Large family table!

We have been there many times, but yesterday we had a party of 19 including some teens and children. Yes we did make a reservation in advance. The staff was cordial, accommodating and very efficient. We could not have asked for better seating based on the size of our group. Everyone enjoyed their meal. We will be back again.

If you know me, you know I loveee a good salad and cocktail. This Ahi Tuna Caesar Salad was fireeee. JB Dawsons has sooo many great food options, it's perfect for a family gathering where everyone likes something different! Be prepared for leftovers, their portions are big!!

My bff and I came for a nice cheese burger and a house salad. The service was amazing. Delicious and fresh ice tea. The cheese burger was yummy and hit the spot!

Wagyu burger and fries

I love JB Dawson's. The restaurant has dark lighting and the service is always great. I ordered cheesesteak egg rolls as an appetizer and then got the wagyu burger with fries as my main. The eggrolls were so good. They were pretty greasy, but I expect that from this dish. The horseradish sauce was too strong for me, but my brother really enjoyed it. My burger was great and cooked perfectly. The fries were almost like shoe string fries, but a little thicker. Overall, it was a great experience and I'd go again.

Walking in I felt so cozy & comfortable like if I was sitting in my living room. I kinda expected someone to hand me a blankie & pass me the remote. I got seated right away & wasted no time ordering the "twisted shrimp" (planko covered fried, crispy shrimp tossed in a creamy spicy sauce laid out on a bed of lettuce) as my appetizer. For my entree,I went all in & chose chicken tenders,1/2 a rack of ribs(pork),mashed potatoes,& fries. I def was getting a doggie bag. My app came out 1st of course as it should.I felt like a puppy w/ my tongue drooling out. The shrimp were really small which was a bummer. However, the flavor was there & the creamy, spicy sauce was giving. My entree came out shortly after but not too fast. I needed to sulk in my app. My plate was humongous. I felt like I was in a man vs. food challenge. The ribs were well done but that's the way I like it. The meat was falling off the bones. Superb like a chef's kiss.I wish it did have more BBQ sauce but it probably would've took away from the flavor. The mashed potatoes were creamy & had the right amount of seasoning. The chicken tenders & fries were crispy & bursted my tastebuds w/ every bite. I also treated myself to a virgin pina colada. It was perfection in a cup. Not too sweet ,just right. I def wasn't counting my calories. My waitress was A1 like the steak sauce. She was @ our every call & command swooping in before we could even ask for we needed. The kind of service that made me wonder if she was telepathic like Cleo(the psychic).

Smoked Pulled Pork & Ribs Combo

What an awesome meal! Made a reservation and came with my family on a Monday night. Sat down right away and the food was terrific! I ordered the Rib combo with pulled pork. I didn't have to pick up the ribs once because the meat just fell right off the bone. Everyone loved their meal! Will definitely be back!

It was understandably packed so we arrived early were offered a table in their outdoor tent - but I wish we opted to wait for a table inside. The outdoor tent, while appreciated to accommodate extra guests and while heated decently for a cold evening, was cheesy and decorated with grocery-store decor and flowers - it felt like a high school dance. Just was not the vibe we were expecting or hoping for. The service was also noticeably slow which I also imagine was a combination of being in the tent and it being a holiday. On the plus side, all of our food was incredible. There were lots of specials and everything we had was delicious. We will absolutely be back just for the food, but will avoid the holiday rush and will opt to sit in their "usual" dining room going forward.

I recently went on a Saturday night with 5 other people. Three ordered the filet ($45.00), & everything is a la carte, so the small filet was served with nothing but a sprig of rosemary. The mashed potatoes & asparagus ordered were additional at $10.00 each. One guest ordered the salmon - she always orders salmon - & said it was the best she ever had. I wanted lamb chops & was lucky to find that they were one of the specials @ $55.00. I got 4 thick, perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked chops, which was to come with a pepper puree, which I can't eat, but they were kind enough to serve it with a demi glaze. It was served with fresh green beans & and thin eggplant strips stuffed with something delicious, though I'm clueless as to what it was. Unfortunately, the string beans & eggplant were seriously undercooked & my fork could not penetrate either. That is why I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. Since they have a very crowded & busy bar downstairs, they have a nice cocktail & wine menu, though I can't attest to either as I wasn't drinking. The lamb chops were memorable & I only wish I knew where they bought their meats so I could possibly treat myself more often. This is a fine restaurant for special occasions.

The service was top notch and super accommodating, and the ambiance of the place itself was cozy and upscale, but overall the food wasn't doing it for me. To start we ordered oysters which were fresh. They'd run out of Blue Points which were noticeably better from the other option they ended up having to give us since just three were left, which were just a tease at that point. The mussels were in a garlic and white wine sauce that was just too sweet and not really balanced enough, and many of the mussels were still closed or almost closed which I know better than to mess with. My steak special was the best thing I had here with mashed potatoes and crunchy greens, but even the au poivre sauce wasn't very flavorful. Still, my steak came out cooked just how I asked for it, and it was a good cut of meat. The waitress did say the kitchen was closing early that night since the chef's wife just had a baby so maybe it was just an off night. It was packed though so it seems like locals really like this place.

Good afternoon Texas Roadhouse, Last night, Sept 1, 2026…read moreat around 7:30 PM ET, me and my family visited your establishment. There were 4 adults, 1 teen and a baby. I love your location and the service you always provide, as well as the excellent food. After being seated, I was introduced to Riley and Tequan as the servers for our table. Riley mentioned she was new and in training and that Tequan was doing an excellent job training her. I have to tell you that the service was as good, or better than I have ever received at a Texas Roadhouse. Riley was very attentive to our needs and Tequan stopped over to see us a few times during the meal. We even had to return a side for reasons that initiated from my wife's likes and not do to the establishment or service and they handled it in an exceptional manner. I have to say that we put them both to the test, as we always do, and they not only passed, but made us feel at home during the entire dinner. I know Riley will work out 100% and I say that Tequan made us want to come back and ask for him in the future. I don't usually do feedback but this was definitely a special team going above and beyond normal service. Well done Riley and Tequan and special thanks to the Roadhouse for having great trainers and always taking care of their customers.

The one positive point is that the steaks themselves are consistent. The cuts and quality control for how the steaks are cooked are the high point - nothing available here is super high grade but you will get what you selected and it is generally cooked to your specification. However, the sides are hit or miss. Fries tend to be soggy and soft. The Caesar salad was once dependable as a "good" side but they seem to have reduced the quality and even the amount of dressing they put on it, maybe as a cost saving measure? To me the biggest issue here is the drastic inconsistency in quality of service. Sometimes you score a great server, but I'd say 75% of the time it is someone who seems to lack training in basic steps of service (getting the order right, following up on satisfaction a few minutes after food delivery, following up on drinks, etc.). It's a shame as this location had higher standards in the past.

I don't know who does the training there, but that is disgusting. After we sat down, I reminded my husband not to touch the bread plates as she had them under her armpit, carrying them to the table. Why is a hostess grabbing bread plates from the hostess desk to place them on the table for diners? Can't they just be on the table when we get there. I don't know what else she was carrying that she felt she had to carry small plates under her armpit, but apparently if a hostess has too many things to carry to lead you to your table, there is a problem. Very odd set up. Disgusting hostess for thinking I would eat bread off a plate that was under her armpit with only a T-shirt on. What is wrong with people? I'm still thinking about it weeks later.

They had a great variety: Caesar salad (very good) Smoked salmon & seafood salad Cold roasted garlic Rice and fried rice Pasta Oxtail stew (needed more flavor; too much fat on the pieces I had) A black bean and meat stew (VERY flavorful and hearty! my favorite) Fried bananas (just okay) Fried salmon bites (my friend liked them) Lobster ravioli (just okay) They had other options on the salad bar I just can't remember. In this case, a restaurant buried deep at the back of Parx Casino. Note, while we have been to Parx for shows, we've never stayed for a meal. All the key aspects checked all our boxes... nothing was off; everyone was on par, if not better, especially Kristine (hostess) and Kevin, our server. Both earned kudos for being Directors of First Impressions for their brand. After a cordial greeting and a run-through of the menu, along with a round of Q&A with Kevin, we landed on a very satisfying dinner. Was cold rainy (awaiting a big storm weekend) Saturday night but the casino and theater were hopping. We started off with the French Onion Soup, sweet onions (thinking Vidalia onions), rich savory broth, and Gruyère cheese. So satisfying, delicious, and warmed us up. The flavor was memorable for sure. For our next dish, we shared the cheesesteak dumpling, with spicy mayo. Was good but of all our choices this was the weakest and least memorable. The plating was lovely, but it underdelivered at $14. Was overcooked and just eh. We shared a new dish from the menu: the shrimp with grits, blackened shrimp, bacon (thinking Canadian bacon), corn grits, tomato (stewed), scallion, and frizzled onions. Was a satisfying dish. Enjoyed the blend of the ingredients, and the plating was a work of culinary art welcoming you. We opted for a second round of drinks, Albertoni Chardonnay for my wife and the Weihenstephaner Hefewissbier for me and poured in the proper tall vessel. I do take my beers seriously. While they have a nice assortment for most palates, I was pleased to see a good German easy-drinking wheat beer on the menu. With our 2nd round, we ordered the house made white meat chicken tenders with spicy remoulade sauce. Good dish, satisfying as a basic dish, but I did ask that it not be too crispy or burnt. Be sure to see my food pic. Cool decor, nice atmosphere, low noise din, surprisingly.

Our celebration dinner of six was a total disaster Saturday night…read more Such a shame bc we spent most of our dinner trying not to make a big deal and ruin the mood but it could not be helped. So instead of having a nice conversation the subject switched to flagging down the server, taste this and see what you think, is your soup warm, etc, and the overall buzz kill of our fine dining experience. Started with my cocktail...the drink I order every place (vodka gimlet martini) was over powered with lime juice. I could not drink it...had to send it back and I really think the same drink was just re-shaken and given back to me bc again I could not drink it the 2nd time. Darn I was thinking about my cocktail even before I got to the restaurant. I tried to sip a few sips and just left it. Never like me to not finish a cocktail! It was overly sweet and bitter. I have never had that drink so poorly made. Three if us ordered 3 different soups...all arrived luke warm to cold. Not enjoyable at all. Not the best butternut squash soup, either, it was too thick. We all just endured bc sending it back to be re-heated sounded like a bad idea at this point. And our conversation once again switched to discussing the poor temperature of the soup. Complimentary mini sampling of squash was served next. It was so tiny (could be served in a "Barbie doll dream house") but nonetheless, we appreciated the nice gesture. Next small tasting of lemon sherbet served. It was quite sometime until our dinner arrived. Took almost 2 hours from the time we sat down. It was uncomfortably long and conversation switched once again to what is taking so long? Now for the worst part of our meal... saw a picture of the Dry aged NY strip au Poivre with courvoisier cream and it looked incredible. Our mouth watering all day just thinking about ordering it. Hubby asked for sauce on the side as he can't really have the cream sauce. Waiter said no problem of course. No surprise that when the steak arrived, it was in a pool of that sauce and way more than what was in the picture. The presentation was a sloppy mess and every part of the steak covered in sauce. Far from the picture we saw. Right away, waiter realized his mistake and offered to make another...sending it back after waiting 2 hours was not an option for us. We just canceled and sent it away. Our side of fries were forgotten and never brought out. Had to cancel that order also. By this time an assistant manager came to our table and offered to package up a steak and send it home with us, but we were so turned off, we declined. He instead handed us a nice gift certificate, which we appreciated. We won't be using it for another dinner as we are writing this place off; however, their lunches and happy hour are very good, and we will use it then. On a good note, salmon, sea bass, and filet mignon were all very good. Another steak was not great and disappointing. Amazing just how busy this restaurant gets. Every table full on a Saturday night and every time I'm here it's always a full restaurant. For a fine dining experience we found it to be unreliable and not anxious to return. Also felt our business was not appreciated. They are so busy...they don't need us. It felt more like a factory assembly line. Unfortunately our memorable celebration will be a different kind of memory.
