Had lunch with a dear friend on Friday. She ordered a chicken cutlet salad - lots of greens and she very much enjoyed it. I ordered a veal dish which was were 2 pieces of veal wrapped around cheese and spinach with an accompanying blush sauce. The sides were mix squash and pepper and sliced potatoes with a delicious creamy sauce. Unfortunately the veal was in the tough side. Service was impressive. They bring you not one but two types of bread for free! One is a delicious garlic bread, the other is reminiscent of tomato pie but didn't taste the freshest. This restaurant may suffer from too many options on their menu. We had specials to choose from and a very extensive menu. When I looked up and saw my nephews plowing down on some delicious looking calamari with mussels I shouted where the hell was that on the menu lol, they assured me it was on the menu. I went with one of the specials that consisted of veal medallions with prosciutto on it accompanied by eggplant. I really don't like prosciutto on my veal as I believe veal is special enough of a dish that does not warrant the need for prosciutto but obviously its a simple fix pull it off if you so desire. I enjoyed my dish but if I return I would go with another option. My gf wasn't a huge fan of the gluten free pasta primavera as she said she had to add a lot of parmesan cheese to add flavor to the dish. It could have been lacking flavor as she was implicit to make sure no gluten makes it way into the meal. I am happy to report she did not feel sick after the meal. This is also a BYOY restaurant which is nice as it cuts down on the cost of the meal if you choose to indulge with some wine or alcohol of choice with your meal. There dessert selection is pretty good, they even have lava cake which is hard to find at many restaurants. We had a large party of nine people and they were able to accommodate on relatively short notice. The wait staff was very good and on top of things. I guess I should have started my review with this and not end but one last mention, they had three soups to offer, chicken noodle was there soup of the day, pasta fagioli, and seafood bisque. I went with the bisque but was pretty confushed when it appeared there was noodles in it and no seafood that I could see with my eyes, the seafod bisque broth was nice but it wasn't what I was expecting. We went to Carlucci's for a birthday dinner. The homemade bread & appetizers such as stuffed mushrooms & bacon wrapped scallops were excellent. But our main courses were a disappointment. The stuffed salmon was very dry and the Chicken Stephanie was tough and chewy with rubbery shrimps. The food appeared to have been sitting before it was served. When we first moved to Langhorne their food was fantastic (2015). We used them for catering and special dinners. We ordered from them for my mother in laws birthday this past year and again tonight, both disappointing. Wanted to give them another chance but I just can't order from them again especially when I paid almost $100 for not a lot of food, was betting on the quality. The entrees were both DRY. The salad had one tomato and one slice cucumber. The lobster bisque was so bland. The pizza was sub-par. I organized a group outing of 24 people and communicated with two different managers several times beforehand. I was very clear that our attendance numbers can fluctuate, and both managers assured me this would not be a problem. However, they must not have informed ourserver of the number of attendees fluctuating, when we were finished eating and I asked for the check, the waiter picked up one of the limited menus we were provided and told me that since we had 24 attendees rather than 28 we would need to purchase four additional meals to take home. I informed him that I told both managers that we could not guarantee how many members would be there. Upon discussing this with the manager, we were only charged for the 24 in attendance. During my first phone call to Carlucci's to make arrangements, the manager also made a dismissive comment implying that our group "couldn't afford" the restaurant, which was unprofessional and unnecessary. And to think we were charged an additional $50 charge to make arrangements with them. The food itself was disappointing. At a table of eight people, they brought out one small plate of tomato‑pie‑style bread to share. The chicken parm was so thin -- about 1/8 of an inch -- that it barely resembled a proper entrée. We also ordered $1 cannoli that were about 1.5 inches long. Between the tiny portions and the underwhelming dishes, the meal did not match the price point or the expectations set when we booked. Several members of our group expressed similar dissatisfaction. I don't believe this was personal; it felt more like a reflection of how they handle groups in general. Our group has been going to different restaurants most weekends for almost three years and this was by far our worst experience. For anyone considering hosting a shower, party, or group event here, I would strongly encourage you to think twice and ask very specific questions about portions, service, and expectations. Our experience did not align with what was promised, and because of the lack of professionalism and poor value, we will not be returning. read more

Simple potatoes with a white sauce were so yummy as were my favorite grilled zucchini carrots and peppers. We would have had the gratis soup or salad had we known. We both ordered the same meal which came with soup or salad. The cream of seafood bisque was edible but the seafood was simply shredded imitation crab and a few pieces of minced shrimp. The lemon chicken was actually good but that was the only thing we ate entirely. The scalloped potatoes were so incredibly bland we didn't touch them; it's like they just poured cream on top of them with no herbs, garlic, spices, and my adding black pepper didnt help. We didn't bother with dessert. How on earth this restaurant has a 4.5 rating is beyond us!!! It looked and tasted like food from from a senior home cafeteria. Ive been told it was good several years ago but it's really gone downhill. They wont last much longer, even Olive Garden has to be better than this. read more

My daughter and I had dinner here last night, and I left wishing I had spent far more time at Carlucci's when I lived in Yardley. Israel and Jocelyn were especially attentive, sweet, and genuinely supportive throughout our evening. Their hospitality elevated an already fantastic experience. I truly cannot say enough about the food--my daughter and I were blown away (and I wish I had taken pictures!). She loved it so much she ordered a second dish to take home for the next day. As someone who eats carb-free, I was incredibly grateful for how gracious and accommodating the kitchen was--no fuss, no awkward substitutions, just pure, delicious perfection. My daughter absolutely raved about her veal, the rotini salad, and the mushroom barley soup to boot. And a special nod to the BYO--near and dear to my heart. I came to Carlucci's for a casual weeknight dinner. The homemade marinara had an incredible flavor, making a simple appetizer taste outstanding. Our server did a great job answering questions and offering input on individual entrees. I ordered the Ravioli Bellini, and my friend ordered the Chicken Villagio without the prosciutto. The meals come with a soup or salad; both of us opted in for the Caesar Salad. The server brought out another exceptional bread with our salads. It was a homemade puffy bread topped with fresh olive oil, garlic, and grated Parmesan. The ingredient quality and flavor made the bread exceptional. Both meals were presented exceptionally when they arrived. I could tell that the Ravioli Bellini was homemade from the perfect pasta texture and the flavorful filling. The pink sauce had just the right amount of creaminess to make the dish decadent without being extremely heavy. Every element of the Chicken Villagio was excellent; the chicken was perfectly crispy, and the tortellini tasted just as fresh as the ravioli. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. We had Christmas Eve dinner at Carlucci's. Everything was wonderful except for our entrées. Their homemade bread is fantastic! Our appetizers, stuffed mushrooms and bacon wrapped scallops with crab meat were outstanding! Unfortunately our entrées were not very good. The Stuff Salmon was very very dry. The salmon was so dryed out that the only thing that saved it was the moist crabmeat inside. The Chicken Stephanie had the same issue. The chicken was dry and chewy and the shrimp was rubbery. My husband said it seemed like it was sitting for a while and then heated and plated. Even though the appetizers and service were both excellent, we did not entirely enjoy our Christmas dinner. read more

Crispy, juicy chicken cutlet smothered in rich, tangy marinara,, topped with the perfect layer of gooey, melted mozzarella and parmesan, all nestled in a warm, toasted roll every bite is pure comfort food bliss. The balance of flavors is spot on,and the portion is generous without being overwhelming. You can tell they use quality ingredients and the sandwich is made with care. I've had chicken parm from plenty of places but this one stands out. It's everything you want in a classic Italian-American favorite, and then some. The dearth of non-chain food restaurants near Sesame Place is striking. There's not unless you drive further out, what's there is kind of limited (ie: a lunch only Mediterranean place), and if you're going to go further then you're better off going much further to get closer to Philly. Rather than deal with all of that, we decided to stick to habit and just hit a pizzeria. Carlucci's is technically a chain too, but it's family owned and looks/feels like a NJ-area pizzeria. They had a nice dining room in the back; place is a bit maze-like but not too crazy to figure out. Service was very friendly and attentive, especially with the kiddo. The table next to us were absolute trash, and they still were courteous to them. Menu is a freaking novel of Italian classics along with more creative stuff. For my main I got a pasta special in a cream sauce with shrimp, while my wife got chicken parm and my son got pasta. Pasta was nothing crazy but was tasty enough, and the shrimp were very good quality (better than most formal-ish restaurants). My wife loved her food, and my son refused to eat in lieu of playing with some sea animal toys. The salads we got were good too; bread dosed with tomato sauce was a little overkill but whatever. This was right on point with what we needed, and realistically was the best option in the vicinity. Would definitely come back and maybe try the actual pizza. read more

Came here because my friend recommended this place. Based off the reviews, I thought I couldn't go wrong. Boy was I in for a surprise! First, the Uber Eats prices are totally different than the carry out prices direct from the restaurant. Normally, Uber Eats is more expensive. Here, it was the other way around (e.g. the crab cakes were $27 on Uber Eats, although lunch price, but it did show that same amount at check out; but on my receipt it was $32!). Note that the Yelp dinner menu showed the crab cakes as being $28! Why the $4-5 dollar difference?!?! Another example is the pizza, which was $17 but listed on Uber Eats and even the menu through Yelp at $13 and $14! So, I'm surprised that Yelp lists this place as $$ when my bill was $85!?!?! Second, my to go order didn't include utensils! The number I gave for the order was an out of town area code, so the person who took my order should know I'm not taking it home to eat. Had to ask the hotel for utensils. Third, the food overall was alright. What stood out for me was the puffy garlic bread (which was $3 for carry out, but seemingly complimentary if dining in), and the crab cakes. The linguini scoglio and pizza margherita was just okay. The linguini was lacking in flavor. Worth mentioning is that my crab cakes included pasta or vegetables and soup or salad. When I asked what pasta I could choose from, I was given several choices. I decided on the gnocchi, and found that I was charged $2 extra for it. Never was I told there would be an upcharge for that! We recently hosted a baby shower for my niece-in-law with 45 guests. From the initial phone call to the final goodbye and thank you to the staff, everything went smoothly and exceeded our expectations. We were able to enter the room an hour early to decorate, and the staff assisted with bringing in decorations and gifts. It was a surprise, and when we checked in with the mom-to-be, the hostess ensured the table was ready so the guests would remain quiet as we approached - it worked. The service staff were efficient and friendly, the food was delicious, and many guests praised the wonderful service and food. The staff delivered on every request we made. Provolone cheese, cured meats, artichoke hearts weren't out favs. (Hard, meh and blah, respectively) Crab & spinach soup-did not taste homemade to us and didn't really find any crab Bread with tomato sauce-not visually appealing, so can't opine on the taste Crabmeat bruschetta-pretty good; tasty and good amount of lump crab meat Steak dish-Good, steak cooked as ordered Linguini scoglio-A fav. Pasta and seafood were cooked well and the sauce was sooo good, you just have to use some of the delicious garlic bread to sop it up Garlic bread-a house made garlicky ball of deliciousness served on top of oil for dipping Service-service really could have been better. Refilling water, opening new bottles of our byo items, providing replacement plates for our bread that was brought out after our appetizer plates were already taken. Our server didn't anticipate any of these. Nonetheless, we would definitely return. Unbeknownst to me, I was about to receive one of the largest amounts of food, albeit delicious, that I've had in ages. I was never here before, so I asked the waitress if an appetizer was too much with the size of the meal; she said it was not, so I ordered the Spicy Cauliflower special. Ha!! I certainly shouldn't have had an appetizer, but it was very good, however I think they should explain that it is deep fried. They also serve you complimentary focaccia (4 pc) with warm marinara- yum, I was hungry. The meal itself, came with soup or salad, so I ordered their special soup of the day, Chicken Pasti (like chicken noodle)...it was a big bowl, not just a cup! Okay, I was now pretty full! LOL! My pasta dish, Bosellini alla Vodka, was delicious! See the menu description in my pic. I asked to also have broccoli with it; I thought I'd get a dish of pasta with broccoli but I got a side of broccoli, which was fine, and everything was very good. To my surprise before my pasta arrived, I was served "puffy bread" - a pillowy soft hollow bread, kinda like naan, with EVOO & parmigiana...oh my yum!!
