    Huge indoor space.
    Scott P.

One of the most beautiful NJ breweries I've ever been to (and I've been to a lot!). On a huge farm so tons of space. Plenty of parking, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating (including a huge and gorgeous rustic but chic barn where the taps are), plenty of space for little kids to run around and plenty of farm animals for them to check out. My girlfriend and I visited on a Sunday afternoon in November on a picture perfect fall day. Clear skies, cool temps, live music, pleasantly full but not obnoxiously crowded . Everything about this place is five stars... except for the beer. Three stars at best. Eight beers on tap plus one seltzer so between us we tried most of the menu. It was all pretty average. I was going to complain about the Midnight Hayride, which is a stout, thinking they must have a weird interpretation of what a stout can be, because the beer we were given did not look or taste anything like a stout. But I looked at their website just now with a picture of their stout, and it turns out we were just flat out given the wrong beer in our flights. It's a shame we didn't get to try that one. Overall I recommend this as a great place to take the kids and spend an afternoon. Come here for the atmosphere but don't make a pilgrimage for the beer.

I'm so happy I found this spot so close to home! We needed a place like this out here. Family friendly and parent friendly! They have so many free activities for the kids- feeding cows, pigs, the playground. They let you bring the kids inside the beautiful restored barn and you can order a delicious beer and the kids can play with all the games inside. They even make their own soda which was yummy. The staff are all awesome. They have live music, food trucks. Just an all around fun place and beautiful setting. I have a feeling we'll be there a lot this summer!

I really liked the vibe here. It's a beautiful, spacious farm with cows, pigs, chickens, horses and goats. There are a few farm dogs that wander freely. We met Butler who was so calm and sweet. The inside bar area is welcoming and beautiful. The beer is delicious and I liked that they had flights so you could try a bunch! The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food truck food was delicious! The kids had a ton of fun in the corn pit and playground. There was also live music but we sat outside. We got ice cream at the general store afterward. It was a great afternoon! I definitely recommend you go! Here's what my 6 year old son had to say: Awesome and cool and I like the corn pit. I really like the orange juice and it was also really fizzy and yummy and also I'm gonna give it four stars. it also had really nice animals and I had some friends coming with me too. Well I already went with them actually. There was food and drinks, so I had lots of friends that I had so much fun with.

New and fun brewery. Good beer and good atmosphere. It was packed when we went. Weather was cold out so most were inside. When weather warms up there will be lots of seating inside and outside. Nice beer selection. Give it a try.

Love the ambiance, service, and food. They had live music, reasonable pricing, inside or outside seating, and many animals to interact with if you want. Very family friendly place.

My girlfriend and I felt the farm experience from the moment we pulled in! Upon leaving your car, you are greeted by animals roaming around that you can interact with, food trucks, a kids area, and a general store with farm fresh meat. After exploring, make your way to the amazing brewery filled with board games, a great farm feel, and eight different but very tasteful beers that are sure to make for a great time with friends. We highly recommend Needle Creek!

Went yesterday for the first time (it just opened) and it was a great way to spend a sunny Saturday afternoon... moos and brews. Pet the cows! Pet the cute farm dog roaming around... Butler is his name. I had the Blonde Cow... very tasty. Live music. Fire pits. Food truck. Perfect.

Not just dog friendly, but genuinely kind and happy to have her there, which means so much to me as a dog mom. The bartenders, Savannah and Bill, absolutely made the experience. They were welcoming, attentive, and so easy to talk to. They made me feel comfortable right away and treated Luna with so much love, like she belonged there. You can tell when people truly care, and they really do. The atmosphere is warm, relaxed, and inviting. It's the kind of place where you can actually unwind, enjoy your drink, and feel at home. Great vibes, great energy, and even better people behind the bar. If you're looking for a brewery that truly welcomes dogs and their humans with open arms, this is it. I'll definitely be back, and Luna will be too.

We sat at the bar right by the giant tv, so great place to watch Sunday football. Had lovely conversations both with the bartender (a fellow high school teacher!) and the gentleman sitting next to us. Located in a strip mall and very small inside, but super friendly vibes here. Just a really cool and chill place to hang out for a few hours. 10 beers on tap with nice variety. They had a nice selection of German style beers leftover from their Oktoberfest the week before. My girlfriend and I both got flights and really enjoyed everything we tried. We live about an hour away but will absolutely come back if we're ever nearby again!

They recently acquired MD brewery DuClaw as well and continue to brew their beers and distribute under the same name. They distribute widely across NJ, PA, NY so it's pretty easy to find at liquor stores and restaurants, and I've had their beers many times over the years. Their beer is pretty solid with some fun and inventive offerings. My girlfriend and I stopped into their taproom for the first time on a Sunday afternoon and it was quite possibly the worst taproom we've ever been to out of 80+ NJ breweries we have visited together. It looks like they concentrate all of their time and effort on production and distribution and have not spent any time creating a decent place to hang out. Almost no decor. All plastic cups (a personal pet peeve of mine in breweries). Not even a permanent bar of any kind. There were only four other people the whole time we were there so the atmosphere was pretty dead. We ordered flights, and the names of the beers were written in abbreviations right on the cups which made it impossible to read on the darker beers. But the beer was very good! We really enjoyed our flights and bought a six pack of the imperial pumpkin ale to bring home with us. We'll continue to drink their beer, but I don't recommend coming to the taproom at all.

I will stop in on occasion to fill a growler or grab some cans to go but would not want to spend any time here. What is outstanding to us is the care which all the staff and brewers show as they are there. Clearly the same love is widespread as the place was full on a Sunday afternoon. It is pleasing that many were there with their kids showing that this local business gives to the whole of the community. The enjoyment of brewing has moved past mere pub secrecy out to the whole of the community. A long calendar of events of all types from pub trivia to local music to sponsoring fellow food, eateries and holidays are all helpful to promote the family warranted nature of this business as it's clear with a large number of newborns and families as might be unusual and yet should be normalized. All staff are knowledgeable in the brewing and hospitality skills to succeed now and for the long run. Point of sale systems are able to keep open a tab and clearly distinguish ongoing bills. The marketing keeps rights with the sign ups of emails and keeping customer histories. Branding is consistent and relevant leading to a nice, smooth, comfortable customer experience. The two bathrooms are both individual and there are plenty of amenities like nooks and crannies the chat in and coat hooks and ledges and more private corners and food trucks rotate thru the good seasons and lots of lovely people always. Cheers!

Oakflower, just opened in 2022, was recommended time and time again, so we made this our first stop. I'm pleased to say it absolutely lived up to the hype. You can tell a brewery is serious about their beer when they don't offer flights or any kind of flavored seltzers. They are concentrating on making the best beer they can and it shows. 11 beers on tap with lots of hazy ales, a dangerously good 12.8% barrel aged stout, and a pale ale on nitro which I don't think I have ever seen before. We did a few tasters and a few full pours and everything we tried was fantastic. The taproom is spacious, airy, lots of plants and natural light which gave it a relaxed vibe. It was a Friday afternoon and was pleasantly full, with some of the bartenders passionately talking New York sports with some of the regulars. The friendly employees, the amazing beer, the well designed taproom, its location right across from an old train station in quaint downtown Millington... all of this together made for a perfect first visit. We live too far away to come back anytime soon, but we bought some beer to go to tide us over, and will definitely mention Oakflower to others when asked for brewery recommendations in North Jersey.
