Food is great. But it seems like no one ever answers the phone even when they're open. You can call them get put on hold for 10 mins hang up and call back and the it just rings for forever. But the food is really so good. When that happens we just go to the store and order, sometimes it's just one person and we can see how that's overwhelming at times. read more

Tried calling Hogie Express to place a simple order, and the experience was unbelievably frustrating. First, it rang forever before anyone picked up. When someone finally answered, they sounded annoyed and rushed, like I was bothering them just by calling. I asked a couple of basic questions about the menu, and instead of helping, the person on the phone gave me one-word answers and then hung up mid-sentence. No "thank you," no "hold on," just click -- line dead. If this is how they treat customers just trying to order, I can't imagine how bad the rest of the service must be. Nostalgic Visit Turned Sour at Hoagie Express On Wednesday, I revisited Hoagie Express with my Aunt and Uncle, eager to relive fond memories. Unfortunately, our experience was ruined by the cashier's hostile attitude. Despite placing separate orders, they remained dismissive and rude, making us feel unwelcome and disrespected. When my card was declined due to travel protection, the cashier refused to retry, becoming aggressive. I paid cash to escape the uncomfortable situation. As loyal customers for over 30 years, we were shocked by the decline in service. Hoagie Express failed to meet basic customer service standards, and I won't be returning due to this staff member's lack of training. The food is still great but that's not enough ! read more

Hoagie Express Levittown PA. The deep fried cheese steak!! This is the reason Hoagie Express got moved to the top of my list of places to go to. This is a juicy cheesesteak. The meat was very flavorful. I'm assuming the deep frying holds the flavor in. It comes with wiz on the side. One of the best things about this Cheesesteak is that it holds the Heat. It took me a while to get to this Cheesesteak and it was still hot to the touch. $8.50, that's right $8.50. They had Hanks soda and the people couldn't have been nicer. read more

Ordered a single cheese steak w/fried onions.....$9.99 is a bit much, altho they do put a decent amt of meat on their sandwishes. More importantly - whoever the guy was that "waited" on me (I believe he was the owner) was not the friendliest, as a matter of fact he was down right unfriendly, didn't look me in the eye when he spoke to me, spoke with an attitude and didn't smile....very grumpy!! Love this place. They always have the freshest ingredients, and make a generous sandwich that shows pride in what they are providing, not just slapped together and tossed out the door. Jeff and staff know what people like to eat too. They don't just offer a bunch of wild, over the top "more is better' sloppy mess sandwiches...they put thought into the combos they put together and specialities like their garlic bread cheesecake, and ahem.... FRIED CHEESTEAKS are worth going out of your way to get your hands on them. I've been looking forward to trying this place out for awhile. It's location isn't the normal shopping center or Wal-Mart/Target neighbor friendly type spot. I think this is unfortunate as it may not draw as much traffic as it could with it's different, but pretty damn good creations. I had the "The Creation" and "Deep Fried Cheesesteak" with a side of the mozzarella cheese fries, which I can't remember the last time I've had without some "wiz." The DFC was wrapped with this buttery crust that reminded me of a croissant. I expected a thick egg roll type crust but far from it. I would say the meat wasn't like a fresh cut sirloin chop but still good. The creation was a good blend of meats. One bite you get a taste of bacon and then the next you get pork roll. Deep fried cheesesteak, yummm! I searched the local area on Yelp to see what I could find and saw some pictures of a deep fried cheesesteak. I just knew that I had to try it. My girlfriend and I drove here from Langhorne to give it a try, and we had their Cajun Chicken Steak. Both sandwiches were very good. The chicken steak was not your typical overly cooked chicken that's dry, but rather moist chick steak meat with a lot of flavor with the Cajun seasoning. The deep fried steak was unique and had a separate cup of wiz cheese to dip it in. The staff here was great as they showed interest in us as customers and made us feel welcomed. Get ready if your hungry. Hoagie Express is extremely clean Hoagie shop which shells out giant hoagies and cheesesteaks. You want a lot of food for your buck? Well this is the place. My favorite is the Italian Hoagie and the cheesesteaks here. They load the sandwiches up with tremendous amounts of meat. Make sure if you order large amounts of food to order a head of time. They only have 2 people working usually, so big orders might slow them down a little when they are busy. Overall this place rocks for a quick sandwich for lunch. The only problems I see with this place is that they are closed on Mondays and they don't open till 11 every day after. Over all this place is awesome and staff is extremely nice. I recommend this place to anyone who like hoagies and cheesesteaks. Please Note: Cheesesteaks are chopped finely. Much different from a Pats and Geno's steak. I've been a Levittown resident for 33 years never have I dealt with such a rude individual in my life then at hoagie express. I walked in early about 1015 am on Monday March 26th because I had just dropped my car off at a auto shop for inspection near by and was waiting for my ride to show up in 5 minutes and was hungry. When I walked in there was no greeting the mid aged heavy set employee just looked at me. I told him I had just dropped of my car and was waiting for ride. He then responded " you can't sit in here! " i responded, " I actually was looking for something to eat, do u have a menu" , he responded in return were not open til 11 and tossed the menu at me. It was very dismissive, rude, and disrespectful. I will never eat at a place where they treat people like this. They should train people in common curtosy and how to talk to customers. read more
