Small neighborhood pub with parking up front and street parking. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is on the darker side, has a square bar on the left side and about a dozen high-top tables to the right with several TV's on various spots of the outer walls.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The crowd varied from some regulars at the bar to a mix of couples, friends and families in the seating area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I took my son twice for late Monday dinners and found only a few tables occupied. Our server on both visits was a kind and welcoming woman who was helpful with the menu. Their menu covers all of the bases - apps, soups, salads, sandwiches and suppers. They have specials posted on a whiteboard with a small tap list (several beers a few of which are craft). I had fresh Fiddlehead IPA on tap both times. For my first time I ordered the Soprano - Prosciutto, Spicy Capicola, Genoa Salami, Sharp Provolone, Lettuce, Tomato and Onion. Finished with Olive Oil, Vinegar and a Dash of Italian Seasoning. $11 They give a choice of seeded or non and of course I went seeded. I would say it's close to a clone of Mazzanti's classic Italian. I really enjoyed it and would order it again. The home made chips that came with it were fresh and crispy. Second go around I had The "Tip" Sandwich - Seasoned Petite Tenderloin Tips, Sautéed Onion & Mushrooms, American Cheese, Garlic Stick Bread. $14 Delicious portions of tender beef tip, a thick layer of American cheese, and a perfect balance of sautéed onion and mushroom mixed in on that crispy seeded roll made my night . Every bite was on point. My son ordered a cheese burger and said it was very good. He could only eat half and was stuffed. I would certainly return if in the area. I went to this place with my wife for the first time because a lot of my coworkers at Tullytown Home Depot said the food is the best and price great!!! Second time here since December of 2022. The food has been decent, though they don't really have mixed drink specials like the place I just left to come here because it was too crowded and loud. Pines usually has a pretty decent middle aged type crowd, as opposed to all the millennials etc who play crappy music etc. They have a Touch Tunes music system that you can play music on while you're waiting really long for the 1 waitress for the entire dining area on a St Patrick's weekend. Maybe it was just a wave that came in with me but you'd think they'd staff up for a busy weekend. Aside from that like I said the food is decent. read more

LOVE this place! It is a family owned small hole in the wall old fashioned tavern in Bristol. I can't say enough great things about this little gem. Everything from the food, to the atmosphere, to the service is amazing. I've brought several people here & they all loved it. The food is very fresh & the menu is so unique. This time I had the Buffalo cauliflower, beer battered shrimp with creamy orange horseradish sauce, & the hot cowboy sandwich. They even have happy hour specials so wine was $5. Bartenders are always super friendly (shout out to Diane for taking the time to explain different things on the menu as well as give us the history of the family tavern). In what appears to be an old, renovated home on the corner of Radcliff and Farragut is the Pines Tavern. A small neighborhood bar with several high-top tables for eating in. Fairly decent menu with slightly elevated bar food. Blackboard specials and a decent beer list. Wings boned and boneless are served by the pound and are more than enough for two to share. Although the servers work as a team and are very friendly, the service is a bit slow. The Pines is more of a come, watch the game and hang atmosphere so not if you're looking to eat in a hurry, the Pines is not the place to go. read more

My sister and I have been there multiple times, although we are not regulars. We've seen countless times, where they are catered to. The food is ok, the service is HORRIBLE!! We went there last night hoping to have some dinner. There were only 2 available tables. One of the waitresses cleared the table. My sister and I was going to sit down, the table was not completely clean. We waited for her to come back with menus and a cleaning cloth. We waited over 5 minutes, went back to the bar. She was serving her regular customers drinks. I'd say if you're not a regular customer, why bother. We will never go back there again. read more

We are reminded and time and time again not to judge a book by its cover. This local, family-owned place is both warm and welcoming. Oh, yeah has some crazy interesting food options. Not your usual pub grub. Very diverse options. Yes, they have what you'd expect-- wings and burgers but these are the styles you've had at other pubs thanks to the innovative chefs in the kitchen who like to mess around and experiment. First off, the French own soup clearly was homemade. "Wow!!", I said upon the first slurp. The bread even had some crispness to it and the broth had a nice sweet flavor. Great for those upcoming cold days. My wife had the Stop Short grilled cheese and I devoured a 1/2 rack of baby back ribs with grilled asparagus in place of fries. Made for a fabulous meal. Dry dusted and then topped with someones special recipe BBQ sauce... would have bought a bottle had they sold it. Found this place by chance when I had a craving for a Roast Pork sandwich (philly style) . I just googled "Roast Pork sandwich near me" and POOF! There they were.... I called..., a very gracious woman answered and took my order, I also got a shrimp caesar salad and a couple root beers to be delivered to my job. She told me it would be there in 45 min or so. SHE WAS WRONG!!!!! They were there in 31 min. i couldnt have been more satisfied with the entire experience. This is one of those great little joints that only locals know about. The chef makes very creative dishes that are unexpected from the appearance of the joint. You really can't go wrong with any of the daily specials. The tip sandwich is particularly good. Not a lot of seating and service can be a bit slow if on a lunch hour (only because of the good crowds and fresh to-order food). It's worth the wait. read more

I came here last night with a friend for a quick dinner. I had "The Pinnacle" with pulled pork, lobster mac and cheese, and a few other toppings. My friend had a 1/3 pound angus burger with "The Freak" toppings, which was supposed to include pulled pork, onion ring, etc. but the chef forgot the pulled pork. We also shared a cup of chili. I thought my sandwich was pretty okay. I felt that the pulled pork in my sandwich could've used more sauce; it was a bit lacking in the flavor department. However, as a sandwich, overall it was quite tasty. This was in spite of it being topped with "lobster mac and cheese" of which not a single bite of lobster was able to make it onto my sandwich. Also, I found it odd that in their lobster mac and cheese they used large shells as the pasta. My friend thought the burger was okay as well. She said that it was one of the greasiest burgers she'd ever eaten. This did seem to be the truth. As she bit into it, grease exploded from different directions onto the plate and table. She was also annoyed that they forgot her pulled pork on the burger but they did make up for it. We got free cheesecake for dessert which was absolutely the most delicious part of the meal. I thought the chili was okay. Again, my friend thought so too. Nothing spectacular but decently good. My friend thought it had too much of a tomato flavor to it. I can admit that they used a bit too much tomato, but it was still pretty good. Once again, the dessert of cheesecake really was the highlight of the meal. read more
