lunch and dinner. The space is bright and airy with a large wall of glass facing the road. It has a small outdoor dining area. There are plenty of pizzas on display for reheating. I asked for a slice of Brooklyn Pie and of their regular cheese pizza. With a bottle of water, it came to slightly over $6. Reasonable deal. I requested the sliced to be reheated to well done, so that it would be hot to their core and the crunch would be revived. That is more or less what I got. The Brooklyn rectangle was decent with nice chunky tomato sauce above the cheese, and mozzarella melted on the corners. The crust was nicely crisp. I've had better and I've had worse. The standard slice was very heavy on the cheese and light on the sauce. As a result, when I tried to pick it up from the crust, its tip folded over immediately, and oil began to run off onto the paper plate. The taste was okay, but not something memorable nor worth repeating. My guess is that there is no true pizza chef in the house, and this place is run by the employees who have not fully understood the beauty of pizza with a balance of sauce and cheese, and that too much cheese is not necessarily a good thing. There are too many great pizza joints in the area to find this one to be anywhere near the top of the list. read more

Hands down best delivery pizza I've ever had. We were visiting my fiance's family in town and were hankering for a bite. We were pleasantly surprised to find Domenic's was open on the 4th of July and were the last order of the evening. We opted for the Brooklyn pizza with fresh mozzarella plus basil then added pepperoni and mushrooms. Delivery was prompt and polite. Pizza was oh so good. Sauce was on point, pie was perfectly crisp, mozzarella was ooey gooey, and the fresh basil completely set it over the edge. This will be our go to pizza joint anytime we are visiting the fam jam! This pizza place was recommended by a friend and I am not disappointed they're all beef products they sell no pork because which is good for me being that I do not eat pork. Skeptical about the pepperoni and then the owner showed me the package that it was no pork it was beef I was pleased that he went out of his way to show me the packaging we order there quite a bit never been disappointed. I miss eating pepperoni and sausage on my pizza but now at Dominic's I can have it without the pork. read more

Poor customer service experience. Placed an online order that was incorrectly delivered, drove to the location to address it and the front counter worker refused to acknowledge the claim, stating, "I will not honor the online order and you will pay for the order." After explaining that I was charged for an order they didn't deliver. The front counter worker admitted that he could not view the online order, also stating "The admin did it!!" I thought it was unreasonable to ask a customer to pay twice and adding insult to injury not being able to validate the online service provider. I was shocked he admitted it. No one finished the food that was delivered. Overall, incredibly unsatisfactory experience. Advice: If you can't valid what the "admin" did, don't use the service or take online orders. read more

I was impressed off the bat with the head cook (chef?) - my friend asked for a well-done pie and I wanted regular, and he told us exactly how he'd do it. The pizza was certainly good - if you're a college student in the area, don't expect to find better. Great prices, especially with the student discount, and good desserts available as well. I ordered delivery on Yelp and the delivery was late. I was worry if the order didn't go through so I called the restaurant. Once the guy on the phone found out English isn't my first language he was sooo rude. I had to ask several times for the same questions because I didn't know what he was saying. He says "Ha!?" "What!?" with attitude. He told me the food was on the way when I called but couldn't just say "I'm sorry the order is on the way now it will de delivered in a minute."??? Come on. Good pizza. One does not usually associate many pizza places of having good burgers. Dominic's breaks that mindset. Try a California Cheeseburger there. The owner and workers are really nice guys. I really like the place and the options. Still, they give you this look when you want to order some random item from the menu because they are just used to reheating whatever is up there. BUT DON'T BE AFRAID! Order anything and it'll be good. My only concerns: The alfredo sauce if you order alfredo shrimp pizza or chicken alfredo pizza is VERY SALTY. It's so salty that it's hard to eat the pizza. Ordered a margarita pie last night and got it delivered to my bfs apartment. MAKE SURE you ask for sauce on the pizza... It normally comes as a white pie apparently. They LOAD ON the toppings which is awesome! HUGE pizza, you might even need a fork& knife to eat this one .. Which I'm usually against when it comes to pizza.. But this one needs it! Very filling and you can easily split a pie w 4 people. Our pizza came to $21- which is a bit expensive but well worth it. Because many nights I'm just too lazy to cook, I would say I fall into the frequent customer group for Dominic's. They take about 45 minutes to deliver (I live close in lawrenceville), but the pizzas are always hot and fresh and really good - a close second to TJ's on Main Street in Lawrenceville. The one thing I would caution is even if they gave you the coupon, they don't seem to ever honor it, many times they say you had to have told them about it on the phone, even when we did! The restaurant itself leaves something to be desired, as it's a little run down, but the pizza is always excellent. It's always the same couple of guys working in there and they remember you when you walk in. We haven't had any problem with them taking coupons, but we don't usually get delivery, so that may be why. You can order online from campusfood.com, which I often do before leaving work so that I don't have to call from the train and it's always hot and ready when I get there. They have a large pizza special on Monday and a medium pizza special on Tuesday. All in all, it's a great pizza place. read more

One of the top places to order on business Route 1. Pretty good food. Pizzas are great, and salads are big. I usually throw pizzas on to my pizza stone for 5-10 minutes to crisp it up a little more, or just ask them to make it well done. Delivery is always faster than the approximated time by 10 minutes at least. I guess this is why I usually have to cook it longer myself. Some of the best pizza in the area (I'm hard to please coming from NYC/North Jersey), Quick & friendly service. This has become my favorite pizzeria in the Trenton area. My husband and I moved to Lawrence from Hamilton late last year and moved away from our much-loved local pizza joint. We have made it our mission to find a replacement spot, and this is it. We've been consistently impressed with the quality of the pizza here. Our old place put way too much cheese on their pies, but Dominic's pies have the perfect amount of cheese. Their pepperoni pies also have a generous amount of pepperoni and they are not overly greasy as some pepperoni pizzas tend to be. The crust is crispy and delicious, and the prices are fair. This is some of the best pizza I've ever had! But, DO NOT order for delivery! For some reason, they don't have caller ID like every other pizza place has. And they have to ask you multiple times for your address. I've called at least once a week for the last year and a half, and every time it's a crap shoot. Tonight, after spelling the address 4 times, I had to talk to a different person and spell it another 4 times before they said they got it. Had a take-out Margerita pizza here recently and was pretty happy with it. Compared to several other places I've tried around here, Dominic's is generous with the toppings, which is awesome. The pizza was underdone to my liking, with no brown in the cheese at all. And maybe this is an east coast thing but in Chicago we don't fool around with how long it takes to cook a pizza and how long you want to have to wait to get it in the car and headed home. So when you place a pick-up pizza order in Chicago, you'll often hear the order-taker think about it for a second, and then give you a narrow time window like "it will be ready 25-30 minutes", meaning that it will probably be done in about 27 minutes, and they're not wrong. So if you want to make sure you get it home straight from the oven, show up in 25 min. One person will ring you up while another person watches your pizza in the oven for the last minute or two, they'll throw it in the box and it will probably be hot enough to burn you through the pizza box as you walk it to your car. If you don't want to wait for it at all, come in 30 minutes and it will be freshly boxed and ready for you to bust it home. If you show up more than 10 minutes after their time window, you look like an amateur, because its all about the pizza eating experience. So I was a little put off when, at the end of my phone order at Dominic's, the order-taker mumbled something about "see you soon". See you soon? SEE YOU SOON? What does that even mean???? We're talking about pizza here, man! The making of which is your chosen (or at least current) profession! Timing is everything with this stuff! Come on! Tighten it up! Let's go! This is hands down our favorite pizza place ever! Although, we do not live close, we come quite often when visiting family. The pies are cooked to perfection. We ask for extra sauce because it's just that good. The pie never is soggy with it. The favorites are sausage pizza and meatball, but the plain pie is still spectacular. It surprises us that there are not enough reviews or it doesn't come up as best pies I'm NJ. The pizza crust is my favorite part! Also, our favorite salad is the Supreme salad. I started coming here many, many years ago when it was known as Ciro's pizza. At that time, the pizza was great. Now both the service and quality of the food has deteriorated. They seem to want to stay in the business by providing 'specials' and 'deals', but they need to also maintain the cleaniness of the food. I use to stop by this place 2- 3 times a week for lunch. I would notice that the staff would not wash their hands. For instance, they would begin reading a newspaper, or wiping the counter, and then start preparing the food. One time I asked them why they would use the 'ladies' and not the 'man' bathroom. They admitted that it was due to cleaniness. They need to be more cognizant of preparing healthy food and cleaning the facilities. The staff is rude and the guys who actually prepare the (sandwiches, etc), do NOT speak good English. Which is fine, but it becomes troublesome when they do not know what a customer wants. Overall: I suggest (1) being respectful to customers; (2) being cognizant of the cleaniness of the food preparation and (3) making quality sandwiches and pizza. Not simply cutting the price and advertising 'deals' and 'specials' if in the end the final product will be horrendous. read more

Ordered a pizza from here on a whim. Pizza was delivered less than a half hour later, much quicker than the expect 50 minutes I was told to expect. The sauce was the first part of the pizza that stood out, sweeter than I'm used to but extremely flavorful and delicious. There was ample cheese as well. Overall I was extremely pleased. The only negative is that the crust tasted...like nothing. It wasn't bad, it was a nice delivery vessel for the cheese and sauce but it literally had no flavor. A very odd sensation, perhaps it was a bad batch. Looking forward to getting another pizza from Domincks in the future. read more
