A cute new restaurant in Trenton. The menu is tapas like paella, empanadas, as well as sandwiches. The cocktail list looked great so expect this place to be happening during happy hour.

10/10 so good!!! I've come here a couple times and by now I've tried the three different empanadas. They're all great, but I loved the beef empanada most! Great vibes and ambiance inside. Super nice service as well. This restaurant is a fantastic addition to downtown Trenton.

My Bro enjoying our Sangria cheers everyone!

The food and service was excellent. I had the Spanish sausage and French fries with a great topping.

Always a great place for lunch or dinner. Plus the only place in town with parking, which is refunded after you eat there.

Maybe it was the weather, but it was very cold in the restaurant. Maybe because it was the restored Trenton Iron works factory the place seemed somewhat cold and dark.

Unfortunately, our entire experience was disappointing from the moment we arrived. When we entered, we were told that only a limited menu was available because of an "event going on." However, the event had already ended. The limited menu consisted only of pizza and very basic appetizers like mozzarella sticks, calamari, fried shrimp, and chicken wings--there were no actual entrées or meal options available. We arrived at 4:40 PM and, after reviewing the menu, were extremely disappointed. Having driven two hours to dine here, we asked both our waitress and the hostess if any additional meal options would become available. One staff member told us the full menu wouldn't return until 8 PM. Reluctantly, we ordered a couple of appetizers, which unfortunately arrived cold. What made the situation even more frustrating was seeing two tables that were seated around 4:58 PM--almost twenty minutes after us--receive the full menu and order actual meals. We then questioned the inconsistency and unfair treatment. If we were told the full menu would not be available until 8 PM, why were guests seated after us given it? Eventually, a manager came over and was apologetic, which we appreciated. Still, we left feeling disappointed that we never got to experience the food we had originally come for. While the location itself is beautiful--bright and right on the water--the restaurant unfortunately does not seem well maintained. There were noticeable dust and cobwebs around the space, and many surfaces felt sticky. Overall, it did not feel like a particularly clean establishment. After driving two hours with high expectations, this was truly a disappointing experience.

Most of the buffet. The carving station is to the near right of this shot, with the omelette station in the middle right.

You're bound to have a more attentive server and better view. Food wise, it is pricy. For the price, I want to be blown away. It was yummy but you're paying for the ambiance and ease of dining at a popular attraction. My French dip sandwich was good, the French onion soup was good. The bucatini pasta had a strong lemon flavor but the cuttlefish was a nice addition. Pavlova was interesting! Had never tried it before for dessert. Wouldn't get it again but I appreciate the variety. I would come here again absolutely and sit outside but just know what you're paying for and what time you're going.

The property feels like a slice of the French countryside, with charming architecture, manicured gardens, and scenic views that make the atmosphere romantic, peaceful, and perfect for a date night or a special celebration. *AMBIANCE* The ambiance is exceptional and worth seeing at least once. There is a parking lot right next to the restaurant. The weather wasn't great when we came, but there is a very scenic patio area overlooking Monet's Bridge and the pond. We came with reservations but had a bit of a wait even though there were some empty tables. Additionally, we were celebrating a special occasion but that was not acknowledged anywhere so it felt slightly underwhelming. *FOOD* The food was well-prepared and several dishes were enjoyable. For starters, we tried the petites bouchées de poulet ($22) which are bite sized pickled buttermilk fried chickens, though the portions were small for the price. I got the coffee crusted 1855 bone-in beef short rib ($42) which was very delicious. The meal was good, but I was not blown away by the food. *SERVICE* Service was courteous and professional. There was a slight delay where the sides arrived a bit later with our entree, but other than that service was attentive. Overall, worth checking out once for the beautiful location but just keep in mind at this price point, you are paying more for the ambiance than the food itself.

I was really looking forward to trying this place because one night about a year ago when we were around the corner at Championship Bar, we saw people inside what is now Tikal, doing construction work. So, of course, we went in to inquire about the space. The owner/workers were gracious enough to show us all the updates and work they were doing...and if you knew the old Rossi's, it definitely needed it. We arrived early to have a cocktail at the bar. Now, this was the only dip in an overall great night. The bartenders we're 2 young girls (who were also the servers) that barely spoke English. The beer selection is definitely not extensive. Ex. Bud, Corona, Bud light... I was going to order a Manhattan, but I thought I would be pushing my luck. I saw they had Jim Beam so I ordered that on the rocks. This was way beyond these girls...they were very sweet and trying so hard, but they should not have been manning the bar. After that it was all uphill. The food is delicious. There were about 16 of us and everyone was happy with their choice. Many taking food home. Dessert for some was tres leches cake which got rave reviews. We will definitely be back and it's only a bike ride away.
