Rigatoni, meatball and last slice of pizza.
    Mark G.

A fairly new place in our neighborhood that we have been meaning to try. It is about 515pm on a Wednesday. We are the only diners here. Service was prompt and friendly. It is a BYOB and we brought a nice bottle of Barolo. Had to open it ourselves. Ambiance is Scandinavian airline lounge very spartan. Metal chairs were uncomfortable. But cloth napkins. Menus are hard to read tiny words on a black background. Our server gave a couple of readable take out menus. Light Sinatra tunes were playing. We ordered a small Margarita pie and Nona's bolognese with pappardelle and eggplant parm with Rigatoni. The pizza came timely and was obviously just made. It was quite tasty and had a nice toasty crust. The sauce was very good. My eggplant was very good. Two large pieces of eggplant. Toasty breading and just the right amount of cheese and sauce. The side of rigatoni was large. I could not finish this and brought it home. The portions are very large and could be smaller but who is complaining. My wife loved her meal but was unable to finish even half of it. The enormous meatball was sampled but also brought home. A bit too dense for me but good. They charge a service fee for credit card payments we paid cash. They also do a brisk take out business. This is a nice place with very good northern Italian food. It is also in our neighborhood. I really do not think we need any more Italian restaurants but this place is a great addition. We say Food "a", service "b", ambiance "c", value "a". We will return. Mark & Nancy.

    Oh My Mozzarella

The Drunken Burrata Bread Bowl is the best pasta dish I've ever had at a restaurant. There just also happened to be great service (Alexa) and the restaurant is in a great location. Most delicious weapon I ever had... they call it a mozzarella stick. It was friggin huge!

So excited to have this Italian restaurant open up in our town! It's not a chain, but a wonderful family-owned spot. We went on a Saturday night at 7:00 and had a short wait -- which actually made me happy to see how busy they were! It's a BYOB restaurant (always a plus in my book), and the portions are huge! My husband had the Nona's Bolognese, which he really enjoyed -- and he even had enough left over for another meal. I had the Colors of Italy, which was full of flavor and absolutely delicious. They don't serve bread for the table, but we ordered the garlic bread -- and wow, it was amazing! This restaurant is a little off the beaten path, but it's clear they're already building a loyal following. We'll definitely be back, and I highly recommend giving them a try!

    Chicken parm and shell father

The food is so fresh and very big portions. We started with a Caesar salad that was delicious. Then got chicken parm and the shellfather dish (I did not shrimp and got extra clams) in white. Both were delicious. With the seafood dish, a lot of shells fell apart so there were small pieces in the dish. If that didn't happen, would've been 5 stars. Definitely coming back!

Abruzzi Ristorante has a minimalist utilitarian decor offset by an exceptionally rich marinara sauce that bathed my eggplant parmigiana and rigatoni bowl in very flavorful chunky tomato sluree that saw me finish the huge quantity of food, so as not to miss a single drop. Service was friendly and competent from beginning to end. The only thing missing was a basket of crusty Italian bread for mopping up any sauce escaping my fork (although I was very tempted to just use my fingers). 5 Red Gravy Stars for Abruzzi

Let's get one thing straight: Abruzzi's isn't just a restaurant it's a carb-wrapped love letter from someone's Nonna who won't let you leave without a full belly and a guilt trip if you skip dessert. From the moment you walk in, the aroma wraps around you like a weighted blanket made of garlic, basil, and generational trauma. It's warm, it's familiar, and you immediately start wondering if they'd adopt you. The sauce? Oh, the sauce. It clings like your high school ex, except in this case, it's welcome. Rich, slow-cooked, and unapologetically red, it doesn't just sit on the pasta. It *belongs* there. Every twirl of spaghetti whispers sweet nothings to your taste buds while the meatballs soft, seasoned, and about the size of a toddler's fist remind you that sometimes love is marinara-scented. Service is the kind where they remember your name, your order, and the fact that you said you were "trying"not to eat bread... which they ignore anyway and bring you a basket warm enough to melt your resistance. And dessert? If you leave without trying the cannoli or tiramisu, you're committing a crime against happiness. Call it culinary treason. Abruzzi's isn't fancy. It's better. It's that perfect mix of soul, sauce, and sass that makes you feel like you've come home even if your actual home is a microwave and frozen ravioli. Eat here once, and you'll already be planning your next visit before the check arrives. Mangia, my friend. Mangia.

Finally went with the fam to try out Abruzzi Ristorante today. You need to go. That's all I need to say. Just go. The food is phenomenal. Hands down. Main dishes and appetizers ordered between the family, from top to bottom, left to right: CFD (Crab fra Diavolo), Chicken Parm, Drunken Rigatoni with chicken, The Marg pizza, Ravi-oh-love (ravioli), Oh my mozzarella (The 1lb mozzarella "bat"!!!, Holy Ricotta! (THE BEST ricotta and hot honey dip EVER!), and the Balsamic Bruschetta. Everything was incredible! We'll definitely be back!

2 slices of lunch meat for $16.00 - terrible and flavorless

Worse $80 we ever spent. Flavorless food, and we had to just pay and leave once we saw roaches on the walls and floors.

On both visits the servers were friendly and very attentive. My son and I enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune on our pizza visit. The place wasn't packed, but you can tell everyone there were regulars. Food wise they are just ok. The cheesesteak comes with a toasted roll, it had a decent portion of meat and cheese, but it was just ok. It wasn't overly greasy or bad, but flavor wise it wasn't a wow sandwich. My wife felt the same way about the grilled chicken caesar salad. The greens were fresh, the dressing was fine, but the chicken was just meh. The fries were worthless, undercooked and not good at all. Pizza wise on the second trip my son and I asked for well done. It came out with a crispy crust, the sauce needed more flavor, cheese was thick and had to be a blend. It was just below average, nothing bad/nothing great. The garlic knots may have been the best food I experienced. They were fresh, soft and crispy on the outside. There are far better options in the area, but the service was great and the people were nice.

As I was leaving I asked the waitress to give me a box for the 12 wings that I couldn't finish. She said NO , the are for dine-in only so I have to eat them here or throw 'em out. I spoke to a manager to no avail. I should have taken the $6 out of the tip but I didn't want to punish the waitress. Needless to say , I'll not ever be returning to this place again and BTW, the food here was average, at best.

On both visits there were plenty of open tables. The service is fine, they had a couple of young kids taking care of us. They were kind and polite with prompt service. The inside was nice and wasn't looking too bad for a Friday and Saturday evening. We ordered fresh pizza's and they were out quickly both times. I'd say if you like slightly more cheese than sauce you'll like this pizza. The extra cheese by design gave it a little bit more of a saltier profile, but not too much. For my liking, I would have rather had a bit more sauce. The crust itself had a very light char and came out a tad crispy, but soft on both occasions. I couldn't find anything wrong with their pizza, but I couldn't find anything that stood out either. It's just decent average pizza. On both trips they brought me a to go box for the remainder of my pizza that was a slice or two too small. Not nit-picking, but just a minor observation. Both Large Pizza's came out to around $20 which is slightly higher than some closer and better competitors.

Calamari was a good one. I ordered the chicken française, which was even better as leftovers the next day since it marinated in the sauce. Hubs enjoyed his veal Marcella.
