The service was excellent. The bagels are adequate, but not up to New York standard. I didn't try anything else from the menu.

Was in the Mount Holly area and in the mood for a bagel for breakfast. Bagel Express was the…read moreclosest and had really great reviews so it seemed like a solid choice. You can tell from the exterior that it was an old Wawa converted into a bagel shop and convenience store under one roof. The bagel counter is the first thing you see walking in and the bagels looked amazing and there were really unique options like Cool Ranch, Dorito and Oreo bagels. I'm a sucker for anything ranch so I went with a toasted cool ranch with veggie cream cheese and an iced coffee. The iced coffee was self -serve and I mixed the traditional black coffee with the French vanilla ... added creamer and my sweetener and it was DELISH! You have to get the ice from the staff behind the counter which was unexpected but that didn't make the coffee any less delicious. The bagel was good too ... not what I expected from a consistency standpoint as it was really soft and stuffy and didn't have the traditional chew and bite like most Jersey bagels, but it was definitely good nonetheless. The veggie cream cheese also had a bit of spice too which was different. Lastly the customer service was wonderful! The young lady at the counter was really friendly and the staff preparing the food were too. Oh and there's a large parking lot with plenty of parking. I would definitely visit again and try one of their specialty sandwiches.

Most bagel places are the same to me but NOT Bagel Express I think they stand out above the rest. I usually get the cream cheese w/ chives and assorted bagels. Egg and cinnamon and raisin are staples.

Pre-Revolutionary, the…read moreDelaware River, Mill Street stroll, and Radcliffe Street all add to make for a great place for a hours long exploration if your can't afford a riverfront home. Now adding to the enjoyment is The Bagel Joint housed in what used to be the old pharmacy and thereafter sewing shop at #257. Most of the original woodwork and medicinal draws are still there. A few days after the snow of the decade the drifts and plowed piles of graying white made parking problematic, but I managed to back into a shallow spot right across the street. Walking in, the morning sun through the large windows made the room bright and cheery. Mike was behind the counter and greeted me heartily. He let me know that there was a special breakfast deal - meat, egg and cheese of choice, plus tater tots for the price of the sandwich alone. I couldn't resist. Cooper Sharp Cheddar, please, on Onion Bagel. To go. It was all still warm when I reached the office; so I settled in at my desk to chow down before getting to work. It was all very good and filled me quickly. The tots were more than I could finish. The transport had taken the crispness from the bagel and taters, but the flavor was there. Given my self imposed delay in eating right from the grill, I can't be sure that the bagels went though the boil/bake cycle, although I read in another review that they were produced offsite and flash frozen, rather than made onsite. I will leave that discovery to someone else. For me, I was satisfied with my breakfast and would return when time and circumstance permit. 4 Bristol charm Stars for The Bagel Joint.

I loved all the vintage photos of the borough they had up and the original drugstore woodwork on the walls. The guy who helped me was friendly and patient. He loved talking shop. Although he tried to talk me into having their "Slack Attack" sandwich - pork roll, bacon, sausage, ham & egg with choice of cheese and bread (good lord that's a lot of meat!!), I settled for a sausage, egg and cheese on a pumpernickel bagel. Their bagels are baked and flash frozen by Pretzelworks off Oxford Ave in Philly. The sandwich was a good size and had good flavors (they forgot my hot sauce request) and a light kick from the sausage patty. The bagel had typical rye pumpernickel flavor, and a balanced portion of cheese, egg and meat. If you like a bagel that's dense with a bit of a chewiness you'll enjoy theirs. I think they wanted around $6.50 to $7.00 for the sandwich which was fair. I didn't try the coffee, but it smelled good. I'd definitely return if I'm in the area and when it's warmer! Thanks guys!

It seems to specialize in breakfast and lunch sandwiches, and has limited inventory for anything beyond those basics. There is a small grill in back where the lone proprietress holds down the fort from order taking, cooking, packing and cashiering. Impressed with her ability to handle it all by her lonesome. Although I was there for a bagel, I quickly learned that Kingsway doesn't bake its own breads, but gets supplies from local markets. My Onion Bagel came right out of a plastic sleeve, was mass produced, and had to be toasted to reanimate. I could have any flavor cream cheese, as long as it was plain white. It was a better than average supermarket bagel, but a far cry from what was available at nearby real bagel shops. Yeah. Fair to say I was disappointed, but I still spent my money there, because it was obvious this shoestring operation needed some help. Oh! And they didn't offer coffee with their breakfasts. Had to stop elsewhere for the java, but on Rt. 130 that is not a challenge. Still, how can you grade a place like this higher than 3 Stars, when they lack a staple like Columbian Supremo? 2.5 Stars Perhaps, they shouldn't call themselves a bagel place.
