Incredibly solid place for the price point and area. We came with a group of 3 on a Saturday and Sunday. They let us stay pretty late, which was super nice of them. Both times I've gotten the fried eggplant pizza and absolutely loved it (added olives and ricotta cheese). The eggplant is flavored well and actually crispy (and not soggy like a lot of places). Wildflowers never disappoints. We've gone to dinner, just for drinks, and had take out here. It's a local staple. Nice decor, clean, friendly staff. Their wings, pizza and penne vodka are good. They give back to the community, (baskets and gift cards at charity events) we've held dine outs for my daughter's PTO here for fundraising. It's a local company you want to support. If you like being ignored, don't mind dirty rest rooms, beg to order a drink at the bar..., you may not be recognized even if dance on the bar... like Firkin, the people working here are more interested in wandering the bar, watching the sports tv, or disappearing than actually working. I've been to Wildflowers many times over the years as I used to work in Hopewell, NJ and I'd often stop by for a pint after work. Stopped over for lunch this week with my wife and daughter on our way up to drop her at summer camp. Ambiance is sports pub which is definitely my vibe. Cozy, low lighting, Olympics on TV. Perfect! Service was attentive and working hard to manage an outage with their ordering/payment system. No big deal for us. Was able to sneak across the street to Santander Bank for cash since they were unable to process cards. They handled it all in stride! I wanted something lighter and ordered the tuna salad sandwich with fries. My daughter ordered Gorgonzola cheese fries with bacon and my wife got the Best of Both Worlds Pizza which is a white pie with the BOBW's Salad on it. It was amazing. The Gorgonzola cheese fries (which I've had many times) are legendary. Don't skip them! Tuna salad was delicious. Just what you'd expect. Always a good spot and glad we stopped by to have a meal. read more

Adam, the bartender was terrible very rude tried to order. Food was very ignorant about everything didn't have time for anything to explain.

Service was awful, Anthony(our server) was no where to be found most of the night. Had to order my food from him multiple times throughout the night. I'm visiting my family in New Jersey and landed in this delightful restaurant. My cousin told me they had great food, and she was so right! I ordered a Philly steak, onion rings, and sweet potato fries. I also order the Derby Pie for dessert. I haven't had a Philly steak since I moved out west; first to OK and then to Texas. The steaks out west are just different. This one was JUST LIKE I REMEMBERED! The beef was cut exactly like I remember: shaved and chopped. The flavor was excellent, and the fried onions were perfect. I loved it; and it brought back all the memories I had of Philly Steaks when I was much much younger! The fries were very good and the onion ring was perfect. Just the right amount of batter. The Derby Pie had a graham cracker crust and the "pie" itself was more cake-like. It was good, but not the same as the Derby Pie I am used to. I am used to a pie dough crust and a filling that is more like Pecan pie. It was still good. All in all, it was a great experience. Not very pleased. Normally come to Wildflowers and we leave pleased however, today was different. I ordered a medium Garbage truck pizza over the phone for take out and was told the order would be ready in 20-25min. Finally, arrive at Wildflowers and the hostess states that the order was never sent to the kitchen when I was about to pay. So we had to wait an additional 30 min to receive our order. What is the purpose of ordering ahead of you are not going to place the actual order. There was no accommodation or compensation given for the mistake. I understand that everyone makes mistakes and that sometimes the establishment is busy however, the hostess should ensure that the order is accurate and sent to the kitchen especially when it is a take out order. Customers order take out for a reason whether it be they want to enjoy food at home or they are in a rush. When incidents like this occur and compensation is not offered it does not encourage the customer to return to the establishment. Overall, the food is good however, the inconvenience overpowers the food. Ambiance was good very homey feeling. read more

The steak special was not good powdered mash gray steak it was unattractive as it was tasteless. The meatball sauce was bitter. The amount of fries we received for $7.50 simply didn't add up. My family and friends enjoyed our dinner at Wildflowers. The service was attentive and the food was a solid "good" (not great). I ordered a grilled ham and swiss and I liked it. My wife said her burger was tasty. One thing really bugged me - they charge for everything! For my friend's Philly Steak they charged extra for onions, peppers, mushrooms, and cheese. This turned the sandwich into an $18.00 item (too high). My wife said they would have charged her extra for tomato and lettuce on her burger! (I've never seen that before). I don't like being nickled and dimed at restaurants. Lastly, one odd thing with the receipt: the prices shown on the receipt did not add up to the subtotal. The server said that two of the pasta dishes were discounted because my daughters ordered appetizer sizes, but the actual price is not on the receipt. This should be fixed. read more

So far I've had a Chinese salad (not my favorite version of it), ribeye steak (well seasoned and tasty), a steak sandwich (tasty and generous), and tonight the shellfish stew, which was plentiful, generous, fresh, and well-seasoned. Looks like this place is popular with the locals and can get really busy, but we tend to eat dinner around 4 or so, and beat the crowd. I've been coming to Wildflowers for decades. The first time when I was in college on a first date with my now husband. You can't get pizza like this anywhere. It's a truly delicious, crispy, tomato pie. We love the appetizers, especially the boneless buffalo wings. Our kids love the food as well. Service is always great. Every time we go, it brings back so many happy memories. It's also an annual pitstop for us before we cross over into Pennsylvania to view the holiday light show at Shadybrook Farms. Yesterday I enjoyed their lobster bisque which was quite thick but packed with flavor, and a tasty buffalo chicken cheesesteak that came out to perfection. I've dived into their lunch specials quite a bit and one of my favorites so far was their Pastrami Ruben sandwich, it was out of this world. Toasted, crispy, saucy, creamy, meaty, and just simply mouth watering... and with those crispy curly fries it's to die for! Then again, I was a student at TSC, was not old enough to drink legally (but I was practicing regularly) and didn't have a lot of money. So much for memory lane. We came in the other day after a stop at Hopewell Valley Winery and were looking for a light bite. We chose an order of the Gorgonzola Fries and were very disappointed - soggy does not even begin to describe this mess! We also ordered a bar pie and it was quite good - thin, crispy and piping hot. Kind of a divey spot just north of the circle in Pennington, serving a variety of American fare. I've gone a few times with people from the office because it's so close by, and the food tastes good enough. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We went recently for a group lunch, and it was a good experience. Fairly empty for lunchtime, but we were a big group, so our server found us a big table. He was really friendly and joked around with us, which made it fun. For lunch, I ordered one of their specials, fried cod with tartar sauce and cole slaw. Wildflower's has the best Chambersburg-style tomato pie I've ever tasted. If anyone is old enough to remember Creco's in Trenton, it pays homage to that legendary tomato pie. Wildflowers crust is perfect - nice bubbles of crisp dough on the edges, slightly blackened on the bottom. Sauce is deliciously flavorful with a hint of sweetness. Swirls of cheese perfectly proportioned. My personal favorite is the mushroom pie. I've also had the double-crusted "garbage" pie, back in my younger years when I could handle it - that is some serious eating! read more

I have been coming to this location since 1979 when it was Wayside Inn, we entered a Saturday night, cold, but warm inside, we were table of eight served by Dave, in a private room, watching the Eagles obliterate the Giants at the time I left before ten, it was 21-0, I was full, it was me, my sister, her grandson, my cuz, his brother and several friends of his from school, excellent cold Heineken 00, I don't drink anymore unfortunately, at 61, health reasons you abstain, the appetizers were excellent, mussels far diavolo with gorgonzola bread, boneless wings, shrimp cooked plus the every favorite clams followed by two pizzas with onions, sausage, mushrooms and pepperoni enough for eight people and their famous spinach salad with chicken, it's to die for.
