I needed a cake for work and was excited when I remembered I wanted to try J&B and that they opened early. They have a large parking lot and cute outdoor seating with umbrellas which I will definitely use during my next visit. Walking in the smell of heaven just slapped me in my face and I was transported back in time to what I say was a perfect little bakery .... every where you turned there was a new and exciting piece of deliciousness to drool over. They offered free chocolate cherry butter cookies which were divine!!!!! I didn't purchase any because my focus was on the cake (& on the donuts and dog treats that mysteriously were in my hands when I left lol). There were so many options for cake that in order to wind my decision down I asked the employee what their top cakes were and based on his reply I decided to go with the Strawberry Shortcake ... which was hands down the best I've ever had! It had those delightful "crunchies" the Good Humor strawberry shortcake ice cream bars have which made the cake out of this world! The donuts were massive and so fun! Unique options like the fruity pebbles and froot loops donuts made everyone in the office smile. I've been to JB Bakery a few times now, and I somehow walk out with way too much deliciousness every single time. There's a lot to look at inside, and the staff is always patient and helpful. The donuts are huge, super thick and heavy with lots of filling and plenty of toppings, and they'll absolutely put you into a food coma. My favorites are their fruit desserts, especially the rainbow cake mini slices filled with raspberry that hits the perfect balance of tart and sweet. What can I say about JB bakery? Well Baker boy Steve is amazing and his staff are fantastic especially the cake decorator. She did an amazing job for our engagement cakes as well as our wedding cake and it was our reception asked me where it was from. I had my mind made up when I ordered my mother's 60th birthday cake special order from JB bakery. It was a chocolate cake with a raspberry filling and it did not disappoint and that was over 16 years ago however, when we got married, the only place that popped into my mind was JB bakery and they're amazing selection and the ability to custom make whatever creation you would like everybody there helps and you can see how they work as a team, it's really nice, especially since I grew up in a family business and my mother also is a retired baker so I understand what goes into every step of having a great business but also staying fresh and innovative in this day and age. I will have to look through my photos and find the pictures of our cakes and see if I can attach them to this post. It is actually quite amazing and at our reception we also had the dessert table with the Italian cookie tray and the lemon cello cake the orange Creamsicle cake , the chocolate mousse cake. Most of these are seasonal cakes we got married in June, but the other cakes were strawberry shortcake and black forest cake. I think those two last cakes are pretty common to have available, but I'm sure you could always ask them. I have ordered lemon donuts for my boss who loves lemon and also cookies that made everybody talk during her birthday. I will do my best to attach these photos. They're quite beautiful. read more

I normally would rate JB bakery four stars or higher because usually their service is good and their treats are superb! However, today I picked up an order that was placed last week, for a sheet cake and a 15 piece pastry tray and the pastry tray was non-existent although it was paid for. The gentleman who gave me the cake looked directly at my receipt, so he knew what I was supposed to receive. Yet, he said nothing about the 15-piece pastry tray and was going to allow me to walk out of the door without it. When I conversed with my daughter regarding the order, she points out that part of the order was missing. How do you look directly at a customer's receipt and it clearly says a cake plus a pastry tray and then fail to say anything about it? What is even funnier is that he wasn't going to give me the receipt, I had to ask him if I could have it. JB Bakery... you have to do better! read more

I have wanted to try this spot for a long time. What drew me in was the social media posts by baker boy Steve. I am in my 50th year of baking for my family, and I truly enjoy baking...that is exactly what came across the media posts: this guy finds JOY in baking! Our GPS took us on a roundabout way home to New Jersey from Bucks County yesterday evening, and we passed the bakery quite unexpectedly and turned the car around to stop in...after 7 pm. The shop was filled with cakes, pastries, cupcakes, cookies, breads and donuts. We chose a box of kruschiki (Polish bowtie cookies) and a dozen donuts. The box of donuts was so heavy! When we arrived home and tried the donuts, we understood the weight...the donuts were generously filled. I have been seeking a lemon filled donut with a subtle, simple glaze rather than frosting or powdered sugar. These donuts were perfectly lightly glazed and bursting with a lemon filling that was sweet and tart without being overly sweet. This is the best lemon donut I've ever tasted! The boys really enjoyed their peanut butter and jelly donuts, too. I am looking forward to trying the raspberry apple donuts and kruschiki. Steve tossed in a huge freshly baked peanut cookie which was crisp along the edge and soft at the center...simply delicious. The staff was friendly and efficient. This is not a fancy spot but rather a place which evoked a nostalgic feeling of when the emphasis was not as much on aesthetics but rather was on the quality of the products and the baking. Wow, the choices are simply endless! It's pretty hard to focus, because everything grabs your attention. They promoted butter cookies via samples and let's just say the marketing tactic worked on me! I ordered several varieties of butter cookies which were so buttery and soft with a perfect touch of sprinkles. I also ordered a few cupcakes for fun. Loved that the icing is whipped and creamy, not dense and heavy. But other than that, the cupcakes are ok, nothing unique you can't find at your local grocery store. Always love coming here and supporting small businesses. Literally all the baked goods look amazing and it's always so hard to choose what to pick. Although I haven't been at the shop for a while I typically order their donuts or cookies. They offer a really large selection of donuts to choose from which is awesome. We needed a wedding cake. We went to another bakery first that people said was good and has been working with our restaurant in recent years. It was awful! RUDE and poor quality. Evidently, it USED to be good. That was the former owner. I'd never go back. Thankfully, I knew about JB Bakery on High St, and were able to make an appointment to see Sarah, their cake lady. What a delightful experience we had with her!! We used their freezer case to spread it all out (although a small table and two chairs would have been good, but they are tight on extra room). She was patient, helpful and looked at the pictures I had on my phone. Her samples were all well-labeled and delicious. Everything was so good it was hard to decide! And much to my delight, the complicated designs I hoped for were one yes after another!! She knew her stuff and was able to help us figure out how much to order. ( While we were there I saw a ton of other stuff we want to come back for later that I didn't remember they had.) Well, when that cake arrived at Carlucci's Waterfront this last Sunday right before the wedding (so it would be fresh), it was spectacular!!! Sarah did an incredible job and it was absolutely delicious. They even gave us an extra box so we could bring home the top layer to freeze for our anniversary. I went in most recently and wasn't acknowledged by two female employees. One was helping a customer and the other was writing out specials on the board. Still not an excuse not to greet a customer. The other employee was finishing up with the customer she seemed to know who was showing her pictures of his grandkids another white male customer came in and she immediately acknowledged him with a warm greeting. When I looked at her with an astonished expression. She asked me what I wanted. There is something off about this bakery. On Mother's Day 2025, I drove by JB bakery and there were Mother's Day cupcakes outside for sale that I brought for my mom $11 for half dozen, which I thought was pricey. Well we bit into the cupcakes and they were so stale, hard, dry and spongey. The absolute worst cupcake I ever had, I couldn't finish after one bite, neither my mother. At that moment it was clear they took old cupcakes and re-frosted them and added a Mother's Day tag on the top with sprinkles as if buyers wouldn't know what a stale cup cake taste like. Mediocre bakery with a vendictive agenda? Possibly so. My mom pre-ordered multiple loafs of red/ green colored bread she needed for sandwhiches she's making for a holiday party on Saturday. The bread was not up to standard when she went in for pick up on Friday (the top of the bread spilled well beyond the pan in an awkward bubble) This wouldn't have worked for dozens of neat little square sandwhiches she needed to cut. They agreed that the loafs could get remade and ready for pick up Saturday morning (day of the party). Well she got a text Saturday morning at 2:40am saying no one is available to make her bread!!! This is insanity. Now I'm running around trying to help my mom source out appropriate bread from a grocery store because JB Bakery canceled her order hours before her pick up time. If you weren't going to remake the bread you should have just said so. I could have problem solved this sooner rather than 4 hours before our event. Thank for nothing JB Bakery. Shame on you. As a Medical Sales Representative, I have the ability to literally pour HUNDREDS of dollars a month worth of business to JB Bakery on my Corporate Credit Card, IF I wanted to (AND I actually just today picked up a large $152.00 Thanksgiving cookie order to give out to my clients that I pre-ordered!). PLUS, I ordered $40.00+ worth of rugelach and other treats on TOP of the $152.00 that I paid for on the phone! So we're talking $192 + dollars now!! Now, you would THINK that I would get a "Thank You" or "We Appreciate Your Business!" or something from the owner or the kids who work here? Nope...not even a "Have a Nice Day". Wow! While they DO have good cookies, pasties, etc, the prices are a bit steep, which I'm ok with for the most part. What TRULY bothers me are the staff who work here (The owner is professional though). Hardly ever will you get service with a smile. It's a shame. NONE of them seem happy to work there! Also, the "Let's Go Brandon" cookies are somewhat inappropriate. My wife found a new bakery for us to try some treats from JB bakery. The strawberry cream donut is what got our attention and it was pretty good. Not as sweet as I thought it was going to be which was good. Peanut butter chocolate cake also was not as sweet which was good and the peanut butter was not as strong a little bit more subtle. The cake was soft but not as moist as we prefer. Lastly the bread pudding which is one of both of our favorite types of deserts was okay. It lacked raisins or any fruit inside so my wife doctored it up by griddling it and serving with butter pecan ice cream which helped.
