Still 5 Star. Holiday work party threw down this Biscoff cake from JB. Looks amazing tastes amazing and nobody said give me just a small piece. We cut that bad boy in line with the Biscoff cookies on the outside so they were massive slices and they were devoured in seconds. That's how you team build and celebrate the season Biscoff Nation... thank you JB Bakery

What can I say about JB bakery? Well Baker boy Steve is amazing and his staff are fantastic especially the cake decorator. She did an amazing job for our engagement cakes as well as our wedding cake and it was our reception asked me where it was from. I had my mind made up when I ordered my mother's 60th birthday cake special order from JB bakery. It was a chocolate cake with a raspberry filling and it did not disappoint and that was over 16 years ago however, when we got married, the only place that popped into my mind was JB bakery and they're amazing selection and the ability to custom make whatever creation you would like everybody there helps and you can see how they work as a team, it's really nice, especially since I grew up in a family business and my mother also is a retired baker so I understand what goes into every step of having a great business but also staying fresh and innovative in this day and age. I will have to look through my photos and find the pictures of our cakes and see if I can attach them to this post. It is actually quite amazing and at our reception we also had the dessert table with the Italian cookie tray and the lemon cello cake the orange Creamsicle cake , the chocolate mousse cake. Most of these are seasonal cakes we got married in June, but the other cakes were strawberry shortcake and black forest cake. I think those two last cakes are pretty common to have available, but I'm sure you could always ask them. I have ordered lemon donuts for my boss who loves lemon and also cookies that made everybody talk during her birthday. I will do my best to attach these photos. They're quite beautiful.

Came in just for donuts and they were delicious! The donuts themselves are delicious but the jelly in the jelly donut made it. Also a fan of the cream filled donuts and this one was a hit. At $2.50 a donut they are a steal compared to other bakeries.

Tried the carrot cake slice and it did not disappoint -- perfectly spiced, rich, and moist with just the right amount of sweetness. A must-try if you're into classic desserts done right!

Always love coming here and supporting small businesses. Literally all the baked goods look amazing and it's always so hard to choose what to pick. Although I haven't been at the shop for a while I typically order their donuts or cookies. They offer a really large selection of donuts to choose from which is awesome. My last visit I ordered a dozen donuts for a girl trip and everyone bragged about how delicious the donuts were! Most weekends are usually busy and service is friendly. I'd say prices are fair especially for the size. Highly recommend coming here if you're looking for a sweet treat.

Sarah and I worked together to incorporate all the intricate details I wanted. And WOW, did she ever!

We needed a wedding cake. We went to another bakery first that people said was good and has been working with our restaurant in recent years. It was awful! RUDE and poor quality. Evidently, it USED to be good. That was the former owner. I'd never go back. Thankfully, I knew about JB Bakery on High St, and were able to make an appointment to see Sarah, their cake lady. What a delightful experience we had with her!! We used their freezer case to spread it all out (although a small table and two chairs would have been good, but they are tight on extra room). She was patient, helpful and looked at the pictures I had on my phone. Her samples were all well-labeled and delicious. Everything was so good it was hard to decide! And much to my delight, the complicated designs I hoped for were one yes after another!! She knew her stuff and was able to help us figure out how much to order. ( While we were there I saw a ton of other stuff we want to come back for later that I didn't remember they had.) Well, when that cake arrived at Carlucci's Waterfront this last Sunday right before the wedding (so it would be fresh), it was spectacular!!! Sarah did an incredible job and it was absolutely delicious. They even gave us an extra box so we could bring home the top layer to freeze for our anniversary. ( Yes, I put it in double 2 gallon zip locks, out of the box.) And there was a little left over for us to munch on as well.

I would give the original glazed donut a 3.5. It's fluffy but a bit dense on the inside. I like that the donut is not too sweet- perfect level of sweetness for me. The donut tasted fresh. I try donuts at every bakery that I find. Fluffy and airy is what I'm looking for in a perfect donut.

The cutest local bakery around. Friendly staff, delicious pastries and treats. Definitely my go to place for the best cannoli ever, when I'm visiting NJ. Super crunchy outside shell with a flavorful filling. Highly recommend giving them a try.

I NEVER write reviews, but this "restaurant" was so disgusting, so overpriced, and so flat-out terrible that I feel like it's my civic duty to warn everyone. The food was a straight-up nightmare. The mac and cheese was so watery it looked like cheese-flavored soup. The eggs were slimy, sticky, and honestly impossible to eat. Even the fruit tasted old and mushy, like it had been sitting out for days. I ended up with a stomach ache afterward -- and that should've been the first red flag. But it gets worse. I put my leftovers in the fridge and ONE DAY LATER they were covered in mold. MOLD. That's not just bad, that's dangerous and unacceptable for a place serving food to the public. The bathroom was tiny and uncomfortable, barely enough room to move, and for how expensive everything is, the quality is insulting. For the amount they charge, this is borderline criminal. The whole place should be inspected, shut down, and rebuilt from the foundation up -- because right now it's an embarrassment. Save your time, your money, and your stomach. DO NOT EAT HERE. There is no glitz or glamour in the decor but all the love is in the food and service. Our server brought us their GIANT menu of skillets, pancakes and more. It was a tough decision to make but I got the southern sampler which came with the MOST DELICIOUS grits I have ever had in my life. The sampler consisted of two large pieces of perfect french toast, a crispy chicken cutlet with spicy syrup and a generous serving of grits topped with tons of bacon and scallions. The portion was big enough to share, but trust me, you won't want to. My hubby got an omlette with chorizo that was really tasty and my son was obsessed with their french toast. The prices of breakfast were also comparable to a Cracker Barrel, but the service and taste was amazing. Definitely get there.

I am not sure if Management has changed but whatever it was / is needs to be addressed immediately for the sake of not losing customers. Asking to be seated at a different table other than the one we were initially seated at (bc it was right by the door and the wind coming in was freezing) was the first red flag because the hostess seemed bewildered and bothered that we wanted a new table despite there being 50-11 other open tables throughout the joint. It literally then took 15 minutes before our server greeted us and it just kept rolling downhill at a faster and faster rate by the minute. Appetizers done before our cocktails arrived, cocktails done before we could order our entrees, entrees arrived missing key components and it took a good 10 minutes before we could get our server and the minute she walks over she says oh you need the ABC ... ma'am! If you KNEW what we needed why didn't you immediately address it without us having to flag you down???!!!??? And the reason it took 10 minutes to flag her down was because the rest of the floor staff was running around like chickens with their heads cut off ignoring diners trying to get their attention. Oh and the best part was that there was this "figure of management" present ... and I say "figure of management" because he was also ignoring diners and not checking in with them like a restaurant manager typically does ... he was only going to the empty tables cleaning them, slowly adding place settings, rearranging the empty tables ... trying to look busy!!!!! It was honestly comical at one point. We asked for boxes for our food because we still never received all of what was missing despite our server acknowledging it was missing and stating she would bring it back. We literally never ever received it smh . My BF told her this was the worst service we've ever had and it probably didn't even phase her because her attitude overall was just sucky from the beginning. If this is all because of new management they need to go on and get new new management before this place's reputation is ruined.

The restaurant is in this cute little area with shops, restaurants and bars and is a popular destination because when we were leaving out after finishing our meal the place was jam packed and there was at least an hour wait (but no wait when we came in thankfully). It's important to note that this is NOT authentic Mexican food ... but it was pretty good nonetheless. The margarita flight was cute and gave us the ability to try a few flavors out before committing to a large one. The favorites were the white peach and pineapple margaritas (the other 2 in the flight were the traditional and prickly pear). We ordered the Crab Mexican Street Corn for an appetizer and while it was loaded with crab, it wasn't Mexican Street Corn ... it was seasoned corn with old bay and a few other ingredients topped with crab. I ordered the Steak & Shrimp Combo Fajitas which was a nice portion size (I took 3/4 home) and the flavors were pretty darn tasty, but when you order fajitas you expect the "sizzle" and these didn't have that nor were they have the right temperature ... they were just warm when I wanted and expected them to be hot. The refried beans were yummy despite them not looking too appetizing but the rice was too soft. Service was good overall and pricing was also reasonable. The inside was clean and the bar area I sat at although small was a decent spot to have a drink and grub. The staff was mostly young kids who were very nice. The chips and salsa they offer were boring. The salsas both roja and verde lacked flavor, mostly spice. The chips were fresh, but thick and bland. I think a thinner homemade style would work better. The first bartender I dealt with was great with the menu. She recommended several menu items. I ended up rolling with the Shrimp and Crab Enchiladas at $18 - jumbo lump crab, old bay cream cheese, tiger shrimp, cilantro and lime rice. The lime rice was worthless. It had zero flavor and was dry. The Enchiladas were creamy, but lacked spice and complexity. The tiger shrimp had a delicious grilled, moist flavor and were the best part. My second trip had a newer bartender who was getting her feet wet. She was friendly, but busy familiarizing herself with the bar so I went simple and ordered Birria Tacos - $15 Braised beef, onions, cilantro, lime Oaxaca cheese, consommé. The beef was dry and not tender. The shells were ok. The best part was the lime Oaxaca cheese and the consommé somewhat helped me get the beef down. The portion was very small. Not a good value in my humble opinion. The other patrons were mostly young and enjoying margaritas. I think booze is the draw to this spot. Without it your just getting average Mexican grub. Heck of a location in the Borough, but my visits left me longing for a hot pepper!
