    savory czech kolache and chai
    Raisa Z.

Super cute and fun place! Lots of options for a little snack and drink. We got the savory Czech kolache and the sausage kolache and were very satisfied. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. They have indoor and outdoor seating, which is great for when the weather is nice. You can plan a cute date here by stopping by the cafe and then going to the antique store right next door. I will definitely be trying more desserts here next time I visit!

This place is just as cute on the inside as it is on the outside! I loved browsing the decor and antiques while sipping my coffee. There were plenty of tables inside and out to sit as well! I enjoyed a savory kolache and a tiramisu iced latte, both of which I enjoyed. I would love to come back in better weather to enjoy sitting outside!

This place is incredible spot for a date or a quick bite to relax and unwind. The employees are very kind and the food is delicious. The breakfast English muffin sandwiches are straightforward but full of flavor and there's a lot of different types of coffee and other drinks. The outside seating is where it's at, especially on a warm day. Went here with my wife before a hike in Rancocas Woods and it was amazing.

The ambiance and coziness of the cafe are by far the standout of the coffee shop. There's an idyllic water wheel outside, the staff are friendly, and in warm weather, there likely is no better place to enjoy a cup of coffee or a tasty pastry. It's nice to get some work done here or meet up with a friend but their website is accurate in regard to only offering a light lunch. If you want more food options, you might be better going elsewhere, but there are plenty of delicious sweet treats available if that is your preference!

Cute idea. The dining room is a bit crowded with seating, but that just bred friendly familiarity with strangers. I ordered a coffee and some kind of simple Polish concoction that was like a sandwich.... but not. For $6, what I got was nothing like I expected - more like a tiny appetizer, but OK. I was also a little disappointed that they don't leave out any milk or creamer for customers to add. You have to ask for the staff to add it - a little embarrassing for this gal, who tends to just a little bit of coffee to her creamer. Yes, I like my coffee to look and taste like Haagen Daz ice cream. Everything else looked delicious - cookies, pastries, slices of cake, etc. There is one lady who works there who was extremely loud, which earned a lot of eye rolling and side eyes from customers, but I think she meant well and just didn't realize how loud her voice is.

Beautiful space, friendly staff, and a variety of delicious food to choose from! I was so happy that one of my friends invited me to test out for green cats. I'll definitely return one in the area to try some new treats.

I've had this cafe on my list to visit for over a year now and when I finally got there, it lived up to all of the hype. Situated out front of the building is a quaint water wheel that really sets a relaxing tone. This vibe continues as you step into the most cozy and welcoming little breakfast restaurant. They have a variety of seating in mismatch chairs and tables of all colors and fabrics. There's a Christmas tree that changes with the seasons, a small fireplace, and some restrooms for patrons. The staff were friendly, but we did have to patiently wait in a somewhat long line that morning. Our food (Czech eggs and dumplings and a danish) came out about 10 mins after ordering, but our hot chai teas were almost immediate. The quality of the food was high, but I think the prices were fair. I can't wait to come back to try some of the donuts.

Cool cafe in a cute antique town. The pastries and drinks were made well and served by friendly staff members. Its a great little spot to relax and get a bite to eat.

Awesome atmosphere. Very friendly staff. All food is fresh and authentic. The cafe is connected to a larger barn that hosts an antique shop. Great place to visit on a slow weekend. Everything was delicious.

The ambiance, the service, the food, the vibes. All 10/10. I got a delicious chocolate covered strawberry latte, some donuts and German bread pudding to go. The donuts are not over sweet at all, if anything they are more like a bread? I guess that's what bohemian means? I have no idea! But I loved it! 10/10 will be back again.

Food was delicious! Fresh baked donuts and this goulash pastry was so different and delicious! Small menu but everything on there is quality and fresh. The vibes are so cute in there, too. Will definitely be back

We did our usual, apps, entrees and dessert. I mean that's only fair in doing a proper review. For apps we had the fried artichokes, Italian eggrolls and stuffed long hots. Eggrolls were my favorite. They were like a mini roast pork and broccoli rabe sandwich but in a tiny package. So good. The artichokes were good but for the price I would pass it was mostly arugula. Long hots were spicy and stuffed. Hubs like them. Steak sandwich was good. Not dry. Now to the pizza. I enjoyed the prosciutto and fig pizza more than the margarita but only because of the salty sweet contrast. So good. Pizza crust had a nice chew. Dessert was good. I like the citrus flavor of the ricotta cheesecake a lot. If I was in the area I would go back.

Once inside, the feeling was a lot better. Not much in the way of art work on the walls, but still had a nice warm feeling. There were 3 of us and we did a lot of sharing. The Scallops in Shredded Filo was good but the Crab & Artichoke, with garlic aioli, parsley and capers was definitely "the winner". The Seafood Ceviche with scallops, halibut and shrimp was also delicious. While 2 of us were still enjoying our appetizers, our entrees were brought to the table and our plates moved to make room for them. I made the comment to no one in particular that I would try to eat faster as the seafood ceviche was pushed off to the side of the table. We had a 7 pm reservation and for the most part the restaurant was full by that time but we were not intentionally eating slowly. I could see if we might be taking up too much time eating and they had to move the tables but that was not the case as the restaurant was only half full by the time we left. For an establishment that is charging the prices that it is, Avg $18 for appetizers, high $30s for entrees, no one wants to feel rushed. The Halibut Almondine with Beurre Blank was good but not as good as we had hoped, with it being on the dry-side. The Dorado with Baby Vegetables was delicious as well as beautifully presented with "potato fish scales". A shared warm Pecan Pie with Vanilla Ice Cream completed our meal. Their menu is extensive making it an easy decision to return but I will mention that we would like a more leisurely experience this time around.

Chef Salvatore worked with us to fine-hone the menu (appetizers, salad, pasta course and dessert were served family style; main courses were individual [and there were about five choices guests could choose from]), and it was all as good as it could possibly have been. All the guests we're blown away with the quality of the food and how it was served - it all felt so personal and unique. Our guests were our adult children, some relatives-who-are-friends and other couples, some of whom we have known for 40 years, and some for just a few. And it all worked perfectly. That is the worst thing we do in America before you eat for health reasons. The ceasar uses a blend of canola and olive oil like most restaurants even if some say they don't. But so far they are all saying they use a blend. It's just cheaper and non the wiser unless you ask. Like I do. We didn't get it. I make it at home from scratch several times week. I learn as a server where else made it in a few minutes table side. Coddled egg yolk, pinch dry mustard, crushed garlic, worceshire sauce. Vinegar, anchovies. You may have to fold your mirrors in to hit cars, I'm not exaggerating. I had envisioned a larger restaurant but this was small with maybe 7 tables. We sat at one with padded wooden benches that was comfortable. We were the only customers when arrived for lunch. The menu is limited and the waitress was as authentic as the food. There were some lunch specials posted but we opted to try three things: mushroom cheese bread, potato pancakes and the blueberry pierogies. The pierogies were definitely handmade and on the larger side as soon as you cut it open, the blueberries rushed out. There was a sweet sugary sauce on the top. That was unexpected. They were served cold and not warm. They were sweet. There were two of us and we each were only able to eat one of the six that came in the order. The mushroom cheese bread was drizzled with ketchup, which was unexpected that cheese was melting and gooey. Our favorite item was definitely the potato pancakes. They were cooked to perfection and the sour cream was the perfect condiment. They do have limited drinks here, including bottled water, cans of Pepsi and diet Pepsi, and some unique bottled drinks like birch water. The biggest drawback for the spot was that I just didn't think it was as clean as I would've liked it to be. They serve Bassett's ice cream, which runs out of Philadelphia and boast themselves as America's oldest ice cream brand. While I hadn't tried out their ice cream before, I took a look at several cartons of their ice cream and was quite surprised at how many ingredients they had, including fillers and preservatives. The ingredient list was less of a mom & pop local ice cream, and more along the lines of a mass market processed ice cream brand. I tried their cookies and cream ice cream (3.5/5), which was decent, but wasn't as rich in texture as I usually like my ice cream to be. Perhaps I just chose the wrong flavor, but wasn't overly impressed with my first experience with Bassett's ice cream. While I loved the shop itself and the employees, I wasn't sold on Bassett's ice cream personally, but would recommend them to others seeking an ice cream treat while visiting Rancocas Woods.
