We happened upon this spot for a holiday party. Very cozy small place with a lot of character and charm! Service was great, we were served a variety of appetizers which were all good. Had the steak for dinner, it was good just wish it would of came with some potato of some sort But all in all great experience, you should stop by!!

When I'm in Ewing for business, I always feel like meal options are lacking. That's until I found Marsilio's. This place has great Italian food. Service is okay- wish they'd come by a bit more often. I do recommend making reservations (OpenTable) - they're not open Mondays and Tuesdays and on a Wednesday, it got packed. Looked like they had a lot of regulars. I love that they give a table pasta to share. I've been twice and I enjoyed the Sauvignon blanc and my arugula salad with salmon. Salmon was cooked perfectly and the citrusy dressing was refreshing and delightful. Will come back if I'm in town for work again. Everyone at the table was very happy with their meals- most completely emptied their plates. The chicken parm was apparently fantastically lightly breaded- so I'll try that next.

Food was very good, price point was decent, nice atmosphere. Service was painstakingly SLOW. If service is improved this moves to a 4 star review. If you don't have two and half hours to waste due to slow service, avoid this place.

Perhaps the best take out order I have experienced during Covid! Back in the day, I was a semi-regular at Marsillio's Kitchen in Chambersburg, the original Italian neighborhood in Trenton, NJ. This was my first visit to their new digs on Upper Ferry Road in Ewing. Gotta say, I was impressed. Ordering ahead by phone, I arrived a few minutes before the food was ready to go. That gave me time to look around and snap a number of photos of the house. The double doors to the main dining room were glass panel, which acted as a filter and smoothed the edges and gave a romantic antique patina. I look forward to enjoying dinner there safely. The food was packed well and survive the 10 minute drive home in good shape. Marsillio's has a robust red sauce menu, and a clever notion of offering, "I Can't Decide," possibilities. I went with both its Everything Parm (chicken, meatball, eggplant), and Everything Francaise (veal, chicken, shrimp, artichoke), along with Pasta Primavera and Seasonal Roasted Vegetables. With side green salad, penne red gravy and small amount of good sesame covered loaf, this was plenty for the four of us, with leftovers. I sampled a bit of it all, and found each item distinctly delicious. The Francaise was nicely sautéed in lemon and white wine, and the Parmigiana also pan fried with a light touch allowing the caramelized crannies to shine. The pasta was bathed in a semi-sweet red gravy (side dish) and plenty of veggies for the primavera tasted of a mild garlic infusion. Loved it all. While true that prices have gone up in this era of pandemic and inflation, the cost seemed reasonable, if not exactly inexpensive. Still, worth it when excellent in house dining can still be a challenge. I would definitely do this again.

Very long wait for our food - ok it was busy and staffing an issue for everyone. We were offered bread 3 times and refused it. i ordered Chicken Cacciatore noted it's a favorite recipe that's been on the menu for years. What I got was broiled chicken with a wedge of lemon. This is embarrassingly pathetic. if they couldn't make it they needed to just tell me that.

Marsilio's Kitchen went above and beyond for my bridal shower. We began the afternoon with drinks and light food in the tented patio area. It was absolutely beautiful! We went inside for a seated lunch with multiple menu options. The food was incredible. They were very accommodating of dietary allergies and overall, the staff was very attentive. Glasses were never empty! I highly recommend hosting your next event at Marsilio's.

We ordered a pierogi appetizer to share and some holiday cocktails to start. For entrees we had pork chops that were cooked to perfection and served over a sweet potato purée with a blackberry gastric. We also had the 7 fishes over linguine offered in red, white, hot or hot. I chose red hot. It was delicious with calamari, shrimp, lobster, mussels, clams, and fish. The penne vodka with sausage and peas was also delicious and a generous portion. The salmon dish was also excellent but had barely any risotto and 6 string beans. Overall, Blooming Grove is a favorite of our extended family and we visit fairly often. The only room for improvement is the portion size of some of the dishes in comparison to others.

The service was somewhat slow, but the waitress was very nice. Their beer was in cans or bottles. I ordered a Head Hunter IPA and it had a date code from the summer, so their stock was a bit old. I split a bowl of crab bisque $15 with my son. It was ok on spices/flavor and had small strips of crab, but the body was on the thinner side and I didn't think it was creamy enough. A miss, plus the guy who brought it out must have had the soup shift on the walk over so he had his thumb on top of the spillage that went onto the rim. I should have sent it back, but we were hungry. The small cornbread muffins that we had before our meals came out were tasty. After discussing the lunch menu with the waitress she said the Yardley Burger was very popular. $19 - roasted tomato, boursin cheese, hand cut fries. My son ordered the chicken cutlet - $18 fresh mozzarella, vodka aioli and chips. He skipped the sauteed spinach that was supposed to come on it. They took awhile to come out. The burger had a ridiculous amount of boursin on it (plenty of herbs and garlic coming off it), the meat was bland and the hand cut fries were a tad soggy. Even the bun was weak, so for $19 they can keep it. My sons sandwich was much better. The vodka aioli flavor was a home run with the thick cutlets. Still not worth $18, but much better than the burger. I had a Yards Washington Porter with my burger that slightly helped my disappointment. This place only gets the 4th star because I love history and the building has it. It was just OK other than that. Maybe a dinner/date night is in order to see what these higher yelp reviews are all about. Their entree prices seem much more in line. For lunch, I'm a no.

They recently acquired MD brewery DuClaw as well and continue to brew their beers and distribute under the same name. They distribute widely across NJ, PA, NY so it's pretty easy to find at liquor stores and restaurants, and I've had their beers many times over the years. Their beer is pretty solid with some fun and inventive offerings. My girlfriend and I stopped into their taproom for the first time on a Sunday afternoon and it was quite possibly the worst taproom we've ever been to out of 80+ NJ breweries we have visited together. It looks like they concentrate all of their time and effort on production and distribution and have not spent any time creating a decent place to hang out. Almost no decor. All plastic cups (a personal pet peeve of mine in breweries). Not even a permanent bar of any kind. There were only four other people the whole time we were there so the atmosphere was pretty dead. We ordered flights, and the names of the beers were written in abbreviations right on the cups which made it impossible to read on the darker beers. But the beer was very good! We really enjoyed our flights and bought a six pack of the imperial pumpkin ale to bring home with us. We'll continue to drink their beer, but I don't recommend coming to the taproom at all.
