Bacon omelet with bacon and pork roll

Cozy little restaurant in Queen Anne shopping plaza in Fairless Hills. It's definitely a local favorite and for good reason. They serve good food at reasonable prices. Our omelets were big and fluffy. Side meats were perfect; not greasy. Potatoes done to the right crispness. Coffee was delicious, hot and endless. Service was excellent. What's not to love?

Cash only This is A quaint little place that uses church pews for their benches. The tables are close together. Food was really good. I got the daily omelette, ratatouille and cheese. Coffee was strong and hot and the wait staff was attentive and friendly. This looks like the kind of place I would bring friends for a cheap good breakfast.

Fairless Hills is a little beyond my normal range for breakfast, but the reviews for Café Ferraro raised my curiosity, and on this morning without a 9 o'clock call I decided to check it out. Good move, Mr. S.! The Café is in another of those endless aging shopping strips that line Oxford Valley Road, but Ferraro's stood out from the rest of the concrete with a bright hand lettered sign on their front window artfully proclaiming its presence. I walked in and saw the counter to the right with about 9 spinners, and several tables to the left. The space seemed well occupied for 8:00 am, but what was obvious was the amount of conversation going on. Everyone was engaged, not just with their own table, but with the rest of the house. This was a very friendly joint. I sat at an empty stood next to a woman who I had never met. My coffee arrived before I could ask for it. The server took my order of French Toast and Country Sausage and immediately suggested the morning special which included two Eggs and Coffee for less than I would pay for my spoken desires. I always appreciate getting more and paying less. I was hooked. Turned out that the French Toast was excellent, with a touch of Vanilla in the mix and nicely caramelized edges. The Sausage Patty was exceptionally fresh and tasty without being greasy. The Scrambled needed a touch of Louisiana Hot Sauce to make it sing, but the well used bottle was quickly brought to me when I asked if it was available. I had a long chat with my stoolmate and learned about her family, work, and plans for life. She told me: "This place is like family. Everyone knows your stuff and wants to help, if needed." There is even a doctor who shows up almost daily and hangs his shingle while eating breakfast. That's amazing! No extra charge for a diagnosis with your pancakes. Café Ferraro is a great little place. If it was closer to home, it would quickly join my breakfast rotation, but given geographic realities, it will remain a treat for those rare mornings when I don't have to be standing in front of a judge at 9.

Perfect eggs over easy and homemade home fried potatoes

When I first moved to the area, Cafe Ferraro was one of the first local eateries I visited. The charming vintage decor, featuring an antique stove, old Hoosier cabinets, and other accouterments of days gone by reminds one of the time before the post WWII housing boom in Lower Bucks County. But what makes this place so special is the friendly neighborhood camaraderie that makes a meal at Cafe Ferraro a social experience as well as a meal. The conversations at Cafe Ferraro are often between diners at one table conversing with the diners at another table, as well as with the server. Solo diners hail each other upon arrival and sit together. Nobody is focused on a cell phone or laptop. The cheer in the room is uplifting. The menu features typical breakfast and lunch dishes, sandwiches, and salads, and American and Italian dinner entrees. Homemade pies, cakes, and other desserts are on view in a case opposite the front window. Selections are always served attractively on the plate - with a smile by the server. The coffee pots are always full. Specials appear each day on a blackboard. The eggs and potatoes I ordered this morning were fresh and tasty. And unexpectedly, I stopped in on a day when there was a breakfast special - $1.99 for two eggs, toast, and potatoes. This special runs throughout August 2016 on weekdays. If you are looking for experimental flavor combinations, kale, kiwi and quinoa, you will need to look elsewhere, but if you are seeking that comfortable mom and pop outing that expresses the Fairless Hills/Levittown local experience, this stop is for you.

They can hold 20-500 people for private events according to their website. The inside is dark and could use a bit of a refresh, but I wouldn't say it's close to the level of dive. It's certainly on the larger side compared to most bars in the area. The staff has always been nice, but service can get slow when the crowd size grows. Just the nature of things. Food wise the menu has a typical mix of pub grub - apps, soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers and several entrees. A friend was eating their jumbo Buffalo Shrimp off the starter menu and raved about them. I stuck to a Cheesesteak which was average but a deal at $9.50 -- the chopped steak was decent, cheese was good just needed a bit more. Hot peppers gave it some kick and the long roll was fresh. Their beer menu has around a dozen beers on tap. They dabble in more mainstream big beer/craft beer like your Goose Island IPA's/Lagunitas IPA, but do have a decent show of locals like Yards, Victory, Troegs and Weyerbacher. Bourbon wise I had a Knob Creek neat which was average price wise. The pour was on the generous side. Each time I've been here the crowds have been friendly and having a good time. The band we listened to was great and the sound was crisp. Five Four is a family friendly grill during the day and a fun place for adults later at night. Thanks guys!

A couple weeks ago she had the nerve to comment on my face in front of the entire table. She claimed that I "always give her dirty looks" and "always look so angry when I'm here". For one, I don't know her personally, we have never had a conversation outside of her taking my order and quite frankly it's none of her business how my face looks anyway. Second of all how embarrassing is it to be called out in front of a bunch of people like that? I couldn't believe the words that came out of her mouth. Before I left I politely told her I didn't appreciate her calling me out like that and she got very defensive. Not an apology from her, she didn't care one bit. She started arguing with me and acting like I was overreacting and like she didn't do anything wrong. She should take a look at herself in the mirror and think twice before she speaks. I'll never step foot into this bar again.

Their drink menu consists of hot/cold coffee, tea, lattes, and espresso based drinks. I tried the drip coffee and would highly recommend it. It is a private label version of Homesteads Darkness - dark & bold with notes of rich, smokey chocolate. I enjoyed the dark roast, rich chocolate and its bold full body. The cortado and espresso I had were ok. I found them to be a little too bitter, but there was a strong roasted earthiness flavor that I liked. On a return trip I'll have to try their Vietnamese coffee. Food wise I've had the sausage egg and cheese on a bagel and a bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel. They are simple and decent sized with simple folded egg patties and cheddar cheese on average bagels. The rest of the menu is simple - toasts, sandwiches, salads, some items for the kids. They do sell their private label coffee beans in retail bags and will grind them for you. I'll stop in again if I'm in the area. The coffee and ambiance is great, the food is ok to good, service great and the idea of a non profit that supports community is commendable. Thanks!!
