Bear Omelette

One of my top favorite NJ eateries. More omelets, pancakes, and other breakfast (and lunch) options than you could count... and reasonable prices! If you're looking for a classy place, keep looking, but if you want a classic laid-back breakfast and lunch place (they close at 2!), this is your best bet. Bonus tip: You can substitute pancakes for potatoes!

Great Mother's Day breakfast at Amy's. We got lucky and didn't have to wait. We were happy we got a booth in the dining car. Our waitress was Mar. She was newish but fabulous. There are so many omelette combinations and you can customize any of them. I ended up with the South Jersey omelette which was tomato. Onion, American cheese with Scrapple instead of the pork roll it came with usually! This was by far my favorite omelette I've had there. I got French toast as my side and it was so good. It's always a struggle to pick between the pancakes and the French toast but they are both delicious. My Mom had the Australian omelette and switched her mushrooms for sundried tomato's, I love how flexible they are and everything always comes out correct! Be warned omelette an are served well done so if you don't want it that way let them

Vintage Jersey diner serving large portions of good food. Come hungry! Prompt service too

$38.

$38 is crazy. Omelette, toast, a side of bacon and orange juice. No home fries and it was mediocre.

Got there a little before 9:30am and we were seated right away. My favorite thing about Amy's is the amount of options they have on the menu. Whether you're craving an omelette, waffles, pancakes, French toast, or something else, you will not be disappointed by the flavor or portions. Or tip: you can swap out home fries and toast for a stack of 3 pancakes! I love their seasonal stuffed pumpkin pancakes, their omelettes are excellent, and my new favorite may be their super skillet! Peppers, onions, sausage, pork roll, bacon, eggs, and potatoes... what's not to like!

Amazing omelets! Service was super fast and our waitress was brand new but knowledgeable and so friendly. We really enjoyed the food - so fresh and plentiful.

Love this place! Haven't been here in a while but we were in the area so I figured I'd stop in and get one of my all time favorite breakfasts, FIRE CAKES! Forgot how good the food is. Service was great. So good, check them out.

I could easily eat here every weekend for a year and not run out of dishes I want to try. Even though it's obviously popular, the chaos is controlled by a well organized staff. The menu is huge but everything looks delicious. Then the actual food.... First, they have a perfect balance of egg, filling, and sauce. (Okay, maybe a hair more sauce so every bite is guaranteed to have an ample ratio) The omelettes are warm and obviously brought out right away. Then the potato pancakes are worth the substitution - they're well seasoned, crisp, but no oil. Personally, I like to end my meal with the most delicious bite, and it was a struggle to decide between the omelette and the pancake!

Food was standard diner food.

Standard diner food but cool looking interior that looks vintage. Service was okay and food was okay. Prices were a little higher than expected for Burlington.

More like 3.5 stars... nothing to complain about, not amazing, but definitely above average. I'm glad I finally checked this place out after driving past it for so many years. The veggy skillet and caramel apple cakes were a good choice.

Of course when I get there there's a table full of loud cackling cat ladies...the food was expensive, it's the second diner I've been to this week where they had no desserts of any kind, and the bathroom was the size of a closet. Another stellar day.

We were pleasantly surprised at Amy's Omelette House. There is plenty of parking and the restaurant is a lot bigger than it looks. Service was great and portions were large. I got the Chicken and Biscuits with gravy and my wife got a loaded Hash Brown dinner. We both couldn't finish our plates. Exactly the place we were looking for.

Bland, bland and more bland!!! Zero seasoning. (Steak omelet)

Small town ambiance Have you ever wanted to live out your wildest small town diner dreams? Well come to the Radcliffe, where the servers are all so sweet and make you feel like you are a local that comes in everyday for coffee and your sunny side eggs. The customer service right from the door is so warm and inviting like a hug from a cozy grandma. As for the food, you get mostly classic breakfast foods like pancakes, sandwiches and the crispy home fries. It is nothing flashy but it is delicious. The coffee is good and they are constantly filling your cup. I also appreciate that they have reasonable prices in this crazy economy. The only downside is that the place is small, so be prepared to wait on the weekend a little bit. We have never waited more than 15 minutes because this part of town is not too busy. Come check them out!

I had their two egg special - eggs scrambled with sausage links, home fries and rye toast for $6-$7 ..... with coffee, around $10-$11. The home fries were ok, but the eggs and sausage hit the spot. Their coffee was a tasty roasted blend that needed nothing added. Their lunch menu looks like it has some great choices with all different styles of - steak sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches and salads. I'd definitely return if in the area for the friendly and quick service. If you need a break from the busier Mill Street area this is a good place to land! Thanks guys!

But I went again in June and the menu is extremely limited and the food was not good. The wines are good and the two appetizers I've had each time are still delicious: tuna tartare, and the truffle fries. But each time I went I had the burger and it's bad. Very bland and last time it was too under so I got it well this time and it was straight burnt. It was bitter I didn't finish it. It only comes with cheese lettuce and onions, very boring. The service is good I had the same server both times she's very nice and always helpful with any questions and recommendations. I went on a Friday night walk in and there was no wait. Also the bathroom sign has an arrow to direct you but it's pointing the wrong way so just walk past the sign to get to the bathroom. All in all I won't be back for the food. They have a patio so maybe I'll come back for a drink to sit outdoors.

The inside is on the darker side with brick floors and just a few windows at the front letting in some natural light. They have framed pictures hanging on the walls just about everywhere. The counter with stools was a bit tight, but a great spot to sit down and grab a bite. On my latest visit, I sat at a tiny table for two which was fine for flying solo. The booths and tables look much roomier. Food wise I stuck to simple two egg breakfasts. Sunny side up and scrambled with potatoes and I tried the hot sausage which was ground with hot pepper flakes and oil. It was a big portion with the sausage and came to about $14 and change. The eggs, toast and potatoes with no meat was a couple dollars less. Breakfasts included coffee which was a simple diner roast. The staff was friendly and kept stopping over to check on me and keep my coffee topped off. Overall, I liked the ambiance and felt like I had gone back to the 70's-early 80's with the decor and MGK classic rock playing over the speakers. They are cash only, but have an ATM on site. I am not sure if Management has changed but whatever it was / is needs to be addressed immediately for the sake of not losing customers. Asking to be seated at a different table other than the one we were initially seated at (bc it was right by the door and the wind coming in was freezing) was the first red flag because the hostess seemed bewildered and bothered that we wanted a new table despite there being 50-11 other open tables throughout the joint. It literally then took 15 minutes before our server greeted us and it just kept rolling downhill at a faster and faster rate by the minute. Appetizers done before our cocktails arrived, cocktails done before we could order our entrees, entrees arrived missing key components and it took a good 10 minutes before we could get our server and the minute she walks over she says oh you need the ABC ... ma'am! If you KNEW what we needed why didn't you immediately address it without us having to flag you down???!!!??? And the reason it took 10 minutes to flag her down was because the rest of the floor staff was running around like chickens with their heads cut off ignoring diners trying to get their attention. Oh and the best part was that there was this "figure of management" present ... and I say "figure of management" because he was also ignoring diners and not checking in with them like a restaurant manager typically does ... he was only going to the empty tables cleaning them, slowly adding place settings, rearranging the empty tables ... trying to look busy!!!!! It was honestly comical at one point. We asked for boxes for our food because we still never received all of what was missing despite our server acknowledging it was missing and stating she would bring it back. We literally never ever received it smh . My BF told her this was the worst service we've ever had and it probably didn't even phase her because her attitude overall was just sucky from the beginning. If this is all because of new management they need to go on and get new new management before this place's reputation is ruined.

The restaurant is in this cute little area with shops, restaurants and bars and is a popular destination because when we were leaving out after finishing our meal the place was jam packed and there was at least an hour wait (but no wait when we came in thankfully). It's important to note that this is NOT authentic Mexican food ... but it was pretty good nonetheless. The margarita flight was cute and gave us the ability to try a few flavors out before committing to a large one. The favorites were the white peach and pineapple margaritas (the other 2 in the flight were the traditional and prickly pear). We ordered the Crab Mexican Street Corn for an appetizer and while it was loaded with crab, it wasn't Mexican Street Corn ... it was seasoned corn with old bay and a few other ingredients topped with crab. I ordered the Steak & Shrimp Combo Fajitas which was a nice portion size (I took 3/4 home) and the flavors were pretty darn tasty, but when you order fajitas you expect the "sizzle" and these didn't have that nor were they have the right temperature ... they were just warm when I wanted and expected them to be hot. The refried beans were yummy despite them not looking too appetizing but the rice was too soft. Service was good overall and pricing was also reasonable. If we're in the neighborhood again and in the mood for margaritas we may just stop back in.

The inside was clean and the bar area I sat at although small was a decent spot to have a drink and grub. The staff was mostly young kids who were very nice. The chips and salsa they offer were boring. The salsas both roja and verde lacked flavor, mostly spice. The chips were fresh, but thick and bland. I think a thinner homemade style would work better. The first bartender I dealt with was great with the menu. She recommended several menu items. I ended up rolling with the Shrimp and Crab Enchiladas at $18 - jumbo lump crab, old bay cream cheese, tiger shrimp, cilantro and lime rice. The lime rice was worthless. It had zero flavor and was dry. The Enchiladas were creamy, but lacked spice and complexity. The tiger shrimp had a delicious grilled, moist flavor and were the best part. My second trip had a newer bartender who was getting her feet wet. She was friendly, but busy familiarizing herself with the bar so I went simple and ordered Birria Tacos - $15 Braised beef, onions, cilantro, lime Oaxaca cheese, consommé. The beef was dry and not tender. The shells were ok. The best part was the lime Oaxaca cheese and the consommé somewhat helped me get the beef down. The portion was very small. Not a good value in my humble opinion. The other patrons were mostly young and enjoying margaritas. I think booze is the draw to this spot. Without it your just getting average Mexican grub. Heck of a location in the Borough, but my visits left me longing for a hot pepper!
