So excited to have this Italian restaurant open up in our town! It's not a chain, but a wonderful family-owned spot. We went on a Saturday night at 7:00 and had a short wait -- which actually made me happy to see how busy they were! It's a BYOB restaurant (always a plus in my book), and the portions are huge! My husband had the Nona's Bolognese, which he really enjoyed -- and he even had enough left over for another meal. I had the Colors of Italy, which was full of flavor and absolutely delicious. They don't serve bread for the table, but we ordered the garlic bread -- and wow, it was amazing! This restaurant is a little off the beaten path, but it's clear they're already building a loyal following. We'll definitely be back, and I highly recommend giving them a try!

The Drunken Burrata Bread Bowl is the best pasta dish I've ever had at a restaurant. There just also happened to be great service (Alexa) and the restaurant is in a great location. Most delicious weapon I ever had... they call it a mozzarella stick. It was friggin huge!

Abruzzi Ristorante has a minimalist utilitarian decor offset by an exceptionally rich marinara sauce that bathed my eggplant parmigiana and rigatoni bowl in very flavorful chunky tomato sluree that saw me finish the huge quantity of food, so as not to miss a single drop. Service was friendly and competent from beginning to end. The only thing missing was a basket of crusty Italian bread for mopping up any sauce escaping my fork (although I was very tempted to just use my fingers). 5 Red Gravy Stars for Abruzzi

The food is so fresh and very big portions. We started with a Caesar salad that was delicious. Then got chicken parm and the shellfather dish (I did not shrimp and got extra clams) in white. Both were delicious. With the seafood dish, a lot of shells fell apart so there were small pieces in the dish. If that didn't happen, would've been 5 stars. Definitely coming back!

Let's get one thing straight: Abruzzi's isn't just a restaurant it's a carb-wrapped love letter from someone's Nonna who won't let you leave without a full belly and a guilt trip if you skip dessert. From the moment you walk in, the aroma wraps around you like a weighted blanket made of garlic, basil, and generational trauma. It's warm, it's familiar, and you immediately start wondering if they'd adopt you. The sauce? Oh, the sauce. It clings like your high school ex, except in this case, it's welcome. Rich, slow-cooked, and unapologetically red, it doesn't just sit on the pasta. It *belongs* there. Every twirl of spaghetti whispers sweet nothings to your taste buds while the meatballs soft, seasoned, and about the size of a toddler's fist remind you that sometimes love is marinara-scented. Service is the kind where they remember your name, your order, and the fact that you said you were "trying"not to eat bread... which they ignore anyway and bring you a basket warm enough to melt your resistance. And dessert? If you leave without trying the cannoli or tiramisu, you're committing a crime against happiness. Call it culinary treason. Abruzzi's isn't fancy. It's better. It's that perfect mix of soul, sauce, and sass that makes you feel like you've come home even if your actual home is a microwave and frozen ravioli. Eat here once, and you'll already be planning your next visit before the check arrives. Mangia, my friend. Mangia.

Finally went with the fam to try out Abruzzi Ristorante today. You need to go. That's all I need to say. Just go. The food is phenomenal. Hands down. Main dishes and appetizers ordered between the family, from top to bottom, left to right: CFD (Crab fra Diavolo), Chicken Parm, Drunken Rigatoni with chicken, The Marg pizza, Ravi-oh-love (ravioli), Oh my mozzarella (The 1lb mozzarella "bat"!!!, Holy Ricotta! (THE BEST ricotta and hot honey dip EVER!), and the Balsamic Bruschetta. Everything was incredible! We'll definitely be back!

We shared a literally beautiful antipasto for an appetizer. It boasted fresh mozzarella balls, eggplant, artichokes, sweet red peppers, prosciutto, and olives. We had a good and soft loaf of bread with a yummy olive oil and balsamic dip too. Our meals were ALL tremendous! We had pasta dishes - gnocchi marsala and fettuccine with clams - EXCELLENT! I had plenty of sauce left to dip the soft bread into :) The other couple had octopus (appetizer) and seafood atop squid ink pappardelle pasta. They loved their dishes as well. Of course we didn't have room for dessert, but our chocolate wine and other wines were definitely sufficient. BYOB's are great and money saving. This place is a bit of a haul but I hope to get back in the future !

They serve a delicious homemade bread that's warm when it's brought the table. In addition, it's accompanied by a dish of olive oil, with balsamic vinegar and what I believed to be a spicy dusting of pepper. It was a little too spicy for me - however, I did like the addition of the balsamic as a change from just olive oil. I would skip the pepper though, unless you like spice. We ordered the Polpette as an appetizer; it's a 'tradition' of mine. If meatballs are on the menu, I will always order them. These lamb, veal and beef meatballs were very good, and the marinara sauce they came in was excellent! The sauce is actually a 'roasted pomodoro' gravy - which is an 'intensified' version of a classic Italian sauce. It's made by roasting the tomatoes at a very high heat and almost caramelizing them. A little feta was added to the sauce, which really highlighted those meatballs!! We split the order - as 5 meatballs is quite a large appetizer! We decided to share two entrees - the Beef Short Ribs and the Lobster Ravioli. I always ask if the short ribs are lean - our server responded they were very lean...and they were. Soft, tender and very flavorful large chunks of beef, with a deliciously rich gravy with mushrooms on a bed a creamy garlic mashed potatoes! It was a superb dish! The website said the Short Ribs were the restaurant's most popular meal. Next, the Lobster Ravioli. The dish was a very 'delicate' one, with a very subtle brandy cream sauce. It had chopped jumbo shrimp and peeled cherry tomatoes with the raviolis. While the sauce tasted fine, it needed 'something' - we added pepper which helped. The raviolis were good - we couldn't taste lobster in the cheese of the raviolis - we assumed it was there. The chopped shrimps though provided a nice additional seafood flavor. I like my raviolis tender - the kind that almost melt in your mouth. The pasta here was firmer - a little more 'al dente', but it was fine. We ended our meal with the Chocolate Mousse. Served in a martini glass, the mousse had a velvety texture with a deep dark chocolate flavor. It was very rich yet light and fluffy; a good choice for dessert!

All of the issues were food related, not service. I ordered the chicken parmesan. My friends order the salmon and the seafood manicotti. My friend's salmon was perfect, the rest not so much. I could not cut the chicken parm with my knife, that is how tough it was. I demonstrated this to our server who offered a steak knife but I declined. The chicken was just as hard to chew as it was to cut. My friend's seafood manicotti was very fishy and clearly not fresh seafood. She ate half of hers and ended up just not finishing the rest. The server did offer to get us other options but we had a show at parx and didn't have time to wait for new entrees. I do think this location is beautiful. The garden room where we sat was lovely and the waterfall outside was a beautiful view. The prices were a little higher than most local Italian places. Between the higher prices and the food issues I described I probably will not return.

The inside is simple and classy, uncluttered and clean, but most of all a quality Italian eatery. For a Tuesday evening it was pretty slow. The waitress who helped me was personable and treated me like family. She tried to give me the "everything is good here", but I wasn't having it! I appreciated her patience as we perused through the menu. I finally went with the popular Saporito - Chicken/Veal (I chose Veal at $35), Egg Battered Scaloppine. Vermouth Sauce, Spinach, Mozzarella topped with crab meat. For my pasta side I chose was spaghetti and it came with a salad. I was loving the Vermouth Sauce, it was sweet and not too thick/watery. The Veal was a little tough, but was better after soaking up the tasty sauce like a sponge. The crab meat was plentiful and fresh. I was kind of shocked they don't give you bread with your meal. I'm not a huge bread guy, but it's a staple at Italian eateries. I enjoyed a nice glass of a dry oaky cabernet my new friend recommended. They had a decent sized wine bottle/glass menu. I'm not a wine expert, but many styles were represented and it seemed like the management is on top of their selections and recommendations. I will certainly return for a family dinner or date night with my wife. Thanks guys!
