Stopped here the other morning, sat ourselves in a booth, was approached by a lady with coffee. A few minutes later a waitress came over and took our order, she didn't ask us if we needed water. Both of our meals were ok but my chip beef was on the small side. We didn't see the specials that were on blackboards posted at each side of the restaurant, because of their placement, and my wife would have been interested in one, not did the waitress point out the specials. I could have overlooked the small portions, but when I went to the register to pay I tried to give the waitress my credit card and was informed that they only take cash. In the borough of Langhorne in the Pine Watson shopping center you will fine a small welcoming cafe that cooks up a fine breakfast. This is a small cafe with booths along the windows. Simple but clean. Plenty id board specials to choose from in addition to a pretty full menu. The Cafe is CA$H only so keep that in mind. There is an ATM available as well. My meal consisted of the pork roll Benedict and it was topped with the most perfect of poached eggs. Not many places can get it quite right, but The Cafe had mine right on point. The meals were average, not overly generous portions yet quality outranks quantity here at The Cafe, you won't be disappointed. read more

Meh. The bell peppers in my friend's Farmer's omelette, which should have been green, had a grayish color to them, so not the freshest ingredients during our visit. She ate half of it because she was hungry. I had two eggs with sausage. Tasted fine at the time, but I started feeling ill a few hours later, which has lasted the rest of the day so far. We asked one of the servers for water. The waters never came. We asked another server for water and they came back with one. We didn't bother asking for another. Last, an odd service/etiquette move in delivering the check at the same time as the food. Not a major thing, but very odd, and makes guests feel rushed. We got our only coffee refill at the same time. Most establishments at least come around twice without having to ask. A server never came back to our table after food delivery, so no one ever asked how our meals were, let alone to ask if we needed a to go box, or top off our coffees. This place had been on my list of spots to try, and having now done so, I won't be returning. read more

Found this hidden gem heading to an appointment at St.Marys hospital. I was looking for nearby restaurants with high ratings on yelp. And found this winner. It was within mins of the hospital. The first time i went with my mom- we just ordered the oatmeal, with raisins, walnuts and brown sugar. I also got a bagel toasted with cream cheese and ny mom ordered a corn muffin. The corn muffin was delish and made from scratch. Oatmeal and bagel was also good. Customer service was great as well. The second time we came in- i came after a procedure i had done at the hospital again, but this time we ordered big plates of breakfast items. I read on a yelp review that i had to try the homefries... And wow they werw the best homefries ive had in a long time. Crispy full of flavor whole potatoes. I had two egga scrambled with ryw toast and ham with home fries and French toast. The plate was huge and everything on ny plate was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. This place is doing something right. They were nonstop taking calls for orders and this small place waa filling up quickly. I found out they also have a tasty lunch so i will be heading back here to try it dor myself. read more

This is more of a family run cafe. It is a bit on the smaller side and barely any room/place to wait but outside but it's worth the wait. I really liked the fact that even though one waitress took your order the others were right there filling up your coffee mug or making sure your table was ok. I really love this idea especially when a place gets busy or your server is overwhelmed. Please keep in mind they are only open for breakfast and lunch until 2pm. They always have a specials board posted with the daily specials. I decided to order off the specials board, I got pumpkin walnut pancakes and it came with a decent side of bacon, all for $8.95! You can't beat their prices. My pancakes were huge despite it saying "short stack." They were delicious! I would get them again. I forget the name of the breakfast my hubby ordered but it came with French toast, eggs, toast, bacon & home-fries. They put green peppers and onions in their home-fries. My brother ordered a chicken cheesesteak and fries. He really enjoyed his meal and they season the fries with salt and pepper, I know it sounds odd but they were delicious. read more

This was a good place before covid. Now it's obvious that the owner is trying to make up for a loss of revenue by raising prices and lowering portions. Five of us had breakfast there recently. Four of us ordered scrapple and were charged $4 each. Scrapple is cheap but this was was cut so thin that there was only one side to it. Worse bathrooms on the planet, only marginally clean and really not worth the effort to go there again. read more

Our breakfast here was excellent. I ordered chocolate chip silver dollar pancakes and my husband had the meat lover's omelette. It's not the biggest place but the turnover is quick and we only waited 5 mins to be seated. Our waitress was nice and our food came out fast. Home fries aren't our favorite thing but the home fries here are perfection. Breakfast & lunch are offered. Our food with 2 beverages came out to $19. One of ours go-to breakfast places. Great food and coffee, friendly staff and quick service. I personally have just one thing that keeps me away from being completely satisfied. They don't make fresh orange juice and don't have hashbrown patties. These two are essentials for my breakfast however I love their over-easy eggs so much, I keep coming anyway ;) Make sure you check their specials menu. The Café sits in the Pine Watson Shopping Plaza on North Pine just before the intersection with Maple Street in Langhorne Borough. It is the star of an otherwise undistinguished row of shops and restos. The interior is bright and homey with nice counters, tables and booths. The servers are friendly, courteous and have time for a short chat with all the customers. The breakfast menu is traditional, and the coffee is Ellis through a Bunn-o-Matic. Strong, middle of the road brew. I went with a short stack of French Toast along with the java. It was made with Texas Toast and arrived nicely crusty with caramelized edges. It would have been even better with real maple syrup, but then the price would have been much higher. There are a high percentage of regulars here which adds to the attraction. The repartee with the high energy behind the counter ladies is warm and clever. I imagine that if this was closer to home or on my way to work, I, too, would be a regular guest. As it is, I am a fan, and I will get here sporadically when I can. read more

This is a follow-up review. 2 months ago was my first experience at The Cafe. That experience was pretty bad. That is covered in my earlier review. The owners reached out to me following that review and apologized for the poor service. This was very kind of them. I had an opportunity to visit The Cafe the second time. Everybody deserves a second chance come right? This experience was a complete flip flop from the first time. Fast, efficient and very friendly. This time the server was congenial and willing to interact with her customers. Her name was Jillian. Jillian was excellent! She was polite. She knew her menu. She was just a nice young woman. She did a great job attending to me as a customer. Note to Jillian: the person makes the name, the name doesn't make the person. You were great. Thank you. read more

We decided to come here after reading the reviews. When we got here. The restaurant is small, but has plenty of seats for customers. The majority of the seats are booths and they're lined against all the walls. There is also a counter that stands at the front of the restaurant and it's also where you can sign your party in if there's a long wait for a table. The walls are also decorated with words and mirrors. There was plenty of parking outside because it's located in a strip mall. Daughter ordered the tuna sandwich and liked it. She said that it was good and that it reminded her of when she ate it when she was younger. She doesn't eat much of this anymore and it gave her nostalgia. Hubs ordered the garden omelet and thought it was ok. I ordered the banana pancakes and thought that was the best order on our table. It was nice, hot, fluffy and the bananas were in the pancakes. It's an Itsy bitsy, teenie weenie cafe, maybe ten booths, maybe a dozen counter stools. The walls are decorated more with an Italian influence, the cooks are Mexican, but I only saw one item on the menu that could even be remotely related to Spanish cuisine, which is a shame. As in it's name, The Cafe is a very simple place serving breakfast and lunch seven days per week and only open until 3:00pm. We were there around 10:00am and the server informed us that we could order either breakfast or lunch. It was so obvious that regular customers frequent The Cafe and it was filled to capacity. I was tempted by the black board specials, pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream, pancakes with blueberries plus bananas and several omelet combinations. Their menu has many pancakes, French toast, egg dishes, omelets, wraps, plus sandwiches galore, sides, burgers and homemade luncheon entrees. I threw caution to the wind and ordered their homemade sausages, very good indeed, crispy bacon, very thin and deep fried, ugh. A sausage, roasted red bell pepper, mushroom, onion and provolone cheese omelet, sounds yummy huh? It was so dry and bland, how in the world could all of those ingredients not sing well together? Maybe the omelet was left on the grill too long as it was very well done and not at all light and fluffy. Hubby had asked if they cracked eggs for their omelets and our server said no, they use "fake" eggs, so we asked to have real eggs cracked and we witnessed our cook bring down an aluminum bowl and do just that. We both had home fries with our omelets, which was a decent portion, but had asked for peppers and onions to be thrown in, which our server informed us were the standard there, but alas, not one piece of pepper or onion was to be found, yet they were good home fries, using red skinned potatoes and cooked to a golden brown. Hubby had a bacon, cheese, onion omelet and ate it all and said it was okay. He shared the sausage patties and bacon with me along with a short stack of pancakes. The pancakes at D & W Brownsville Cafe and even Cracker Barrel's put these to shame. Mind you they were okay, but just that. When we arrived, the booths had all been taken, so we nestled up to the counter, which was directly in front of the kitchen window. The cook was amazing to watch, his speed at getting the orders out was unbelievable and with very hungry bellies each hot plate that he placed in the window, teased us even more. I know, such a long review for such a little cafe, but I have to tell you this, even though our service was ultra friendly, the two servers on, rolled silverware at the counter, right in front of us, where we were sitting, which was very distracting while trying to have conversation and eat. Not only this, but I guess they pulled tips and one of them brought out their small tip cup right there, directly in front of me, counted the money, cashed the ones in for larger bills and then turned around to the window to grab plates to run! Each and every time, both servers who hand wrote tickets the old fashioned way and used an adding machine/cash register to tally the bill, dealt with cash and change constantly, grabbed coffee cups by their sides, as well as glasses and plates and never once washed their hands! Maybe I'm too picky, I am a hand washing fanatic, especially when cooking and handling food and when any one walks into my kitchen while I am cooking and plans to help, they already know my hand washing rules. Bottom line, it's a hole in the wall cafe, that has probably been around forever, and they don't need me, as they do a whopping business, without my pickyness. read more

Came here at about 8am on a Tuesday morning. After ordering, the food came out in about 10 minutes. We ordered the breakfast combo, French toast stacker, veggie omelet and a bacon egg cheese bagel. The French toast stacker was great, it had peanut butter with fresh bananas on top. Omelet was also good with fresh veggie ingredients, we could choose 4. This is by far my favorite breakfast spot. I have tried tons of other diners and cafes, but none hit the spot like The Cafe. It is very tiny, so sometimes there is a wait. It is not easy going with a baby and trying to find a spot for the highchair. I have never been disappointed with my food and it is quite reasonably priced. The portions are nicely sized as well. This place is a little hidden treasure in Langhorne. I have lived in Langhorne all my life and I have never been here but a friend recommended it so my girlfriend and I tried it today. It's a really small cute cafe, with a very home like feel. My girlfriend got a short stack of pancakes and some home fries, I got a combo with a short stack, eggs turkey sausage, home fries and toast. It was so tasty. Am scared to review this place because it's usually quiet and empty which makes it easy to find a seat. But because they use The Irish Pub's kitchen, the food is always fresh and yummy.
