The service is quick, the food is fresh and delicious. The owner/manager is charming. Next time we're ordering the Mediterranean breakfast.

I understand that opinions on bagels, pizza, hell...EVERYTHING will run the gamut from awesome to…read moreawful, even when evaluating the same subject matter. That's the beauty of Yelp, we share our thoughts and help others in determining their next adventure in the world of goods and services! As for "Bagel Cafe," located in the South Jersey town of Delran in Burlington County, the harsh "TLDR" of my opinion on them is: what they sell isn't even a bagel! Keep driving northward, buy a 6 pack of a grocery store brand, or set your expectations here accordingly. For one, there is zero chew. Bagels are supposed to be boiled. I don't know why, but these had no chew. Bagels are a fine balance of chewy and pillowy. They have body to them, but they aren't supposed to be dense like a hockey puck. These lean toward the hockey puck side of things. Flavor? I went with plain and asked for it untoasted: the true test of a bagel in the eyes of many. The verdict: a faint chemical/artificial aftertaste that reminded me of the grocery store brands my parents would buy in Florida, or the variety found at a roadside motel's continental breakfast buffet. For $9, the lox provided was quite skimpy. The schmear was also far from generous. On the bright side/ I could at least taste the chintzy amount of lox due to the lack of flavor & small quantity in everything else. Speaking of generous, anything more than 1 star to describe this so-called "bagel cafe" is kind and generous in my eyes. If your eponymous product is lackluster- either improve it, or change the name of your establishment and spare yourself the embarrassment. After all, we live with the expectations we set. My girlfriend had a plain, untoasted with scallion cream cheese. No hyperbole: she put half of it in the trash despite being hungry. Spare YOURSELF $9 for the lox bagel (about $3 for others) and the disappointment you'll feel upon choosing your next adventure at Delran's "Bagel Café." At least we didn't get sick! Glass half full: they do accept credit cards and the scallion cream cheese had scallions in it. Let's call this a "1.5 stars if I could." EDIT: forgot to mention that my cat expressed zero interest in the lox, when he's usually all over it from a good bagel shop.

This brought us to Moore bagels as they open at 6 am and thank goodness because we LOVED it! Ok what did we love? 1) Decor and lay out. You step into a gorgeous open space that's well laid out with great seating options. The big table was amazing for our group. Loved the floors. 2) the BAGELS! They tasted amazing and were huge. I decided to do the special but also got bagels to go for my girls and hubby. We tried the egg, chocolate chip, plain and peanut butter. All amazing! 3) COFFEE!!! We've been testing out coffee around south Jersey and I was pleasantly surprised that this bagel shop had amazing coffee. While the selection is limited it's still perfect. I got a iced Carmel latte with oat milk (get the oat guys, thank me later) 4) the Refresher ! I love to try multiple drinks so I also got the watermelon mint refresher and yum. Perfect way to rehydrate after the run. 5) The service! We rolled in squad deep with 9 people and they were so quick to take our orders and fill them. They offered suggestions and were super friendly. While taking a selfie they even offered to take this pic Excited to go back

Theres a touch screen where i can place my order and not have any human interaction. My toasted bagel with plain cream cheese costs $6.60 and the kiosk allows for a tip. Id love to see a kiosk that offers the customer a discount for the cost reduction in the self service. Its a "shake my head moment" when an establishment asks for an acknowledgment for going above and beyond when the the transaction met expectations-- go to the bagel store, order a bagel, receive a bagel.

It's a nice little shop in a plaza. I was greeted warmly and the phone orders were starting to roll in. I ordered a bakers dozen of bagels, going for a mix of the standard plain and everything, to the exotic French toast and the cheddar bacon bagels. I also got a few containers of their cannoli, scallion, garlic, and plain cream cheese. The dozen bagels and smears set me back about 40 bucks. A little pricy but the quality was good, the bagels fresh, and the staff was nice. I rate them a 4 because despite my best efforts, I was unable to actually try them. The 13 or so bagels were placed on the conference table and devoured almost on the spot. A cavalcade of bagel toppings littered the table like glitter on a child's arts and crafts table. The smears were not smeared, but dunked in the cream cheese. Any semblance of order was tossed aside like the paper bag that housed them. The general consensus was that the bagels were good, but I needed to get more next time. Given the battleground scene that played out, I'm slightly reluctant to repeat. So I can't say if they are good, but I can say that they are a bit messy and are a little pricy if serving a crowd.

Pre-Revolutionary, the…read moreDelaware River, Mill Street stroll, and Radcliffe Street all add to make for a great place for a hours long exploration if your can't afford a riverfront home. Now adding to the enjoyment is The Bagel Joint housed in what used to be the old pharmacy and thereafter sewing shop at #257. Most of the original woodwork and medicinal draws are still there. A few days after the snow of the decade the drifts and plowed piles of graying white made parking problematic, but I managed to back into a shallow spot right across the street. Walking in, the morning sun through the large windows made the room bright and cheery. Mike was behind the counter and greeted me heartily. He let me know that there was a special breakfast deal - meat, egg and cheese of choice, plus tater tots for the price of the sandwich alone. I couldn't resist. Cooper Sharp Cheddar, please, on Onion Bagel. To go. It was all still warm when I reached the office; so I settled in at my desk to chow down before getting to work. It was all very good and filled me quickly. The tots were more than I could finish. The transport had taken the crispness from the bagel and taters, but the flavor was there. Given my self imposed delay in eating right from the grill, I can't be sure that the bagels went though the boil/bake cycle, although I read in another review that they were produced offsite and flash frozen, rather than made onsite. I will leave that discovery to someone else. For me, I was satisfied with my breakfast and would return when time and circumstance permit. 4 Bristol charm Stars for The Bagel Joint.

I loved all the vintage photos of the borough they had up and the original drugstore woodwork on the walls. The guy who helped me was friendly and patient. He loved talking shop. Although he tried to talk me into having their "Slack Attack" sandwich - pork roll, bacon, sausage, ham & egg with choice of cheese and bread (good lord that's a lot of meat!!), I settled for a sausage, egg and cheese on a pumpernickel bagel. Their bagels are baked and flash frozen by Pretzelworks off Oxford Ave in Philly. The sandwich was a good size and had good flavors (they forgot my hot sauce request) and a light kick from the sausage patty. The bagel had typical rye pumpernickel flavor, and a balanced portion of cheese, egg and meat. If you like a bagel that's dense with a bit of a chewiness you'll enjoy theirs. I think they wanted around $6.50 to $7.00 for the sandwich which was fair. I didn't try the coffee, but it smelled good. I'd definitely return if I'm in the area and when it's warmer! Thanks guys!
