Panini di corne di manzo aka roast beef sandwich

Food was delicious! I ordered the all season salad and swapped out the fried breaded chicken with grilled chicken. It was a very clean salad. My mom ordered the roast beef sandwich and she thoroughly enjoyed it. Service was good up until we wanted to get our bill. A big group came in and our server seemed to forget us. Not the biggest deal but it seemed as if she knew she was going to get a sizable tip from this group so ignored us for about 15 minutes. I would still recommend coming here when in Newtown.

It looks like FLOURish, but sounds like Flourish Cafe, as it stands open for business in the Village at Newtown Shopping Center, close by The Capital Grill. This Central European restaurant serves three meals a day in a cosmopolitan atmosphere that reminds of what can be found in Vienna, Prague or Budapest. Light sophistication and an inventive menu to keep you entertained and eager for more. We stopped in for late breakfast and found the dining room fairly crowded for a midweek eleven o'clock, but there was a table for us near the pastry display case, so no worries. The four page morning menu offered continental cuisine of western and central nations. We chose Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, Eggs Florentine and Americano java for accompaniment. Both were very good, but require some explanation, as they had unexpected, but memorable attributes. The pancakes were light and covered in powdered sugar and a few berries, with a side cup of excellent sweet crème for dipping. The cakes were a bit dry and separated top from bottom when cut. Awkward for a fork, but still tasty. The Eggs Florentine were poached and resting on halves of brioche when served by our wait person. Unfortunately, one of the rounded eggs rolled right off the bread and onto the floor as it was placed before my son. Embarrassing for our server, but he handled it well with apology, replacement and free dessert. Nicely done! My son just smiled at his good fortune and ate everything. He was very satisfied. The coffee was strong and bracing. At about $15 a plate, the prices seemed reasonable. 4 Stars for the chance to sample a taste of Europe right in the neighborhood.

The food was delicious. The breakfast menu had traditional staples which were fantastic. And there were ethnic items. Amazing creations. Comfortable seating and friendly atmosphere. Alex was so helpful.

The service in Flourish is amazing. The ambience, for the price, meets and exceeds expectations. You pay for quality. The food is highly detailed and presented very nicely. Extremely well-done and takes time for what you want. Excellent!

Came here with a group of friends. The food was awesome. The blueberry tea was delicious, as well. Karen, our server, was very sweet! Great experience.

    Cottage cheese pancakes, tea

We had such a great brunch here. The servers were attentive and efficient, and the design was very elegant. Nevertheless it was the food that was really the star: the cottage cheese pancakes were delicious and fresh, the tea was so warming and yummy. Definitely recommend for a cosy brunch.

I asked what I was in for and was immediately schooled on all of the offerings by the owner..... she described every item with great detail, pride and passion. I ended up buying some items for my wife's work and something for myself. The prices seemed high, but believe me you're getting what you pay for. I ended up with two Croissants - Buttery, flaky French-style croissant, one Pain au Chocolat - Our classic croissant filled with two bittersweet chocolate batons, one Nutella croissant - Our classic croissant filled with delicious Nutella chocolate hazelnut spread, one Fruit Jam croissant - our classic croissant filled with delicious fruit jam and a Almond Chocolate croissant - Our classic almond croissant filled with two bittersweet chocolate batons. For myself, I took another customers advice and went with a savory Ham and cheese croissant - our classic croissant filled with bechamel (creamy white sauce), ham and cheese. The shiny sheen of buttery baked goodness was the first thing you'll notice before you taste that flaky brown crust. Every bite was a clean crisp break and boy did all the flavors of ham and cheese combine to make a fantastic breakfast. My bill was $40 combined for all seven items. (I believe the ham and cheese croissant itself was about $6 and change) The croissants my wife brought to work were a hit. One of the her co-workers lived in France for several years and was complaining she couldn't find a comparable croissant on this side of the pond. She was beyond impressed and commented they are better than most she remembered. Mission accomplished, she'll be paying her first visit and I'll be returning to try some sweet options next time! Small location, but a mighty and beautiful product made with love at Mamie Colette!

Their menu has a mix of cutlet sandwiches, cheesesteaks, burger, tacos, quesadillas and burritos. The man who took my order wasn't much for words, but the food more than made up for it! My wife had the Chicken Quesadilla $15 (comes with fries). I had the combination tacos $16 which had one hot sausage taco, one chipotle and one birria. All three tacos were stuffed and bursting with flavor. The double tortillas were awesome and made the overstuffed tacos easier to handle, but were also fresh and had a nice crunch to them. I enjoyed the birria most with the chipotle coming in a close second. The hot sausage taco was decent, but I needed more heat and flavor from it. The birria had a tasty combination of cheese, cilantro and onion to go along with the seasoned beef. The chipotle chicken partnered with pineapple, cilantro and onion hit the spot as well. The Chicken Quesadilla had a perfect portion of melted cheese and lightly seasoned chicken. It also held together extremely well. The fries were forgettable, but the main event was delicious. I'd seek these guys out again! Aristaeus has them on their website calendar once or twice a month and Newtown Brewing has dates on their Facebook events page. Thanks guys!
