The blonde right hair has been back at the table since I've been seated flirting instead of doing her job

I stopped in at this diner and left extremely disappointed. We spent $66, and my steak fajitas alone were $25, but they came with mostly onions and peppers and barely any steak. For that price, I expected a lot better. To make matters worse, my pregnant fiancée was served pancakes that were clearly stale. They were hard, dense, and had no fluff to them at all. When you pressed on them, they stayed indented instead of springing back. They honestly felt like they had been reheated rather than made fresh. The biggest disappointment, though, was the staff. Even though it was around 2:40 a.m. and the restaurant was busy, several servers--and what appeared to be a manager--were sitting with customers having loud, inappropriate conversations about sex and other topics that shouldn't be discussed while working. Instead of focusing on the guests and the quality of the food, they seemed more interested in socializing. And I'm pretty sure the guys name is charlee he seems to be the manager. I don't normally leave negative reviews, but this experience was unacceptable. I hope the owner takes the time to look into what's happening because there are some serious issues that need attention. These people that are supposed to be working have been back here since I've been seated

Listen to the reviews folks. Highly disappointed. Food quality is poor. They put blue cheese on my spinach omelette. Yuk. Please look at the receipt. Overcharged with a To Go fee & Service Fee? In this economy, that's terrible business. I'll NEVER eat here again. Never in the history of EVER.

Our party of 4 were "walk ins" since our reservations got messed up elsewhere. We felt fortunate to get a table last minute. We were seated in the front room which was a bit too bright (!!!). It was a large table for four. The room was quiet (other than a noisy kid a few tables over but that was short lived). So many restaurants are too loud and you have to shout to have a conversation therefore we truly appreciated the solitude. The owner, Bruce, came over to greet us. We appreciated his gesture as he obviously cares about his customers. He told us a little bit about the restaurant. We ordered a round of cocktails. The only Rose wine on their wine list had to go back as it had a nasty taste...3 of us agreed on that. It was quickly replaced with white wine. House Scotch was a generous pour and very smooth. Martini also good. I thought prices were reasonable on the alcohol. On to the food. Crab cakes were excellent as Bruce recommended. I enjoyed the fish and chips and our other friend seemed to enjoy the meat loaf. I thought the menu was ideal...sandwiches offered as well as dinners. I believe it is the same menu all day...which I like...sometimes we just want a sandwich for dinner. Our server was very good (thank you Christine). It was all timely and not rushed. Next time we hope to be seated in the room that faces the river. It had better atmosphere and view of the river. Much nicer than the front room. Hubby would like to add King George in our rotation of restaurants. We will definitely be back. I am glad to see that Bristol has improved a lot over the years. The walkway along the river was all lit up and it was such a beautiful night. Lots of people strolling around and others fishing on the dock. Overall we were very happy that it all worked out and we stumbled on a great place. I highly recommend.

But I went again in June and the menu is extremely limited and the food was not good. The wines are good and the two appetizers I've had each time are still delicious: tuna tartare, and the truffle fries. But each time I went I had the burger and it's bad. Very bland and last time it was too under so I got it well this time and it was straight burnt. It was bitter I didn't finish it. It only comes with cheese lettuce and onions, very boring. The service is good I had the same server both times she's very nice and always helpful with any questions and recommendations. I went on a Friday night walk in and there was no wait. Also the bathroom sign has an arrow to direct you but it's pointing the wrong way so just walk past the sign to get to the bathroom. All in all I won't be back for the food. They have a patio so maybe I'll come back for a drink to sit outdoors.

There wasn't service outside so you have to go in and order/pay and bring it out. The server Alex helped my husband carry everything out and even came back outside with a bowl of water for my dog. He was so nice and helpful. But it's a lot to have to keep going in and out to order. So we opted not to order food or more drinks. We'll come back without our dog and dine inside for dinner. I'd love to try the food. I'm sure we'll be back for outside drinks as well.

The inside is on the darker side with brick floors and just a few windows at the front letting in some natural light. They have framed pictures hanging on the walls just about everywhere. The counter with stools was a bit tight, but a great spot to sit down and grab a bite. On my latest visit, I sat at a tiny table for two which was fine for flying solo. The booths and tables look much roomier. Food wise I stuck to simple two egg breakfasts. Sunny side up and scrambled with potatoes and I tried the hot sausage which was ground with hot pepper flakes and oil. It was a big portion with the sausage and came to about $14 and change. The eggs, toast and potatoes with no meat was a couple dollars less. Breakfasts included coffee which was a simple diner roast. The staff was friendly and kept stopping over to check on me and keep my coffee topped off. Overall, I liked the ambiance and felt like I had gone back to the 70's-early 80's with the decor and MGK classic rock playing over the speakers. They are cash only, but have an ATM on site. I've driven by the New Madison so many times over the years and I'm glad I finally stopped in. Thanks guys!

I NEVER write reviews, but this "restaurant" was so disgusting, so overpriced, and so flat-out terrible that I feel like it's my civic duty to warn everyone. The food was a straight-up nightmare. The mac and cheese was so watery it looked like cheese-flavored soup. The eggs were slimy, sticky, and honestly impossible to eat. Even the fruit tasted old and mushy, like it had been sitting out for days. I ended up with a stomach ache afterward -- and that should've been the first red flag. But it gets worse. I put my leftovers in the fridge and ONE DAY LATER they were covered in mold. MOLD. That's not just bad, that's dangerous and unacceptable for a place serving food to the public. The bathroom was tiny and uncomfortable, barely enough room to move, and for how expensive everything is, the quality is insulting. For the amount they charge, this is borderline criminal. The whole place should be inspected, shut down, and rebuilt from the foundation up -- because right now it's an embarrassment. Save your time, your money, and your stomach. DO NOT EAT HERE. We came to Amy's because we were in the nearby area and it might be my new favorite breakfast spot. The entire place looks like an old school diner that has seen better days, but to me that makes it even more endearing. There is no glitz or glamour in the decor but all the love is in the food and service. Our server brought us their GIANT menu of skillets, pancakes and more. It was a tough decision to make but I got the southern sampler which came with the MOST DELICIOUS grits I have ever had in my life. The sampler consisted of two large pieces of perfect french toast, a crispy chicken cutlet with spicy syrup and a generous serving of grits topped with tons of bacon and scallions. The portion was big enough to share, but trust me, you won't want to. My hubby got an omlette with chorizo that was really tasty and my son was obsessed with their french toast. The prices of breakfast were also comparable to a Cracker Barrel, but the service and taste was amazing. Definitely get there.

I am not sure if Management has changed but whatever it was / is needs to be addressed immediately for the sake of not losing customers. Asking to be seated at a different table other than the one we were initially seated at (bc it was right by the door and the wind coming in was freezing) was the first red flag because the hostess seemed bewildered and bothered that we wanted a new table despite there being 50-11 other open tables throughout the joint. It literally then took 15 minutes before our server greeted us and it just kept rolling downhill at a faster and faster rate by the minute. Appetizers done before our cocktails arrived, cocktails done before we could order our entrees, entrees arrived missing key components and it took a good 10 minutes before we could get our server and the minute she walks over she says oh you need the ABC ... ma'am! If you KNEW what we needed why didn't you immediately address it without us having to flag you down???!!!??? And the reason it took 10 minutes to flag her down was because the rest of the floor staff was running around like chickens with their heads cut off ignoring diners trying to get their attention. Oh and the best part was that there was this "figure of management" present ... and I say "figure of management" because he was also ignoring diners and not checking in with them like a restaurant manager typically does ... he was only going to the empty tables cleaning them, slowly adding place settings, rearranging the empty tables ... trying to look busy!!!!! It was honestly comical at one point. We asked for boxes for our food because we still never received all of what was missing despite our server acknowledging it was missing and stating she would bring it back. We literally never ever received it smh . My BF told her this was the worst service we've ever had and it probably didn't even phase her because her attitude overall was just sucky from the beginning. If this is all because of new management they need to go on and get new new management before this place's reputation is ruined.

The restaurant is in this cute little area with shops, restaurants and bars and is a popular destination because when we were leaving out after finishing our meal the place was jam packed and there was at least an hour wait (but no wait when we came in thankfully). It's important to note that this is NOT authentic Mexican food ... but it was pretty good nonetheless. The margarita flight was cute and gave us the ability to try a few flavors out before committing to a large one. The favorites were the white peach and pineapple margaritas (the other 2 in the flight were the traditional and prickly pear). We ordered the Crab Mexican Street Corn for an appetizer and while it was loaded with crab, it wasn't Mexican Street Corn ... it was seasoned corn with old bay and a few other ingredients topped with crab. I ordered the Steak & Shrimp Combo Fajitas which was a nice portion size (I took 3/4 home) and the flavors were pretty darn tasty, but when you order fajitas you expect the "sizzle" and these didn't have that nor were they have the right temperature ... they were just warm when I wanted and expected them to be hot. The refried beans were yummy despite them not looking too appetizing but the rice was too soft. Service was good overall and pricing was also reasonable. If we're in the neighborhood again and in the mood for margaritas we may just stop back in.

The inside was clean and the bar area I sat at although small was a decent spot to have a drink and grub. The staff was mostly young kids who were very nice. The chips and salsa they offer were boring. The salsas both roja and verde lacked flavor, mostly spice. The chips were fresh, but thick and bland. I think a thinner homemade style would work better. The first bartender I dealt with was great with the menu. She recommended several menu items. I ended up rolling with the Shrimp and Crab Enchiladas at $18 - jumbo lump crab, old bay cream cheese, tiger shrimp, cilantro and lime rice. The lime rice was worthless. It had zero flavor and was dry. The Enchiladas were creamy, but lacked spice and complexity. The tiger shrimp had a delicious grilled, moist flavor and were the best part. My second trip had a newer bartender who was getting her feet wet. She was friendly, but busy familiarizing herself with the bar so I went simple and ordered Birria Tacos - $15 Braised beef, onions, cilantro, lime Oaxaca cheese, consommé. The beef was dry and not tender. The shells were ok. The best part was the lime Oaxaca cheese and the consommé somewhat helped me get the beef down. The portion was very small. Not a good value in my humble opinion. The other patrons were mostly young and enjoying margaritas. I think booze is the draw to this spot. Without it your just getting average Mexican grub. Heck of a location in the Borough, but my visits left me longing for a hot pepper!
