Unfortunately this time Primohoagies let us down. When i see any type of cheesesteak on a menu (as a person who's worked food service for 45 years) i immediately think grill. Fresh tasty steak or chicken with fresh peppers/onions and or mushrooms grilled to a heavenly perfection topped with a melty cheese. Primo hoagies gives nothing of the sort. Think premade protein (heavily salted) with the pre mentioned veggies. I was so disappointed. I wonder why would they not spend a bit of money to install a grill and make those sandwiches so much better? Not my idea of a great Philly cheesesteak. Meat was served in slices not chopped on the grill. Meat was about a third of the amount it should have been for the price charged. Bread was nothing special either. Sorry but I was expecting better. Server was very pleasant, no problem there. read more

Have never liked Primos's - have had them several times, various locations. I grew up just south of Philly and what Primos serves isn't a hoagie in my book. Their rolls are too hard, crust on the outside with sesame seeds. Should be a good Amoroso's Italian roll instead. Primos slices the meat way too thick, and they are skimpy with it to boot. Then to add insult to injury they put sharp cheddar on a hoagie. Nothing to like here. read more

I was craving a hoagie; not a sub or grinder or sandwich on a roll. I got a classic with sharp to go (full size). I did add extra vinegar because I like extra vinegar but don't like a soggy roll. primos Burlington NJ sucks. The order accuracy is horrible. They give you what they want not what you ordered. It's frustrating because the food is actually good if the order is correct but this particular location has kids running the store. i continue to give them chance after chance only to be disappointe. So this used to be my favorite place to get a hoagie. And yes I said a hoagie. That means hard crusted roll (soft inside), and the meat is the star. Ordered Primo's last week and they are using a new roll. It is sub standard. It is still seeded, but the roll is nothing but below satisfaction, it is soft on the outside. Just not good. I hope they switch back. They stopped using Sarcone Bakery bread years ago, but the replacement was really good. the roll now not so good. aid they switchback to their previous roll - 5 stars!!!! Definitely went down hill. Primos used to be so good. The Nonas was my favorite. I've given this place 2 opportunities to get it right. Each time the Nonas was horrible. It's as if it was taken out of a freezer and defrosted. Wtf. It used to be hot eggplant and broccoli rabe. Now it's just served cold? Standard hoagies are just ok. I hope today was an anomaly. I've been getting mild Italian hoagies from Primo's for a while and they were always delicious but, today, it was more like a ham sandwich. It should contain Prosciutto, Provolone Cheese, Sweet Capicola & Natural Casing Genoa Salami. I saw three very thin slices of salami, three very thin slices of capicola, three very thin slices of provolone, and a lot of what looked like domestic ham. I don't see anything on the menu that the sandwich resembled. Maybe someone started a sandwich but got distracted and finished with a different sandwich in mind? Some of the best hoagies around! The meats and cheeses are always incredibly fresh, with a perfect ratio of cheese, meats, and toppings/seasonings. While other places may give too much meat or too much cheese, at primo everything is perfectly balanced. I do think some improvements can be made to the customer service, and some other items ie: the coleslaw and Oreo dip are a little underwhelming considering how amazing the sandwiches are. I ordered the Soprano hoagie. I added pickles & oil/vin as well. This sandwich was delicious! The bread (my favorite part) was very fresh and the pickles really added the extra tang I like on my hoagies. They add a good amount of meat so it really fills you up. Definitely recommend. read more

My bread was so hard it sounded like I was eating a cracker hoagie with chips inside. My hoagie was sad. I called to complain but they were closed. I'm going back there tomorrow with the remainder of this hard, crunchy, munchy, stale, hoagie. The bread I understand is usually alittle tough but old and stale is unacceptable. Today I ordered on their app and didn't realize they closed early (6pm)for Labor Day (as they should) the app let me order anyway and the owner called me and informed me they were closed but would make them anyway, but they only had one seeded and one non seeded roll. He didn't have to still make them it was an honest mistake somewhere in the app and usually I would say not to and just go home, but like I told them when I got there " I worked all day outside in the heat and just wanted a real hoagie" awesome job Primos.
