I happen to be in a CVS nearby Carlucci's Express and has been recommended by someone so i checked out and bought slices of pizza. 4 stars because when I got them I thought it would be hot as in temperature hot but it was cold. I am starving so I ate half of the pizza. What I love about it is that the pizza crust is super thin. Next time for sure I will order a whole pie from here. 9/5/26- Today we decide to order 1 chicken cheesesteaks, 2 cheesesteaks and a large cheese pizza. Carlucci's Express just quietly leveled up their cheesesteaks in a BIG way. And I don't mean one tiny tweak. I mean one of those upgrades where you immediately stop mid-bite and go, "Wait...why is this suddenly incredible?" The new seeded rolls? Softer. Better texture. Somehow sturdier while still having that perfect give when you bite into it. The cheese situation? Completely different. It's not the old sliced/provolone-style melt anymore. It's creamy, rich, almost velvety now, and it coats the steak instead of just sitting on top of it. Absolute game changer. But honestly? The sleeper hit here might be the foil wrap. They switched from styrofoam containers to wrapping the cheesesteaks in foil, and somehow that alone transformed the entire experience. The steam stays in just enough, the roll gets warm and soft without getting soggy, and by the time you unwrap it, it feels like a proper cheesesteak shop experience instead of takeout. Everything tastes hotter. Fresher. More intentional. This genuinely feels like a "new era" for their menu, and if you haven't gone recently, you need to give them another shot because this is not the same cheesesteak they were serving before. Having been repeat customers to Carlucci's in the same shopping center and have visited Mamma Mia's not that far away we assumed Carluccis Express would more than surely live up to the standard that we have come accustomed to. That however, was not the case what we found was a completely different experience. Carlucci's express is basically a pizza shop that is part of the Carlucci's family of restaurants. We ordered a chicken broccoli ricotta calzone. we were asked if we wanted to cut before they brought it out and we said yes. Turns out that was the incorrect answer. What looked amazing in presentation huge thick overstuffed calzone was actually still cold inside. (just a little cold like Ricotta from the fridge cold). When we took it back to the counter, he asked what did we want him to do? They were not going to make a new one. They just wanted to reheat the four separate pieces until reached the proper temperature. As you can guess the calzone was far less appealing when it made its way back to our table (and if I'm being honest, it's STILL was not heated all the way through) Although we were excited to try it out, we left deeply disappointed. In addition to the calzone being cold it lacked sustenance and flavor was very bland and not of the Carlucci's quality that we have come to expect. read more

Two Slices & and Drink Lunch Review - While the main Carlucci's Italian Restaurant sits around the bend in this shopping center, the primarily take out pizza joint is to the left of Shop Rite. It is well appointed with nice enough furniture, although our table rocked so much I had to put my foot on its leg to hold it still. The pies are ordered at the cashier/kitchen in the back. There is a display of many of the pies for inspection. I am not a fan of this approach as there is not "Sell By" time nor date to alert you how long they have been sitting around. The more pies; the older they tend to be. We ordered well done slices of the Cheesesteak Pizza, Old Fashioned Tomato Pie and Plain. They were only Okay at best. The Cheesesteak and T.P. were deep dish style, with light and airy crust, that tasted more like bread with toppings, than true pizza. The Plain slice was more traditional. It had a satisfactory taste, but had a leaky oil pan and no gasket. This is not a tomato pie house I would return to as the samples tasted were not all that good. Probably better to walk over to the mothership for a full Italian meal. read more

Cooking 2-3 meals a day while quarantining is getting old, so today we ordered some lunch. I had the Tuscan grilled chicken salad, and my husband and son had the sausage parm sandwich and a provolone cheesesteak. Portions are extremely generous! I could only eat about 1/3 of my salad before getting full, and my husband and 21 year old ate half of their sandwiches. Everything was packed well and ready when I got there. Honestly I have tried a few things on the menu and I have come up with the conclusion that you should only order pizza and garlic knots. Those two are really good! Anything besides those are disappointing and really whatever. Their plain pizza is really good which to me means that all their pizzas are good too. I would recommend their gourmet pizzas and not the deep dish. If you like vegetable pizza, I would highly recommend the vegetarian pizza! Mrs. F brought home pizza slices, 2 panini, and an order of spaghetti with red sauce from Carlucci's Express. The order appeared to be correct, and Mrs. F and our daughter were happy with the service and cleanliness of the establishment. This was our first visit to Carlucci's Express. Unfortunately, it will also be our last visit. The pizza slices were OK. The spaghetti was OK. The panini, however. Both panini were swimming in grease and completely fell apart when attempted to be picked up and held like a sandwich. When you have to eat a grilled sandwich with a knife and fork because it falls apart, that's NOT amore (to paraphrase Dean Martin). The chicken panini was unappetizing but at least the components were edible. The prosciutto panini was completely unedible. The prosciutto was either old, or spoiled, or junk meat. I literally could not chew it with my teeth, and it smelled bad and tasted worse. I let our son try it (not a picky eater) and he couldn't get a mouthful chewed successfully. To his credit, our son (Mr. Not-A-Picky-Eater) picked up the whole, uneaten sandwich and deposited said sandwich in the garbage. He's 20 years old, not exactly a child, and he may have a future as a Yelp reviewer someday (we can dream). Anyhoo, it was disappointing to say the least. In the event you think I am a typical hoity-toity Yelp food snob, check my reviews. I pride myself on NOT being your run-of-the-mill, I shall-never-be-satisfied Yelp douche-canoe. I love supporting local businesses and lavish praise where it is due. My poor Yelp reviews are few and, thankfully, far between. The original Mrs. F (my sainted mother) taught me: If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. WORST PLACE EVER. Seriously this places sucks. After waiting an hour and 10 minutes for almost decent but convenient food to be delivered, I called....mind you I live 4 minutes away. Not feeling great so I wasn't really wanting to leave. After the younger Italian counter guy(I've also went there a lot I recognize the voice) informed me my food left 25 minutes ago I got a little upset. 25 minutes....yo I can see your restaurant from my house. How are you going to deliver the apparently "not" cold food and "not" water logged fries? Oh they delivered. And yes I checked before I paid. And yes I paid for the ENTIRE ORDER with tip. the place is a joke....at best. I guess it's my own fault. Time to start driving further for better cold food. read more

First time leaving a yelp review so obviously I don't just like giving restaurants bad reviews but this is really bad. I ordered a pasta dinner (primavera) without spinach ( as listed it in description) and received it that way except it had and ton of mushrooms (which the menu didn't even mention) and was totally dry (no garlic or oil as noted). So I called and they delivered another one without mushrooms and hopefully with some oil & garlic. It finally came 40 min later (with no mushrooms) except now it had spinach (if I didn't want it the first time, I def didn't want it the second) and of course it was still dry and terrible. Not to mention the vodka rigatoni was probably the worst I've ever had. Never again .... Update: This just in, not only did the food suck from last nights order and was wrong twice (even after I called and let them know -which I've never done with a takeout order) I notice this morning that delivery driver threw the pasta that I gave back in my street. Unacceptable. I gave it back to the little punk so he could show his boss how awful it was...thinking they would let the chef know. Guess not cause it was still awful the second time round. So glad we didn't eat either entree since they were both so bad (who knows what they did to second order if they threw the first one in my street)! The worst part is, I even tipped him for coming back the second time even tho it was the restaurants fault. I've been a bartender for long time so I know how it is. Carlucci's- you messed with the wrong girl....I'll be up there later with the shit pasta you left in my street. Stopped here today because I was in the area and was looking for a quick lunch. Upon arrival the place was pretty busy. The line was spread out all over so nobody knew who ordered and who didn't. I ordered 3 slices because they were in the smaller side. Order a white with ricotta and tomato, buffalo chicken and plain Sicilian. The white pizza while tasty was ice cold, trashed it. The buffalo chicken was good not great. The slice was a bit sloppy and had a excessive amount one blue cheese on it. The crust on both the white and buffalo was very crispy and thick, similar to a pan pizza. The best slice was the Sicilian, it was cooked perfect and the sauce was delicious. Not too sweet and just the right amount of cheese. They have an ample amount of seating but the tables were dirty from previous patrons. Solid 3 stars read more

Ordered a GF pizza for delivery to my hotel. It was Super Bowl Sunday and told it would be about an hour. No problem, busy day. I get it. After 90 min I called to check on order and person who answered the phone said they were backed up and if I didn't receive my order in another 20 min to call back? Seriously?? Love this place! The food is amazing. The service is fast and efficient. And the facilities are always nice and clean! Unfortunately I have to update this due to a handful of negative experiences. Last week I ordered a delivery order totaling $10. The man on the phone informed me that it needs to be $12 for delivery. Without asking he offered to do it that one time, but from there on I needed to order at least $12. I told him no problem and thanked him for his accomaditions. After 1 1/2 hours I didn't receive my order. I called the restaurant to inquire on it and I was informed that the restaurant had no records of my order. Fast forward to today and my co workers and I placed a big order for pick up. Everything seemed well until I got to my salad and I was gives MAYO as a salad dressing instead of Ranch.
