Stopped into JB Bakery after court the other day. I had driven by many times, but never at a moment when I could check it out. This is a traditional bakery with wall to wall refrigerated display cases showing rainbows of cakes, donuts, cookies, as well as a coffee service station for those in need of java. Everything looked great, and the young women working there were friendly and very helpful with making selections. I ordered a half doz Glazed and Vanilla Iced Donuts for the office, and one Carrot Cake Cupcake for a home dessert. None of them were as good as I had expected from just looking at them. The donuts were a bit past their prime when I picked them up before noon. Their edges were becoming hard, and the heart of the dough was no longer soft and fresh. They were still pretty good, just not the stuff of deserving a ringing endorsement. The Carrot Cake Cupcake was packaged well in a well designed plastic container, but I found the ample icing to be tasty, but lighter and less dense than true butter cream or cream cheese. The actual cake was okay, but not the moist carroty base of a true carrot cake. Again, it was decent, but far from great. The coffee was brewed as I waited, and was fine. Overall, this place is fun to explore, and perhaps there are other more delicious options within. Still, I am a donut/cupcake person, and I would not rush back for more of them. read more

Quest for the Holy Doughnut aka Doughnut Quest: Part III We drove 30 miles to try this place, and it was okay. The staff is friendly and there are a lot of doughnut varieties, but they were out of custard filled. So we had an apple filled, glazed, crunchy topped vanilla, and jelly filled. The dough was, again, dense and heavy. The crunch hurt my teeth, the glazed wasn't light and fluffy enough but had a good flavour, and the apple filled? Meh. At this point, Eet Gud remains the victor. $4.50 for 4 doughnuts + pint of milk. read more

Love love love this bakery. Every time I come up north I have to go to this bakery. They have the best cookies and baked goods. I got some of their donuts and cookies the other day and per usual they were delicious. I cannot stress how good this bakery is, I've been coming here for years. If you are in the area come to this bakery you will not regret it!! read more

Best bakery. We really don't have any in PA. We try to visit every Sunday. Steve is always willing to chat and always very pleasant

Wish they said some where this place would be closed on Monday and Tuesday, drove 40mins to cater breakfast, was boutta drop like 2k on food... welp read more

I finally got to try their pepperoni bread. It's good, but wasn't something I'd probably get again. Though a lot of other things they have are great! Their danishes are all very tasty....and I've recently become hooked on their jelly doughnuts. They're square shaped, sugar coated, and just sooooo good. The pig ears are also one of my favorites. If you're not feeling sweets, they also serve breakfast sandwiches which are simple, delicious, and very well priced. Glad to have this place on my daily commute to work. read more

JB Bakery - dozen doughnuts - Bakeries Near Me - Burlington, New Jersey

Their selection is great! Tried the fresh italian bread, which was fantastic! The large cookie was just okay, but their donuts were perfectly soft and delicious, even in the middle of the afternoon. They even had some peanut butter biscuits for my dog, she really enjoyed them! read more

I'm so sad. I really like this bakery. They did an awesome job with our wedding cake. I was reading through the reviews and saw they are selling "Let's Go Brandon" cookies. I will never go there again. I will decline Door Dash orders from there. A divided community will never succeed. Never. Burlington is a leaning blue community. Divisive politics shouldn't seep into businesses. read more

Their baked goods may taste good but they choose to take joy in pushing political division, their latest is their Lets Go Brandon cookies. Hard to support a local business who supports more division in our country read more

Worst cherry pie I've ever eaten. Crust was under baked and fruit was sour. Will not be back.

I had place a order for cupcakes for a kids birthday party over the phone with a lady who works for JB everything was detailed and the order was made ready for pickup so the lady said days later I came in for the order and the employees said "we just don't have your order" I ask why and I got no answer every employee had an attitude day I don't know why then one of the employees told me just get the Christmas cupcakes knowing I came in to pick birthday cupcakes, the Christmas cupcakes look like they was leftovers for the night before I had to get them because the kids party was starting in a hour I had no choice none of the employees apologized to me for the inconvenience everyone had an attitude I even told them to have a nice day the employees was very unprofessional and the kids didn't even like the CHRISTMAS cupcakes anyway I learned my lesson BIG TIME I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FOR JB BAKERY AGAIN!!!!!!! read more

This bakery is a local business: however I can't say that I was all that impressed. Stopped in because I needed last minute cupcakes to celebrate my mother's birthday. They had a variety of cupcakes at different price points, so I purchased a half dozen along with an Oatmeal Raisin cookie. The Oatmeal Raisin cookie was kinda hard and I was hoping, with everything in me, that it'd be soft, so I was a little disappointed by that. The cupcakes were "meh". Definitely nothing to rave about. I take sweets pretty seriously, but these were just - okay. My kids loved the Elmo/Cookie Monster looking Cupcake (because it looked cool) but they barely ate the cupcake because that's what kids do... Ask for things and never eat it! I don't think I'd return to this bakery, especially since I liked L&M bakery A LOT in Delran and it's close to my job. read more

UPDATE!!!!! 14 days have gone by, STILL no credit and no phone call back! This Stephen Simons is a DISGRACE!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a rip-off!!!!!!!! Ordered 2 dozen Trump cookies for $96. but had to cancel 3 days before due to illness, party was downsized to small family members only. Ashley the manager said they'd credit my account but 10 days later and 5 phone calls they haven't done it!!!!!!!!!! DON'T BUY ANYTHING HERE!!!!!!!!!! read more

If I could give it a 0.5 I would. Service was embarrassing by the young counter-person who refused to give me her name...and I did ask her for her name. No matter my dear .. no matter. Note to manager, who was not on shift...please teach the staff to serve with a smile not a snare. Please coach your staff to approach clients who are viewing the case that screaming across the bakery is not personable service. Please coach the staff rolling of the eyes, snapping of the neck and expressing themselves is not necessary when the average client is in the store for 6-12 minutes. Congratulations you've just lost our cake order for a party of 110 people due to the terrible blonde girl on shift today that I have dubbed the 'idiot'. read more

This bakery has a lot of options for pastries and breads. I stopped in one day before work to get some donuts. The donuts were so much better than the mass-produced dunkin donuts. I've had better donuts from strictly donut shops but these donuts are very good for a bakery. They were soft a fluffy, and even tasted good being heated up the next day. I also got some rolls which were good. I didn't like the fudge I got there. I think I waited too long to eat it because after 2 days it got really hard. Overall, great pastry shop. read more

Hot minute since I returned here, on my way back from helping my friend move Saturday, My friend & I stopped by. They have added like 2 more cases now, more pastries, array of goodies, from Hammatosh, Bear claws, cheesecakes, sticky buns.etc. I was Very impressed. I got few items, & Can I say" Wow, very well made" They have stepped up to the plate in their quality. I don't know bout the Cake situation though, only can vouch for the other yummy goodnesses in there. The other cases had butter cookies, to huge 6-8" cookies-looked scrumptious. So if you have inkling for sweets, stop by here, definitely have something for everyone-more so Now!!I' ll be back..not too soon...have to go to the gym twice a day-if I did!! HA!!! read more

I ordered a fresh made Mardi Gras cake last week. I was sooooo disappointed. I shared with my neighbors, they were disappointed. For a fresh baked cake it was dry as hell. Taste like they got a cinnamon, reshaped it and added the colorful frosting and sugars on top. Next year i will make my way to New Orleans for a real cake. And they will not get my business again for anything. My neighbor is a great baker and she said she can do better than that. Will keep you posted. read more

I recently ordered a custom cake for my son's birthday from here. I sent a picture of what I wanted and asked it to be a 12 inch round cake all vanilla. The taste of their cakes is wonderful. The icing isn't overly sweet and the cake is moist even a day later it was good. The cake did come out good but the colors of the fondant weren't vibrant the way the picture I sent looked. Instead they were muted which was disappointing. There also wasn't much icing between the layers. I paid $195 which I thought was a little high but I was willing to pay it. (the base price of the 12 inch round cake is $95 fyi) Overall my guests enjoyed the cake but I might look elsewhere for a custom order next time. I will still be going there for other things. read more

Very nice local bakery! Friendly and efficient staff. I stopped in to get some goodies for a BBQ. I got a Pineapple Coconut Cupcake, Carrot Cake Cupcake and Vanilla-Vanilla Cupcake and the Peanut Butter Turtle. I also sampled a butter cookie and thought it was very good. On to the cupcakes! ...the carrot cake was moist but crumbly. It's a dark spiced cake with a good cream cheese frosting. It wasn't too sweet. The pineapple coconut cupcake would be better without the pineapple filling if you ask me. It's those canned pie type fillings. The vanilla cake was tasty but crumbly and a little more on the dry side. I prefer moist cake. The frosting was sweet and light and pillowy. Very good frosting! The plain vanilla cupcakes were similar the the pineapple coconut one. The real star here was the Peanut Butter Turtle. It's sort of a tiny cake. When I hear "turtle" I assume there is something with nuts and caramel. Like those pecan turtles. No caramel in this treat. It is thin moist chocolate cake formed into a cylinder. Inside is a delicious peanut butter mouse. Then it's covered in a not too sweet chocolate ganache, chocolate buttercream dollop and drizzled with peanut butter sauce. Sooo good. I'll be back for that alone. Prices seemed fair. I think the cupcakes were $3 or $3.50. read more

I do door dash and most businesses hand me food and quickly dismiss me. Today I went here for the first time and not only were they so kind but they gave me a donut on the house! Well needed since I door dash all day. I will definitely tell all my friends and family about this place. Not only was the service good but the donut tasted fresh. I can't wait to go back and taste the rest of there treats. read more

I use JB Bakery for all of my events!! The owner, Stephen, and the cake lady, Betty, always go above and beyond for my vision of the perfect cake! They have done everything from birthday cakes to an Oscar Party cake and most recently a "Baby gender reveal cake." These are becoming very popular to announce and celebrate what sex a new baby will be. Betty and JB Bakery's talented staff worked with the doctors office and were the only people who knew if we were having a boy or a girl. Their exquisite fondant cake creations are famous among our friends and family. I highly recommend this amazing bakery to anyone who needs a great cake at an awesome price from people who really care about you and your special occasion. read more

I agree with most others a VERY friendly and helpful staff. Our first visit there NOT on a bicycle. A great place and we will be back often. We bought a great loaf of soft Italian bread...One of their pepperoni breads which was good..I prefer a little more cheese...A piece of their house special cake...SUPER!! Vanilla Cheesecake with layers of chocolate cake and mousse with mousse and dark chocolate outer layers with white chocolate streaks and a buttercream rose... The Pizza is a story of its own...round and baked in a cast iron skillet in their oven with olive oil ...a layer of Ricotta under the mozzarella...mmmm. ..and at $1.50 a slice...Run to get it!! read more

I go in there for a wedding cake. They get the baker so she can hear my specific wants. The lady begins by correcting me and my "cake terminology" in a rude manner. Then she tells me that my idea is ugly and she can do a 1 layer white cake with white roses. No thank you. And their cream puffs dont have cream in them, its vanilla pudding.... thats not a cream puff. Correct that cake lady! read more

I hate this bakery and refuse to but from it again! I go to pay for my baked goods and I use a coupon, BUT because I didn't use the coupon before the cake was made they did not honor it. DISGUSTING, they treated me like garbage and were very rude. PLUS my 3 year old daughter got bad bad diarreha after eating a cookie from here. Then I had to clean it up it was nasty with all the pieces of cookie coming out of her butthole and mouth. read more

This Bakery should be ashamed of themselves! They tried to pass off two special cupcakes (RedVelvet & Carrot Cake Cupcakes) as Extra Big and Special for a price of $3.25 approx. Yet the Regular cupcakes are $.80-90 cents per cupcake? These 2 cupcakes were not even JUMBO CUPCAKES, They like to refer to them as a "slice of cake" size" REALLY? AND $3.25 APPROX) TRIPLE THE PRICE for Cream cheese icing and a "slight Bit" larger then their regular cupcake. I could see $2.00-2.50, thats what the House of Cupcakes gets up in Princeton, NJ. Did being on Food Network go to their heads? They are not even comparable to the flavor and quality o Gourmet cupcakes that are being sold out there. SHAME ON YOU--J&B BAKERY. Get your act together. I SAY BOYCOTT THIS PLACE!. THEY ARE RIPPING YOU OFF COMPLETELY! PS I am an avid fan of supporting your local bakery's. And I visit all famous cupcake shops local and distant. I do a lot of baking on my own, so I know my stuff. A few of their things are decent, like thiere specialy cakes you order, but forget the pricing and quality on most of their stuff. I will never support them unless they change their Act! read more

I bought a key lime pie last night before they closed. I remember how delicious it was when I first had it so I wanted a whole pie to bring back home. Great Bakery. Only second best to L&M, but if you can't get to Delran, J&B is a very close second!

Delicious baked goods and friendly staff!!! The red-velvet cupcakes are absolutely amazing!!!!

For a bakery that has amazing donuts and pepperoni bread, their cakes are the worst. The cakes are dry, and flavorless. Their buttercream frosting ends up feeling greasy and overwhelmingly sweet. read more
