Nice mom and pop shop. I've been here 3x so far already. On my first visit, I gotta say the waiter was providing a wonderful customer service. Extremely polite and friendly. The food was not bad. I can't really put into words how sad I am to write this review. For my family, this place used to be out go to breakfast spot. The old owners were amazing and you always felt good supporting a family business. The mom, grandpa, son, daughter, and daughter-in-law all worked there. The good was good, the energy was great, and you really felt like part of the family. Note how all of these positives are past tense. We went back recently and it was abysmal. The cook was dropping F-bombs with every other word!!! We were treated to his opinion of the "F-ing young kid" that works there, the "F-ing stuff that spilled all over the inside of the fridge", the "F-ing placement of the fridge" and other hits that I don't remember. The food tasted like they just didn't care while making it and for the first time since we've been going the place was just dirty!!! Disrespectful and try to refuse me entry with my service dog and tried to make me leave the place and said if I sit down, they refuse to serve me. I told him I was here for takeout so when I ordered, he charged me but all of a sudden my food was ready And didn't add what I ordered. My service dog started barking at me because I was getting worked up he told me to keep my dog quiet yet. He did not tell any of the people in there eating to stop talking and my dog was doing his job. Finally, found myself a great local restaurant family owned and has great food for great prices. Why go to IHOP which tastes like there is massive amounts of chemicals in their food when you can go here and everything taste fresh and comes out fast! Pancake Special - The sausage was the star of this dish amazing crispness and flavor. The pancakes were good but after reading the reviews and rereading the name of the restaurant I should have went Waffles lol whammy! Banana and Pecan Waffles - So delicious! I want to try some of there other items but this dish you cannot go wrong with. Another thing, I believe the owner of the restaurant was serving us and she was amazing. My husband found this place online so we figured we would give it a try today. Worst decision ever. Walking in the place, front area off to the side was messy, toaster laying there in the mix- honestly looked worse than the junk room at my house. Was seated at a booth that was so tiny I am not sure my daughters would even have fit comfortably- husband and I wound up sitting on opposite sides and had the table turned between us so we could breathe. Someone came over quickly for our drink order but that was about the only good thing of the entire visit/ and she wasn't even our waitress! I ordered their "famous" chicken and waffles and husband order a cheddar cheese omelette. We were one of only three tables in the entire place and it took forever to get our food. Hubby saw my food be put up in the window and it sat there. For over ten minutes. Was there for a good five minutes while the waitress watched it get cold. She finally spoke up and asked the cooks where the omelette was. So they had just not made one of the two dishes! They were far from swamped. So we finally get the food. Husband's cheddar omelette was American cheese. His toast was only toasted on one side - not sure how that even happens, and the butter didn't even melt so zero heat to the toast after all that. The hash browns I don't even know what to say about them- they looked like an overdone messy pile of greasy shredded potatoes. My waffles were ice cold, no butter, not that it would have melted. My chicken fingers were basic tasteless frozen tenders, one was cut partially in half like someone was checking for doneness then threw it back in the fryer. They were dry and barely passed for chicken. I struggled to even eat half of my meal. Waitress brought my husband a coffee refill and dropped a few creamers on the table for him- one was literally empty - opened container that dripped on the table and one was stained with coffee like it has been recycled for years When he was finally done, the waitress asked me three times if I wanted a take home box for my uneaten food. Never asked if there was something wrong with it after I kept refusing to not take it with me. They propped the door open from the kitchen when to the outside so we got the draft so whatever food my husband got that was remotely warm got cold very fast. While I was waiting for him to eat, was looking around and saw so many ceiling tiles stained with water marks. Overall a disgusting, dirty place with awful service. Seriously not sure how they pass any health inspections or are still operating. If they used to be great, clearly something happened because this place is quite the opposite now. First impression was great. We were greeted by everyone who works there including the chef. Everyone was extremely polite and friendly. The food my son and I ordered was amazing, one of the best western omelets I've ever had and that's no exaggeration, my son said the pancakes were really good. I have only been here one time about 6 months ago with my family when we wanted some breakfast. The restaurant is small but the staff were friendly and welcoming when my party of 7 came in to eat. The service was quick and the waitress was friendly and attentive when it came to bringing everything we needed. I had the eggs, toast, home fries and meat meal and the portion was huge! What could improve is firing whoever the waitress is working right now. We were seated then asked what we would like to drink. When she arrived with our drinks we were ready to order she did not have her book on her disappeared for 15 mins. Then when a regular showed up she ran to get his order. Then my girlfriend went to the counter to ask us that where she should order because we waited almost half an hour to order and there was only 3 other people in the whole establishment she was rude and said no go back to your seat I will come take your order then. All of our food was delicious, but be prepared to wait awhile. There were only 2 waitresses working, so that meant we had a lot of downtime. Wonderful find!!! Family run and re-opened after some brief downtime. Service extremely personable. Food is great. I eat omelets every week and my Denver was one of the best I've had - it's NOT a mass market omelet, but definitely family made. Try it with Swiss! I looked for somewhere to eat breakfast when I was in town for business. Hampton House was one of the top choices. When I pulled up it looked like an old oriental restaurant. I went inside and was pleasantly surprised to see a nicely renovated dining room. The menu had a nice selection and my friend and I got stuffed. My friend had the Hampton House Combo which had enough food for two people. He could not eat it all. I ordered a cheesesteak omelet which came with home fries and toast. Wow. I think I ate it all and didn't need to eat again the rest of the day. Everything tasted fine. I think our server got distracted as we waited a while to leave after finishing our meal. Be aware that the location is a little off, Hampton house is right next to, Street Road accessories and FedEx office store. On Street Road. As soon as I walk into this restaurant I was impressed, I was seated as soon as possible when arriving, coffee was brought out to me with in 2 min of sitting. With a menu. The menu has a lot of breakfast options to choose from. I end up going with the "super special" Comes with two eggs, home fries, toast, coffee, and your choice of scrapple, pork roll, bacon, or sausage, I wind up going with the scrapple. Everything was delicious. The service was fantastic, with my server coming back every few minutes Pooring my cup with coffee!! Not sure what happened here, we went on Wednesday 1/31 and were going to bring my grandkids on Saturday, not any more. Used to be a clean place. 1. Coffee mug was stained badly, 2. Dirty fork that still had egg on it and 3. The bathroom was DISGUSTING, it seems it hadn't been cleaned in days, sticky floor and the toilet and sink were filthy. Hampton house is a special place. They are known for their waffles. Today we stopped for breakfast and left very happy. The restaurant itself is very clean and looks like it was recently remodeled. The hostess was beyond nice and we were sat immediately. It was early so it wasn't very busy. The restaurant did quickly fill up. Parking can be a bit of an issue here. There aren't many spaces available. My wife ordered the cream chipped beef. I personally don't care for it but she loved it. The cream looked a bit off to me but she said it was great. The home fries were just okay, nothing special. I went with the banana French toast. It was amazing!! Caramelized banana on 3 thick slices of French toast. No syrup was needed. It was that good! The bacon was cold and not very good. Coffee was also very good and piping hot. Overall it was a good breakfast and we will return. read more

The food here is ok. I wanted to dine for brunch. I once ordered a chicken salad sandwich (like actual chicken salad with mayonnaise and such). I was served chicken from a can mixed with mayo and nothing else. It was gross. Sometimes the service is slow as I think they're short staffed. The last few times I've gone with friends (cause I wouldn't choose this establishment myself) the server is fully sweating all over the table and our drinks. I liked my breakfast at Hampton House Waffles & Eatery. The dining room was nicer than expected, and service was outspokenly friendly and accommodating. I sat at the short counter where I was attended to by several people. Coffee arrived promptly, and my order was taken with interest. The server wanted to be sure that I knew what I was getting with the Gus' Special Omelet. He described in detail that it was a pancake type egg dish, with the home fries, as well as the feta, onions and green peppers inside the egg shell. No problem. That was exactly what I wanted. It arrived about ten minutes later, filling the entire plate from rim to rim. The rye toast arrived a few moments later, lathered in butter. A few shakes of the pepper shaker and I was good to go. It was a solid, filling meal. Plenty of ingredients to load it up, with each element identifiable on the tongue. Maybe, a little more feta would have been helpful. The toast was also worthy of special recognition, as it was very hot from the toaster, and had a great crunch. Next time, have to try the namesake waffles. read more

Big fan of their chicken and waffles but specifically with their traditional "bone-in" chicken, but every time I've requested it in the past few months, they've told me it's unavailable. Did they stop using old grease for the potatoes yet? My 2019 Google review- I gave this place one star because when I went, it was one of the most disappointing meals and experiences I've ever had. I've been looking forward to going here for a while - small local business just starting up the past few years. Unfortunately, I was very let down. I got a waffle and home fries with someone and when we got the food, the waitress vanished to the back for a while. We enjoyed the waffles but the home fries had the nastiest taste of old grease I have ever tasted on potatoes. Considering the potatoes were a side that cost additional money, I thought they would be made fresh but although they look nice, the taste was too overwhelming to even eat the home fries. We finished our waffles and oj and sat waiting to see the waitress again. Maybe because it was later in the morning they didn't expect it to be busy? We saw her again and hoped she would come back and ask about the obviously untouched home fries and how the food was but she just placed down the check, picked up the potatoes asking, "all done?" and i say yes but before i can mention the home fries she leaves to go to the back and talks to a someone about coffee on the way. The waffle wasn't so outstanding that it makes up for the old grease covered potatoes and lack of service, hoping this isn't the norm for others. Maybe it was an isolated incident, there are a lot of people who seem to enjoy this place, but i didn't have a great experience. read more

I stopped here with my party of five on Saturday morning around 10 AM. Luckily early enough to beat the rush that came in shortly after. Service was extremely slow. We waited over 35 minutes for our food. The food itself was ok but after that long wait I was it would be spectacular. I ordered the Hampton House which came with 3 eggs, 3 pancakes, 3 pieces of bacon, 2 sausage links and home fries. The eggs and home fries tasted very similar-I think they used the same funny tasting oil for both. The pancakes, sausage and bacon were good but pretty standard.
